The legendary beigel bake! It’s always crowded, simple menu. You go in, ready to order. Don’t go to counter then think what do I order. Get the salted beef bagel, no doubt. Get in, get out. The place is always open.

it was amazing to eat delicious bagels and desserts after walking along Brick Lane. It is pretty cheap at the same time.

Tuna&sweetcorn&mayonnaise bagel: it was so delicious, nice snack for late hours😅

Cheesecake: it was extremely intense and I like this, maybe it would be more cheesey and creamy. It was just 90 penny😍

Far the very best beigels in town!
I went to this place so many times and I can't get tired! After a good walk on East London, it's never bad to finish a day at this place. Their mustard is a must try, with a beer is a lovely combination!

London's favourite Salt Beef since 1977
------------------------------------
One of Brick Lane's gem Beigel Bake serves a brilliant moist salt beef beigel in all of London.
-----------------------------------
EST. 1977, this East end Jewish eatery initially began with salmon and cream cheese orders and now the moist salt beef with pickle and a thick serving of housemade mustard is the favourite. Their unique bagels are boiled in water prior to baking, giving them that crisp exterior and a soft interior.

The salty beef itself is very succulent complimenting the crusty bits of the bagel along with the sourness of the pickle. The real game changer is the housemade mustard sauce, giving it the right pungency and balancing the salty beef.

This bakery sure is popular...the line stretched out the door and wrapped in front of the window. A foodie friend recommended this place to me so I wanted to see what the fuss was all about. The service is swift to deal with the queues but not exactly the friendliest probably due to the queues.

I ordered a few to takeaway including the Beigels, Doughnut, and Coconut Slice. The baked goods were all quite nice and definitely value for money as lots of items for £1 or less.

Anyone from overseas visiting London and not trying Salt Beef from Beigel Bake is a crime! The Salt Beef with Pickles are to-die-for combination. I like how the buns have a bit of sticky texture as well. Worth the hassle to go there.

We came for their salt beef bagel and it was worth the trip. The thick slabs of beef were very tender and the delicate flavour was perfectly complemented by the spicy kick of the English mustard. Prepare to wait as the queue is long.

Funny enough, I heard about this store through the YouTube channel Yidlife Crisis and immediately added it to my list of places to visit. I'm so glad I did because that Salt Beef Bagel was literally the best bagel I've ever had in my life. In fact, it was so good that I've given 5 stars even though I couldn't say the place rates high ethically. MUST TRY!

AMAZING, very well-priced bagels. From Central London, this place is a bit of a trek, but the trek was most definitely worth it. The salt beef was amazingly tender, while the smoked salmon and cream cheese was a well-made classic. If you live far, buy a dozen to bring home - it’s so worth it!

I had just had lunch when I went to this place, but I really wanted to try these bagels. So I only bought one, for a late afternoon snack.
The place is is crowded, and we considered going to another Beigel shop exactly next to this one, when we heard a Portuguese on the street shouting “stay on the other, the queue is worth it!”
There we were, waiting for a bagel! We bought a tuna, sweet corn and mayo, which was really good! The other look amazing, and well sure come back for more! Simple and tasty food!

There are 2 competing Jewish beigel places right next to each other, both with huge lines out the store during prime lunch time – after all, the beigels were super tasty, filling and of course, cheap! It’s always nice to find an affordable place in London hearty enough to fill you up and Beigel Bake certainly fits this description. We got a couple to share and I was definitely happy with the overall texture and value for money 🙂

Quality bagels for a steal. Loaded with smoked salmon, the bagels at this joint, situated just a stone's throw away from Liverpool Street station, do not disappoint. Essential after a night out (it's open 24h!) or for a quick bite. Keep in mind that there's no seating inside.

Great cheap eats in London 24/7 if you are in the area! There's usually a line during the day, which takes about 5-10mins. The salted beef bagel was tender and not too salty but I love the salmon and cream cheese bagel more. It was a quick bite to fill the stomach while it doesn't break your bank. Other baked goods were just okay. I would stick with their bagels.

