choose this place for breakfast. the place was lovely and the staff was amazing, ended up spending hours started work with more coffee as it went by. so its certainly the best place for peaceful work and meet up with friends. The French croissant was fresh and fluffy. The hard bread with creams was absolutely a delight of having french breakfast. coffee compliments as wholesome breakfast.

I came here for lunch with a friend - she absolutely loved it and waxed lyrical about this wonderful and authentic little independent cafe, but it didn't do it for me at all. I found the seats uncomfortable, the music invasive, my salad didn't taste good, there wasn't a great choice of soft drinks - and overall I disliked the ambiance, perhaps trying a little a little too hard to be cool and assert it's independence. Up to the reader to decide whether they'll trust me or my friend on this one 😊

I purchased a long black (£1.7) and this gorgeous thyme scone with cream cheese and spring onion (£4.8 eat in) for a late breakfast today. The scone was a huge in both size and taste. I highly recommend trying for a savoury breakfast or lunch.
In regard to the atmosphere, this cafe is definitely a funky little cafe whilst still maintaining a relaxed vibe. The service was very quick and the staff were friendly.
I will be returning in the near future.

Wonderful place!. My partner and I were in London for Chelsea flower show and were so delighted to find Fork! We stayed in Cartright Gardens and popped in for breakfast. The staff were super friendly, gentle, fast and efficient. The food was fresh, very reasonably priced and coffee best we have had in London. I had the granola with yogurt and rhubarb which was just fab and original. If your'e anywhere nearby go to Fork, it will make your day.

I honestly don't really know how to sum up how much I love fork: I come every day. They have a perfect selection of sandwiches, beautiful salads, soup, savory tart, gorgeous desserts and great coffee and tea. I have never been anything less than totally satisfied. Also, everyone is really friendly and the space is really cute.

If you are even remotely local, you should come for lunch!

Fantastic. A fantastic new little cafe this area of Bloomsbury desperately needed. Beautiful interior, amazingly fresh salads and you must try their almond croissants!

A welcome addition to my neighbourhood!

When it came to ordering, we faced a challenge, as there were plenty of sweet treats on display. There were croissants, Portuguese Pasteis de Nata, a Carrot Cake that looked extremely inviting – and, as if this wasn’t tempting enough, Orange and Almond Cake samples. We took one. It tasted great.

The tarts here are by far my favorite items! The lemon and raspberry tart is especially my favorite, because it's stuffed with fresh, bursting raspberries which is a perfect complement to the mellow lemon curd. Paired with a latte, it is a perfect combo! I highly suggest going here for a late brunch or perhaps when you are just in the mood for a tasty treat.

There’s no better way of celebrating good fortune than sharing it with the people I love. This time, I decided to treat my partner to a cup of tea and a slice of cake, to which he obviously didn’t say no. Our destination was a deli-patisserie that goes by the name of Fork, right off Tavistock Place.

Of course, I had done my research. I devoted a few lunch breaks to looking for a nice café that serves delicious desserts, and Great Little Place’s tip-off suggested that Fork could be what I was looking for. I headed there with a feeling of uncertainty, not knowing what I would find; more afraid, perhaps, of disappointing my partner, whom I had dragged there from West London, than of finding that reality wasn’t meeting my own expectations. What I found, instead, is that I had no reason to worry. Fork was exactly what I was looking for, and ticked all the boxes, from “nice café” to “delicious desserts”.

The space is cosy enough to give you a warm, homely feeling, and big enough to not get too crowded, even though only one table was free when we arrived. I could easily picture myself spending a whole afternoon there. Laptop on one side, a cup of coffee on the other, relaxed and focused and inspired to get some writing done. I’d love to try that, actually, as I haven’t found my “writing spot” here in London quite yet.

The choice became much easier when we saw the four big scones on the far right of the counter. It’s written in the books (or, at least, it will be as soon as I write one): you simply can’t resist a scone at teatime. Not when it comes with two different kinds of jam, and a teapot of Earl Grey.

The price was also very reasonable. Had we gone to one of Bloomsbury’s more well-known cafés, the same amount I spent at Fork would probably have been the price per person, and the portions would have been half as big. The only downside is that they didn’t accept card payments at the time of my visit (January 2013), so make sure you have some cash on you, or you’ll have to queue at the Brunswick’s cash point before enjoying your treats.

My Cash Point Mission didn’t take long, and tea and scones were already on our table when I returned. They came with Strawberry and Rasperry jam – two of my favourites. Both were excellent, and I struggled to decide which one I liked the most. In the end, Raspberry won the pageant. A pageant that involved several spoonfuls of strawberry jam, to make sure my judgement was as accurate as could be.

I hope I’ll have a chance to visit Fork again, perhaps at a different time of the day. I’d like to try their coffee, as they use Monmouth Coffee beans, and I love Monmouth Coffee with all my heart (but then who doesn’t?). I’m also curious about having lunch at Fork, as the savoury food I saw on display looked very tempting. In particular, I set my eyes on a Spinach and Feta Quiche I won’t forget so easily…and who knows, maybe next time I’ll feel bold enough to sign the Fork Wall of Fame!

This place has only recently opened, so far is never that much of a queue to get my coffee! It has great ambiance, serves Monmouth coffee(major bonus points!), and sells a variety of goods including tea pigs, pasta, jams. So well worth a visit if you are nearby Brunswick Centre (or the British Library). Their pastries are absolutely brilliant, pure indulgence.
There is 10% off for students, and has WiFi, so great to pass by a few hours of work somewhere other than the office.

Gracious and welcoming staff. Quality coffee. Great spacing of tables indoors and outdoors. Plenty of lunch options. Impressively fresh and hot sandwiches. Delicious. Reasonably priced. Great neighborhood hangout with locals who are friendly, helpful and kind. Absolutely scrumptious, most, notably fresh fruit cake that goes beautifully with a fresh, hot chai latte and the preparers’ genuine smile and good cheer.

Fantastic little cafe near Russell Square. The cappuccino was one of the best I had during my stay in London and the almond croissant was huge and so tasty. A great place to start your mornings in London. It does get busy though, so best to get there early to guarantee a seat.
