I just had one of the most delicious dishes ever! Tasty and healthy :) also with a nice glass of proseco. There is very nice lunch menu and the interiors are great!
Super miejscówka! Nie jest tanio, ale warto! Pysznie przyrządzony kurczak i świeżutkie awokado. Mila obsluga, miejsce super klimatyczne i przecież na portobello market! :)

I decided to visit The Duke of Wellington when my grandparents came to visit me for the day one weekend. Knowing that they would want to explore the local area and that we wouldn’t want to trek too far to eat, The Duke of Wellington’s location almost exactly half way up Portobello Road market seemed pretty ideal. My grandad is a proper meat and potatoes kind of bloke, so some pub-grub also seemed like a good idea.
Lovely food, portions are quite big. We had baked camambert ann fish&chips. Nice decoration and service is very quick. Its a great spot to stop by when you're in Notthing Hill.
We dropped by for sunday lunch, they had a carvery on, so we went for roast beef, chicken and pork. The meat was very good and they have several excellent ales to wash it down with. Just the thing for a sleepy sunday. Then back home for more sleep.
I love this place, the food is of a good quality, beers are awesome and the atmosphere vibrant, particularly during the week-end !!!The decoration is very nice and rustic... Strongly recommend...As always Flat Eric...Advice for the tourists... Maybe to be avoid during Notting Hill Gate carnival !!! Lol...
What a lovely meal and time i spent at tue Duke of Wllington. Great service, great food and lovely company. My fish and chips was terrific and i will surely comeback in the future.
First of all, great decoration. Potato soup and bread with melted cheese is awesome for cold dasy. After soup, try sausage with shredded pork and a pint!
Very Good Pub Food. We went into the Duke for a pint and ended up staying for a couple hours. We had the mini pie platter some other platter that was a special for the day. The specialty platter had duck pate, scotch eggs, a bowl of sausages, two blocks of chesse, etc. The pies were mostly beef varieties, each delicious.
The meal was a big treat and the barkeep was entertaining. Liked it a lot.
Jason is in town from New York so Richard has organized dinner. Jason is the only person I know who's actually FROM the Hamptons. When I tell people I'm from Long Island, they will often say, "Oh, the Hamptons?" Which I suppose is a compliment because may
I went at The Duke of Wellington for lunch in a rainy day. In a day like that, the only thing I wanted was a good homemade sausage and mash. I got it! I was not sure to find a fresh dish of british sausages in a market road but fortunately... I was wrong. I could feel the freshness of the meat and the well cooked caramelized onion. I don't know if mash potato was fresh as well, but it was quite good al least. The best ending for that moment was their sticky toffee: sublime! Congratulations to the pub's style: lovely.
Took a client here on the evening of the first day of the tube strike.
Located in the heart of Notting Hill on Portobello Road, you half expect Hugh Grant to stroll in ! And this lovely pub appeared in the Notting Hill movie.
Lovely ambience, the furniture is really comfy. There's a beautiful restaurant upstairs and the same food is served on the ground floor.
To start with, I had scallops on black pudding with chilli, so yummy. Peter had Cornish crab, I didn't get good envy !
For mains I had game pie, first time on my life, I'm trying to be more ambitious. It was really tasty, not sure what meats were in there but they were good. Peter had venison burger, really unusual.
We had a very nice Mission Pinot noir.
For pud we had cheese selection, enough to feed an army ! Plus all saints muscat, gorgeous.
You feel part of English heritage in this wonderful place !!
This modern take on the traditional English pub is perfect! It has an excellent range of beers and delicious girly drinks. The friendly staff (most notably, Roderico, the Scottish fella) knock up a great Pimms with all the trimmings as you eye up the curious looking bar snacks on display in cake stands as though they were a fancy decadent treat! Lovely atmosphere, interesting art work and great lay out, Would happily go here every Friday night.
I've been at The Duke of Wellington with a friend few days ago, we tried to order by app but we had troubles so one of the boys at the bar helped us, he was so kind and friendly.