One of the food stops on my Eating London tour. The locals and visitors alike love this place, the queues were pumping why we were there. It’s only £3.70 for the salt beef bagel and even lower price tags for the other baked goods on offer. Beigel Bake is famously 24 hours so perfect for a late night filler that isn’t dripping in grease. But, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the salt beef. It’s a leg cut from the animal and whilst I’m sure Beigel Bake has an excellent salt beef, I can’t say it’s my favourite beef. You get a crazy amount (those ladies are whipping it out like noone’s business and it’s cheap too. Pray they go easy on the mustard. Bagels are a different style to the ones I’m used to, more rustic and a different but still enjoyable doughiness.

True gem in the middle of Brick Lane area that basically serves delicious bagels. Tried out the meat one (wonderful tender meat with pickles and English mustard), salmon with cream cheese and also a sweet one; all were awesome and very delicious. As an extra, it's very cheap! Clearly looks that this store feeds the community for years; tradition can be felt. Don't miss it if you around of Brick Lane or Whitechapel.

It is a must see and taste! The meat is surprisingly tender and very tasty. Although it is open 24/7 expect a queue during lunch time and afternoon. I just regret trying it with mustard, it is english mustard obviously, which I found too strong, but is is just a personal opinion, my friends loved it either way.

This place is a must for when you're in London. It's open 24 hours, it's been open for forever, it's crazy cheap. It's legendary. It's in a legendary place. . Back when I used to live in London and hung around the Shoreditch neighbourhood much of my time there, this used to be a regular lunch place. A and I would meet up after his work and come here for a quick bite before dinner. A and I would bring our visiting friends here for a treat. There are usually lines, but the ladies are so quick at mental calculations that you will never need to wait too long. Yea, so bring your coins. They are not the friendliest people, either, to be honest, but they are not here to sell their smiles, and for the price and taste you're getting, you don't really care either. It's almost part of the experience package.

This place is an institution and their salmon and cream cheese bagel as well as their salt beef bagels live up to the hype!

Every time I have been to store there have been scores of people lining up for one (and often dozens) of the extremely fresh bagels baked in store and constantly. The line moves really quickly as the ladies behind the counter make sure you get your order and leave the line as quickly as possible.

They focus on a handful of menu items at very reasonable prices and they do it well.

A must visit if you are in the Brick Lane area.

What can I say about Beigel Bake? Well this is not just about bagels here, even if they are amazing, especially the one with smoked salmon and cream cheese and the peanut butter.
The best thing is the location, situated on Brick Lane and that it is opened 24 hours. This is the perfect combination, if you are hungry, you like bagels, you are drunk or you just want to have a quick snake while you are walking in Brick Lane or surrounding areas.
It is a big institution that all Londoners should try at least once in a lifetime. And if you don't like bagels, you can still grab a croissant, pan au chocolate or other pastries.

There are a ridiculous amount of things to do in London. There are endless restaurants, museums, markets, theatres and parks to spend your time in and even now, after spending 28 years in this city, I haven’t even scratched the surface. Everybody claims to know this city like the back of their hand, yet I would bet any money that there are at least 10 must see places that even the most ardent of Londoner hasn’t even heard of, let alone been to. Sure, everybody knows about Regents Park and Primrose Hill but I’ve had endless emails and messages from people telling me they were amazed after seeing St Dunstan-in-the-East on the site. The same goes for the Pergola & Hill Garden I wrote about a little while ago and if it wasn’t for the movie Closer, it’d probably happen with Postman’s Park too. There is always a hidden gem just around the corner in London and that’s what makes it so great; no Londoner has seen it all and no mater how hard they try, they never will… … That being said though, there are a few things that you need to experience before you can call yourself a true Londoner. Here are a few off the top of my head: Watching Tower Bridge raise. Wondering why your bent as hell Oyster card won’t register on the reader. Walking past a Shitbucks and going into your favourite greasy spoon to pick up your morning tea/coffee for less than a quid. Visiting Borough, Camden Lock, Portobello Road & Old Spitalfields markets. Shivering at the thought of getting on the Northern Line. Trying to stop yourself from killing somebody standing on the left side of an escalator. … And sinking your teeth into a Brick Lane beigel. Seriously. The Brick Lane beigel shops are a staple within this city and need to be visited if you want to call yourself a true Londoner. It’s just that simple.

