We had always love places that retain their own culture, and I think most people will agree with us how this establishment have kept that well.
We can see the traffic is pretty busy in the morning, so we decided to pay it a visit during tea time. We loved that timing as it was less crowded and we could appreciate the details of the shop. There were plenty of posters that was retained well over the years.
I know the footprint in the cafe is extremely high, perhaps a bit more cleaning would be good. Otherwise, a 5 star experience, we truly enjoyed our scones.

I think they have the best scone so far! 一吃就馬上愛上了!They offering a reasonable price (super) with high quality tea set. We ordered their famous Devon Cream Tea Set come with scones and Muffin Man Tea Set, total cost less than £15. Although the staff recommended their chocolate fudge cake slice, but it was a-bit too dry for me, a little disappointed on this. But their scones are MUST MUST TRY!

Very classic shop with very good english breakfast! The scones are extremely delicious! This is definitely by far the best scones I have ever eaten! Definitely a place to come by if you are visiting London! Don’t miss it!

This place is such a delight! We ordered the eggs Benedict muffins and pancakes and they were all great tasting. The service was great, our attendant was extremely courteous and helpful. Great breakfast place!

Was given a 15% off discount for being a student even though I was a non-UK resident! The scones were some of the best I’ve ever had and I would highly recommend the cucumber tea sandwich which was my personal favorite of the course! The cakes weren’t anything too special, but still good. Although it was super busy, the wait wasn’t long at all. I came as a party of two and our table was in the middle of two tables that were touching ours with other customers but even then the tables didn’t feel uncomfortably close ( it added to the atmosphere). It was a great call to stop here before our day at the nearby museums!

The best English scones and breakfast that we had. We reached there around 930am and there is already Queue. But they managed the Queue very well and we got inside after around 30-40mins wait. Loves the scone so much.

This seems to be one of the best priced full English breakfasts in Kensington.
Very friendly staff, delicious food and tea. It's very small, so you may be sat right next to strangers - but people should probably be talking to strangers more in my opinion 😜
I will return to try the huge selection of English tea sandwiches.

Awesome scones and beef lasagna as my first meal in UK.
Must order the Devon cream tea set. Loved the cream and jam combi on freshly baked scones.
Tried their passion carrot cake on repeat visit and am very impressed with the cake as it is not too sweet and cake is moist without being too dense.
A must-try in London!

The food is nice, but that is maybe all to it in my opinion.
There is a line at the front door very early and even before they open.
We went there around 9:30 AM and had to maybe wait approximately 5 minutes for a table. We were greeted by a young lady who I assume was a little grumpy, because it felt like she didn’t wanted to be there. That’s atleast the impression she gave us.
The food was nice. The amount we ordered was well balanced for the price. Everything was warm and tasted fresh. The platter was also nice presented.

We visited this place 12 yrs ago on our honeymoon and now we came back with our two girls. It's still the same. Delicious as always and so quaint. Love it and I'll be back.

Came here with a friend on Sunday, food was really tasty !
- Very busy, understandable since it was lunch time on a Sunday
- Very affordable/cheap, but taste is still really good
- Few outdoor seating
- Pictured: Tuna Paninis, Club Sandwiches, Crumpets and Cakes
- Cakes were tasty but a little crumbly and a bit harder to eat
Recommend coming here if you're in South Kensington, a lot more affordable than all of the other nearby eateries

amazing brunch spot! very affordable & YUMMY!! also have gluten free bread, which is a major plus!

I can easily say that they have the best scone I ever had. It's fresh and tasteful. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the marble cake I had. I have been there by the end of the day, maybe that's the reason. But the cake was a bit dry, not seemed to be fresh. However, I strongly recommend you to go there. It is a very nice place, the service is good and there is a good variety of food.
I will be back soon to try different stuff.

Very lovely and tiny place to do breakfast or brunch. They have various of British breakfast piece options. They also offer afternoon tea in a specific time interval. I tired scones, eggs on a toast, and pancake (crepes, actually). I paid £15.5/person which I think reasonable but not cheap. I would definitely come visit again.

