Went here for my birthday brunch on a Sunday. Totally packed, and the food explains why! Incredible pancakes. Delicious full veggie breakfast. Great service and outdoor seating. Would recommend booking on weekends as it gets really crowded. Will definitely be back for more!

We couldn’t keep our hands away from this one. This is a taco which has Lal Maas filling in it & it is too good to be true. Try insisting on lesser amount of mayo as that’ll bring out the flavor of the meat. If you’re a fan of the Rajasthan Royals, this is for you!

We went for brunch on a Sunday after a friend's recommendation. On a very cold Winter day, the best we were offered was a table on the outdoors tent at the back of the restaurant. Despite their efforts to make it bearable, it was too cold and humid and we ended up asking to wait for a table inside whilst we were expecting for the food. This took over half an hour, proving that the service is rather slow, which is comprehensible given how busy it was. The food was savoury (both the vegetarian eggs and the pancake) which made the visit worthwhile, however on my next visit I will ensure I get a table booked in advance.

We were out on a Monday night so we rather expected any restaurant to be quiet however we were a group and we would make our own atmosphere so no matter for us.
The staff were welcoming, attentive and friendly at all times. Thanks so much for making our evening special!. Great food - be prepared for a limited menu. Best to be fab at a few dishes than too many and not so good.
Thorughly enjoyed the experience ..
NEARLY forgot - This is a PET FRIENDLY RESTAURANT. Great.

Bankside is one of those areas of London that has blossomed over recent years.  It’s close to foodie Borough Market and a stone’s throw from the river.  Within a few hundred yards you’ll find trendy bars and restaurants popping up.  The Table has been around for a while but their food menu has been enhanced with a creative and comprehensive cocktail list.  What better opportunity to go along and try a couple of cocktails, enjoy some food and generally chill out.

A casual air and a commitment to seasonal and sustainable food made my meal at The Table Café a pleasant night out. Word is weekend brunch is the preferred time to visit Table, but I was pleased with my Friday evening dinner. I very much enjoyed my grilled buttermilk chicken burger (free-range chicken breast with tomato, Scotch bonnet pepper sauce, sour cream and avocado sauce, £14) served with properly crispy chips. And I liked the emphasis on responsibly produced and largely British fare – a lot – and how that emphasis extended to the drinks.

Dropped by for breakfast on our last day around London. The cafe is nice and modern, very comfortable. The staff is attentive as well which is always nice, you don't have to wait forever for them.

We ordered the English Breakfast and the Eggs Royale, and I definitely liked the Eggs Royale with the smoked salmon. Downside is it really could've been bigger, there wasn't enough food to justify the price in my opinion. The English Breakfast is hard to do wrong, it was nice. Don't get the grapefruit juice unless you like bitter drinks ;)

The Table is a great place to go for brunch/lunch around Southwark. It is always packed during the weekend, so I would recommend booking in advance. If you like pancakes, I highly recommend trying the Buttermilk pancakes with crispy bacon, caramelised banana and maple syrup - The pancakes are massive and so damn good! I also highly recommend the 'Morning Glory' smoothie. I would definitely recommend The Table for brunch/lunch, I can assure you that you won't be disappointed!

Trying to get to the Tate, I crossed The Table and checked out its reviews. Decided to have a bite before I explored the art scene.

Friendly servers immediately seated me and offered me water. I ordered the chargrilled chicken with avocado and sour cream burger and a cappuccino.

The burger brioche bun was just perfect. Chicken was well done and the whole combination of flavours worked very well. It came with a side of sweet potato fries which I wiped out clean.

Would definitely go back and try their other dishes.

We went to The Table Cafe on Southwark Street to make the most of their London marathon special – serving their renowned brunch menu in the evening. As I’ve mentioned before, I may well be the world’s biggest fan of breakfast for dinner, so I was immediately a very happy bunny. The best thing about The Table Cafe’s brunch menu is it is so much more expansive than the standard avocado, egg and sourdough offerings of most places in London. From full breakfasts and burgers to pancakes and waffles, there is a brunch dish to suit every whim, with a brilliant mix of savoury and sweet options.

Okay so anywhere that has al fresco seating available on a sunny day is already going to get a three star head start, but don't let that (literally) outshine my review of the food.