Wonderful beef!. The salt beef beigel was amazing! The mustard had a real kick to it, and the beef! So bouncy! The texture was incredible. Compared to the other beigel shop next door, Beigel Bake's beef was better in texture and quality. Nevertheless, the salt beef beigel in the shop next door tasted better over all with the combo of mustard (almost wasabi-like), gherkin and beef.
The sausage roll looked mouth-watering and was excellent value at just £0.60.

Really can't beat this .. I love the salt-beef bagels here. Growing up in North America, I miss having reuben, corn beef or roast beef sandwiches so salt-beef is the closest thing i have found here and is done best at beigel bake. On top of that the beigels are all very fresh, doughy with a chewy texture; nothing like the ones found at the supermarket.

And the challah. Oh the challah. It reminds me of a brioche but with more eggyness and texture. I have not had a challah better than this in london. Beigel bake bagels are such a bargain price too (something ridiculous like 35 p per bagel) so I always stock up with a dozen until my next visit to brick lane!

How do you desribe perfection? Well for beigels it's the Brick Lane Beigel Bake. Dating back countless years this wonderful place has the best beigels in town and when you add things like hot salt beef or smoked salmon and cream cheese it outshines many, much more fashionable and expensive, establishments for enjoyment. So this place has been an absolute favourite of mine ever since my first ‘London boyfriend’ took me to Brick Lane on our first date. Make no mistake (as he told me), there are many bagel places on Brick Lane, but this one is the only one worth going to. The one with the white sign, the view into the busy kitchen from the queue, and the most bad tempered (but you gotta love em) serving staff you’ll ever meet. But the crappy decor and service-without-a-smile are easily forgotten when you check out the price board. My favourites are: 70p for a slice of the most delicious, heavy, creamy-and-not-too-sweet cheesecake. 70p for a slab of fudge-y, chocolate brownie. £1.70 for a salmon and cream cheese beigel. £3.70 for a hot salt beef version, crammed in with mustard and pickle. There are other cakes and breads available too. But the above is my usual list. The fact it’s open 24 hours a day makes it the perfect lunch, breakfast, dinner, or 3am snack. The only time I’ll buy anything other food o

...a demonstrably popular, 24 hour bagel bakery with a huge joint of juicy salt beef strategically placed in the window, to lure us all in. How could I have only just noticed this place? Carving the joint of hot salt beef – luring the punters in I joined the rapidly moving queue inside (there was a constant flow of people – a really high turnover) and eyed up the stacks and stacks of trays of fresh bagels (made according to the Jewish tradition of boiling before baking, which makes them seriously spongy). Apparently, they turnover up to 7,000 bagels a day . Filled bagels start from about £1.50, with fillings including cream cheese, salmon and more but after seeing the salt beef in the window there was no other contender. It was served with English mustard @ about £4.00 and was so, so tender...

Had the famous Salted Beef Bagel fron this little shop and it is definitely not overated. Love how the bakery is open 24/7 - I went there with a friend at midnight and could still find a small queue. The queue moved very quickly and soon we had our bagels. The ladies at the service counters were hasty but friendly. For the salted beef, it was tender and tasty, and the mustard (which was optional) definitely added to it. I finished the beef quicker than the bagel and was lightly surprised that the bagel itself was enjoyable as well.

Beigel Bake never fails to deliver no matter your desire or choice of bagel filling at whatever time of the day or night. A plain bagel is 25p. And this gets slightly more interesting with either poppy seeds or sesame seeds. Prices ranges from, depending on your choice of filling, from 90p to GBP1.50. Here, it is also famous for it's salt beef sandwiches. Opened and run by Jewish people, this shop sells kosher meat. Their range of products also extend to sweets, which I presume is not their cash cow product (and I have not tried any at this point). Hot drinks and soups are also available.

