Every neighbourhood has its local pub. In Mile End/Bow, the Morgan Arms is the one. Sure, there's a few others (which honestly I haven't tried yet) but this one has it all. Reasonable drink prices, nice cosy interior design, English pub meals and games to play (eg. Cards Against Humanity) just in case you get bored of conversation.
Great warm pub near Mile End and Bow Road tube – visited the pub
twice, once for food on a Saturday and once for drinks on a Sunday. Can highly recommend
the fish and chips and my friend had the vegetarian burger, which she said was
super. Is a gastro pub feel and is worth visiting.
Perfect venue for a great Sunday roast. I love the atmosphere in this place, lovely wooden floor and large windows. Their beer selection is good, not too much choice but the right beers. Book in advance to get a table on week ends though.
A great pub located in-between Mile End and Bow tube stations that has a sophisticated air about it. If you coming here looking for football on the TV then your in the wrong place as they only show sports such as rugby here.
I actually had the lucky opportunity to try out some of the chefs new proposals for the menu which included his own take on chicken hot wings (which were full of flavour) along with the spicy dip that accompanied it. I don't think that these have ended up on the menu but it did tell me one thing, that the head chef can cook some nice food that is priced very reasonably. I noticed me and my friends weren't the only ones that had ordered food and looked like they were enjoying it (which is a credit to the chef).
What I particularly like about The Morgan Arms is the variety of beers that they have on offer. Of course they have your regular more common beers but they also stock more local beers such as Camden Hells. Their beer which is infused with Elderflower gave my taste buds a surprising bolt of flavour that I would recommend to anyone that visits.
If you are a local or looking for a new pub to visit then The Morgan Arms will offer you a great atmosphere, great drink and great food; all at a great price.

I like this place, I do. However I only ever seem to end up here when the in-laws are visiting. It's got some good beers, the food smells good though I haven't had anything beyond bar snacks, and it feels like the kind of place you could laze about on a Sunday afternoon. Prices are a little on the high side - last night we spent more than a tenner on one pint of beer and a glass of house wine (large) but I guess that's to be expected on the posh side of Mile End Road.
Good local gastro pub.
The Morgan Arms has had its peaks a troughs in the few year's I've been coming here. Thankfully, they are on an upward streak as the last few times I was there the food was impeccable and the staff were very courteous and friendly.
The Morgan has a trendy but still warm and cozy vibe and is a wonderful place to grab a drink or dinner with friends. The menu varies occasionally but has been consistently good (not your normal) pub fare and is reasonably priced for what it is.
They also carry a great selection of beers and house wines are really decent. This place should be your local pub if you live in the area.
Excellent pub. Happens to be within walking distance of our daughter’s flat. We went on a weekday evening when it’s quiet. Excellent drinks, food, and atmosphere. The food was great and the staff friendly. We will definitely go back again. If you haven’t been, go. If you have been, go back!
Great Edwardian pub with high ceiling and huge windows. Great range of beers and packed on a Tuesday for quiz night.
Definitely book there. Food is fantastic. Large pub portions and everyone was eating.
Staff attentive and friendly. Sam is my fave Staff member.
Friendly staff! Lovely food. Weather was perfect to sit in the beer garden 🌞. I absolutely loved the decor of the place, and they even had little details of toiletries in the women's toilets. All around fab 👌🏼
Lovely old style pub in a very well-heeled part of East London, 7 minutes walk from Mile End station. There are a few other local pubs, but this is the best. Nice clean uncluttered yet characterful interiors. Nice staff and clientele. Wine choices solid. Sunday lunch fare - joints etc - solid not inspired. Good value for money overall.
Maria was very friendly; service was good.
My choice of dish wasn't available, but at least our server checked before taking our order. The pub was pretty empty hence the lack of atmosphere, but despite the fact we said we needed to leave at a particulartime, and we were some of the only people there. It took ages for someone to take our order. But the food was fabulous and its a lovely place.
Good, filling food. Menu that changes seasonly. As an American I won’t make any comparisons to other pubs. Thought the prices were reasonable. Had a nice patio out back.
Amazing Sunday roast and best ever vegan Wellington! 😋 great service from Charlie R and team .
Compliments to the chefs Ramon and Viktor!
Bonus was they are so dog friendly 🤩
We had a lovely Sunday roast!
Maria, our hostess, was so lovely, attentive, full of positive energy, and incredibly friendly!!! She was so inviting and always making sure we were tended to. She made our Sunday wonderful🥰
Definitely recommend and would love to go again!
Came for a Sunday lunch this afternoon. Really couldn't fault the food and service here. We had a beef roast and a chicken roast with a side of cauliflower cheese. I had the option of how I would like the beef, which was nice to have. The cauliflower cheese was to die for, definitely big enough to share between two people. The gravy was delicious, however we did need to ask for more, but this is probably down to personal preferences. By far one of the best Sunday Roasts we've had in a while. Staff were lovely as well. We'll definitely be returning.
Great food, great pints, excellent service. Khaitee and her team look after you like a champion. Try the steak!
So good, we went twice in 24 hours!
We are new locals to the area and had such a fantastic meal with such amazing service (for both humans and our dog frank) that we decided to come back today for the Sunday roast - and of course weren't disappointed!
Charlie served us both days incredibly - was so attentive and has such a great personality, a real asset to the Morgan Arms team.
Will of course be coming back again - our new local.
Proper pub with nice atmosphere and good quality food / beer. Steak sandwich was really good.
It seemed like we have arrived in the middle of pick lunchtime but staff although was short but delivered. Speedy and attentive service. We've had just a snack but food quality was great and served fast. Pub is tidy and clean. Nice atmosphere of the favourite local. Thank you
Good spot for catching up with mates. Good atmosphere and lighting. Staff friendly. Not good veggie options for food (especially if not a fan of truffles… not entirely sure why everywhere in London has now decided that all veggie food must taste like feet)… ended up with fries and a fried lettuce… which again… what’s the deal with this… who decided that a soggy charred half of a romaine lettuce was food. I think… if you wouldn’t serve it to a mate visiting you at home.. then it shouldn’t make it onto a menu… and I can’t cook to save my life… but still… ANYWAY… £5.50 pints of Amstel… which is apparently good now. So can’t complain (ramble aside)
Always a great boozer. They make great cocktails as well including a bloody Mary/Maria zone to help yourself with anything more you want in
The Morgan Arms is a lovely pub. We went for the dog show in September and had such a fun time. Charlie was an amazing host and created a very memorable afternoon. We will definitely be back.
This is a pub/restaurant situated in a quiet neighbourhood in East London. We were very pleased with the friendly and professional staff. The kitchen (chef) also deserves to be mentioned because the food is honest and tasty. Last but not least : the price/quality ratio is OK, which means : good quality for a fair price.
Great selection of drinks, beers and ciders. Good food. Dog friendly. Very cozy atmosphere.
