Fire food. Best set menu at a fair price. Hard to get food in London this good at a fair price. Love the location too, a lot more spacious than the other Ping Pongs. The St Katharine's dock location is my favourite location, though

This so very famous and classy place is a worth visit. Amazing vibes the place has. The food is par excellence, just that it’s pretty expensive. The best dumplings I have had every. We tried pork, prawns, beef, crab, chicken etc practically everything on offer and each one was better than the other. The duck boa which one has to assemble ourselves was fabulous.
A must visit although heavy on the pocket !!

Lovely cocktails and great dim sum. Really good for a large group, although can take a while. Easy to order more dishes if you find something you like or need more after the first round. Is often very busy, so may be advisable to book if large group.

Great Chinese restaurant which serve the best chinese finger food and starters in town. Portions are small. So order at least 6 or more items when dining with 2 persons.Dont forget to try their speciality chinese teas. Dumplings are amazing and they have a lot of variety to choose from.

The number eight is an auspicious number in Chinese culture, it reflects fortune and wealth. And triple 8 is even better. It also happens to be the price of Ping Pong’s current lunch special. Only £8.88 for your fusion-Asian dumpling fix. There’s two basic options, one meat, one vege. I opted for the latter which gives you four dumplings and two sticky rice parcels. That’s definitely not enough for one appetite, let alone mine, so I supplemented the BBQ pork buns (£4.10). Ping Pong (the restaurant, not the sport) is quite prolific here in London, with nine stores and all the gravity of such a footprint hence deals – and marketing!
On Sundays they offer a make-it-or-break it bottomless brunch dim sum option for £25. That has been tempting. The food is all steamed right in front of you. It’s fast and the dumplings and buns were great. The pastry is sticky but manageable and the fillings are flavourful and interesting. Even the rice parcels had some vege paste inside which made them enjoyable (I had anticipated plain-ish rice). And I was very content with the pork buns too. The fillings are proper and meaty and didn’t taste dodge as they can (and do) in some places. So I’d be bouncing back to Ping Pong in no time.

Spacious place with relaxed vibe. Got the Triple 8 weekday lunch offer. At £8.88 they gave 6 pieces of dim sum (dumplings): 2 sticky rice and 1 each for different smaller ones. Freshly steamed served in a bamboo pot. Fillings included chicken, peanut and seafood. Overall taste was nice. Service was good too.

Good set menu for lunch, dumplings aren't that bad, quite central and the space is really good. It has natural light and spacious tables for groups.
The main issue was service. Waiters were not very nice and we had a constant feeling that we were bothering them.

Ping-Pong is one of my go-to places when I crave dim sum, even in Dubai, as they have an outlet in the mighty "Dubai Mall" ( one of those places where I am a regular). The Ping-Pong outlet of Soho is a great option for vegetarians also, as they have a vast menu comprising of plenty vegetarian options. In addition to that, the place is set up beautifully and they also have a high-chair, bar-type seating design. The staff is really friendly and polite and the service is quick too.

I placed an order for a spicy vegetable dumpling, a spinach and mushroom dumpling, crispy golden dumpling, Thai tofu soup, veg spring rolls, a vegetable bun and edamame beans. The Thai soup was every bit delicious with wontons and coconut in its base and little pieces of fried onions that were caramelized made the soup taste a lot better.  the veg spring rolls were delicious too, the filling was yummy and the best part was the oil content was less, forcing me to devour and relish them. The edamame beans were yummy too and with a generous sprinkling of spices, they made for a good appetizer.

Coming to the main part, the dumplings were steamy hot, the spinach and mushroom dumpling average. However, the crispy golden dumplings had a turmeric touch to it and it tasted delicious, I ate an entire dim sum in one go ( they were that good) and the spicy vegetable dumpling too was nice, mediumly spiced :)!

My favorite item of them all was the "VEGETABLE BUN", it was every bit delectable. It had a spongy cake-like texture, vegetable filling and it was piping hot and soft when it arrived on the table. I couldn't help but order a second serving.

It was indeed a visit, I relished thoroughly.

