At Bread Street Kitchen (@breadstkitchen), one of Gordon Ramsay’s (@gordongram) restaurants located in the center of London, you will find a cozy place, a gentle service and comfort food. We went today, for the brunch, but as soon as we looked for the menu we did not resist to went on a la cart mode. We selected the bread basket and earl gray tea for starter. Then, we went for the wagyu meatballs and the spice tuna tartare, both very tasty. We were amazed by the wide variety of eggs offered and we decided to try the Florentine eggs (poached eggs with spinach and Hollandaise sauce) really well presented and flavorful. For the main course, we went for the slow roasted Cumbrian Saddleback pork belly with spicy apple pure and truffle brie mash. Again, flawless. For the desert, the monkey shoulder Cranachan cheesecake with raspberry sorbet. Although the service was not so quick as we expected, the food was very well prepared and we had the chance to enjoy the live Gospel music show.

The food was fantastic. I had a ribeye steak , it was very flavourful and good. I also ordered the beef wellington, the presentation was fantastic and it tasted great. Their selection of drinks is very good. The staff are polite and cooperative.

Found this place serendipitously, not realising it was owned by Gordon Ramsay. And I have to say it lived up to any expectations I may have had.
The signature pork belly was outstanding. The mash was incredible. As was the coleslaw and tomato salad. Service and ambience were both delightful, it was a really memorable experience.
Shame I couldn't take pics as I was with a client..

Bread Street Kitchen is a nice little spot in St Pauls. Owned by Gordon Ramsay and straight opposite Jamie Oliver's Barbecoa. With these two right beside each other you feel spoilt for choice. We opted for Gordon's as we know one of the Managers and Waitresses from working other places. Without them being there, there place would be friendly. It is a grand space with high ceilings, ornate design, very airy and a massive bar offering. It is over a first floor and ground floor. Nice little areas inside to set up in. The downstairs, with a one chair corner for some alone time as you come up the stairs. The restaurant area, bar top and bar area. The bartenders have good cocktail knowledge and like to deliver beyond what is on the menu, in fact they love the idea of creating something bespoke for you. We didn't have food on this occasion, but this is definitely a good spot for some mid week drinks as it doesn't get to mad busy.

Very well located and the ambience and decor are both on top! Food is what you would expect from a celebrity chef like Ramsay, but is surely not over the top...
I recommend the Pork belly, which was very well cooked. If you're not feeling like eating too much, than the Caesar salad is the choice! It will certainly blow your expectations!

Gordon Ramsay's brainchild, this restaurant is full swing all nights of the week. Scallops were to die for, large, juicy and just well done. I had the tamarind wings, a delightful sweet and sour offering with a good crunch.

For mains, we had the grilled cod and the pork belly. Pork belly was amazing with just the right crackle on the top and soft falling off the bone meat at the bottom. Cod was not outstanding.

One New Change is worth visiting for its fabulous roof terrace view of St. Paul’s Cathedral and the London skyline. It’s free admission to enjoy this viewing platform and there’s a variety of drinking and/or dining experiences to choose from including Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen inside the mall. A fine dining experience, Bread Street Kitchen serves high quality food that excites and won't break the bank...

This is a restaurant by the ultimate chef Gordon Ramsey and so the food is bound to be really delicious. The ambience of the place is really nice and staff is friendly. The food is really delicious.

Recommendation - try their English veal or cod. And the cheesecake for desert.

One amazing restaurant from the Super Chef Gordon Ramsay. In a recent trip to London, I wanted to visit one of Ramsay's restaurants and I chose carefully, That means, I wanted to visit one with a more attractive menu, without a specific type of food, but also without being the top of the cream since it would probably be out of my budget.

As a starter, we chose a Spicy Tuna Tartare, which was simply amazing. One of the best tartares I've ever tried, and I've tried many, which says it all, and the portion is big enough for two people to share.

To combine with the main dishes, we ordered the Macaroni Cheese with garlic roasted crumbs. Another good choice. I can even say that in a bigger portion, it could be a good pasta dish.

Regarding main dishes, we had a good and a not so good choice: Starting with the good one, Pork Belly with Apple Sauce, it was on the point. Crunchy and tasty. The other one, we didn't realize it was a Hamburguer when we ordered. It was good, but not what we thought we were asking.

