Excellent service, set menu C, enjoyed it all especially the duck. Lovely interior, relaxed quality dining. With a bottle of wine and coffees very reasonable price for the location.
Fantastic, fresh and tasty food. Could eat here every night and still not exhaust the extensive menu
Have eaten here several times now. It’s the best in London
Excellent food, fabulous service and no other white people eating. Real Chinese cuisine. Great location. I will never eat anywhere else in Chinatown. They won my heart and undying loyalty.
Outstanding food and service. Would recommend to anyone who is in London's West End and likes quality Chinese food

The family loved it. Fast and good service. We got the set menu C and it was excellent. Even the kids loved every dish.
awesome food - great atmosphere - great value for money and very friendly staff. go you wont be dissapointed
Delicious dim sung , amazing variety to choose from. Fresh tasting food served by helpful and kind staff. We will return here soon.
This place is great. We had the mixed hors d’oeuvres, chicken yuk sung, half crispy duck, salt and pepper squid, special fried rice, char siu pork. Every dish was great and well cooked. Service from all staff was excellent. The venue was great also. Will return next time I’m in London.
Great food. nice ambience. Value for money. The staff was also very friendly. Must visit for families , couples, groups. One of the places that make mid range food with great taste and fine dining experience
This place is located in Chinatown. You will be spoilt for choice if you are looking to eat Chinese in Chinatown. We somehow zeroed down on this place by the elimination rule. This place is radically Chinese. The ambience is cool and inviting. For beers, they have only tiger and Tsingtao. The waiters are friendly and forthcoming. As obvious it is, we started our food journey with dim-sums. Our other sides, chicken satay and pork belly were perfectly made. The spicy sauces added the right zing to the food. The Mains, the Singapore noodles and the prawns fried rice were wholesome and would easily suffice for 3 people. Overall it set us back by 75 pounds for 3 people with heavy eating and 2 rounds of beer. Overall a good place for authentic Chinese food.
If you like chinese food, then this is a place to visit in London! I couldnt stop eating and tasting items, everything was delicious with a HUGE variety on the menu.
Staff are very experienced and friendly !
I was curious to try Orient London as when it used to be Jade Garden it was one of my favourite addresses for day time dim sum in Chinatown. I heard the cooks were mostly the same as old Jade Garden. I guess this must be one of the better places for dim sum because you need to take a number and queue. We only had a ten minute wait on a Sunday at lunchtime. They do provide menus and the tick box order form that you can fill out while you wait. The dim sum menu is more extensive than a lot of places. We did have to ask for soy sauce and vinegar after food started arriving. There was no julienned ginger in the black vinegar as is customary of more upmarket places. If you ask for chilli paste they bring both chilli oil and chilli paste.
Har gau was of good quality in that the prawns were nice large chunks rather than mince. Not an exquisitely stretchy tight skin though. Xiao long bao, or soup dumplings were good, though the broth was not quite as flavorful as in upmarket and rather pricier Shikumen (off Chinatown).
Turnip cakes were pleasant but did not contain the usual dried shrimp and shitake. Turnip puff pastry is an item you don't see often and was quite nice. Savoury meat croquette were a lovely chewy texture. Fried sesame balls were nicely flavoured, being not too sweet. Pan fried spring onion pancake was on the greasy side. Actually, all of the fried dim sum were somewhat greasy.
Service has improved since the old Jade Garden days. Though given the queue, we did feel a little rushed as soon as we had finished eating. They were already clearing the table as my companion was still finishing her last dim sum. They filled a takeaway box of leftovers for us.
Good service, good fresh food, great location near/on Leicester Square. Nice clean restaurant with good, busy atmosphere. Wine and beer available.
Orient London 15 Wardour St is one of Chinatown’s newest sons. It was opened on 16th June 2015 by hospitality entrepreneur Patrick Cheung after a complete refurbishment of the four storey building. Our rep in London, Mr Foodie Senior, jumped at the chance for some Dim Sum (also known as Yum Cha).
