Brilliant place just off Covent Garden. Super friendly staff, tasty plentiful food and great drinks at budget prices. The happy hour cocktails 5-7 were a bonus as was the generous kids meal.
Really love this place, awesome burritos and one of my favourite places when I was studying in London! Great for a casual meal and an absolute must visit place if you are a burrito lover!
Loved the restaurant. A friendly staff, quick serve, lovely interiors and awesome music. Ordered chicken tacos and also a vegetarian one (which was vegan without cheese). Took chips with salsa as well, and loved the salsa. Extra guacamole is a must.
The staff were the friendliest I'd ever experienced at these sort of Mexican eateries. I went for the vegetarian buritto which had large chunks of vegetables and plenty of sour cream, rice and cheese. I liked the touch of a handful of tortilla chips on the side. I even ate their desserts and I highly recommend the sponge cake.
The cocktails were okay and this is a definate addage to the usual mexican canteen thing.
Nothing special but nice little place in Covent garden for a casual catch up.
Love this place!. The burritos and the tortilla chips (and I don't even like tortilla chips) are delicious. Definitely the best I've had in London.
Cheap and cheerful! Love the burritos and the side of nachos! They never disappoint!! would like to try the cocktails thats interesting!
At last a burrito I can respect. The jaw locking pork burrito at Benito's Hat is a behemoth example of what a burrito should be. It is literally bursting with pile upon pile of tender, fragrant shreds of carnitas pork - braised slowly and simmered with li
One of the perks as a food blogger is that on occasion, you get a letter drop into your virtual inbox asking you to try a new restaurant or sample a few drinks. Many of these can be dull and no more than a simple PR exercise, but the odd one flies in and
Benito's Hat has a colourful and vibrant interior with an orange and green theme! These fresh and striking colours are reflected in the food! There's a funky mural on the back wall towards the bar area of the restaurant. All these elements set the theme of a relaxed eatery! The restaurant is made up of a long communal high wooden table with many high chairs. There are also seats against the wall with scattered cushions and some window seats, if you fancy watching the world go by! At the counter, there is the vast array of rainbow coloured fillings to choose from! These include rice, beans, chicken, pork, salad items, sauces and garnishes! The food is all fresh and locally produced where possible. A vegetable burrito makes for a filling and satisfying meal! The fillings that I chose for my vegetable burrito were refried beans, cilantro lime rice, grilled vegetables, guacamole and salad. The vegetables were a good mix of peppers, courgettes and chayote. There are a choice of sauces depen
Last Thursday Benito's Hat opened on New Row in Covent Garden. I'd been very excited about the imminent arrival for some time due to its close proximity to my office. Having visited the Goodge St post a while back, I'm pleased to see both the on going suc
Tried this place and was very impressed. Quick and good service with a great atmosphere and good music that had me rocking along with my lunch. I had a naked barbacoa beef burrito kosher style with no cheese (fyi restaurant is not certified kosher) with nacho on the side as it comes with it. Very filling but not to the point of bursting so you still sit comfortably. I would definitely come here and eat again. Love my home town more when I find little gems like this on the back streets.
Quirky Mexican restaurant in Covent Garden. Expect the usual Mexican fare from burritos to quesadillas to tacos. The barbacoa tacos comes highly recommended. Not the biggest of venues. Best to come with a family and kids.
Good Mexican place with fresh food, quick turnaround and plenty of options. It’s tucked away from the main tourist crowd, so it’s mostly office people at lunch time. Plenty of seats available.
Chill vibe, great, quick food. Tacos were so stuffed you can’t even see they’re tacos. Good choice of ingredients (and cilantro easy to pick out from the pico de gallo for those that don’t like it!) and quick service. The server seemed a bit sad tho, cheer up primo, you made me some amazing food! :)
I had pulled pork burrito set menu and it was super delicious. Big portion and fair price.
Well priced food with a good range of sauces and toppings. Can get tacos with chips and meat for under £6. So filling! There are different choices of meat, vegetarian options and They have gluten free things as well. Small menu but there’s a lot of things you can chose to add or not have. Freshly made tortilla chips, great sauces- both spicy and mild so it caters for everyone. Nice location in Covent Garden but not too busy in the evenings so cool atmosphere. It is quite small inside but that is ok because the food is served very quickly so you can just eat and go.
Ordered two burritos and they were good. They come with very few nachos, which were very thin and crispy (just how we like them). Restaurant and bathroom was fine.
It feels like a family run build-your-own burrito concept similar to Chipotle. Prices are the same as Chipotle (£10-£13 per burrito).
Cantina fast food burrito and taco heaven! Having never been to Mexico I can't tell you if it's authentic or not. What I can tell you is it's damn tasty, huge filling portions and fantastic value for money. Will most definitely be coming back!
A great place to stop in for a quick and tasty burrito. The prices are very good considering the location. The food is prepared in front of you and it tasted fresh and hot. I had the El Presidente which is a good sized meal for the money. Worth a stop.
Great choice, good prices, lovely friendly staff and tasty food.
Tasty burritos. Reasonably priced. And the staff are friendly. I got free nachos for my purchase. I'm definitely going back. See you guys another lunch time. \m/