Hubby and I had dinner at Ping Pong last nite. The place was crowded, we needed to wait for like 10 mnts to get our seats (by the bar). It was not comfortable to eat by the bar, but we were starving and it seemed like the food is so good, so we just sat there and ordered :

1) shiew may (8/10) : tastes good!

2) xiao long bao (7/10): this is okay but the dumpling skin is a bit too thick

3) chicken and mushrooms claypot rice (8/10) : tastes yummy, love the sauce that they use on the rice, but portion is a bit small

4) lime iced tea (8/10) : so nice! It's refreshing and the glass is quite big 😀

We spent almost £ 20 for everything. I thing it's quite cheap, considering the high end area Ping Pong is located and the good food they serve. I'd love to come back to this restaurant if I got a chance 😊😊

A sightly different Chinese place in the city. We went around 7 pm on a Friday, when no table was available but thankfully Ping Pong did not disappoint us. Although, the stools are quite slippery on seating but the view from level one to basement is quite nice.
The bar looks good with a wide range of cocktails.
Being a Chinese place, they specialize in various types of herbal and green tea's.
The staff is friendly. They gave good recommendations to help us select the best dishes.
Ideally, they recommend 4-5 dishes per person and each dish comprises of 3-4 pieces.
We ordered 2-3 types of momo's /dimsums (one of their specialty). Duck and ginger one's were good.

- Duck spring rolls - very flavorful, a must try small bite
- Next to try would be crispy prawn, a very light snack with an interesting texture.
- Har gau - a dish recommended by the staff, is a must try. Served on two plates, one comprising of very soft buns which are opened quite tenderly. These are to be filled with avocados and prawns served in the other plate. Close the bun like a sandwich and literally relish them!!
- Prawn with sticky rice - a form of dumpling, quite bland in taste, cooked in a banana leaf
- Chilli chicken with sticky rice looked good but not that great. I would rate them average. However, it is a good option if you are looking to eat something filling in less quantity
- Dessert - we were quite full after trying so many dishes but there is always room for dessert :)
We went safe here and tried chocolate fondant which was a chocolate mousse/cake served with vanilla ice cream. The ice cream was quite herbilicious, quite strong in flavor if eaten alone without the chocolate

They include 12.5℅ service tax so we did not tip.
Total bill with 6 dishes, 2 alcoholic drinks and 1 dessert was £79.

I was a bit sceptical at an all you can eat dim sum buffet as I have only experienced these in Asia as I knew the comparison wouldn’t be just. As it was my first experience at Ping Pong I ordered way too many dishes and left too full but I’m glad I got to sample most things on the menu! I didn’t like the taste of all their dumplings; in fact I only really liked one. I found their rice bowl dry and prawn balls a bit bland. However the star on the menu for me were the pork or mushroom (for the veggies) puffs. These were fantastic! I would also highly recommend pork buns and potato cakes. For the price this all you can eat is worth it and it’s in a fantastic location. Great date or place to take someone who has never tried dim sum before!

Their choice of dim sums is vast. I would highly recommend the steamed chicken cashew nut, steamed scallop and shiitake and fried duck spring rolls. I also love the variety of sauces they give you – besides the standard soya sauce, there are 3 different chilli sauces and if you have a loyalty card (I have a habit of getting loyalty cards wherever I go), they also bring you 3 additional, more sweetish ones (as well as free prawn crackers and fried seaweed!).

The atmosphere at Ping Pong branches are always welcoming, from the decor and music, to the staff's relaxed approach. The subtle lighting and the minimalist black wooden furnishings also aid in creating a modern oriental atmosphere in the restaurant. This informal feel is also present at the Ping Pong branch in Soho, so we headed there to try their recently launched new menu. Think of it as a pick and mix of your favourite steamed, baked, fried and griddles goodies that you can share amongst friends!

I can never ever stop liking this place and neither can I ever get tired of eating the dim sums that Ping Pong serves. Slightly over priced but with the quality of food that they serve, it is worth it. Go for their Ping Pong selection set menu for 1 if you are confused about what to order. The set menu covers some of the most amazing dumplings under its hat. If you aren't hungry, you can settle for their prawns and chive dumplings, seafood dumpling, scallop and shiitake mushroom dumpling. I can probably list down all the dumplings that Ping Pong has to offer because I absolutely love this place and it never fails to disappoint me.

