Mommi had a big reputation to live up to but our brunch was awesome. Very cool, modern yet cosy interior. Food was not your typical brunch food but definitely options to please most. Staff weren't particular attentive but by the same token food and drinks came quick and were amazingly artistically presented. Would definitely recommend for those looking for something different with a broad palate.
Mummy-daughter lunch dates are the best; give me a great lunch with my mum with a glass or two of wine any day and I'll be the happiest gal there is. After a few days of exploring central London last week, we decided to try somewhere closer to home and so booked a table at Nikkei restaurant, Mommi.

The girls and I headed out for our monthly bloggers brunch club. After seeing newly opened restaurant Mommi in the Timeout Mag, I thought it was a perfect excuse to head out to clapham for a change. With a beautifully sunny day, we made the most of sitting outside – Tip – which makes for better lighting for photos.Mommi is very chic. Their menu follows suit where Japan meets Latin America. We came for brunch however but their main menu of sharing plates also look delish.
Went there last night with a group of 13. We had a wonderful time. The set menus work like a charm, great choice of foods and some nice little treats. The staff were accommodating, friendly and attentive.
We were a happy bunch doing shots and cocktails and the waiters ensured we never had to wait to order another drink. It was our friends bday and the staff had also brought out a lovely cake with candles for that occasion.
I don’t normally go out in Clapham and have to say I am happy I did last night. Will be back.
Japanese Peruvian fusion in a nice relaxed atmosphere. The food was gloriously fresh; vibrant flavours beautifully presented. Chic decor, friendly and attentive staff. Some of the cocktails were really excellent - delicious, creative and beautifully served. Perhaps a little comically hip and trendy (very Clapham if you get what I mean), but altogether a great experience, would recommend a visit!
If booking a table after 17:30 40% saving on food bill.
Really relaxing atmosphere, great decor.
The food is a brilliant idea mixing Japanese with Latin.
The small plates as starters are just the correct size especially if sharing a few starters.
The bigger plates main meals are a perfect portion.
The food has some great flavors and I really recommend the king prawns.
I will definitely return here.
Service is 5 star, great knowledge of the menu.
Service charge is added with no warning to the bill 12.5%.

Went for a meal with two school friends, one whom I hadn’t seen for numerous years. I really enjoyed the clear + open space created by the landscape design. This was further accentuated and complimented by the decor, seating arrangement and colours used.
1) Food - Great tasting food, recommended by both myself and my friends. It was visually appealing and was served in a timely manner. Only feedback would be that we weren’t given plates with out starter which led to messy eating of chicken wings but this was quickly rectified. The desert as shown below was the very best I have ever had. No really. The very best. And I 🤤desert so bravo 👏🏾
2) Staff - Very courteous and patient. Well mannered and skilled. We were served by a trainee and an experienced staff member. It was enjoyable and refreshing to see the trainee being given appropriate opportunities and support to develop her skills.
I’ll come back here for sure in the near future with more friends as this place was really interesting and worth a repeat experience. :)
I gave it 4 stars because I had not used and therefore could not review its lavatory. Nonetheless, I approve immensely 👍🏾
Very nice restaurant, everything in the food menu is gluten free so you won't have problems if you suffer with gluten intolerance, staff was very nice and friendly, the only negative thing is that is a bit expensive but the food was delicious so it is totally worth it! We will definitely come back!
A reasonable priced place to get some drinks. Take advantage of their late happy hour when planning a night out.
I've been to Mommi 5 times and each time I dined there it exceeded my expectations. Food was amazing (especially lamb cutlet) and staffs were always friendly and attentive. Food quality and sevice is constantly good. I tried set menu too and yhe taste and quality was just as good as those on the standard menu. Highly recommended!
Our Spanish waiter was friendly an awesome! The food was overall ok although a little bit greasy for an avocado toast and the sweet potatoe was cold and soggy. Still yummy though and really good amount of avocado and overall.
Absolutely delicious Japanese Peruvian fusion cuisine. Excellent cocktails, attentive staff. Live singer created a buzzing, fun atmosphere before handing the reigns over to a dj who kept the energy going.
Fab Saturday night out with definitely re visit next time I'm in Clapham.
Exquisite culinary fusion food! Bottomless brunch was successful. Waitress asked for a tip even though a 12.5% service charge had been applied to the bill; nice try missy but I wasn't that drunk!
Absolutely delicious! Had a great meal with superb service. The infused flavours are amazing. We had the Pan-Fried King Prawns and Soft Shell Tacos. Highly recommend! Kudos to the chefs, cooks, servers and waitresses/waters.
Love this place and looking forward to seeing you guys soon.

This review is more for allergy sufferers.. these guys have got you. The staff here went beyond my expectations looking after me. I emailed in advance to check as I have an onion allergy among other things (dining out is the worst) and I was reassured with loads of choices that they could cater for me. And even better, when I arrived for my booking Sofia had tailored one of their menus for me so I could effortlessly order. I mean, it made me so happy. Next up, the food was actually still so delicious and beautifully presented. The problem with so many other restaurants is that in the end all they can serve you is plain, boring food. Here I had the tuna tartar which was perfect and a decent size, and the picanha steak with cassava, cooked so well with so much flavour. I will be back and bringing more people for sure. Thank you to everyone at Mommi! (also, cocktails were divine!)
