The Lexington is one of my favourite venues in London. The music is always great and so is the ambience - The vintage decoration brings so much character to the venue! Highly recommend it!
An iconic venue in London serving iconic British grub. The Lexington in Pentonville has a unique history, hosting events and gigs for the likes of Yeasayer and Black Mountain make it a name of note. So when I told friends I was invited to try food at The Lexington there was some puzzled faces. Food? At The Lexington? Yes my dear those are my Friday night plans.
Large pub between kings cross and Angel - downstairs is quite vintage decor (chandeliers) and gets v busy on a sat! Drinks are reasonably priced. Upstairs turns into a club night and is a bit smaller with a stage - good music though.

Excellent spot for drinks as well as a night out! Pub downstairs has got a great feel to it. Music is really cool, decor vintage and the atmosphere is brilliant. Most people dance and chat to each other and you are bound to have a decent time. Upstairs offers a dancing floor and is bit more like a club(although it can't match the atmosphere downstairs). Open till late with no fees for entry. No brainer if you are around!
Watched the amazing and underrated music artist Jessica Winter! The venue is beautiful and not too big. Drink prices are good and toilets upstairs as well as downstairs. Very much recommended for music gig lovers!
Great bar and nightclub for anyone looking for 80s music such as new wave and shoe-gaze. It isn’t insanely loud and impersonal, it still retains a bar-like intimacy despite being a nightclub. recommend this place also because the staff are very friendly. The only thing I didn’t like was the upstairs part of the bar, the nightclub, where you have to pay to get in and it’s not as intimate as the ground floor.
Stage and dance floor upstairs and plenty of sitting and standing room downstairs. Also a bar on both floors. It's a grimy local with a rustic/punk feel. Good for people of any ages. Drinks were reasonably priced and although it was packed, it was never more than a couple of minutes to get served (maybe just because I'm good looking) Either way I loved it did a good 200 quid just on myself, my mate left with some bird.
Woah I used to go here ages ago and it honestly hasn’t changed a bit. Proper whiskey bar and one of the main places I would recommend to visit in the capital. I rehappened upon it and then returned later in the day
Great pub with a music venue / club above it.
The pub has a good range of hand drawn and tap draft beers.
A relatively small menu but good food.
The music room upstairs is a good size and shape - nicely square - with a raised area at the back. Great atmosphere for the band we saw - The Lathums.
The music venue is upstairs, good acoustics I think as it sounded amazing, you can see the stage pretty well from everywhere and it's quite intimate, but with plenty of space to breathe even when sold out, the ceiling is not too low, I think that's the reason. There are some pillars but they are not a problem to see round.
The bar downstairs has a proper London pub feel but when you actually look at the decor it's quite quirky and surprising. There is a good choice of beers and a huge range of whiskies and the staff were all great.
I didn't have food so have given five stars for that too as no option to skip.
Being so close to Kings Cross it's v easy to get to, I think we'll be in there quite a bit now we've found it. Highly recommended.
Great pub in London (not far from Angel and Kings Cross). Good atmosphere. Decent drinks price and choice. Great live music venue. Would recommend if in the area.
No idea if the pub is any good, I don’t drink and didn’t even hang out in the main part of the establishment, but the concert hall upstage is quite well-put together aside from a stage light that fell off mid-performance. (Good thing it swung around on the wires and not hurt the guitarist underneath it.)
Surprisingly good acoustics, but - to be fair - props to the bands for knowing their way around their equipment.
Also, the barman was sensational: she was extremely supportive and very kind to all of us. Rocked it! Thank you!
[Upstairs venue review only] Small and intimate venue with good views of the stage from anywhere (apart from behind a pillar). The bar is also easily accessible during performances. Doesn't get too hot due to their air conditioning.
Such an awesome venue upstairs to watch live music. Not to bad downstairs either. Very good selection of beers on tap. Good atmosphere and looking forward to going back 👍
