Booked an afternoon tea for myself and a friend to catch up. We were very lucky yo have a clear day the views were amazing. We were seated near a window, there were crumbs on the chair we were the first in the restaurant to be seated for the afternoon. Attention to detail for cleaning needs to be paid. Availability of mock-tails and vegetarian menu is good. Amazing availability of teas the waiter advised and helped with the selection of tea and coffee. You can get top of teas and coffees during your experience. The selection of sandwiches and little cakes are good, taste fresh, and all are different. The scones were warm and fresh when served with a top up of a drink also. Over all we really enjoyed our experience, the only thing was we had to grab the attention to top up our drinks, once we requested our top up it came with speed. Afternoon recommended.

After watching some YouTube videos on the best alternatives to typical tourist spots (think London Eye), I came across one that recommended afternoon tea at Ting. The selling points were not only could we enjoy a traditional English tea service but the view would be unmatched. The view was spectacular, the tea service was not. Our disappointment was really about the food accompanying the tea. The presentation was beautiful which only added to our disappointment. The sweets were overly sweet and the savory sandwiches were anything but savory. The famous English clotted cream couldn't save the scones. As for everything else, the tea selection was decent and everyone in our party was happy with their choice, even the non-tea drinkers! The staff were attentive and even able to accommodate food preferences (not allergies). We requested a window seat and had an excellent table from which we could see Tower of London on the right clear across to Elizabeth Tower aka Big Ben. We were fortunate to have clear skies that day. So, overall the wait staff, tea, and views made up for the food and I would still recommend this as an alternative to London Eye, just enjoy a cuppa and the view then get a bite at the Lamb and Flag.

If you want to have a fantastic 5 star experience with a 5 star customer service, Ting Restaurant is the place to go at The Shard. Food, atmosphere and customer service are outstanding. A big shout out to Marco, Carlos, Matt and Emanuele that served our table with great elegance and joy. I will sure be coming back for another great experience at this lovely place with professional staff.

The pros : unique views over the London skyline and great attention to details for the food taste and presentation, feedback welcomed and taken into account. Great service by Helga both for breakfast and lunch. The cons: prices are high but set menu is not unreasonably priced.

Amazing restaurant the waitress that served us was brilliant and was attentive. She understood our needs and requirements and was on point with our experience. Food was amazing we chose the 5 course menu which was extremely filling and value for money. The Conserige couldn’t find our booking although the booking was confirmed twice and they tried to sit us in the lounge area near where the live band was playing loud. The bank was brilliant to listen to from far so a conversation could still be heard with my partner.

I booked this experience through Virgin Experience Days and it came to £172. It was booked for my Mums 60th, and the overall experience definitely did not disappoint! Amazing views, food was lovely, and service great. It was extremely easy to find, as you came out of London Bridge station and it was to the left! However, we had to wait in a queue to get in, and the lady on the stand was quite slow. Getting into the restaurant, the view is amazing, and the venue is immaculate with a lovely atmosphere. However be very careful as the waiter does not let you know what is included in the voucher, and offered us drinks which we didn’t realise we’d have to pay extra for such as sparkling water and coffees. You only get one glass of Champagne which for the price was a bit tight. We got up and left thinking we’d paid already, which I confirmed with the lady on the desk as we came in, only to be chased on the way out of the restaurant by the waiter as we had not paid the service charge and extra drinks, all coming to an extra £35. It made me feel a bit awkward and made the experience a lot more expensive than expected. Other than those relatively minor points I couldn’t fault the experience and it was one I’ll never forget! Still recommend it to anyone!

One of the most incredible experiences of my life. My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary and had one of the Romance in the Clouds dinner packages. The view was to die for! The food was incredible, and worth every penny. The staff was beyond attentive and excited to share our celebration. The sommelier was so knowledgeable and had a great wine selection. We could not have asked for a better night.

Loved the atmosphere and the view despite a rainy London I can't blame that on the Restaurant! The food was also really good it isn't quite Michelin star level but it's enjoyable none the less, all in all worth coming at least once.

Pleasantly surprised, as often in london you pay for the view but this place does have a reasonably priced menu and food is delicious! Between 5:30 and 6:30 they have a three course menu for £56 and you dine with the most incredible London view. My fish was cooked to perfection, definitely sous vide which gives incredible texture and doesn’t over dry the flesh. sauce made it a good company. Dessert with merengues and different textures of berries was apparently vegan and absolutely Incredibly good!!!

The view plus the food during the Afternoon Tea experience left my wife so thrilled that she is now calling it the happiest day of her life. For me, us getting married still ranks higher. Alex, our waiter, did a fantastic job. His boss, Renata, also a part of the parade of staff that kept being us food and drinks. If you are offered water before the tea arrives, just say no. Unless you do not blink at the $15 hefty price, then you be you. I grew up poor so I hate leaving food at the table but we had to. Otherwise you would not have room for the next round. Delicious, delicious. I normally do not mustard but the sandwiches were heavenly. The signature pastry made in the shape of the Shard building. reportedly the tallest in Europe.

The whole experience start to finish is nothing but luxurious. The staff are very friendly and welcoming as you walk in and upstairs. I booked the table last minute requesting a table with a view, but considering it was only an hour before arrival, I didn't have high hopes. I was presently surprised when we arrived to have a table by the window with a stunning view of Tower Bridge. The waiter serving us (Carlos, I think) was lovely. There was no pressure when it came to ordering, but was helpful when we asked questions. The food came out promptly and was beautifully presented. My husband and I both had the monkfish and shared a jasmin rice, which was delicious. For dessert, my husband had cheese and crackers, and I had the comice pear & ricotta entremet. The dessert was very tasty, light, and refreshing. The cheese board came with a good selection of cheese and crackers. Highly recommend this to anyone, especially if it is for a special occasion. It is an experience to remember you will be looked after to the highest standards.

Had a fantastic experience here for my wife's 40th birthday, our waiter Alex was outstanding and I couldn't fault any part of the afternoon tea, most important of all, my wife had a superb time, Alex went above and beyond to make it a very memorable occasion. The food was fresh and delicious, the tea was great and the cocktails were a lovely addition to our afternoon tea. I would highly recommend Ting. Fantastic!

You enter at the 'lower level' hotel entrance of the Shard (the middle of the three doors). Go through security and in the lift. (The lift had two buttons, ground and level 35, and takes you quickly and silently to the 35 floor. The Ting 'eatery' is found to the right as you exit the lift. We had an afternoon tea next to the windows. The best service and great food, it was nice to have a vegan option on the menu. (The menu is offered as a QR code on a card on the table).