The haddock was delicious, one of the best fish and chips ever! The place is awesome, I really recommend it!
I will definitely return the next time
Had a wonderful drinking/dining experience at this place earlier this week. Fantastic food and reasonably priced pints for the area. Staff generally lovely as well. Had a strapping young bartender called Robel pour me several perfect pints, and despite my less than sober state, was quite the conversationalist! Pints didn't have too much head, for a change. Certainly better than other pubs in the local area.
What a great pub! popped in for a few pints with friends and will definitely be returning. Really nice atmosphere and the staff were so friendly! Had a really great bartender, Pierre, who was a delight, and put up amazingly with my indecisiveness of choosing a pint, he even helped me pick one and it was delicious! See you next time :)
I had my birthday here, in the snug area, last week and I can't thank the team enough. The snug area was fantastic with a/c and music provided and no charge to rent it for the evening. The bar staff, and especially Michael, were brilliant and really looked after us and the pub is dog friendly. What more can you ask for. The management team were really helpful on email and even the door staff were friendly on the night, I am so glad I chose this venue for my night. Thank you team.
I must say it is a wonderful place but my delightful sojourn with a certain bartender who goes by the name of Pierre put the cherry on the icing on the cake. What a hoot he is! Just remember Pierre… never play rugby with a panda! He’ll know what I mean because we had great banter together. I also watched him effortlessly diffuse an argument between two customers about Blair’s war in Iraq while simultaneously pouring the perfect pint. Mega skills!
Was in the area doing the tourist thing, the pub looked very welcoming, so popped in for a pint. Got chatting to Mike behind the bar as I wanted to try something new. He was super helpful, gave me a couple of samples to workout what I liked. Ended up chatting to some of the locals and staying for 3 pints! Great pub in a great location.
Came here at the end of our London visit for traditional fish and chips and was not disappointed! Traditional pub atmosphere with the friendly Bar Keeper cracking jokes with the regulars and making us tourists feel welcome as well. Crispy fish and chips tested wonderful with a pint of bitters - a defect end to our trip. Definitely recommended!
We didn't eat we just had a drink great vibe the pub was buzzing
Had such a good evening here! Was recommended by a friend and was not disappointed - lovely atmosphere and quick service! We were served by Pierre who was delightful, incredibly accommodating and also gave us great advice on other things to do in the area.
Had a very warm and welcoming atmosphere and plates with large servings. The bar has a rustic pub feeling to it and plenty of older victorian furniture for a comfy dinner. Very pet friendly with plenty of others having furry companions.
Wow! What an amazing pub. Atmosphere and drinks were great but the service was something else. A young lad named Robel served me. Quick of wit and a cheeky smile, he made me feel so at home. A fine young man indeed.
Just had an amazing meal, I got the bangers and mash, my friends got the Shepard's Pie and steak & chips. We couldn't fault the food, everything was delicious, hot and hearty.
Wasn't busy when we went, the staff are nice but they don't tend to check on you so you may need to flag them down if you need anything.
I would come back again as the food was incredible, a great London Pub service.
Duke of Wellington is a great pub! Amazing service, with really friendly staff. The barman Pierre really brightened up our day and made our first visit to Notting Hill a real pleasure. Definitely coming back when I'm next in the UK
Amazing! Very nice pub with a super cute atmosphere. I sat in Finch’s dining room and the waitress was so friendly and attentive even though it was busy. My sister and I shared the chicken sandwich and the salt beef sandwich and both were amazing. She said her cider was really good too. Highly recommend.
What a fantastic gem in the heart of Portobello. The pub has a beautiful traditional English feel. I had a delightful ham hock salad with home made croutons (not something you see everyday). Tim who served me told me all the best spots in the area and made sure my glass was always topped up!
I hired the upstairs space for a private drinks party. It was really easy to arrange, the staff were helpful and prompt in answering any questions. The space was perfect for drinks and nibbles. The staff were attentive and welcoming and were very prompt in returning the deposit.