All these bagels are prepared at the back of the tight interior. A man-sized tall dough machine busy kneading the bread mixture while tray fulls of steaming bagels are taken out of the boiling water, transferred into the blasting hot oven replacing the bagels that have cooled and are ready to take their place on the shelves or mirror glass display to fulfill the hungry stomachs that patiently queue in a curved shape (inside), and which at times carry on out the door. The work flow in this small interior space was well thought out and in the event has guaranteed a constant flow of customers.

The rapid speed of serving, packing and paying makes me nervous when I vacillate between herring and egg mayonnaise. Between the both of us, our usual purchase is the cream cheese and salmon, pickled herring, egg mayonnaise and when feeling greedy, more plain ones for when we get home.

p/s: best eaten the day it is bought. Goes tough the next day. I buy and freeze them.

The bagels at this restaurant were fabulous. The pastries too are superb. The place is run by women is hair nets and there is a rumor around that Maria Carey was asked to get back in the line when she visited the place.
Well, the place is lovely even if these are just rumors.

A place designed to serve artists and hungry wandering people. The place has varied options from bagels to salman and the most expensive item on their menu is also quite pocket friendly. The place has a queue all the time but is fast moving and definitely worth the super delicious and amazingly priced bagels and pastries! It is a take it outside place, no seating!

I usually arrive late at home and by that time I am pretty much hungry . One day coming back from a party a friend went to this place so I accompanied him . I ordered salt beef bagels and they were very amazing. I was so delighted by the mustard sauce , since that day this place is my sweet spot whenever I am hungry.
Highly recommended guys:)

This place has a lovely charm to itself. Open on all times of the day, be it the wee hours of the morning or the late night midnight time, this restaurant always serves with perfection.
I have been visiting it for almost over 50 years now and I can honestly say that it is a real hidden gem. London is blessed to have a place such as this as it serves the best bagel sprinkled with just the right amount of salt.
It is my all time favourite!

This place is quite an interesting one and serves some really delicious food. The prices are also modest, however, the service is a bit lacking. The meal that I had was quite wholesome and the portions served were quite generous compared to what they charged for it. I would recommend you all to visit this place sometime.

To begin with, the biggest upside of this place is it is open and catering to clients twenty four hours a day and seven days a week. One of the busiest places around the area and definitely worth the bustle. The place is extremely crowded on a sunday morning till mid afternoon but the wait is worth it!

The dull appearance of the place didn't excite me and I didn't expect much but the food was really nice, the bagels were amazing, tried some of the interesting varieties and wasn't disappointed. Everything else was delicious too, would love to come back here again.

A place is an institution for bagels! There are immensely delicious and varied bagels cooked here to perfection each day. Hoverwer. the bagels are prepared with gluten and i have recently given up gluten. If only they can introduce a gluten free menu, this place is a bagel heaven. have also had their Smoked Salmon which is simply amazing!

This place is a lovely surprise. They have the most wonderful dishes on offer, and they do it in the nicest manner possible. The bagels are yummy, as are the sandwiches and pastries. The salesmen are quick and efficient. They are open throughout the evening and are very conveniently located.

This place has its extreme sides. Either they will serve some really delicious bagels or the other time it would be completely stale. Maybe they stock up a lot of bagels who were not sold previously. So its best to come to this place during busy hours. The bagels are extremely delicious!

Ahhhh Beigel Bake, you little beauty. Just the sheer mention of the name brings back happy, if not slightly hazy, memories of an incredible night out. Ask any Londoner about this little cheap eats institution located at the Shoreditch end of Brick Lane and they will undoubtably sing its praises then proceed to tell you a story about how "One time....".

So you ask, what is Beigel Bake? Quite simply, it is a bakery, of the Jewish variety, which over decades has built a reputation for providing visitors with quite possibly the cheapest baked goods in London - and I'm not kidding, this stuff is insanely cheap. I'll admit, it's not particularly gourmet and presentation isn't their priority, but when you can pick up a delicious apple turnover for 70p, I couldn't care less! Give me 20! But above all else, there is one reason you come to Beigel Bake and one only - to get a salt beef bagel.

