Big portions, amazing flavors and great service. The Vietnamese Coffee is also a great way to finish each meal. Among meals, the noodles are amazing but curries are also delicious.

Definitely a worthy comfort Asian food. Came here for the first time and had to wait for about 30 minutes but it was worth it. Felt refreshed, yet warm and also healthy at the same time. So tasty.

If fancy freshness, hotness and flavour of genuine Vietnamese cuisine, this is the place to go. All pho are refreshingly delicious with fresh herbs. Service is very friendly.

So yum, the food is the pull factor here for sure. Huge portions full of flavour and not shy on the ingredients which makes it a super filling hearty meal. Casual dining atmosphere. Easy to adapt for a healthy meal. Recommend for yummy authentic feel-good Vietnamese food.

I quite like Thai food, it's a good choice for a change. On a visit to Soho could not resist the Pho restaurant, good concept, small environment, dark but cozy. The food was great, and very friendly staff. I hope to return..

Nem nuong (the pork buns) and pho with some saigon beer and with the ambience there, you might just forget you are in London. Reservation recommended.

This place was a great surprise, we tried 3 different phos. I had the one with meatballs and was a great choice. The broth was so good and tasty. And it came with mint, parsley and bambu to serve as desired. I will say that maybe the meatballs lacked a bit salt. Other than that a great metal and a good place to visit

Very busy restaurant with small tables and incredibly quick service.
The noodle soups are great, the fried squid is something I always order and the flower tea is a must . All the food is nicely presented.
Good value for the size of the portions they have and despite being a chain is consistent in the quality of the food and service no wonder sometimes you have to wait to be seated.

If you are a fan of Vietnamese food Pho is the place for you.Located in the centre of Soho ,Pho is a small well decorated restaurant. The place is quite warm and cozy. Usually you have to wait for a table. I have been to Pho twice and both the times I had to wait for 30-40 mins. While waiting at the bar I had the Phojito which was quite tasty. My friend had the Hanoi Mule which she really enjoyed.
After about 30 mins we were given a table . My recommended Crispy spring roll and papaya salad for starters and for the mains I would suggest  the hot and spicy beef noodle soup and the prawn vermicelli noodles. For the vegetarians I would suggest the Pho chay that is the tofu and mushroom noodle soup.  Also try the Ca-ri.
Overall it is good food and I would return again when craving some Vietnamese.

For my second experience of Vietnamese food I went along to Pho on Wardour Street with my little sister Jess. I immediately liked it more than the other Vietnamese restaurant I visited, more cosy and intimate, less noise and lots of character. As we walked through to the waiting area at the bar, my sister leaned over and said ‘It’s like being in the Wicker Man’. It was meant to be a good thing, my sister has her own unique way of wording things. I think she just means there is lots of wicker… Pho is owned by an English husband and wife team Stephen and Juliette Wall, they opened the first Pho in June 2005, incredibly just a year after they got back from their inspiring trip to Vietnam, they now have six restaurants, including one in Brighton.

It was a busy Friday night so we had to wait for a table (no reservations), we ordered a couple of Sôn Tinh rice liquors at the bar – Chanh Leo (passion fruit) for me and Man Do (plum) for Jess £4.25 50cl, and mulled over the menu. They also do the full menu as takeaway options, and on the back of the menu is some background information on the history of Pho, and crucially how to pronounce it! We thought it was ‘po‘ but it’s actually ‘fuh’ although most people outside of Vietnam pronounce it ‘foe‘. Confusing!

The liquors were so strong (27%), I found it difficult to taste the passion fruit in mine, the plum however was a stronger flavour, any more than two and I think I’d have to be carried out of there. Pho import their wines direct from Highway 4, Hanoi, Vietnam, a bar that Stephen and Juliette fell in love with on their travels, the liquor is distilled from the finest un-husked sticky rice in the rice cradle of the Red River delta. What makes them special is that Pho have become the first place in the UK to serve these rice wines and fruit liquors.

Before we knew it, we were led to our table, which pleasingly was by the window, but also half covering the fire exit and I had a fire alarm in my face throughout the meal. My sister who was facing the window excitedly spotted a man walking past dressed as a polar bear, she doesn’t come to London much so thinks these things are an everyday occurrence. I don’t like to shatter her illusions.

