Usually I am very selective when it comes to Asian restaurants. Despite it is a small place, it has a great cosy ambience, and huge and diverse menu. It is a clean and cosy restaurant with warm hospitality...
The taste is good and as i am indonesian it feels like home
Delightful dishes on a lovely night in London!
We ordered "Tahu Telor", "Seabass Sambal Merah", "Kangkung Belacan", and "Kambing Masak Pedas".
Thank you for the amazing taste of home! đđ
Highly recommended peeps!
You ask - you get! After the foodie side to my blog went by the wayside just a tad as the fitness reviews took over, I've been receiving numerous in-mails from you guys asking for them to return. So here we are - starting off with Best Indonesian in Central London, Bali BaliâŠ. Bali Bali, London. The nearest you can get to Indonesia, without the bother of getting on an aeroplane.
I rarely like indonesian food when I try it in Europe because it does not taste Indonesia, however I would say this place really taste nice. I had perkedel and gado-gado and after being away from Indonesia for 2 years that tasted pretty awesome! Nice that they also had Bintangs on the menu ;)
I am a fan of Nasi Goreng and go to Malay/Indonesian restuarants to have the same. Tried Bali Bali once for this reason but found the Nasi Goreng to be average, nothing exceptional.
Bali Bali serves real Authe.... Bali Bali serves real
Authentic Indonesian food. We can't stop going there. Great food, great service and good pricing.
Great food with good service. I loved my visit to Bali Bali. We went and a monday night and had the whole place to ourselves so as you would expect the service was fantastic. They were happy to suggest dishes and every plate was more tasty than the last! Well worth a visit.
An all time favourite of the Blood Brothers band, we've been enjoying the great food and warm welcome here for over 20 years!
Dodgy décor, delicious food. I went with some friends recently on the basis of a recommendation. Upon arrival, the dodgy décor caused me some concern, but the food more than made up for that!
We ate sate and roti for starters, and shared nasi goreng, beef rendang and a vegetable dish for the main course.
The food is great quality, and the service is attentive without being overbearing. Dinner for three, including a bottle of wine was ÂŁ55.
Deceptively delicious, forget about looks and focus on the food. We were blown away by our meals, and enjoyed the veggie options heartily!
Indonesian food registers high on my food craving scales and when I lived in the area, a few years ago, we used to visit Bali Bali  often. Many years have passed since we last ate there and we were very curious to know how theyâve faired since our last visit (3 or 4 years ago).  Bali Bali: Beef patties (8.5/10) Bali Bali: Beef patties (8.5/10)  Bali Bali  is an inconspicuous establishment in the West End and will not be particularly well known among trend-fickle foodies. However, for those who love Indonesian and Malay cuisine, Bali Bali  offers an great opportunity to indulge in some proper South East Asian cuisine at a very decent price.  Bali Bali: Soto ayam (8.5/10) Bali Bali: Soto ayam (8.5/10) Bali Bali: Fried chicken wings (8.5/10)  The feel of Bali Bali  is that of a traditional Indonesian restaurant. The interior may not be as picturesque as for instance Champor Champor , but still feels very authentic and cosy. When we visited Bali Bali  we tried the following dishes
- Friendly service
- Food served promptly
- Authenticly flavoured
- Not one dish disappointed
- Must order a Roti Canai
- Only moderately sized but a warm hug welcomes you with the aromas inside.
Loved the food and the people there, loved took friends there for my birthday and food and service was amazing!
It tasted healthy aswell. Cannot wait to go back!

A bit old-fashioned style, but good food and prices.
Bali Bali was recommended to me by my Indonesian office assistant. The service was excellent and the staff were most helpful in making recommendations from the menu. We had a set price menu and the variety of food was impressive. My only disappointment was the chicken as it had the texture of reconstituted chicken. Otherwise I will be back again. I would still recommend this restaurant to my friends
Went to this place several times. Overall, the food was decent. We tried beef martabak, chicken semur, char kway teow, corn fritter, sea bass balado. I personally liked their chicken semur with rice. It had a unique and rich flavour, which was slightly different compared to semur back home in Indonesia, but still comforting (a bit like ayam saus mentega). A five-star dish!
Very pleasant to eat.
The atmosphere and service were ok.
One of halal food options at Soho.