The dessert we ordered was Chocolate Fondant with Ice Cream. Even without being a creative dessert, it's flavour could be any better.
A very good restaurant, indeed.

I've been looking forward to eating here for awhile now and it certainly was worth the wait. The ambience is fantastic...quite an industrial set up but glammed up! The man who greeted me was pleasant and found my table quite quickly, however the waitress that served our table for the rest of the night looked run off her feet. Once seated my friend had already ordered her drink and the waiter asked what I would like upon ordering he said he'd back in a couple with my drink about 15 minutes later aforementioned waitress shows up and asks what I would like to drink. Upon mentioning that I had already ordered a drink and was waiting for one she couldn't find the drink ordered. Once this was cleared up the service ran quite smoothly just with a really stressed out waitress. We started with the tuna tartare and scallops both were delicious. Followed by the duck and surf n turf which were huge portions. The lobster tail with the surf n turf was quite sizeable. Dessert was the elder flower trifle (stand out for the night) and the cannoli. The cannoli with the ricotta was an interesting combination but quite heavy. All up for two drinks, 2 x entrées, 2 x mains & 2 x desserts £140.

A Gordon Ramsey delight!!

Comfortable seating, impeccable decor, pleasant staff and delicious food.. All hallmarks of a great visionary as a chef.

Starts off with great bread on the house. A bread so soft - it almost melts in your mouth. Then the snow balls sushi was one of the best. Followed by grilled cod served with mashed potatoes. All very delicious.

They allow to serve your own wine with some corkage. Overall a great evening for a office get together.

Gordon Ramsey’s restaurant and bar, Bread Street Kitchen is much bigger than it looks from the outside. After climbing up the winding stairs, you’ll find yourself in a large, airy room with an open kitchen, lighted wine balcony and plenty of seating. The atmosphere was relaxed yet still buzzing on a Friday night.

The BSK short rib beef burger comes with Monterey Jack cheese and smoked tomato ketchup. Hand cut chips are ordered separately. My medium rare request was declined. Anything above medium was explained. Medium it is then. I understand there is a greater risk, but surely if I have requested it to be cooked that way I should be able to get it.

Well that's twice now I've eaten so much food at Bread St Kitchen that I was close to vomiting through sheer gluttony. I didn't love Bread St Kitchen the first time round, but for Christmas, Duncan's parents got him a £150 gift voucher to use at any of his restaurants. This was a particularly thoughtful gift as it meant I got a share of it. For Christmas, my parents got me a Christmas card that said words to the effect 'Merry Christmas, we can't wait till you come back to Australia'. Great. Thanks parents. So in summary, I got nothing, Duncan had something. Once we left the house, it had started to snow. It took forever to walk to Old Street. This was purely my fault; not the snows. I love snow. I pretty much had to be dragged to the station because I kept stopping to marvel at the snow. Once we arrived, we were lead to a table right near the entrance, directly in front of the kitchen. Not a great table, and to be honest, we probably could have requested to be moved, but I'm still pre

Since I started the vendetta to find a decent burger in London I wanted to try Gordon Ramsay'€™s version. The place I was thinking was Maze Grill, but for one reason or another and despite it is on my original list I haven’t visited the place. But a week ago I went to his new venture Bread Street Kitchen . A large warehouse space with industrial decor for a relax dining experience. Went with a colleague, sat downstairs by the bar, quite quickly we were on to business. Tamarind chicken wings, crispy pig's head, and the Bread Street short rib burger. The wings were quite nice, good sweet and Asian flavours, the tamarind with spring onions and coriander gave a nice balance. The crispy pig’s head, nice battered, with a touch of breadcrumbs, the green chilli mayo was nice, I even used it to dip my chips. The Bread Street short rib burger comes with Monterrey Jack cheese, and a tomato ketchup.

All-in-all, Bread Street Kitchen is a pretty impressive package. The food's good - not amazing, but nor is it trying to be, the prices while high - three courses, drinks and service will easily reach £50-ish - won't bother the target customer (younger, not-quite-so-stratospherically-salaried City suits) and the design really is great fun.

