We went there for lunch after an exhausting 12 hr travel. The food was authentic and flavour was in point. I loved the Chicken Karahi and naan.
Simple and elegant. Indian food cooked just like it would be back home. Black dal,the nans, prawn biryani ,and the prawn curry. the prawn biryani most difficult to handle because of chances of prawns getting overcooked the freshness brought on by the whiff of mint and then delicately though adequately spiced taste was great. prawn curry all transported me back to india.
Nice use of masala with a hint of sweetness gave it a unique taste.
Its one of those restaurants in London which is not serving Indian/Pakistani cuisine modified according to western tastes or like the cheap to go brick lane bengali touch curries. I just happen to walk in after a heavy shopping day as i had to take the bus from just outside the restaurant door. Kadhai ghosht was really well cooked. Rest everything else was tried by my parents and they had positive reviews about it. A very family restaurant type of vibe this place has. Its not as great as compared to the next door neighbour Salt bar, but its good enough. Unfortunately don't have any pictures as phone was not charged.
Pakhtoon was an accidental discovery. We were not planning to eat here. Just on our way home after an exhaustive shopping at Oxford Street, we found out this decent looking Indian Restaurant and took and impromptu decision to have our dinner there.
My overall experience is great.
Ambiance :: Awesome
Food Taste :: Very nice. Almost felt like eating at a restaurant in India.
Cost :: A bit on the higher side.
Drinks :: I do not think, I saw any drink option there. Not sure.
Hospitality :: Very nice.
We ordered Biriyani over there as we do not want to take chance in a new restaurant. But the biriyani was so good, we tempted to order some kebabs and some desert. Kebabs I would say good, not something overwhelming but decent. Desert just floored me. The Gajar Halwa was just out of the world.
Service could be better. Under staffed even for a small restaurant. But the signature dal was really good ! Will be back again to try the non veg menu

Food is very good. I wouldn't complain about anythin else if the food is this good. A bit pricy. But given the location and taste.. I would not complain. Ordered chicken and mutton biriyani. Both were good. Meat was soft and fell apart while eating. That is perfection. The chef has his story on the first page of the menu which sounds inspired. The spices and taste were right. Nice little place with few tables that may seem crowded. There s no parking here.
We just loved the food it was as per the Indian taste, perfect ingredients and spices. After shopping and site seeing this is one of the bet places in marble arch where you can have lunch or dinner. Items which we tried and were exceptional are
Biryani (lamb and chicken)
Butter chicken - my kids loved that
Chicken tikka
Mutton seekh
In breads we tried Nan and that had the perfect taste of the clay oven.
I'll give them 5 🌟
Small, unassuming venue with a simplistic setup. The flavours of the food are what rally distinguish this from the rest. Unpretentious, clean flavours, food cooked to perfection. We had he dal tadka which was just like home, the jumbo tandoori prawns which were mighty jumbo and the fish Amritsari (i think). Great flavours and value for money. This is great, honest Indian food and I will be back for sure.
Good was wonderful as well as the service. Waiter mistakenly brought a biryani rather than nan. Quickly fixed the error and refused to charge us for either. The biryani ended up being my favorite.
One of the best indian food in London. Chicken dum briyani is awesome. In starters we had chicken tantoori and seek kabab which taste amazing. Thanks chef Iqbal for wonderful hospitality. Visit you soon.
Centrally located, Pakhtoon restaurant is an absolute delight for Indian food lovers. Small restaurant with great ambience. Courteous and attentive staff, quick service. My husband and I loved each and every food platter we tried. Butter chicken, chicken biryani, dal tadka, chicken tandoori are some of the must try food item's. Pakhtoon is definitely must visit restaurant for Indian cuisine.
Like how the food isn't artificial tasting like many Indian restaurants in London. It is more on the authentic side and comes closer to Pakistani cusine rather than indian. The Briyani tasted good but the paneer tikkas were bland.
Excellent food excellent service Ikram khan very generous guy
Great ambiance, very friendly staff, the food is good, it is a little snug with all the tables, lucky for us the ones next to us were unoccupied
