Scalini is a super warm Italian fine dine space in Knightsbridge. I went here with my friends for lunch. The staff is super sweet and welcoming. The food is authentic and you are in for an experience.
Upon seating we were served bruschetta, tomatoes, fresh olives and cheese. We opted for the famous italian wine - Nipozzana 2014 . It was a red wine which was quite flavourful.
Coming to food, i had the in-house spaciality lovster spaghetti. It was super yummy and i loved it.
I also tried the pasta which had green and white noodles with mushrooms, asparagus and cheese. It was super super rich.
We had the Salmon con Gamberetti which had a portion of fresh fish, grilled to perfection and drizzled with lemon butter and shrimps. It came with a side of veggies.
The food was mind blowing.
The best Italian family style restaurant in London - the best crowd, people watching and upper scale clientele. The food is amazing, real authentic Italian prepared just perfect. Great for lunches and dinners, perfect sport for weekend brunches. The staff is very friendly, very good service. When in London I always go back.

When in London and you want fine Italian cuisine this is the spot. In peak holiday season make sure you book in advance, otherwise reservations can be tricky. Food is consistent, and the great news is a branch has opened at the Four Season Dubai, so no need to reminisce. Make sure you order heir signature Lobster Linguine ❤️ and tiramisu Yum
Absolutely in love with this place! The setting and ambiance are perfect and the staff are very so friendly- specifically Joseph- he is an outstanding character! The food is excellent, must try the lobster spaghetti which is aldente. The entree olives are exceptional! You can’t visit London without visiting scalini!
The best Italian I've ever had. I recommend everything photographed in the pictures below and would recommend the place to anyone in London. Yum yum yum.
Located in very prime neighborhood. The staff were very helpful. Service were excellent. Food is very delicious and high quality. We had fried calamari, scalini salad, grilled sea bass, white and green spaghetti. Highly recommended place and dishes

Very good and authentic Italian Restaurant in London! They have very special dishes such as the stuffed zucchini, the crab avocado and of course the lobster pasta! They have a variety of great wines as well. The staff is lovely!
Who doesn’t love date night? Personally, for me, nothing beats splitting a good bottle of wine and sharing an indulgent meal with a loved one. Scalini is somewhere that Michael & visited with family friends a few years ago, and were totally blown away by, so it only seemed right that we return and enjoy it just the two of us.
Ultimate dining experience! authentic Italian flavors, wonderful atmosphere! When we visited the place was so packed we had to wait at a very cute bar on the top floor. The food is downright the best Italian food I've ever had. I loved it so much I came 3 days in a row and tried many many things on the menu! I just couldn't have enough! My fav dish was the spaghetti a la pescatora! It is so cozy and wonderful! I felt like I was at home and in a movie! They have the most entertaining manager! He just loves the place and is so passionate about it. There is a wall with all the celebrities who have been there. From woody Allen to Celine Dione, you feel like ur a celebrity just by being there. And last but not least there is a game, you light a small air ballon made of fine paper and if it reaches the ceiling before it burns out or falls your bill becomes on the house! Lovely place that will always have a place in my heart!

Really very good Italian in London. Even though it's upmarket, you get proper sized portions and have all the classic dishes you want to see on an Italian menu, not all weird dishes!

Very good but very LOUD!. Excellent food (recommend Lobster Pasta) but always very loud at Lunch. Not where you would go for a quiet chat over lunch. That being said, it always has a good energetic buzz.
Great Italian Restaurant. I've eaten here twice now and it may be the best Italian food I've ever eaten. Excellent service, and excellent food. I recommend the Dover sole and was just introduced to a lobster linguine that was the best! It's not on the menu, you just have to ask for it. Also, the ribs are a great appetizer. I've read the other reviews here, and yes, the restaurant is a little "loud", but it's an Italian restaurant, (with a great atmosphere and amazing food).

I love Scalini, and have been going there for years. I can’t remember when I first went to Scalini, it was probably my friend Baiba who showed me this place, but I have been going there for about 8 years now, and they always deliver a great Italian meal in a very cosy and traditional Italian atmosphere. Scalini is located in between Knightsbridge and South Kensington and it is a welcoming blue building from the outside. Once you go inside Scalini has a few rooms, 2 on the ground floor and one upstairs, but they fill up the first floor before they would move you upstairs, and downstairs is where you really want to sit. The rooms downstairs are bright and tables are located quite close together, which creates a chatter background noise when you eat your meal, which is very pleasant. The best italian hands down! Such a classic joint with history! Perfect! Portions are huge and value is incredible! The scalini salad is amaaaaazing, its not on the menu but can be requested! The lobster spaghetti is the dish you will see circling the entire restaurant - simply divine, also not on the menu. The veal milanese is delightful. Seabass and sole are always fresh and flavoursome.

Warm friendly staff make you experience their rich history through their conversation as well as their food. Great ambience with a cosy atmosphere. Perfect to either bring someone special with or for a family outing.

Beautiful food and throughly attentive service. Amazingly warm welcome like they have known you for years and a very enjoyable evening. A perfect last night for myself and my fiance in London. Sea bass and calamari were excellent as was the lobster pasta.

There was a time when you couldn't get a table in Scalinis.. just shows how quiet London is this year. Still was fairly busy in here as the food is fantastic, thus will always be a top 5 Italian restaurant of London!

Nothing special but can say that the food is Good. Rocco and Massimo are friendly and accommodating. Its a bit on the dated side and therefore lacks ambience.
An unexpected find on Walton street in Knightsbridge. Beautiful Italian restaurant with a family flare. All the dishes were absolutely delicious. Generous portions and honest food. I would recommend the truffled scallops, just amazing. We were so full. Thank you for a beautiful meal. Wished I discovered you sooner.
Excellent! Old school staff, old school Italian menu, great wine list. The menu has some surprisingly 1980s classics - prosciutto and melon anyone? (Its’s good, try it!) Surprisingly affordable if you stay away from the wine menu - but they do half bottles. Perfect venue for a relaxed Sunday lunch. It’s busy, so you’ll need to book.
Very nice food and ambiance. Impeccable seafood risotto. Melanzane has some room to improve.
TL;DR Went there for lunch, ok with coming back, but will check out other options first.

You need to book a table in advance. The lobster pasta was amazing they divided it to 2 plates. And tried the veal nodino with butter and rosemary it was delicious definitely will order it again.
Every time I visit London I try my best to have dinner at Scalini. I think it is one of the best Italian Restaurants there. Spaghetti with Lobster 🦞, calamari, special cocktails shrimp 🍤 was my order and was absolutely delicious 🤤. My only comment is the working hours quite short