Came to Bali2 with colleagues who never tried Indonesian food before. They love the rendang, ordered it two times :)
My favorite is the fried chicken with garlic and sambal teri, the spice is just good hot.
Not too pricey :)
Taste: 4/5
Price: 5/5
Location: 4/5
Bali Bali provides more diverse options than your âtypicalâ Indonesian restaurant. We ordered some Semur Daging, Soto Ayam, and Char Kwaytiau.
Everything was delicious, especially the Semur Daging. I find it harder to stumble upon this particular dish considering other restaurants would generally just serve a more common Indonesian dish such as Nasi Goreng. As an Indonesian, I can vouch that the dishes we tried are authentic.
Was really happy with finding and trying out this restaurant and will most definitely be coming back to try more of the menu.
Every time I come to London, I made a point of coming here. It's really hard to get Beef Rendang in Scotland (especially authentic, spicy stuff) and Bali Bali does it so well! The Chicken Satay is also absolutely fantastic. It's just as good as a brilliant place I found in Yogyakarta years ago. Love, love, love it here.
I love this place, the chicken with green chili was phenomenal and authentic. We also ordered kangkung (savoury sauted water spinach).
I recommend this restaurant if you visit london. So good.
Been going here regularly since 2018, the food is great, prices are great, service is great.
If your looking for authentic Balinese cuisine then this is the place for you.
Definitely recommend the Nasi Goreng, a classic. But it was my first time trying the tahu telur and it was delicious, definitely recommend!
Canât wait to come back!
recently visited Bali Bali, an Indonesian restaurant located in London. The location was ideal and the staff were extremely friendly. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed.
The food was delicious and the flavors were authentic. The dishes were prepared with care and attention to detail. The prices were reasonable and I found the value for money to be excellent. I would highly recommend Bali Bali to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
Great and tender beef rendang, could be spicier and nasi lemak great flavour.
Nice vegetarian options. Expensive for portion but expected for London! đđđ nice staff
Small Indonesian restaurant with also vegetarian and vegan dishes. The restaurant indoor seating is limited and we were happy to have reserved our table well in advance. There was a pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant. The staff is fast and efficient taking orders and serving us. We ordered various delicious vegetarian dishes some of them with yummy peanut sauce. The portions are a little too small in our opinion, but if you also take starters and dessert, than it should be fine.
I took my husband here for his birthday, our first time there. Our waiter was amazing, recommended the spicy set meal. The food tasted superb, very fresh and plentiful, had to take the satay home as totally full! They even sang happy birthday to my husband and brought a sweet with a candle đŻ! We will definitely go back next time we are in London!
Absolutely Amazing!! Recommend there platter as it has a wide range of dishes to try and work your pallet. If I can give a 10 star for the food I would.
First time trying the full courses of Malaysian cuisine and it absolutely rocked my expectations. Every single dishes has unique flavors and tastes with different level of spiceness. By visiting here made me think to visit other Malaysian restaurants in US.
Food had right spice levels and cooked fresh. Pictured: beef rendang, roti canai, mee goreng noodles
One of the few truly authentic Indonesian restaurants in LondonâŠ! The place is cute and the service was quick and friendly. Everything we ordered was delicious- especially the Tahu Telur! Portion size was ample in my opinion!
Been going here for years, took my bf here for his birthday awhile back, was his first time trying Indonesian food was great as usual. The owners are friendly and accommodating. my bf is gluten intolerant and they had gluten free options

Absolutely amazing food really, never tried Indonesian food before but will definitely be eating more of it after today. Portions good, not excessive but definitely not too little either. And even more impressive was the price; the value for money on the lunch menu was exceptional. Highly recommend!
a humble establishment in a popular area of london.
stopped by on a weekday at 12:30 for lunch and the restaurant had plenty of space. service was quick. we asked for the lunch menu which is an excellent deal. i got the vegetable soup as a starter but i think they gave me prawn soup instead. spicier and saltier than i expected.
the kari ayam was wonderful for a cold day. it's not too spicy but still warming and rich in flavor. portions are a bit lacking in vegetables.
for the price point though, its a definite to-go
Food was absolutely delicious. All 4 in the group went 'hmmn yummy' with every bite.Loved the spice.
Busy restaurant, glad we booked ahead.
The owner even had time for us at the end, waitress was excellent as well - she gave us nice recommendations.