This place is at the start of china town and it looks very classy. However the rates arent that high and is mostly on the mid range. The service here is very attentive and make sure that you are properly taken care of. They know the menu well and provide a lot of insight on the food.
I had
their chicken main course with noodles, The dishes were cooked well and the chicken was tasty. However it was nothing out of the ordinary. I would recommend this place for a business meeting, Family get together if you are in the mood for Chinese food
Visit Again ? Probably not ! Though it was a decent place it didnt have the wow factor for me to visit again.
Drool Factor ? The food was good but nothing drool worthy.
Hole in the pocket ? Well not a big hole it is moderately priced.
Bit of a hit and miss, depending on what you order (and we ordered a lot). The baby squids were not up to par. Neither was the beef balls, which lacked texture and density. The roast duck and the tripe, however, were delightful, as was the mango pudding. The chives and prawn dumpling was good, but the siumay felt unfresh. I expected more from Orient, but it's still a fine place for weekend yumcha. The 12.5% service charge, which annoyingly seems to be applied as standard these days, is undeserving for the robotic, monotone service.
Excellent pork bun (chasiu) and egg tarts, you won’t find it in other dim sum restaurants. Best for Cheung fun with shrimps, very freshly made.
Very kind staff.
Orient London is a popular Chinese restaurant in Chinatown, London. It offers a wide range of authentic Chinese cuisine, including dim sum.
I recently had the opportunity to try their dim sum, and I was very impressed. The dishes were all freshly prepared and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the har gow (shrimp dumplings), and the siu mai (pork dumplings).
The service at Orient London was also good. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they were happy to answer any questions I had about the menu.
Overall, I had a great experience at Orient London. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Chinese meal.
Overall the food was tasty, the dim sum were piping hot and the filling to dough ratio was good. The duck and pork were tasty but not as good as other places we have tried. The chat siu was very good and the beef was extremely tender. Cheng fun was also extremely tasty.
Staff were attentive and could help us with our requests, they were not as friendly and chatty with us as with other tables.
Overall it was a good experience and we would return.
Food is a little pricey but considering the huge portions served, it's worth it. The service is quite slow but it didn't bother us as we weren't in a rush. Overall experience was good and would happily visit again.
We had the Beef Ho Fun, fried rice, Dim Sum Sampler, Salt and Pepper Shrimp and Sizzling Filet Beef all of which were amazing! A little on the salty side but that’s probably why we craved more. They were out of the lobster that night buy we will definitely get it next time. One of my favorite Chinese restaurants of all time.
Delicious Cantonese style Chinese in Chinatown London. They have set menus available to give you the opportunity to sample lots of dishes at a reasonable price. The Peking style duck was very tasty. One of the best hot and sour soups I've tasted, with prawns and it's quite spicy.
Great food
Amazing service, quite unlike others on the vicinity
Good decor
One of a few that I rate at 5 stars.
We went here for lunch and got served quite quickly. Highlights are all the dimsum that we order. The chicken claws are so so.
Fabulous dim sum; typical quick Chinese service with freshly hot dishes delivered. Very much enjoyed my visit.
8/7/23 another visit..lunch.. v busy and delicious fresh dim sum.
It’s so delicious especially Crab dish , must try. I don’t remember the name of crab menu. It’s fantastic!!!!
The food was so good, we went twice...
We had the vegetarian mapo tofu, black bean clams, aubergine and pork, and morning glory with chili. The portions were large. All of the dishes were good, but not great.
The food was very delicious , prices were affordable, it was clean and nice place . 10 out of 10. 213 and 462 on the photos.
Excellent dum sum. Quick to be seated, though does fill up rapidly from 12.00 onwards. Staff are very friendly and attentive, dim sum menu is standard with some nice specials. Restaurant is really clean and tidy with great decor. Note that my photos are as we are eating hence some missing dumplings! As soon as the plates started arriving at the table we started eating!