I think people have every right to be suspicious of the motives of a man who, already very wealthy from a string of restaurants around the world (not to mention television shows, book deals and product endorsements), decides to open yet another vast, multi-million-pound site. When is enough, enough? Will Gordon Ramsay ever sit down and think "you know what, I think I'm OK for money now. Once we get through this last batch of Gordon Ramsay Milk Frothers (RRP £40) I'm packing it all in and retiring to the Seychelles." Maybe I'm being cynical in assuming it's even that much about the money anyway. Perhaps Bread Street Kitchen isn't intended to be a cash cow, just the kind of classy, New York meatpacking district restaurant, with its "raw bar" and classic cocktail list, that he himself enjoys eating in and wants to put his name to. You have to say this for Gordon Ramsay - he's never tried to start a Jamie's Italian-style chain of Ramsay Lites, and all his places, successful (Royal Hospita

As you can imagine, being a Gordon Ramsay restaurant this place gets plenty of hype. In short, it did not disappoint. As soon as you walk in the décor and two story entrance play nice on the eye. We were sat around this banquette style table and the service was very friendly and efficient. In terms of the food, I ordered the burger which was packed full of flavour and not too greasy either. Just one of those meals where you feel good afterwards because you know you're eating good quality food. There can, however be lots of kids about as it's the type of place to hand out crayons and chef hats, so if you're looking for a quiet, romantic spot, maybe look elsewhere. Would definitely recommend though

Location:
Born just 22 days before my visit (ok so it took over a year to open) Bread Street Kitchen is the latest Gordon Ramsey outpost, situated in One New Change.

Spread out over two floors (the lower floor is small and has a cafe feel, and other one school canteen cum french bistro style cavern), every element of design at BSK has been nailed in painstaking detail. The array of pink-tinted victorian glass lampshade chandaliers. Angle poise lamps perched menacingly around the edges, hybrid bric-a-brac pieces welded together to make other lamps (we were next to a lathed engine part that had been welded to some plumbing, sprouting lightbulbs out of their taps - I kid you not).

I'd tweeted Executive Chef Simon Gregory (@chefgregory01) earlier in the week to say we'd be coming in, and once we arrived he came over to talk a little bit about the concept and the food. He'd been working 22 days straight to bed everything down, and with 170 booked in for a Tuesday lunchtime, he was comfortable BSK was on the right track. The team cooking are a mix of people from a number of GR's other restaurants, as well as The Ivy and Hawksmoor, so I was pretty excited about the food we'd be getting.

Simon sent us several starters out to whet our palettes, which were pretty special. A nutty, creamy Atlantic crab cocktail with celariac, and a subtle stone bass finished with a sprinkles of ground seaweed and zested wasabi. Both were absolutely delicious. The was, however, only one thing on my dining companion 'the dame' and my minds - the Bread Street Kitchen Short Rib Burger - so how did it fare?

Price:
Short rib burger - £11.50.
Hand-cut chips - £3.50.
Cabbage and red onion coleslaw - £3.50.

Presentation:
Impressive. This burger poses imperiously on the plate. It dominates the space around it. It's big, it's heavy, it cheekily shows a bit of what might lie underneath. If it were a lady, it would be less geisha, and more glamour.

A perfectly polished metal beaker of dark golden hand-cut chips and ramekin side of creamy coleslaw arrive separately.

Toppings:
Perfectly harmonious. Every element in this burger has its exact place. The slightly spicy tomato ketchup is a reduction of tomato, star anise and peppers, pureed and applied liberally on top of the cheese, and it sets off the rich, fatty flavours of the rest of the burger magnificently. The cheese was changed to Ogleshield (from the usual Bermondsey Frier) and the thick, salty, slightly melted wedge added dimension (along with the sliced pickles) to a burger that gave up little resistance to a determined jaw. Underneath the burger lay a chopped iceburg 'slaw, mixed with garlic and mustard mayonnaise.

Meat:
Bloody great. The patty is made up of of a combination of short rib, chuck and beef fat in a 50%, 30%, 20% ratio. This translates into a pretty juicy burger. The meat is coarsely minced, and then hand-formed into the 8oz-ish patties that go between the buns. With the high short rib content, the taste is creamy and almost veal-like, with huge amounts of satisfying juice and fat, yet in spite of the light beef flavours, they are complemented by the acidity in the cheese, spicy ketchup and mustard mayonnaise iceburg 'slaw.

As this burger oozes and gushes juice down my chin and hands, I'm thinking, this burger is almost TOO wet and juicy...but it's a fleeting thought.