Jess ordered the Rau Muong Xao Lai – stir-fried Morning Glory with garlic (purely for the name I suspect from her giggles) £5.75. I’d never tried Morning Glory before, it’s similar to spinach with longer stalks, really tasty soaked in garlic and what tasted like soy. I ordered the squishy Goi Cuon Ga - Summer rolls with chicken breast and fresh herbs £4.25. There was a choice of either Nuoc Charm or Peanut sauce, I went for the former – more traditional and spicy. We shared both dishes, I loved hers a bit more than mine, it was a bit too filling as a starter for me, would be great for lunch though, and I do love the texture of the rice paper, might try to make these one day.

Next was a bowl of warming, aromatic Pho Tai Chin – steak and brisket £7.95, with herbs on the side to mix my own flavours. The steak was slightly tough but the brisket was a lot more tender, I appreciated the delicate beefy flavours of the soup more than the last bowl of Pho I had, although still found myself adding a touch of chilli sauce. I didn’t find that adding any of the herbs made any difference to the flavour though, it just made it look pretty. This is the kind of food you need when you’re ill, it is proper comfort food that you feel is doing you good, and I suspect it is. The bowl was ginormous, this picture doesn’t do it justice, such a bargain.

Jess ordered a cold dish from the Bun section (Vermicelli rice noodles with stir fried toppings, fresh herbs, veggie spring roll and peanuts) Her dish was wrong, she ordered the Bun Cha Gio Nem Nuong pork and lemongrass meatballs but instead got Bun Cha Gio Bo Xao Sa - lemongrass and beef £8.45 instead. I didn’t realise until about ten minutes into eating, we didn’t mention it to the waitress as were in a bit of a hurry, table booked at the beautiful Bob Bob Ricard for drinks, luckily Jess didn’t seem too disappointed, and said she was really impressed with it, I knew there was no way she would finish the massive bowl though, big enough for two! We would have asked for a doggie bag had we not been going out after.

We unfortunately didn’t have time for dessert, the options were minimal though, Pandan Pancake with roasted coconut, served with ice cream would’ve been right up Ade’s street. As were leaving, I noticed a big bowl of food waste by the food lift area, not something that should be in sight! If I went back I’d like to try the Vietnamese curry (Cari) as I’ve never had a Vietnamese curry before, in fact there are still a lot of dishes I’ve not tried… Overall we both really enjoyed Pho, despite the wrong order, fire exit table and the bowl of waste. The service was friendly and helpful and with such reasonable prices, especially for somewhere in Soho. Please come to Kent Pho!

This Vietnamese joint is a perfect place to go to is youre a fan of this kinda food! Located in the midst of Soho, Pho is a well decorated, lavish restaurant. However, my initial experience was somewhat disappointing as we had to wait for over 30 minutes before getting a table. The queue was extremely long, especially because it was lunch time. However, once we had been given a table, everything flowed smoothly.

The food here is phenomenal, never having tried Vietnamese food before this, I must say i've become a fan of it! Their crispy spring rolls and tender fried baby squid with salt and peppers had me craving for more!  For mains we ordered the chicken noodle soup, prawn vermicelli and chicken and prawn wok fried noodles! All of which was absolutely delicious, will definitely be returning here for another round of Vietnamese cuisine!

I would say that Pho isn't as authentic as places like Viet Soho or Cay Tre but it's pretty consistent. I like the way they package up the takeaway Pho with a pot of soup and tupperware with the fresh meat, noodles and herbs.
I've tried quite a few of the dishes and they're all pretty good. The fresh lemongrass tea is nice and the Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk is a nice way to end your meal.
I find the service a bit inconsistent, if I'm honest. Sometimes they're really friendly and other times the waiters can be a bit brusque. Overall, it's pretty reasonably priced and decent tasting food.

Date of Visit - 05.12.13 Lunchtime

Along one of the many streets in Soho you will find Pho, one of a chain of Vietnamese restaurants serving up simple, good value authentic dishes including the national dish "Pho" which is a noodle based soup. I have been a few times, but today i had my food review cap on.

Upon entering we heading to the rear of the restaurant, we came as the lunch rush was calming down and sat on the high chairs next to the bar. We sat under the exposed low curved brick ceiling, I have to say i really liked the waiters here as well as the overall atmosphere, i always like waiters that talk to you like a friend and not so much as a stranger, also helps that they have a smile on their face.

