Everything was great, except the price of water (10 pounds) and size of tea and portion on side salad.
Beef wellington was perfectly made, but needed something fresh as side and salad was not enough.
Staff were always ready to help, food was tasty and good quality. I recommend trying Spiced pinacolada. It was just perfect, not too sweet.
We visited London House for dinner on a Saturday while lockdown rules only allowed for outdoor dining. The food was excellent and we were warm next to the heaters. I suspect the tables in the garden at the back are quieter than the tables next to the road where we sat, but we still enjoyed the experience and were so happy just to be able to go out. I hope to visit again when indoor dining is allowed.
This was the finest dining experience of my life! Arrived to London for a night and when exploring the surroundings I discovered Gordon's restaurant was only 5 minutes away so without any hesitation we booked a table and everything was simply the best, from a starter to main meal and desert. The service was very nice and made our stay very pleasant. Would definitely recommend this place.
My boyfriend took me there for our anniversary meal and he has reserved the chef's table. We were sat literally in the kitchen and could see the Head Chef Ben and his amazing staff preparing every single dish from the 6-course menu with lots attention. Everyone was great from the moment we entered the restaurant to the moment we left. We had wine tasting with every dish. The wine selection was great as well as the menu. I have never seen such a clean kitchen in use in my life. Everything was spotless, almost clinical. The food was delicious, the staff attentive, the atmosphere perfect. What else could one want?
We had an excellent weekday night dinner with one of the restaurant's seasonal menus (£23 for 3 courses and a cocktail). The atmosphere is that of an upscale modern gastropub with separate areas for dining. Chicken liver parfait with chutney and brioche was delicious, closely followed by the smoked salmon salad with beetroot and fennel. The fish, 'risotto' and chicken kiev mains were all also very good. Then desserts marked another highlight with burnt cream in a wide shallow French-style dish and a very good version of sticky toffee pudding. The fact that children eat free is another bonus - they also have very tasty and healthy food served to them (we ended up finishing her dishes too). We found that service was exceptional with the staff accommodating all requests and entertaining our 3-year-old child. I would like to single out Alan, the manager on the night we visited, who was the best host I have encountered at any restaurant in London (including the flagship Gordon Ramsay restaurant).
Our party of four spent a wonderful evening here tonight; with fantastically cooked and presented dishes. The serving crew are attentive and professional. The recommendation of pork belly with coleslaw without using mayo; just shredded apple; cabbage and onion, was great. The triple fried chips and seasonal greens were great complement to the dish. The sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream and lemon grass cheese cake were both delicious without being overly sweet. Highly recommended!
Perfect venue for anyone looking to get married in London. Great food and staff. Perfect for a medium size wedding. I photographed there recently and would highly recommend it. And the intimate garden at the back is just perfect for photos!
I have to thank vimal and roberta for the service at this restaurant. My first day in the UK was celebrated by going to this restaurant. I feel like the price was perfect for what I paid for. The scotch cocktail was unlike anything I've ever had and was evenly mixed as far as flavors in my opinion. The chicken still baffles me to how I feel but I only have positive words to say. This meal was fantastic!
I could sum it up in one.......... AWESOME,
But I'd still like to say what a fabulous experience. From entering the restaurant to leaving it was a totally brilliant experience
We had a roast dinner Sunday lunch, and what a good portion it was. The chicken, roast potatoes, carrots, broccoli, kale, braised red cabbage and not to mention the huge Yorkshire pudding all tasted the best we had ever had.
The service was excellent, professional, helpful with good conversation, true professionals. If you've never been, you're missing out. Thank you London house for a truly great eating experience.😊.
Ps, the congratulations lemon posset and short bread was a joy to eat. Very refreshing. 😀. Thank you once again.
We held our wedding reception here. Stephanie (Wedding Business Development and Events manager) from the Gordon Ramsey Restaurants group was incredible, as were the staff at London House (a special shout out to restaurant manager Max too). They all went above and beyond to ensure we had the best day possible and we’ll undoubtedly be back to dine there more in future.
Cozy place with great food. I had probably the best fish & chips ever. The service is great. We had a small remark and the staff immediately corrected it and even gave us a desert from the house
Food was good as to be expected. For where the restaurant is located I thought prices were reasonable as well. Pictures are of the Hiramasa Kingfish Crudo for starter and the Harissa Roasted Cauliflower for mains.
Food was excellent, service was brilliant and Donna our waitress was entertaining and even during this time all around out of this woulrd. We will be back. Throughly enjoyed are time.
Excellent friendly service, nothing to fault at all after several visits. Food regularly high quality and well presented, very tasty meat selection. Secret garden is compact but friendly. Well worth a visit if in the area