Served with nothing more than a dollop of mustard and gherkin, the Beigel Bake salt beef bagel has become an icon of this fair city of ours to the point that it's hard to find someone who HASN'T had one. Maybe it's that at first sight, it seems so unassuming but the taste blows your mind or that the bagel is usually associated with a good time, but there seems to be a genuine romance attached to this little bundle of joy.

But then again, when you combine a freshly baked bagel with a generous amount of fresh salt beef and get change for £4, you can't go far wrong. In fact, the only thing wrong is not getting another!

Like every great secret, Beigel Bake is slowly becoming the talk of the town (well of East London at least). Providing great baked goods for low prices, the queue can be seen snaking down Brick Lane even outside of the lunch hour. Now if that's not the sign of a great beigel, I don't know what is.

Far cheaper than the surrounding food stalls, Beigel Bake is famous for its salted beef bagel, but for those that love a classic, you can't beat the smoked salmon and cream cheese. Whilst the queue is often long, the service is extremely efficient. Open 24 hours, Beigel Bake is perhaps the perfect take out night or day.

Why this place is so special for me? I do not know. I am not a fan of bagels but since ever I am in London, I never skipped a week. This place is famous for salted beef bagel but try salmon and cream cheese bagel. It is simple yet beautiful.

It's the bagel shop that never sleeps, NEVER. Need a hit of salted, hot beef bagel or perhaps a double fist of cream cheese salmon goodness at 4, no 5am? This is the place to go. It's also one of the best value eateries in all of London, with an impressively wide selection of filed bagels, cakes, pastries and buns at rock bottom prices.

This, naturally, comes at a price. You'd better be ready with your order when you approach the counter, or you will face the wrath of the shop staff, who have no time for dawdlers. Of course, when you sell a bagel for a little over £1, time is money, so you'd better not waste theirs! There are some real characters here.

There is usually always a lengthy queue, but the aforementioned brusque customer service gets through it very quickly, so don't be afraid to join the queue, read the menu, and prepare yourself for a slice of Brick Lane history - but hurry up, they haven't got all day.

Fresh bagels baked 24/7. Super cheap, super tasty. The salt beef is as good as it gets and the service is quick. They sell bagels in bulk too. An East London institution.

I'm always on the lookout for cheap food in London so going here was obviously a must for me. According to Wikipedia, Beigel Bake produces 7,000 biegels every single day…and I wouldn’t be surprised judging from the amount of biegels I saw stacked around everywhere on the day I went. I felt like I was in a bread factory! It took a little while for me to finally order my food because of the long winding queue which spilled out onto the streets of Brick Lane. The turnover rate was however very fast, and it was interesting to watch the biegels being constructed from scratch.

I would recommend the hot salt beef beigel- the beigel itself has a slightly crunchy exterior and dense interior- but what really steals the show are the generous slabs of salt beef- flavourful and tender, with just the right amount of fat to meat ratio. I especially liked how every bite of the biegel was complemented by the burst of flavour exuding from the meat.

Since the place is opened 24/7 it's a great place to get a bite any time of the day- and who doesn't love a good deal?

Probably the best beigels in the world! This is the perfect spot to have a mid-day or mid-night meal, because it's open 24h. The beigels are always coming from the oven, the fillings are great (tuna, chicken and salmon are our favourits) and it's very cheap. Everytime we are in London, we make every detour necessary to go there. Perfect! :)

Our next stop was a hunt that I frequented when it was my turn to do brunch - Beigel Bake - the oldest beigel shop in London established back in the 1800's (though the sign is a little more recent.

The story goes is that a Jewish family set up camp here to ply their trade and their children upon receiving their inheritance, fell out and one brother ended up opening a rival beigel shop two doors down. There is a huge rivalry between the two shops but this is still the oldest and best.

I have been known to stop past here after a big night out (they're open 24 hours) and just watch the small team hand make and hand cook every single beigel they serve in the shop. And they need to do massive amounts due to the crowds they pull.

