I came here a couple of times during my trip to London. And I loved it! I felt like in Grease while drinking their amazing milkshakes and eating their fantastic food. You need to visit this place ♥️
I loved this place! Besides the amazing decor, the food was delicious and really quick! Got the sort of chicken fingers and they were just mind blowing!
Located near Aldgate East Station, Big Moe's is a famous American diner in London. Milkshakes are a must have here and the burgers are extremely good too. Milkshakes with ice creams across flavours are lip smacking. The hotdog and the sides were Eh. Reggae music with an elaborate decor can sure take you back in time. Big Moe’s serves great ice creams too. The staff is courteous too.
Great diner (American style). The waiter was always friendly. A lot of great food and big variety. Don't look too much on calories when you go there. But it is quite cheap for very good food and service. Underground station is right next to it. So it is perfect for a small stop.
We went there for my birthday lunch, my sisters and I went all out to order their amazing platter of onions rings, bbq wings, grilled mushrooms with cheese, garlic bread... ok it’s a lot! Then the steaks with beautiful mashed potatoes with garlic Layers with cheese on top ( had me thinking is this mac and cheese) and a mushroom sauce! The drinks were ok wouldn’t say amazing except the raspberry soda was nice wouldn’t go for the strawberry or mango. Seriously did not have any room for dessert which was disappointing as it all looked amazing! Then service was good/ very clean and spacious. Was my first time there would happily go back with my girls.
Amazing food in a wonderful environment with very friendly and pleasant staff.
All meat is halal and there are plenty of vegan options.
There are so many meals to choose from and they are all so tasty and a great experience including appetizers.
The dining experience is complemented with breathtaking American diner decor and comfortable and private booth seating.
There is even a special classic American car themed booth.
The milkshakes are so delicious and frothy.
I can't wait to revisit as Big Mo's it is a must if you have not been.
I have to add that the toilets are immaculate.
Great food that is really good value and not overpriced whatsoever. You will not be disappointed.
I wish this place delivered!!!
5 stars well deserved!!!

Overall a good experience. Friendly staff, good food and a nice ambience. Texas burger was pretty standard, like your average crispy chicken burger, but the buffalo burger had a nice tangy kick to it. Definitely opt for cheese on your fries. Jalapeno bombers weren't as spicy as I'd hoped but not bad either, and the mozarella bites were pretty much as expected.
I had a great time with a buddy in this restaurant today; the food was amazing, if a little oily, and the milkshake was delicious. The decor was wonderful, and I would highly suggest this establishment.
Love the old American theme at this restaurant. It’s unique and I’ve not seen it anywhere else. Food is tasty but overpriced. The beef patties are handmade in the store which is nice. However, they don’t have cheese in there burgers! Staff need to be trained in taking orders as they forgot to send our drinks. Limited choice of desserts available here too, which we didn’t try as there is a Urban Chocolatier nearby. HMC Approved.
Was never a fan of the branch in Beckton so never made the effort to visit this branch in aldgate, However I did visit and surprise to say that the food was one of the best around, the rib eye steak without a doubt best steak I've had in a very long time, cooked to perfection. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely visit again for the food.
Excellent customer service, very tasty food and generally a great experience.
We have been to the one at Beckton a few years back, but have since had our little boy who is 1 going on 2 and decided to head to the other BMD this time. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to our son and we felt at ease and comfortable throughout the whole duration of our visit. The food we ordered came out in quick timing and was hot and fresh and tasty…at a reasonable price too. We love the American style Diner and everything was on point. We even were lucky enough to sit in the Cadillac too which was a bonus and our little boy loved it.
Defo recommend a visit if you love an American breakfast and 1950’s theme diner.
I really enjoyed the food today it was yummy, however the service was very slow and they forgot to get us our drinks until the end of breakfast, I really enjoyed the lotus biscuit cheesecake and was craving it since early this morning I’d recommend it but I was kinda sad when the waiters weren’t on roller skates
Took my daughter for her 8th birthday party today with her little buddies. They had a fantastic time. The staff went above and beyond. With sparkling candles, sing songs balloons and a big moes gift! much more than I expected. Can’t thank the staff enough for making the lunch so so special
This is joint in the style of an American diner. The burgers are tasty with nice sauces. Fries taste very fresh, with skin on. Onion rings have lovely cajun spice to them. Piri Piri chicken was soft and tasty and a good sized portion. Prices are a little high but it is central London so to be expected. We got to sit in the car right in the centre of the restaurant which was pretty cool. This place is halal but doesn't advertise it like the Newham branch does. No alcohol served. Only let down was ice cream sundae which didn't have great flavour, we got a free one for valentines day so weren't fussed over this. It was a bit fake tasting. Overall though nice filling food. Another halal burger joint. Maybe though it's time for a bit more of an innovative take on the halal burger.
Nice themed restaurant with classic American dishes and nice variety for shakes and floats. Service is fairly quick for smaller parties, friendly and chatty staffs. Seatings have signs of wear and the bathroom was a little stuffy - it is located on the 1st floor so may be difficult to accessed for less mobile customers.
Parking can be tricky around this area but if you are using public transport, it is very easy to reach from Aldgate or from major bus routes - 205, 25, 15 etc
