Cote Brasserie is situated on Islington Green. On entering, the dining area looks quite big and the furniture is dark wooden. There are booths with cushioned seating. There is a private dining area at the back of the restaurant which is separated by a curtain. Being seated in this back section, the service was a little slow. Quite a few times throughout the evening, we had to go get the staff so that we could order food and drinks. Saying that though, the staff were friendly and polite.
For a chain, not bad at all. This one in Islington particularly is lovely. Great restaurant for lunch. Tasty chicken and a deceng steK frites. Not too expensive. Customers where a mix of locals and family types. There was a crying baby, but that did not take away from the nice experience. We had ordered creamed spinach which they never delivered. Not sure if they knew it was going to be a busy Saturday as there were not enough floor staff. They ran around but still managed to control the room.
Great. A friend introduced me to this restaurant just over a year ago and I've made it a point to eat here each time I visit Camden. The staff are friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed. The food is great quality.
I've been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner (not on the same day) over the course of my last few visits to London and each time I've totally enjoyed myself. The surprising thing also is that it doesn't break the bank either.
I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Camden.
Best French food!. I've never had french food before, but this was amazing! The service was really good, and they served us late, even though we had a 9pm dinner. I ordered the seafood linguine and there was so many mussels and variety on it it was really worth it. Compared to the other linguines I've had before this was perfectly spiced and prepared. The wine and dessert selection was also very good as well and I highly recommend this for anyone looking for affordable fine dining.
We were lucky enough to be invited to the 1 st anniversary party of the Angel branch of Cote a few weeks ago. It was a great fun night and a chance to meet the guys behind this ever growing chain of French Bistro style neighborhood restaurants. At the end of the night we were lucky enough to be given a very generous voucher so we could come back and sample their delicious fare and see how performed on a normal night. So a couple of Saturdays later we rocked up to the same Angel branch to see if we could grab a last minute table. Maybe we should have reserved one before, but luckily we turned up just in time to grab a table straight way, which was just as well as the restaurant was pumping and quite a few couples turned up a few minutes after us. Phew. As we had tried quite a few of the starters at the party a few weeks before, we opted to share the charcuterie board, hey who doesn’t like a good selection of cold cuts. A mixed board of Jambo
What time are you closing tonight?" I asked the waitress casually. "12 am," came the answer, "but luckily I'm not doing the closing." As our lunch progressed into the late afternoon, another shift gradually took over. Cote Brasserie , newly opened along Islington Upper Street, must be the only restaurant running after 6pm on Christmas eve - a relief for those who are staying put in London instead of braving the commute to families hundreds of miles away for Christmas. "KJ is experimenting on the recipe I passed her," YQ murmured wistfully. He was in town again for a couple of days on a work trip. Well, KJ, if you are reading this, he was eying his phone half the time during the Christmas eve lunch we had with him, just in case you messaged him. I recall Wife was quite excited about Cote B

love the lamb chop and basically most of the main courses and the appetizer. haven't tried for the dessert. the ambience is very cozy as well
Cote Brasserie is the place to go for a special night out, with the restaurant overlooking Islington Green.
It has a vast range of options on the menu - not particularly cheap but worth it. The service was excellent and the presentation of the food was beautiful.
The place has a lovely interior and the tables are spread out so you are not on top of each other.
Côte brasserie is a chain French restaurant that I have seen popping up all over London. I came to the Islington branch for a large family gathering and was quite excited due to my love of the French cuisine.
The interior is quite representative of a chain restaurant, with a large number of tables packed into a small venue. That said, it was quite ambient with dim dinner lighting and brown leather booths and sofas as seating.
The waiter who took our drinks order seemed quite rushed and was a little stand offish. However a very charming waiter served us for the rest of the meal, so everyone remained happy. For mains we ordered two salad Niçoise, a steak frites, a vegetable risotto and moules frites. We had one vegetarian in our party and she felt that the vegetarian options were quite limited. Nevertheless, everyone seemed happy with their final choices.
I had the moules frites and found my portion extremely generous and very filling. The mussels were meaty and served in a delicious garlic and cream sauce. The salad Niçoise was also recommended, served with a tender tuna steak as opposed to tinned tuna.
For desert we had two creme caramels, a chocolate mousse, a tarte citron and a chocolate fondant. The chocolate mousse was drastically larger than the other deserts and perhaps a little too filling after a large meal but altogether tasty.
A small, intimate place, perfect for a small gathering of uni friends to celebrate the end of term and the end of a decade! Lovely good, especially the pate starter and the haddock. We had excellent service and they were very accommodating when we needed a longer slot and moved us to another table. Great location, would recommend.
It's a Tuesday afternoon, its quiet the environment is relaxing and the staff & service was excellent
The lunch time special is great value. The food was very good and the green salad was delicious my compliments to the chef. Will I come back... Yes
The happy hour deal was nice. I found the appetizer very good, while the main course, a steak, was served with nothing more than fries, no vegetables. However, the food was tasty and for that price I would not date to complain.
Really great service and good food, as part of their breakfast deal, which is good value for money, too.
Love this French restaurant, cozy and kid friendly atmosphere. Good choice of set course menu lunches & kids.
Great service and amazing food. Very quick in serving. I highly recommend this place. I'll come back for sure. :) having a delicious filet again
Good food, quality service and reasonable price 👍 would visit again!
A lovely place for a spot of brunch. Their fresh orange juice is divine and service was impeccable! Would definitely visit again
I've been here 4 times, and I was satisfied with food quality and service. Once I ordered salmon, and it was really raw. I told manager about it, she apologised, brought me another one salmon and a dessert for free.
Cons - sometimes you have to wait for waiter.
Pros - the food is tasty, cheap and portions are really big. Recommend for lunch or a cup of tea.
Went for dinner and did not have a booking. They were able to accommodate us and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. The waiter who served us was polite but was not prompt in taking our drinks order. We then ordered our starters and main at the same time. The starters came quickly but there was a long delay in our mains coming. We prompted the waiter that we had been waiting a long time and he assured us it was coming around 10 mins after this the food came and was very enjoyable. Overall a good restaurant but could do with some slight improvement.
fabulous as always. Cote is my favourite restaurant - Charlotte Street and Islington Green are my regular haunts. Always excellent well cooked food and super friendly staff. I went last night to celebrate my birthday and the staff brought me a cake with a candle, a glass of fizz and sang Happy Birthday to me! Lovely!
Had lunch here today and the food was great, but the real highlight was the impeccable service. Best service I've received in a restaurant in a very long time! Dessert wine was also delicious.
Always an excellent experience. Food was delicious on two visits. Pea and mint soup was yummy and piquant chicken tender and tasty. The specials are always good value. Chocolate pot a nice treat!
Went there for dinner with my girlfriend a few days before Christmas, very nice atmosphere, staff were courteous and service was prompt. We had their special Christmas menu which was 3 courses for £35, which looked like a fairly typical price for a 3 course meal there not including drinks. The food was well presented and very tasty. Only deducted one star because one of the desserts was slightly overcooked and a bit chewey towards the edges. But everything else was superb, would reccommend.
