Fish lovers place. Interesting proposal with botelless Prosecco 15 pounds per person. Everything fresh and tasty. 20£ for 2 course brunch, 25-3 course. Medium size portions (order side dishes)

My favorite fish restaurant in London, getting a bit dated with decor, but the food is still fab.

We had a wonderful meal, the seafood and fish were very fresh and cooked to perfection. Service was good too, very attentive and swift. For the quality of food, this restaurant is not expensive so ignore reviews who complain about that, you are eating fresh fish and seafood cooked really well, £12-15 for a fish main is very fair. My only sore point is being charged £3.50 for ‘homemade’ white bread that was heated to appear fresh, it did not taste wow either. If a restaurant wants to charge for bread, then please give us a combination of breads, dark, rye, sourdough, olive bread etc.... otherwise it should be free or cheaper.

The best seafood in London. The menu could be more expansive, but quality & presentation is excellent. Modern decor, very clean/white and semi minimalistic, with high ceilings. Well spaced table compared to other restaurants which I liked. Despite being what is a rather open space, it was still reasonably 'loud and bustling' which lends for a good atmosphere. The service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing.

Had a three course set dinner here and it was delicious, well presented and really good value for money. The oysters as starters were very fresh, sea bream was nicely cooked and fresh, and crème brulé was amazing too. The service was great and has a great atmosphere, good for meeting up with friends and for couples. Will definitely come back here.

I took my Mum for a Mother's Day treat, the staff were friendly and attentive, the food was AMAZING! Best fish I've had for a very long time. We were there for two hours no one rushed us it was a lovely experience. So close to Notting Hill Gate station, a really great find. We'll certainly be back x

Good restaurant with a small menu - but that is usually a good sign. If English is not your first language you will have trouble understanding the fancy names of the dishes. Food was very good, especially the sides /salad. Staff was very quick in taking orders - even sometimes came too often to ask. Only downside was that food was dropped at the corner of the table line 'here it is, organize yourself'. Bill includes a 12.5% service charge

Beautiful Fish on the set menu. The salmon (cooked to perfection) came with pea shoots- as a main, the dish needed more greens as it was served with only a few leaf’s worth of pea shoots. So we had to order a side of greens as it was a necessity and it shouldn’t have been.

Very good food and service. Everyone at the table got their food at the same time. We were a party of four and had the roasted salmon with buttered potatoes with hollandaise sauce and the fish pie. Both were really well-made and tastefull. Good selection of wines and the drinks are made at their own bar.

The seafood specials are amazing - this is your perfect choice if you're into this kind of dishes. I like the restaurant and my boyfriend and I are often visitors there. It's a little pricey but it's justified by the excellent overall appeal of the place.

Good atmosphere and nice seafood. Pretty good service. You would expect to have bread and butter to come with the oysters but you need to order it separately and pay for it! Not such a big deal after all but for the principle only!

For the month of August Kensington Place is branching out into the pop up scene with an upmarket pop up fish and chip cafe - The Notting Gill Chippy. Located right near the Notting Hill Tube station, in a small shop front on Kensington Church Street, this cafe is serving savoury donuts filled with lobster and fish finger butty with spicy ketchup. All very interesting, but being a puritan I went for the simple choice - fish and chips (£8.50). I had to wait about five minutes for my food but I did not mind. As unlike most cafes in London, the Gill Chippy is surprisingly spacious if a bit spartan. It reminds me of a beach hut in Brighton or Swanage. I opted for takeaway which came in a very upmarket looking bag. The fish and chips were the best I have eaten in a long time. Lots of fish, flavour and not greasy at all. But the icing on the cake was the tartare sauce - homemade, lumpy and with the right balance of cream and sharpness. I am definitely coming back for more.

Super airy and light atmosphere, serving up great fish dishes. Whoever I bring to this place loves it. Wine is great too!

Kensington Place, part of the D&D London group, is a stylish and modern British brasserie in Notting Hill. It opened its doors more than 25 years ago, but has recently undergone a make-over with a redesign of the interior and a new menu that has a strong emphasis on seafood. I fell in love with Kensington Place as soon as I walked into the bright and colourful restaurant. I was attending an event and did not sit down to try their menu. However, the homemade canapés I tasted during the evening were very good. I tried a few great tequila cocktails created by Kensington Place Bar's mixologist, Imants Zusmanis. His passion for his job was evident in every drink and in the way he explained us the history of tequila, the cocktail's preparation and their flavour combination. I was really impressed by the Kensington Place staff and drinks and I am planning to go back for lunch or dinner soon.