Me and a friend just wanted something to eat that was good values, simple, tasty and warming. I opted for a Chicken Dish as the Chicken is Halal here. What's more reassuring is that some chicken dishes are not halal, because they are cooked with a non-halal chicken stock, it's always comforting when the staff know the importance and characteristics of Halal food .

For under £8, in central London, i have to say i was very impressed. The meal was tasty and filling, If i recall i ordered a Ca-ri which is a Vietnamese curry packed with veggies and mushrooms, topped with nuts and served with rice. It was well-rounded not too deep flavour and wasn't overly complex - a simple dish. With the cold weather outside this warming dish really left me in a good mood. I cleaned the plate and didn't leave anything left! Nom!

Would definitely recommend!

First time I and my wife were eating Vietnamese food. We visited this restaurant for dinner. We didn't make a prior reservation but we were lucky to be allotted a table on arrival. We ordered a vegetarian soup & some noodles with prawns. Delicious & mouth watering.

They have a good selection of Vietnamese beer.

Recommended.

Authentic tasting Vietnamese food! It is a little pricey but it's well worth it for the fresh tasty flavours that suckerpunch you with every mouthful. It is a very popular place, but so worth it. The manageress was very attentive and helpful and we had a wonderful wonderful time. We will be back to try out everything else on the menu!

It's curious that Pho's weakest product is the pho itself. Perhaps it's just my preference for the heartier ramen of Japan, but this Vietnamese noodle dish seems to pay too much homage to the joys of water and not enough to the substance that lies within.

Of the few branches of Pho that I've visited, Wardour Street's labyrinthine restaurant is the most atmospheric. Good service comes from down to earth staff unafraid to suggest a bib with confidence. It was a wise decision: even the non-pho dishes are dangerously messy. But they are the best - filled with flavour and beautifully prepared. Pho is great, as long as you aren't in it for the star player.

Definitely worth going to if you love Vietnamese! Especially loved that you could add so much to your Pho, however, be careful not to get too excited and ruin a delicious meal by adding too much.

Excellent food and service, we ordered some appetizers, and it was very delicious. after the appetizers, we can not help but finish everything as it was that good. So unfortunately no pictures of the main course, but the Vietnamese noodles were excellent. The service was quick and all staff are very helpful, would like to mention Gabriel, and thank him for his excellent service. The ambience was on point as it blends with the surroundings and changes with the time of the day. So by night time, the place is still a good place to have a drink while enjoying your food. Thank you again Pho Restaurant at Wardour Street, very recommendable place to dine and drink. Will be back again.

One of London's hidden gems, I'd say. We were pretty lucky to get a table and the wait wasn't all too long. The portions are are pretty good size and the drinks were good too. The tables are a bit too close to each other but that's not a train smash. The food is great and that's what's important. Can't wait to try more from the menu when I'm back in London.

Amazing pho restaurant experience in London, it is a chain, but real quality and detail to the flavor. Definitely try the summer rolls and pork balls, the best I've had. Service was fast and freindly with a fair price to value.

Visited here during my lunch hour from work. I absolutely love the food here, it ticks so many boxes. Healthy, low calories, a good source of carbs/protein and the restaurant is able to deal with allergies. However the service here can be incredibly slow and it just means you end up being back to work late. The people who work there are so lovely, it just feels like they need an extra pair of hands and it really isn’t their fault. Looking forward to my next visit!

Great food, and the staff are brilliant with allergies. Carey managed to fit us in really quickly on a busy evening and was so helpful with anything we needed. Loads of gluten and dairy free options as well as vegan and vegetarian ones. Food really tasty too, and so much choice, which is a rarity when you have multiple allergies!

The food was great as usual, it’s not our first time here at all, but today the music was so inappropriate – loud club mixes which don’t let relax and enjoy food and only trigger anxiety. Shame that we brought our favorite people to show this place and music drove them mad. Thought the liked the food. Please change!!!! NO club music should play on Sunday afternoon when having Asian food. Hope you can understand

Went for the free pho day and got a free bowl of crab pho! Rich, flavourful broth and amazing noodles. Usual price is around £13-16 for a bowl which is a bit pricey for a broke student like me lol but for a comforting bowl of flavoursome soup I'd say its pretty worth it :-)
