This place is superb. I booked for a celebration lunch in one of the delightful private rooms upstairs. Everything wonderful, attention and care in managing the booking and pre orders, absolutely wonderful food (we complemented the chef on the day) and a fabulous wine list. These guys know a thing or two about wine (Burgundy especially), so the sommelier suggestions were spot on. Particularly happy with the Cotes de Beaune - Ladoix paired with the dingley dell pork rump with Burgundy mustard and Passe Crassane pear. Desserts were a creative triumph too. We will be back!

We had a very enjoyable meal here. The setting was lovely, relaxed and smart at the same time.
We had a starter and a main each and shared a dessert to finish.
The staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful with choosing food and wine.
The set menu had only meat options on it and did not have a vegetarian or a fish option at all. I raised this our waitress who initially told me that was just the way it was. She did then check with her manager and he was happy to substitute the printed options for a veggie starter and a fish main. He served us for the rest of the evening and chose some beautiful wine to go with both our meals for us.
The goat's cheese and celeriac starter was enjoyable. It could have done with a touch more savoury / umami and green herby leaf and a touch less sweetness (far too many soaked yellow raisins thrown on to the plate for decor).
The poached egg starter with lardons was spot on. Perfectly cooked and perfectly flavoured.
The fish dish was skate wing in bouillabaisse. Unfortunately the sauce was a little too fishy and a little off balance (I can't quite think what was missing but definitely needed something).
The chicken was perfect. The chicken itself had a beautiful natural flavour and the garnish and sauce just completed the dish so well.
For dessert we had a dark, milk and white chocolate mousse which came in an unusual stemless martini glass sat on top of a bowl of glass beads and decorated with a fancy chocolate tweel. It was a bit too heavy on the cream side for me and not quite light enough for a mousse. Very rich and dense and could have done with a bit of air running through it. It was a generous portion - more than enough for two to share. In fact, we tried our best but had to leave some of it.
We don't tend to have dessert often when we are out nor do we bother a lot with dessert wine that often. However the suggested pairing with our dessert was a Chinese ice wine. I haven't seen an ice wine on a menu for some time and have never tried a Chinese one so we were both curious. It was very enjoyable and paired perfectly with the chocolate, as ice wine usually is. It was in fact so nice that we took a picture of the bottle and looked it up on uvinum to see if we could buy some for Christmas.
All in all, we had a lovely, relaxed evening. The food wasn't anything to rave about but it was enjoyable enough for a nice meal out. I would say it was good classical French style, made better than average with a good wine list, white cloths and friendly, knowledgeable staff.

What a wonderful restaurant! Everything pitch perfect, food, wine, service, ambience. Came here for a private wine tasting and we were so impressed we booked for dinner. Just delicious and complemented so well with the wine choices. Crab, tuna tartare, beef with skinny fries just delicious, and lemon verbena peach dessert so light but sweet/sharp.And of course the wines are top class. Highly recommend. Wish we had known about this restaurant earlier.

After a long day this was a real delight! Staff were amazing and from my partner, they have been working here for a long time. Friendly, attentive, accommodating and knows everything on the menu. The food was perfectly cooked (Obvs oysters were raw) and prepped; delicious and good size portions. Love mushrooms but don’t have truffle often, it was the perfect amount on the risotto to complement each other. Likely to return again in future.

A wonderful treat - high quality food with a wine list that can impress any wine connoisseur (ask for the long list to lose yourself for a good 20 mins). Attention to detail was fantastic and the team were just great.

True to its provenance (having been founded by two master sommeliers), there's a wide selection of fine wines and delicious food prepared as accompaniments. I was in London for work a few months ago, but forgot to leave a review while I was there. The fact that I remembered to go back and leave a review speaks to how great my experience was at Cabotte. The food was phenomenal and the chef and waiter were incredibly accommodating. My coworker and I happened to stumble across Cabbotte on our first night and we ate and drank for hours. Definitely recommend coming here if you’re in the area.

Having been set up by two master sommeliers I was expecting a restaurant with alright food but decent wine. I was wrong! The food at Cabotte is as outstanding as the wine - and the attentive friendly staff make navigating a huge wine list easy and enjoyable. Highly recommended as a place for that special occasion

One word - amazing! If I could give 6 stars - I most certainly would. This was Michelin quality experience of French cuisine! From starter through main course and into desert - every single bite was delightful, full of taste and perfectly executed! My biggest compliments to the chef. Thank you for such wonderful and inspirational food. My wild black bream served with lobster bisque was out of this world!. My husband immensly enjoyed his pheasant. And both of our deserts were to die for. We had Lemon and Orange cake and a Financier (which is an almond kind of sponge) with pears and goosberries. Apple tart looked great too at the next table. Wine list is extensive beyond measure, mostly French wine. But sommelier was so helpful and lovely - we got recomended exectly what we wanted! Great service thoughout, including our waitress and even our host. And the design and ambience inside are beautiful and relaxing. Highly recommend this place. Just be aware it is expensive - amazing place to celebrate an occasion.

Very central and pleasant modern French place. Food was really tasty if a bit pricey, but that comes with the location. The restaurant had a very modern choice to it and I'll definitely return one in a while to check their new dishes.
