Highlight of the night was our waiter, Samuel, a very attentive and welcoming chap from Spain who helped us throughout the night.

We picked Wahaca for Sunday dinner! It is the perfect time to visit as the place is quiet and no waiting at all. Ambience is nice with some really good music in the background. Coming to the food..we go for tortilla chips with gucuamole, buttermilk batter fried chicken Baja tacos and a veggie enchilada. The tortilla chips have always been a favorite so no surprises there. The chicken tacos are soooo good...little on the spicy side but good. The enchilada is cheesy and delicious. Not wanting to order too much but still craving for more, we go for some Nachos. It is the best decision we made because the nachos are amazingggg. Wanted to try the churros but no space left so that's for the next visit. It rarely happens that you order multiple dishes and no dish disappoints you, that was Wahaca for me. Worth repeat visits. Cheers!!

The guacamole and the pork pibil tacos are absolutely amazing. The Baja Corn tacos (we had the chicken one) too were a classic. And my friend swore by the margarita they had made. If only we had better service (had to holler out for a server even for some water) , it would

Being a vegetarian I have a very limited course of diet. I generally am not into trying new cuisines but surely Wahaca changed my perception. There was a lot of veg options to choose from. We ordered Cheesy cauliflowers, cheese taco, sweet potato taquitos which were just amazing. There was some cool alcohol also. Overall it was a very nice experience
It use to be my go to affordable restaurants. However, since the price has gone up the food doesn't taste as nice as they use to. Have a feeling they had to cut down on certain food or the quality of it. Because this doesn't taste as nice as it was before.
I have been looking for a good mexican place in London for a long time and this places comes very close. Went there on late friday night and did not have to wait. The starters were amazing while the main course was okay. Also worth trying is the hot choc and tequila experience.
Amazing Mexican food to indulge yourself in!!! Empanada, tacos and quesadillas.. Everything was delicious.. My personal favorite was sweet potato under the nibble section!!!
Been there with friends. Ordered for a Margarita and a couple of Tequilas. The Margarita came first and the Tequilas followed 5 minutes later! Similarly when we had ordered for a Sonora salad, A Veg. Burrito, and 2 Grilled cod 'al pastor' the salad made its appearance followed soon by the Burrito and then after a while the fish. The food was excellent but was rather put off by the instalment service. No idea if that is the practice here was just a day off.
Worth the visit just for the food though.

I love this restaurant for the vegetarian options be it the Corn, black bean and guacamole Tostadas, the sweet potato with rock salt, rice and beans, winter vegetable burritos or enchiladas.
The staff are very efficient, the ordering process quick, the taste awesome and the payment time is under two minutes making one go back repeatedly.
You can ask for still water and not pay for it. Just make that clear when you're seated at the table.
This place is an out n out 5/5. Steak and a glass of red wine is an ultimate choice at this place. Service people r chilled out n friendly. Location is fab. Whenever in London will visit again.

Mexican, but with lots of small dishes. Very interesting concept, very tasty food and great to share. A nice twist on traditional Mexican cuisine.
Steak tacos here are to die for!
Great lunch experience with mates. By the park with two levels and we were at the level above as the base level was packed. Nice view of the park with a few tables (much quieter above as well). Had beers and a spread of the fare and everybody liked the food. Friendly efficient service as well. Not much wrong with this establishment.

Love the concept of having a lot of small little mexican dishes to share with the table. And because the variety is big there is always something to please everyone. The quality is really good too from everything I have tasted and the prices are very friendly. Some of my favourites are the guacamole, the salmon tostada and the chicken tacos.
If you're going for an alcoholic drink have a margarita! They're great (and strong)!
Once I've also ordered a chicken burrito as a takeaway but was not a fan as I found the spicy rice to be overpowering and the entire thing hard to eat (but I don't usually go for burritos so maybe it's just me!)
Great Mexican place with bags of flavour in its dishes. Had both the chicken big plates and they were much better than I was expecting them to be. I was horrified when I realised their nachos don't have cheese but they had a phenomenal salsa and I can honestly admit I did not miss the cheese at all.
The only thing that lets it down is the service. We had to wait 20 minutes for a table. This would be okay if they weren't serving us so slow inside (makes me think if they were quick inside, we probably wouldn't have had to wait). We had to wait 15 minutes to order food after ordering drinks and then sat 15 minutes after eating everything and requesting for the cheque, waiting for the cheque.
Bustling with activity, kid friendly. Funky festive decor. Friendly staff. Lacks the spice / punchiness that characterizes Mexican food. The meat tacos were very well done. The veggie Tostada was fresh and tasty. Churros were okay, too.