The amount of food that comes from such a small kitchen is amazing. Located off of a main Street so traffic was not an issue when sitting outside. We came upon the shop while walking so it is easily accessible. For as busy as it was, the food came out fairly quickly with a great presentation. There was one server, and she kept up with everyone around us.

Really lovely place - we went for breakfast, and I was surprised at how affordable the prices were. Coffee, toast, eggs and smoked salmon were lovely - good sized portions and a great choice on the menu. The service was efficient and exactly what you would expect from a cafe. Definitely worth a visit to support our smaller businesses in London!

Love this place. Nice atmosphere and good food. They are also fast for days when you’re on a hurry and need to have a lovely breakfast before going to work.

Cutest place ive been to so far, its a nice little tea place on a little road, the inside is very cozy, traditional and pure british. We had the english tea with scones, it was my first time having scones and i loved it! They come with butter and jam. Simple but songood

Racist Staff. I was having tea yesterday and noticed two lovely and polite brown skinned ladies asking for takeaway tea. After walking past them numerous of times the European waitress said 'If you're after a takeaway you'll have to wait.' They were shocked, as were I but said 'yes no problem.' But was followed by a very rude answer by the waitress 'You're going to have to wait over 10 minutes so maybe it's best you leave'<br/>I was HORRIFIED by this response and walked out of there myself. <br/>I live in Kensington and regularly come here. This has happened before and I thought I was overthinking but this has definitely clarified it. Racism. I am NEVER coming back here again.

A great little tea/breakfast shop! Had breakfast there on my first visit and it was delicious. Keep in mind they do not take credit cards or debit cards. Cash only!

Good lunch. Cozy spot for lunch. Both the sandwiches and soups are very good. Favorite soup is the tomato, favorite sandwich is the panini mozzerrella and basil.

My favourite place to get a fry up in the area! I don't know what they do to get their scrambled eggs to taste that good! Costs around £9 But does include tea, oj, jams, sausage, eggs, bacon, toast and most importantly...baked beans! Wish it included grilleD tomatoes too though. Cheap pastas and sandwiches looked good too, though i've never tried them. A real gem just off busy high st ken, which only locals know about really.

The Muffin Man was a great little stop, even though it wasn’t a fast stop

This is the place to be if you're in London and craving some nice high tea. This place no doubt offers the best high tea in the neighborhood, and they also have an extensive menu to choose from. The staff is pretty friendly as well and the place usually smells amazing because of their amazing cakes.

If you are looking for a quick take away then this is just the right place to go. It is quite a welcome change from the stuffy restaurants nearby that offer breakfast at higher prices. The cakes served are so soft and spongy that you want to eat more and more. A sandwich with a big mug of coffee and the delicious cake could call for a perfect breakfast.
Joseph Osborne
If you are staying in the nearby hotel and are looking for some good breakfast options then this is the right place for you to visit. The fresh orange juice that is served is a healthy add on. The servers are efficient and always eager to help. You can try the omelettes or the croissants to go with your coffee.

If you eat breakfast here on one of the busy Sunday mornings then there is a high probability that this place will be bustling with people. Considering that it is a small joint it can get stuffy and suffocated. Nonetheless the food is freshly cooked and the service is prompt. You can eat the breakfast buffet which offers unlimited tea/coffee and sausages and bacon to go with it.
Alex Oliver
After trying out this new place I suggest that you would forget to visit the chain of restaurants that are nearby. This joint serves breakfast and afternoon tea and you can try any one of these. The food offered is good value for money and there is a decent variety too. The breakfast ranges from crepes to pancakes to a variety of omelettes. You can try the various croissants and spongy cakes with an earl grey for an afternoon high tea.
Luca Hawkins
If you are staying in the nearby hotel and want to grab a quick meal post your shopping spree then this can be one wonderful place to visit. It is a cute and warm place and you would want to just enjoy your snack here. The menu is pocket friendly and gives you the basics from the omelet to the scones with a pot of tea with it. Worth a try!