Bun:
Excellent. This is the Miller's brioche bun, and I have come to the conclusion that it is close to indestructible. Given the massive amounts of juice oozing from the patty soaking the plate, my fingers, and my chin, you would be forgiven for thinking this bun would collapse under the weight of the tidal wave of liquid gushing forth. Tested at depths of 300m under the sea (true story*) this bun has been built to withstand the most serious of tests.

As an aside, it turns out Gordon Ramsey restaurants have been using this same Miller's brioche bun since 2003 when they first put their veal and fois gras burger on the menu at another well known outpost.
*not a true story

Accessories:
Very good. Ordered separately off the sides menu are hand-cut chips, and these are some of the tastiest chips I've had in a while. Cooked almost like roast potatoes, the outsides of the chips are deep golden and have a firm, slightly chewy crunch to them. Once your through the skin, the centre is soft and fluffy. The portion looks slightly mean, but between two of us, we only just finished them (and I've eaten three burgers in one sitting before...). The coleslaw is creamy and crunchy.

Overall rating: 9.5/10
This burger execution has all the hallmarks of a great understanding about how the various element of a burger work together in perfect harmony. Creamy, fatty meat patties offset by spicy tomato ketchup. Ogleshield cheese adding structure to the soft, loose ground beef, Mustard and garlic mayonnaise moreishly blending with the juice from the patties. At £11.50, this is a great burger at a great price.

Get your arse to Bread Street Kitchen, as this burger goes straight into my 'Top 5 Best Burgers in London' list.

After the burgers were well and truly dispatched, this was the point any normal person would have stopped, but not 'the dame' and I. Simon wanted us to try a couple of the signature desserts that were screaming out at us from the pudding menu so, in the words of Yoda, "ate some more, we did." And it was awesome.

On one corner of the modern, sleek One New change shopping and dining complex, Bread Street Kitchen is one of an ever growing list of restaurants under the Gordon Ramsey banner. On a weekday this area is bustling with City boys and girls and breakfast is served from 7-11am according to the website. On the weekend it is all a little bit quieter; in fact when we arrived at about twenty five past eleven on Saturday morning, for our 11.30 booking, we couldn’t get in because it doesn’t open until bang on that time it would seem. So we were first into the huge dining area upstairs. Luckily it soon filled up, although it was probably only 60% full the whole time we were there.

The website describes the style of the restaurant as “A stunning mix of vintage and modern”. I’m not sure about that, but the floor to ceiling windows, and warehouse feel make for a great vibe when the place is lively (and not so good when it is quiet). The tens of desk lamps scattered around can either be interrupted as quirky and fun or unnecessarily kitsch.

We were served by a rather wackily dressed waiter, ordered some coffee and it arrived with some freshly baked mini baguettes, which were delicious; it is a bread kitchen after all. But be warned this is a restaurant that does a fry-up not a café; there is a £2 cover charge for that mini flute! The coffee was excellent and the service overall was good. Our water was constantly being topped up, but there was too much of the “how is the food” and “can I get you anything else” malarkey.

So onto the food – the weekend brunch menu is only served until 1pm, so it is only a short window if you're ever after a fry-up here on a Saturday or Sunday. Other brunchy type things like eggs benedict and buttermilk pancakes were available, but let’s not dwell on those. The fry was priced at £11.95 and for that you get two eggs cooked the way you want (I choose poached), bacon, a sausage, mushroom and grilled tomato, served with white and brown toast. The eggs were absolutely perfect, they say the fresher the eggs the better they poach so I can only assume these were straight from the farm that morning. The sausage had great flavour and the bacon was sweetcured and soft. However, it wasn’t all perfect – The flat mushroom was heavily and unnecessarily peppered, which overpowered the plate a little. The toast was fine, but I had expected more after the fresh bread we had beforehand. And overall it was a bit on the small side when you consider you have shelled out 12 quid for it.

I am a big Gordon Ramsay fan! The attitude, the shows... and after trying, the food!
We went to Bread Street Kitchen on our lat trip to London, and it was great!
The vibe is great, with both business people and tourists, and the decoration is interesting.
About the food: we tried the buck breast, witch was great and really well cooked; another dish was the vegetables cooked in a kind of a lasagna style, full of flavour. Finally we tried the apple crumble, delicious!
All of this were apparently very simple dishes, but full with flavour, witch made them delicious.
This was a very good experience, and the final proof that this chef is one of the best in the world.
Highly recommended!