B and I were looking for an easy dinner after a huge Saturday and so close to home we found Wahaca.
The first thing, you enter Wahaca from the street. Don’t go down to the shopping centre.
The second thing, be ready for noise. It’s loud and bustling but no big deal. Onto the food.
We ordered the following.
Pork Pibil Taco’s – Were very tasty though personally a bit too much for me. B liked them a lot though. I could handle one but no more than that.
Chicken Tinga Taco’s – Now these were more for me. Really liked the spice added and it gave a slight hit. B wasn’t a huge fan so we each got two of the one we liked.
Chorizo & Potato Quesadilla – Really cheesy and a good amount of chorizo inside. These were fluffy and delicious.
Marinated Chicken Taquito’s – These have almost a minced chicken inside and are covered in salad and sour cream. Tasted good but again, a bit too plain for my liking.
Chicken Wings – Now these were coated realty well and the habanero sauce was delicious.
We also got some corn chips and salsa which was nice to finish on.
All in all an affordable restaurant which is quick and easy.
From Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) to sombreros, drug cartels and Aztec Temples, Mexico really does have it all – and this includes an amazing cuisine. Enter claim to expertise in regards to this wonderful food based solely on the fact that I have visited the country and we have a recipe for success. So does the chain further the cause?
A great Mexican meal at a great price . The guacamole was fresh, tangy and flavourful. Followed with the chicken quesadillas and bacon chips. The beef burrito was a tad dry . It could have done with some sour cream , salsa etc. A week bit disappointing . But the salmon tostadas were so good that it didn't matter . And to end it all , the churros in dark chocolate sauce. Heavenly. A great meal and super staff.

Probably one of the best chain Mexican places I have had in London. Although I am no expert on Mexican food by any means, the food was tasty and arrived in good time. And ending on churros in a delight. What's not to like about fried dough dipped in liquid chocolate?
Great spot for lunch and the small sharing portions are perfect giving you the opportunity to try different things. And definitely the best churros in London!
The bar upstairs is really cool! Great view, awesome place to chill! They even have a foosball table!
Good food too! Lots of appy's if you're looking for just drinks and snacks. The guac is mediocre, but their slow cooked pork is great! Try it in a taco or burrito! It's awesome in every way!

Busy during the week but the takeaway line moves quickly. If their upstairs bar is open take your burrito there for comfy seats and a view over the square.
Yummy Food and Great Atmosphere. The food is always great and the atmosphere is lots of fun. Sometimes you have to wait to get a table, but they've got a great indoor roof terrace where you can have a beer (or margarita) while you wait. Well worth the money and the portions are HUGE!
Much better service than their Covent Garden location and the food is just as good. A great lunch time spot in an area of otherwise same-y chains. The only downside is that the all hard surfaces interior makes it very noisy and sadly not a place to linger.

I love this place! Great prices, fantastic food at reasonable prices AND great, friendly staff who are happy you're eating in their place!! The menu is wide and varied with surely something for everyone - my kids age 6 and 4 loved it too. Similar in layout and service style to Wagamamma but a little more refined. Highly recommended!!
I love wahaca for non greasy/ healthy Mexican food and now it's in my neighbourhood. There's a new greasy Mexican resto opening soon too in cwharf
I loved everything we ate at Wahaca and am thrilled to have discovered it. The Canary Wharf location of Wahaca that I visited is huge and yet very busy. We were lucky to have been seated without much of a wait (we went around noon). Service was friendly, courteous and mostly attentive (when we asked for our bill, they were busy with wrapping another table with many guests).

I went for a mexican classic pork pibil, tender marinated perfectly and was rich in flavour a tad little spicy. It came wrapped in a parcel which was annoying for me to keep opening to grab food on my fork. The beans was soft, and the rice was cooked well enough that was in between hard to soft. Just goes to show how a simple format of serving food as and when it's ready coupled with an inexpensive menu is hard to beat.
The original plan today had been to eat at the Manhattan Grill at the Marriott in Canary Wharf and we phoned through to confirm their opening hours. When we arrived in good time however, the door to the restaurant was locked and the restaurant empty (possibly because the front door was locked). We walked round to the front of the Marriott Hotel where none of the people on that door seemed to know whether the restaurant was (or should be) currently open. We walked through the hotel to the restaurant, two cooks out front thought it was closed but seemed unsure. Someone appearing to be in charge said the restaurant was closed, we explained that on the phone one hour previously we were told it was open, she then changed her mind and said we could eat there. By now, it no longer seemed like a good idea. Back out through the front of the hotel, the door folk had a smirk on their face. They said it was probably because the hours had changed because of the Olympics. They didn't seem to reall
I don't even have to look at the menu these days. British steak burrito (£6.95) with baju cheese (+60p), period. Succulent steak strips, frijoles, a smatter of avocado salsa and bulked up with green rice, all wrapped in tortillas. The best part? Wahaca toasts its burritos after they are wrapped. The melted cheese within is pure delight. That with copious amount of chipotle salsa always puts a smile on my face.
Mexican food at its best.. This was the first restaurant I have been in London.. Food was OK ... Bit costly as compared to India though...will recommend for Mexican lovers at canary wharf

In wahaca you will get Mexican delicacies. You can choose from a range of veg & non-veg selections. Ambience was ok. Service was very quick & friendly staff. After a hectic week one can definitely try this out.

