Made the trip to the shop when down in London on holiday with the family (11, 8, 5 yr olds) after seeing Max on channel 4 couple years back. The pilgrimage was well worth it!

Max's Sandwich Shop is outstanding from the time you wait outside to the very end. I particularly enjoyed the service from James on the day I went.
Make sure you get a ticket at the door that will save your place in the queue.

It's got a mini pub vibe. Staff very friendly and service can't be faulted. The sandwiches are huge so make sure you go with a good appetite.
What a taste explosion! This is the kind of sandwich spot you hope for when you think of sandwiches. What fabulous sandwiches!!! Absolutely outstanding. We had a side of wings to start, which were perfect. So crunchy, with a fantastic dressing and slices of pickled onion (beautiful pink ones, not the brown ones you get from the chippy!)

Sandwiches filled right to the brim - you will have to accept that it'll get a little messy. Small menu but well varied so should cater for any taste/diet - it is a small place so we were lucky to get a table. Definitely lived up to the hype.

Holy Mother of God! I had Dre's Silky Bechamel Lasagne Sandwich. Undoubtedly the best Sandwich I have ever had. I am so coming back to this place 😆 great service by the way too, but, my god, I'm lost for words. It's unadulterated carbon heaven. Just f***ing visit!

Such a great place. Max is a proper character and a great guy. Food was brilliant - we got the chicken wings which were very good value and so so tasty. Fantastically decadent sandwiches! Unique flavour combinations in these adventurous sandwiches! The shop has a great vibe with relaxed atmosphere and groovy tunes. Service is always with a laugh and a smile! Definitely recommend.
