This place makes the best fish and chips I’ve found in central London, easily! Overall, my only complaint is that I think the price has climbed a little too steep, otherwise it would be an easy 5 stars in my book. The fish is great. I had the haddock, and the inside is flaky, with a crisp and slightly crunchy breading, that tastes great to boot. The chips are amazing in my opinion, nice and thick, with a bit of crispness on the outside, and a nice thick, soft bit of potato on the inside. I enjoy eating the meal with a gherkin, and their coleslaw is good too! I visited the takeaway side of the business, and at the tables there is/are plenty of utensils, ketchup, mayo, salt, pepper, vinegar, and napkins. Everything you need! I always think fish and chips might be a bit dull, but every time I go to Seashell, I’m reminded just how enjoyable it can be! I recommend it strongly, but be prepared to pay. It’s 15.50 for a fish and chips, but sauces (outside of ketchup and mayo), gherkins, etc, is extra. Quite pricy, which is a pity as I would go more often otherwise.

Worth the trek for proper fish and chips with the option to have smaller portions (which aren't always available) since your typical fish & chips spot only has one gigantic portion on offer. Batter tastes light and healthier than other spots in London.

A London institution, and great to visit either for takeaway or dine in. When we visited on a Saturday lunchtime the restaurant was largely empty, so perhaps a little lacking in atmosphere. But the service was exceptionally friendly, and the food delicious. All the usual fish and chips staples and a few surprises as well. I had my haddock coated in panko breadcrumbs rather than batter, my partner had the halloumi salad. Sit outside the takeaway on a sunny day and people watch over a generous portion of chips - an afternoon well spent.

Delicious lunch at The Seashell of Lisson Grove, and I must say, their fish is incredibly fresh and tasty. The chips were just right – not overly deep-fried, which is a rare find. Overall, a delightful fish and chips experience! 🐟🍟

Delicious ! We ordered small bites - fish cakes and cod with veg. Not greasy and very tasty. Service took a bit of time as they are making it fresh.

I was taken there on a Monday evening and thus could have explained that it was fairly quiet. Service and food was excellent. I liked the choice of having your fish fried in panko or matzo coatings, so I tried matzo which was excellent. Crispy and not greasy which it can sometimes be with batter. They offer bottomless chips which I didn’t need to take up. Portions were ample for me. Apple pie was different to how I expected too. Recommend this restaurant and its octopus sculpture. Good to keep this institution going. I didn’t know of it before but I plan to go back.

My new favourite fish and chips place! Delicious and fresh. No BS. Waitstaff are very friendly and helpful. And they've got cool decorations too!

My wife and i had taken a trip to London the first week of September and had purchased two 4 choice London explorer passes from Costco which included the choice of a Fish & Chip dinner at The SeaShell of Lisson Grove Restaurant. After looking at and comparing a few different Fish & Chip places online we decided to try the SeaShell. When we arrived at the restaurant we were greeted by Jack who turned out to be our Waiter for our dinner , Jack was very quick to spark up a conversation suggest that we try both the Cod and Haddock to share and recommended a tasty pint that would go nicely with the meal so we went with one Haddock and one Cod dinner and shared the fish. The fish was lightly breaded and absolutely delicious , perfectly done and the chips were just as good. When we had almost all Chips done Jack was very fast to bring out some fresh fried Chips for us both and also went above and beyond to Charge my dying phone for me and to bring us a bowl of salad on the house , must point out that the ice cream was also tasty , can't say enough about this place Jack was awesome the food was awesome and we will return again when back in London. For the Restaurant Management we both hope you appreciate Jack as much as we did. Cheers

I had the salmon fish and chips, which I always wanted to try and it went aboe my expectations. The chips were a bit mushy, but fish was super crunchy and crusty omg. My partner got a garlic scampi that was also tasty. Ambientation is great, they have this massive metal octopus as might see in other picture. The floor and tables are also slighly sticky, they could improve that I guess. It definetely better than the score it has, however some people mentioned that the server is not great. To us was perfect, the waiter was BUSY but he was quite attentive to us. Don't forget to reserve as there were many people that just poped in and were denied a table. Overall, it's not a fancy, posh place, it's an everyday fish and chips place, probably a better place in the past given how impressive the settings it, but it looks it had better times.

One of UK’s most special dishes is fish and chips. We went on recommendation and it was incredibly beautiful. Although it was fries which was not heavy. The shrimp fry was also very nice. If you go, I say eat here.