Tried something a little new and shared two main plates - the fish with green rice which was the healthy alternative but still absolutely scrumptious and the Steak burrito which was nice, but more standard Wahaca fare.
The restaurant was packed but service was swift, efficient and polite!
If you need a fairly speedy lunch and don't want to queue for long, wahaca is the place. They serve good quality food and I normally go for burrito or the set wahaca menu if I'm with someone else. I love their churros with chocolate or caramel sauce (quite often I can't decide which one I want)..
Good food, lovely ambience and healthy portions make for a great dining experience.
The flavours are well pronounced and leave you wanting more.
Their selection of Mexican hops complements the food.

I admit it. I totally love this place. Proximity to office location biases my overwhelmingly positive review since I end up going to this place more often than any other place in Canary Wharf.
You have to have their burritos. It's lip- smacking and finger-licking best! Their fish tacos is surely a delicious treat too. Pork pibil is a let-down in my opinion. I have not been to Mexico, so I would refrain from judging the authenticity of their food (like it happens so often in London, that you get deceptive Indian food! Very annoying and frustrating), but whatever they are serving here, the foods tastes awesome to ensure a second-visit at least, if not more.

Fantastic place, excellent food would recommend this place to anyone! Every time I have eaten here the service has been fantastic. Waiting times can be 15-20 mins during lunch time but this is to be expected.
Ah Mexican food: will I ever understand you? Probably not, but that doesn't matter. Whether it's spicy black bean or something with mushroom and cheese in it I don't think I've ever tasted something Mexican that I didn't like.
Wahaca is, I suppose, as classy as Mexican is ever going to get. Which is then ironic seeing how the place leverages the street food vibe in its menus and decor. Of course the food was anything but street and presented well; a genuine novelty is how Wahaca deliberately offers a bunch of "mini" meals as opposed to its main dishes - a kind of make your own set menu as it were. I went for two items off this list which turned out to be the perfect amount for a tummy filling lunch. A nice touch was the chilli seeds instead of matches given out at the exit (which I believe you can plant and keep in the place itself - the best loyalty card I've ever seen).
My tastada, quesadilla and orange juice came to under a tenner which I thought was a bargain.
Been to Wahaca a few times now & the food is really tasty. Well spiced & a good selection which is refreshing for Mexican food.
We arrived early evening to find that we had to wait in the bar but we were given a device that indicated when our table was ready. The only problem that the bar was very noisy but we didn't mind as it had a good atmosphere.
The menu is printed on each disposable place mat and there is plenty to choose from. We opted for 4 street food options to share between the two of us. I loved the hot chocolate with the slightly spicy chocolate square it came with. We were given some chili seeds to grow your own!Loved it, just our kind of casual place - good Mojitos too!
s really well. My favourites are Chipotle chicken quesadillas and the sweet potato side with caramelised mojo de ajo, so good! The service is always good and friendly, it's the perfect place for both a quick working lunch as well as a longer more relaxed dinner with family and friends
If you think Wahaca is best for its food, think again! The bar at the back (which is actually on the front when you see from the side of Waitrose) with the foosball table is in my view the real gem.
I have been here for lunch as well as for after office drinks and both have been a delight. The concept of street food seems a bit novel to us so to be safe we ordered the set menu, which I must say, was tasty and filling. And as for the bar, I am definitely coming here again. The views of the grounds below is fantastic so if a big screen is put here for summer, there would be no better place to watch the action than this bar. Unfortunately they only have 1 foosball table so it may often be difficult to find it free.
I like this places As the menu is spread out with good quantity per serving. Prices are reasonable with average spend of 15 per person.
I personally prefer the burritos and chicken tortilla. Desserts are also good and tiramisu is my favourite. Place is full but the waiting is not too long and you would get a table within 10 min on most of the occasions.
First time I visited they also gave me chillies plant, which I thought was a very nice gesture on their part...
Their small plates/tapas are very cheap and allow you to try several dishes on the menu. Most Mexican restaurants in London serve very large portions for one person and so does Wahaca hence order side dishes which should fill you. Try the Churizo Potato Quesdilla its pretty good. Its a great place for friends and family cause encourages you to share everything on the table, the ambiance is colorful and staff is friendly. I wouldn't say its great quality of mexican food but its better than most Mexicans restaurants I have eaten at in London. Their Fresh Salsa is very flavorful but avoid their special Hot sauce cause your stomach will be on fire - Its Smoking HOT!!! Lastly try the passion fruit margarita its value for money and absolutely delicious.
The best quality Mexican food in Canary Wharf! You can go during lunch time to pick up take away salads, burritos and taquitos. Quality of the food is amazing and usually service is quite quick. The restaurant in itself is just like the other Wahaca restaurants, cheap but amazing food, great service, and nice waiters. Definitively not a place to go for a business lunch, but rather as a hangout with friends or a quick take away.