Ping Pong is a contemporary restaurant that serves authentic Dim Sum throughout the day with cocktails and Chinese teas. I love my Dim Sum Sundays because Dim Sum is usually served from 11am - 5pm so I never make it during the weekdays. Thankfully, I get to enjoy Dim Sum at all times. The meaning of Dim Sum is basically a small Chinese dish that's steamed or fried which contains various savoury fillings. Usually, you would find 3 bite sized portions in each bamboo basket. It's a great place to catch up with friends and as they say, all the fun is in the sharing (lets just hope my friend is into sharing!) I have noticed that Ping Pong serves seasonal specials alongside their menu and I was really keen to try something new.
I am a massive gin lover and what better way to start my evening than a glass of Nashi Pussycat cocktail - jinzu gin infused with yellow gold oolong tea - nashi pear, chartreuse yellow liqueur and fresh lemon juice whilst my friend was too intrigued to not get the Hong Kong Colada - a classic tropical cocktail with a twist. Bacardi carta negra rum, abruzzo liqueur, coconut, splash of orange, fresh lime and pineapple juice served in a bamboo mug with a bamboo leaf. Off course it wasn't going to be a sober night however I wanted to try their flowering teas so I also ordered the flowering jasmine and lily: a tower of jasmine blossoms on a base of lily petals and green tea. Just like any Dim Sum restaurant; we had a long piece of paper with a pencil to mark which dishes we would like in quantities (very different from ordering a starter and main course).

As a proud Hong Kong'er I have my standard selection of Dim Sum that I always get and the roast pork puff has always been my favourite on the menu. They are honey roast pork, puff pastry glazed with honey topped with sesame seeds. Usually I know them as triangular shaped so it was interesting to see Ping Pong's version that's shaped like a sausage roll. It was very crispy and tasty and my friend seems to really enjoy it as he's never tried it before!

Chilli pork tenderloin: they are pork fillets in sesame and chilli marinade with lettuce and red araranth. Be prepared to get stuck in with your hands; it was funny to see my friend trying to use a chopstick to tackle it...I guess there's a formality to use cutlery but screw it, Dim Sum is a combo of chopsticks and hands. The seasoning on this pork tenderloin really brings out the flavours and is well balanced with the lettuce.

The main dishes I was looking forward to the most were the baos! There has been a rise in popularity with white steamed buns and how could I resist from trying these! They are on their seasonal specials so it was a no brainer to try these before they disappear from the menu.
Smoked duck bao: comes with 3 fluffy white steamed buns with griddled smoked duck served with lollo rosso lettuce, cucumber, pickled carrot and mooli, hoi sin sauce with roasted sesame seeds.
Chilli prawn bao: also comes with 3 fluffy white steamed buns, king prawns with a chilli coating served with avocado, pickled carrot and mooli, lollo rosso lettuce, tuna flakes and plum mustard sauce.
Out of the two bao dishes; surprisingly I preferred the chilli prawn bao; I think the fried king prawns went really well with the steamed buns which had that extra crunch. I was getting really full by the second bao and my friend didn't hesitate to clean up the plate for me.

Last but not least, a dessert to end my fun filled night at Ping Pong which was the Yuzu matcha finger cake. It's a matcha green tea biscuit base with mango and passion fruit compote and yuzu mousse, sprinkled with pistachio. When I first read the menu I thought there was a lot going on but once the dessert arrived; it was a pretty, delicate but slim finger cake presented in front of me. It was rich and pact with flavours; so I savoured every moment of it with a small bite at a time. How would I some up my evening? Usually, the company really brings the meal to life and I sure had a great night full of laughter and silliness over some Dim Sum. He seems to laugh at me every time I take a picture of a dish but he finds what I do very very amusing.

Ping Pong have 8 restaurants in London: St Katherine Docks, Westbourne Grove, Wembley, Soho (flagship), St Christopher's Place, Bow Bells House, Southbank and Stratford.
Check out their seasonal specials menu whilst it's still there; offering limited time only ( I believe) main, cocktails and dessert.