They are best known for their hot salt beef beigels - a staple in this part of London. We were given one of these to eat while touring a few of the walls with London's best known street art

These are truly the real deal. Fresh bagels made the same way for years and they are delicious! If you go late at night (with the drinks-on-brick-lane crowd) or at lunch be prepared to stand in a line out the door. Things do move quickly here though so you won't be in for much of a wait.

Try the Smoked Salmon and Cream cheese or the Salt Beef and for dessert, try the Portugese Tart! Yum! Open 24 hours

Downside is there's nowhere to sit in the Deli itself.

If you like beigels, this is heaven, they have a large choice of beagles, and the choice is very hard because they all are very delicious.

The restaurant is in brick lane, a very nice neighbour hood, with a lot of bar and party.
The best part about this restaurant is that, it 's open 24 hours a day, every days of the week.

The only black note is that you can't site in the restaurant, it's only food to take away

This was absolutely delicious and really not overhyped. Definitely a must try when in London. The salt beef is amazing, and goes so well with the pickles and the sharp mustard. The bagel took a backseat for me but that's fine. The queue looks long, but it moves really fast as there are multiple staff members to take your order. Best figure out what you want before you reach the head of the queue!

This is the best salt beef on brick lane! Loved the smell of freshly baked bagels upon entering. The queue looks long but it sure speeds up fast. The staff are super friendly and swift at taking orders. I chose the well known salt beef with mustard. The mustard was way too sharp for me but the salt beef was absolutely delicious. The bagel was fresh and what I expected. Loved seeing the bagels getting baked in the ovens as I queued up. Would come back to try the salt beef again if I’m nearby.

Delicious, authentic food, I tried it multiple times, multiple flavors, the classic one is still the best, followed by the salmon and cream cheese. Traditional bagel is a bit hard to chew, so I prefer the seeded bagel. It's cheap and a classic, can't go wrong with this one. Lines are long during lunch time but it goes pretty quick. Just hang in there.

Simply done with great quality ingredients. Got the salt beef, mustard, pickle seeded bagel and the smoked salmon cream seeded bagel. Firstly, the base meaning the bagel is absolutely delicious, perfect texture. Loved the salt beef and I must the portion is generous. I would have liked a bit more mustard but honestly the whole thing tastes so good. The salmon and cream cheese was very nice also because the bagel is so yummy. Could be more generous for the smoked salmon but I still loved it. Yes there is a queue on weekends but it goes fast and for sure worth the wait. I would highly recommend going there.

Beigel Bake on Brick Lane is a London institution, known for its traditional Jewish-style bagels filled with everything from salt beef and smoked salmon to cream cheese and jam. It's a popular spot for both locals and tourists, and it's open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I recently had the opportunity to try Beigel Bake for myself, and I was very impressed. I ordered the classic salt beef bagel, and it was delicious. The salt beef was tender and flavourful, and the bagel was soft and chewy. The pickles and mustard added a nice sharpness to the sandwich, and overall it was a very satisfying meal. Beigel Bake also has a selection of other bagels and fillings, including cheese and onion, poppy seed, and sesame seed bagels. They also have a variety of cakes and pastries on offer. Overall, I was very impressed with Beigel Bake. The bagels are delicious, and the fillings are all fresh and flavorful. The prices are also very reasonable. If you're looking for a quick and tasty meal, I highly recommend Beigel Bake.

The shop is famous for its salted beef bagel and I am amazed by it generous portions of salted beef though it costs me around £6! I also have a salmon cream cheese one for around £3. Both are good but the beef one is better! There is always a queue but the line goes very fast so just queue and take out your money!

Yummy! The salt beef sandwich was to die for. Such generous portion of beef with a delicious pickle. I had it with French mustard which perfectly complemented the saltiness of the tender melt in your mouth beef. Great value. Sadly there was no room for their amazing cheesecake. Maybe next time...

Second time here - first time I came was in Winter in 2019. Really enjoy the salt beef bagel with mustard and pickles - love how sharp the mustard is. The queue moves quickly (make sure you know what you want before your turn!) They do accept card - was a little afraid they wouldn’t but they do! Sadly there wasn’t minestrone soup today but it was still a good meal.