Are you searching for place free of dress codes and all for grabbing a meal? Then Muffin Man has a lot in store to offer. The staff is very friendly and the service provided is very efficient. The decor of this place is quite different from all the places you might have been to. The ambiance is very cheerful and lively. Strongly recommended.

I had a terrible experience at this place. The bread used for my sandwich was stale and not fresh. The frosting on the cake tasted disgusting and was not at all appetizing. The color of the lemon filling was way too yellow in color and looked quite unappealing. My afternoon tea experience was completely ruined. I would definitely not recommend this place.

Come winters and you would want to visit a place where you can just sit and sip hot tea. This is just that sort of a place. You will love to be here and indulge in the most delicious cakes. In the first instance the ambiance might look a little old school of thought sorts but take my word for it that you are going to love the variety of the sandwiches and scones that are being offered. You could also just sit with a pot of tea and enjoy your time to yourself. A definite visit!
David Page
The place offers an extensive variety of teas and sandwiches which are reasonably priced. The place is located near the high street and is the perfect place to go for a tea break. The food and teas are not exceptionally good, but will suffice your tea time cravings. The atmosphere here is also quite good. I would definitely recommend this place.
Ivy Anderson
I had a great experience at this place and visited it on my way to the hotel. The food was exceptionally good here and very well executed. We were also recommended the carrot cake by our server, which was also extremely delectable. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to visit again.
Kieran Bibi
I adore these little cafes. The adorable little cups full of cream, butter and other things are a view to behold and whatever is inside is very delicious with a plethora of flavours. The coffee here is quite delectable. However, there is mostly a shortage problem at this cafe as they run out of things very fast. Definitely recommended either way!
Tauseen Ghose
I visited this place keeping in mind the good reviews it had received, but did not have a good experience here. The food was bland and the quality of the ingredients used was very poor. The service looks quite perfunctory and did not please me enough. The menu is extensive, but not that appealing. I would definitely not recommend this place.
Lily Thornton
This is a nice small restaurant including an outdoor seating area serving good food. I ordered their tea pot, cucumber sandwiches and a cake meal choice. I opted for queens cake consisting of nuts and had chocolate frosting. It felt more of a nut bread than cake. The food was overall good but nothing great and extraordinary.
Hannah Watson
This is a lovely place to go on a lazy Sunday where you just want to enjoy a quiet breakfast or lunch and want to enjoy what you are biting. The scones were just made right: neither too dry nor too moist. I enjoyed every morsel of the cakes and the jelly that I ate. They were a treat for my sweet tooth. I would recommend you to visit soon.
Harrison O'sullivan
I did not enjoy myself at this place. The menu is extensive with a variety of food dishes and teas to choose from. The scones and crumpets are just about average. The tea is also not extraordinary and is very mediocre. The decor here also did not manage to please me enough. Overall, an average experience and I would recommend it for a break between shopping.
Oliver Pearson
This place is quite old and has been on the scene for a long time, but the standards have never changed. This is a place i totally love and love to frequent, in fact i have become a regular here for their incredible English breakfast.<br/>I highly recommend trying their out of this world, scrambled eggs. The place also has a lovely staff. Lovely.
Scarlett Brennan
The place is a tiny hidden gem mostly known to locals in the area. The place has incredibly tasty dishes and price so low. Under nine pounds ordered eggs, bacon, toast, BAKED BEANS! and tea. Word of mouth is their pasta and sandwiches are really delicious as well. Scrambled eggs are so perfect! Do try!

I was looking for somewhere for a light lunch near High Street Kensington when we stumbled upon the Muffin Man. This is a little independent cafe, quite traditionally English with tables packed in. The place was heaving when I went, the menu covers light lunches, cooked breakfasts, a variety of sandwiches & a large selection of homemade cakes. We all had different sandwiches, all were lovely on really good granary bread & well under a fiver. This place won't wow but if your looking for a cheap light lunch with brisk service this is your place.

I have an apartment in south kensington and was walking on the high street near the station and somehow stumbled upon this little eatery and found that actually it was quite good, the scones were warm and moist the clotted cream and jam were fresh and the salad was yummy. i would recommend this outlet to all of you people out there.