Ping Pong is a contemporary Chinese Dim Sum restaurant in London. There are 8 of them dotted across the capital: Soho, Westbourne Grove, Wembley, Southbank, Westfield Stratford, St. Katharine Docks, St Christopher’s Place and St Paul’s. I’m not normally a fan of chains but I do like Ping Pong. More often than not, when I eat out I have very rich meals, usually basted in butter, but when I’m trying to stay healthy but still want to go out for dinner, I can go to Ping Pong and have a really tasty meal which is also relatively healthy.  As long as I stick to the steamed dumplings and edamame of course.  They also add seasonal dishes to their menu now and then, so when I do go back, I can discover new dishes. On top of all that, its not expensive.

Had a quick bite here with my brother this evening. We got seated really quickly even though the restaurant was busy. The service was attentive and even though there was a misunderstanding with part of the order, it got rectified quickly without much fuss. My brother complained that the chairs/stools are not comfortable but the food makes up for it. As a veggie, I kind of steer clear of Chinese cuisine but ping pong really does have a good selection of veggie options, and the menu lends itself to either having a full meal or having a quick bite. I have been to a few branches in London, I think the one on Southbank is my favourite, the one in Soho is good too. I would definitely recommend it!

What: Chinese Restaurant

Where: Oxford Circus

Value: £25

Food Review: Sundays at Ping Pong can equal an as much as you like sumday dum sums with a free mocktail (cocktail is available aswell). This allows you to go through the menu, minus the specials and try them all. This ranged from oyster mushroom starters, fried dim sum, steamed dim, rice bowl and veggies. Obviously we had to try them all. It makes it easier if there are 3 people as most of the dim sum is available in 3. All the dim sum was amazing, and soon favourites were picked out which included prawn toast, steamed prawn, 4 mushroom and pak choi. All in all there were 17 different dishes on offer and 23 rounds completed.

Settings Review: The seating upstairs is mostly a bar setting with mostly 2 seats. Downstairs is tge kitchen alongside bug sharing tables and a cute corner of 4s or 2s which is where I sat. Here overlooked a chinese garden providing a zen like environment.

Positives: umlimited dum sum, quick service

Negatives: starts to get a but repetitive so us it worth it?!

I'm not too much into Chinese cuisine, but Dim Sum is one of my favourites. So of course, I had to try the Dim Sum at popular Ping Pong. Went to the Soho branch, which was beautifully decorated. Though, the most important thing is the food, isn't it?

What I like about Ping Pong is the fact that they add seasonal dishes to their menu now and then, great to come back and discover new dishes. Of course, I tried all of them! The cocktails were top-notch as ever. I had the forbidden martini, whereas my friend ordered the cardamom and espresso martini. Both so delicious I wish I could just have a bucket of them!

The new honey-soy chicken wings were nice, but nothing special. Though, my absolute favourite among the A/W14 dishes were the lobster dumplings. I loved it so much I had two servings of them! Then we got stuffed on some classics like har gau, their prawn and chive dumplings and the scallop and shiitage ones. While they were all quite nice, I have to admit that the lobster dumpling were the only ones that really stood out.
We finished our dim sum session with their new apple and cinnamon parcels, which didn't impress me as much as their mochi ice creams they had over summer.
All in all, I just love dim sum and Ping Pong is definitely a great place to visit. It's perfect for those who have never had dim sum before and might feel intimidated by the restaurants in Chinatown, but also for those who are bored of the usual ones and like trying out new recipes while sipping on some great cocktails will definitely appreciate Ping Pong as well.

The two of us ate for £60, which is more expensive than Chinatown's dim sum places, but that's partly because of the cocktails. My friend was full, though, I was still hungry. But maybe that's just my never ending appetite.

Really not a Chinese food fan but Ping Pong changed my mind completely. If Chinese food is not on the top of your list then try Ping Pong to change your mind because it certainly changed mine!

They have both veg and non-veg to choose from and great cocktails and mocktails as well. Some flavours I have never heard of were absolutely amazing for herbal fusion drinks. The dim sums were very well cooked and had delicious stuffing inside that I could just eat on.

