HOB is by far the best brunch cafe I have ever been to. It is also halal which works perfectly for me. The service was amazing and the staff were kind and made sure we were comfortable. The atmosphere is very upbeat and boosts your mood. I got the buttermilk pancakes which included; scrambled eggs, 3 turkey bacons, 1 sausage, 3 pancakes potatoes and orange maple syrup. Altogether it was amazing and the orange maple syrup complemented the salty turkey bacon. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The seasoning on the potatoes was really good aswell. I got the berry smoothie wich was good but had a bit to much banana. 10/10 I definitely reccomend.

Super delicious trendy Middle Eastern food. We had the faves beans and full breakfast and both were super. Coffee was good as well and staff were super friendly. Worth to visit and will be one of my favourite places.

Lovely little gem in Balham! We were lucky to walk straight in as a table of 4 at about 1pm on a Sunday. Vast menu, which made choosing difficult, but great to see so many breakfast, brunch and lunch options. Opted for the Mediterranean breakfast, which was very tasty. Very good value as well, breakfast, coffee and service came to about £16pp. Friendly team and good service 😊

Love this brunch place! It’s middle Eastern cuisine adapted for the British palette, but still maintaining its middle eastern roots - food is well priced and you definitely get your money’s worth with the portion sizes. Pick between your typical brunch dishes with egg or sweet pancakes or choose your lunch options like wraps. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options too! Walk ins usually only on weekends but don’t expect to be waiting anymore than 10 min for a table for 2. Thanks HOB for an amazing experience each time. Will be recommending to all my friends and I will be back again!

Delicious food, generous portions, friendly owners and staff. I had the veggie Lebanese breakfast and would 100% be going back again! Really cosy place for a catch up with friends or a spot to people watch and chit chat! Loved it.

Extremely good service from the moment I came in. Waiter was friendly and helpful and answered the few questions I had. I had the Mediterranean breakfast which was delicious I just wish the portion was slightly bigger. My friend had the butter milk pancakes which he also really enjoyed. When I went up to pay the man behind the desk was also very friendly which was a pleasant way to finish the experience. Heart of Balham will be seeing me again !

The breakfast at HOB was so delicious that I ended up eating there three days in a row while I was visiting London. I tried the Vegan Bake Up, the Veggie Lebanese breakfast (pictured) and the Lebanese Breakfast. They were very accommodating about making substitutions for vegetarians. Everything I ate there tasted amazing and fresh. It can get busy even on a weekday afternoon but service is quick. Highly recommend.

Came for lunch on a Saturday afternoon (1pm) and it was a full house. As a table of 3 we waited around 10-15 minutes but we were greeted on arrival and felt accommodated. The food is tasty and the portion sizes are reasonable for the price so we left quite happy. Lots of vegetarian, halal and vegan options! Would definitely come back here!

Had the Lebanese Breakfast which was a great portion, very well seasoned and delicious. Different to what i initially intended to go for, but loved all the same. Will definitely return to try something else. Service was also really nice. Only downside is how small the place is, but it doesn’t affect the quality of anything at all.