I went here at Christmas with some work colleagues and had such a wonderful evening. Lovely modern and elegant decor. A great wine list with a British White wine on the menu which is always great to see.
Had the scallops to start and wasn't disappointed, they were fantastic.
Sea bream was amazing. Haven't had fish that good in a long time and a really great portion size. I ordered vegetables for the table but we didn't really need them.
Will definitely be coming back here and would recommend highly for a work do or a date!

I've been here a few times with mixed results. The cocktails here are fantastic, as is the venue, but unfortunately the food doesn't always quite match up.

I've had steak here a few times and on one occasion it was over-cooked, a cardinal sin for this sort of price, and the pork belly starter was a bit rubbery. Also some of their flavour combinations do not work at least for my taste buds.

However the crowning glory, if you can get it as availability seems to be scarce, is the dessert tasting menu. If you're a dessert fan then I would recommend visiting purely to give it a try as each dish whilst small is perfectly formed - the sticky toffee pudding, salted caramel brownie and passionfruit cheesecake in particular happily spring to mind.

If you want to try Beef Wellington in London, this is a must go place! The origin Bread Street! The Beef Wellington, the puff pastry is crispy, inside the beef is just set, juicy and tender with a little taste of the mushroom. Also the salad is good too! Just a bit noisy the day I go, but as a whole recommended!

Looking for breakfast around St Paul’s and we stumbled across Bread Street Kitchen, we had no idea that it was a Gordon Ramsey joint! The decor was amazing and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was spectacular, the English Muffins were fresh, light and crispy. The Eggs Royale were by far the best I’ve ever had. The menu was strange, I found it weird that you HAD to have two course on the brunch menu. And the only choice of second courses was dessert, which felt strange at 10:30AM. Although once the Tropical Fruit Sundae arrived all my issues with this menu disappeared. It was sensational. It was obviously expensive, but by the time we sat down and realised it was a Gordon Ramsey restaurant there was no turning back. A great experience nonetheless.

This was our first time in London and it was our last night there. I’ve always been a fan of Gordon Ramsay and watched his shows (Hell’s Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares). I’ve always wanted to try Beef Wellington, so I found this place that had a casual dress code since we were going after a football game. The service was amazing, they were very friendly and tentative to our needs. The food and drinks were great. Everything down to the French fries had great flavor and done to perfection.

A superb evening at Bread Street Kitchen from start to finish. As someone who lives in London and eats out often, I rarely go out of my way to leave a review. However, the food, ambiance and staff at Bread Street Kitchen and Bar were beyond excellent. As soon as my friend and I entered the restaurant, a friendly, smiley gentleman named Rafael, (who said he was the Guest Relations Manager) welcomed us, effortlessly making conversation - a thoughtful touch was that he offered us the choice of two tables, either by the window or more a central seating area. We chose to sit by the window where Rafael attentively asked if he could get us any drinks. Once drinks were ordered, a lovely waitress whose name I have unfortunately forgotten, greeted us and asked if there were any dietary requirements - she helped me navigate through the menu as I mentioned that I was vegetarian. From what started as a standard 1 course meal with a friend, ended in a 3 course feast. The fresh menu selection, coupled with the wonderful waitresses great recommendations, led to my friend and I having a table full of food, which did not disappoint. And lastly, Rafael, who initially welcomed us, personally delivered our desserts. A superb evening. A restaurant that has a family feel, yet with top class food and a great atmosphere. I will definitely be eating here again.

The beef wellington was probably one of the best things I've ever eaten. Beautiful savoury flavour and the steak was cooked perfectly. The staff were attentive and very efficient. Stunning decor and a very chilled atmosphere. Only gripe is our table was very wobbly and meant leaning on it would cause your drink to spill. Still I would recommend trying the Welly!

Visited on a Sunday and had the roast pork dinner. It was really beautiful, no complaints. My mum had the sea bream , which could have done with some potatoes with but she enjoyed it. My daughter had Mac n cheese which she also enjoyed. Chocolate fondant for dessert which was just perfect. The negatives were that when making the booking, the restaurant was informed it was my daughters birthday but when she received her brownie (which was just a whack of cold brownie) there was no effort made to make her day special. Also felt our waiter was looking down his nose at us, with my daughter commenting that she seen him look me up and down when I stood to use the bathroom. Overall, food was good. Effort from the floor staff let it down.