It is a cool and relaxing place to have lunch in with friends for a catch up. The interior is very modern and classy and the place has its own bar and seating area. Absolutely affordable just like any other Chinese restaurants around the corner but the service and atmosphere are great in Ping Pong. Moreover, the food is very appetizing

It is one of the few places where you can actually get authentic dim sum in London. The service is fast and the atmosphere is very relaxed, so it is a nice go to place for lunch if you are craving Chinese. I would recommend everyone their duck spring rolls, which were bite sized and full of flavour. However, the staff wasn't particularly friendly and the prices were average in the sense that you have to order larger quantities if you go on a hungry stomach.

If you like dim-sums, you'll find everything you need in this place. They have a long and appetising list of dim sums that you can try. Everything I tasted was delicious, I especially liked their king prawn sticky rice and their four mushroom puff, I couldn't get enough. I haven't tried their cocktails yet, but I definitely will next time.
The setting is very nice and most tables are designed for sharing plates, which is awesome.
The price is very fair, you can eat very well for less thank £20, and on Sundays, they have an all-you-can-eat offer for £21.95.
The waiter that day seemed a bit distracted and forgot one of the dishes we ordered, but it was okay, we had enough to eat while waiting for the forgotten dish.
In summary, it is a very nice restaurant for dimsums, and I actually went back twice after that time.

Selection a bit small but still yummy. The quality of the dim sum comparable to authentic chinese restaurants that serve dimsum. Strongly recommend the chicken shumai, duck spring rolls, cha siu buns and roasted pork pastry!

It was OK. The cocktails were better than the food. Char siew buns were pretty tasty. The siew mei were average.

This restaurant is a very contemporary and corporate version of old Chinese tea houses, where you can have drinks with friends while eating boiled eggs and dim sum.
Ping Pong is a London-based chain that offers good menu at small prices. The sets are rather elegant and dim sum not bad at all!

The food is amazing, would give 5* but the staff lack communication and you have to repeat everything 5 times to different staff to get your drink or the bill. I canceled an order and they failed to remove it! The food is really good! Must try it! But need keep calm an keep repeating if you want anything after the first order. Before 6 dim sum menu is half price and also on Sundays you can eat all you want for £26.50 sounds like a good bargain

Good veneu, ask for downstairs if you want big atmosphere. Upstairs for quiet and private. Food was nice and service was quick. The flower tea, apparently it blooms in the hot water.

The bottomless brunch was pretty nice, loved the cocktails and the DJ, but I didn’t enjoy the food that much. Had the regular Dim Sum Set and the vegetarian one, but it wasn’t quite my taste.

We enjoyed the stay in this restaurant a lot. The food was great and definitely delicious. The service was good as well. Just the music was a bit too loud to talk to each other.

I visited Ping Pong a week ago for the first time and was delighted. The food was delicious and the drinks were also very nice. My GF and I were served by a person called Paul who had a calming nature and ensured that we were happy. Overall very nice, I would recommend.

Went with a group of friends for a birthday dinner and had the set menu, it was perfect for a big group. Food was hot and fresh and served in great time, cocktails were gorgeous. Atmosphere is lacking slightly and it’s a little difficult if you’re a veggie/vegan who doesn’t like mushrooms to eat off the set menu but everything I did eat was gorgeous! Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful place and vibe. Food has highlights and misses. Dumplings and fried tofu were amazing. Veggie noodles weren’t great. Anyway, would 10/10 recommend to take advantage of the happy hour! IMO worth in that case.

We (party of 6) had a really nice lunch yesterday at PingPong. Food was amazing, well presented and tasty. Staff was great, attentive, but not overwhelming! I will definitely go back there again!

I ate here with my daughter and they catered amazingly for our intolerances. The staff were very friendly and we had a laugh with our waiter. We sat on the balcony section, which we liked but there was an outside courtyard, which looked nice too. We stumbled upon it being happy hour, so that was great. We probably ordered too many dishes 🤣 but they were all amazing. I'd definitely recommend it.