I had a dreaded appointment with the dentist the following day so I was going to at least pretend to be disciplined and forego the sweet treats, but the pancakes on the table next to me were enough to make me consider dentures. When our savoury dishes arrived though I was actually quite smug about this decision, the moment I popped my poached egg open and its golden yolk oozed into the pool of hollandaise, aside two fluffy sweetcorn fritters which were almost billowy like Yorkshire puddings.

My friend ordered the veggie breakfast with halloumi (an improvement to any dish really). Her appetite was pretty measly after a pretty traumatic week, but I didn't have the guts to scrounge her leftovers before the (loveliest) waiters took our plates away - which was no ay a hurried affair at all.

All in all, an absolute delight.

Understated and cosy, but located on the main road opposite the Tate Modern is The Table Café. We ducked into here because it was rainy, and was pleasantly surprised to find the place soothing and ambient despite the Friday lunch hour rush. It boasts an all day dining menu (waffles and pancakes too!) which is a plus, but also caters to lunch and bigger appetites...

The only downside is that Borough market is 3 mins away, and the table is double the price for similar styled food; I can't fault them for their heritage style cut chips though... Crispy yet soft at the same time. My pulled pork burger was slightly over salted, and the bottom bun was soaked completely with the sauce, making it harder to eat with the juices a bit over empowering and messy to eat!

The strawberry milkshake was a big hit - none of the fake flavoring in other burger chains, but had a very clean and filling taste of the strawberries and wasn't too milky either. My only concern was that it was a bit small for the price, given you could get much bigger ones for the same value elsewhere.

Nonetheless, the portions are a good size and the waiters are friendly. Conveniently located and adding to the wide array of lunch hangouts in london bridge, it's worth a visit on the weekend and on Tuesday night when they have jazz nights.

High expectations, poor service. I'd heard good things about The Table so expectations were high. The food was really good, but service was lacking that night. I had to ask for the wine list at the start, and overall was kept waiting/couldn't get the attention of staff to order. Maybe they were short staffed, but after more than 20 minutes of not receiving dessert, we had to go so we cancelled dessert and asked for the bill. We then had to ask for it another 2 times.

Apparently they regularly have a live band playing, and while I like the concept, it didn't seem suited to the venue and in my opinion the music was too loud in an intimate space like The Table. We saw two tables sitting near the band asked to be moved further away. Thankfully we had to leave anyway.

I'll definitely give it another chance since I live locally and I would like to see the best side of this place, but this time it was a let down and overall I didn't enjoy the experience.

Great modern café with good quality food and atmosphere. My breakfasting partner had eggs royale (2 perfectly poached eggs with smoked salmon on an english muffin with hollandaise sauce) whilst I had scrambled eggs on toast with streaky bacon. The eggs were light and creamy, bacon crispy and salty and the toast came with lashings of butter. Good value at the price (£10 per head including a coffee and a smoothie) and in a handy location for activities in and around London Bridge/Borough/Southwark. It does get busy and with their no bookings policy you may wait a while before a table comes free, but it is worthwhile.

What if I told you that there's a new restaurant opened up in Southwark, amidst the chain bars and office blocks in this deeply unpromising part of town, that was serving some of the best Italian food in London? Sounds unlikely, and yet there we were on Friday evening enjoying dish after dish of such delicate, heart-warming quality that I can barely remember having better at hallowed temples of New Wave Italian like Zucca or Trullo. For now, the Table has a profile as low-key as its rather flat name, but if there's one place in town destined to at least match if not eclipse the success of its rivals, it's this one. First things first, though, and I should mention that I was invited to the Table by their PR people, and so didn't pay for any of it. I know this is of supreme unimportance to most of you, but it is also of extreme importance to some of you, so consider this my Full Disclosure. But my invitation, and this post, is an example of restaurant PR done right - I would never have e

What a great find! Stopped by this afternoon for brunch after a friend suggested it. The servers were incredibly welcoming and very attentive. They all had smiles for their diners which is always nice.
The food didn't take long at all and it looked incredibly appetizing, I mean i struggled to take pics 'cos i wanted to do was tuck in.  I ordered the Smokey Mountain Mushroom Burger and it didn't disappoint. Imagine biting through a crunchy outer crust of the crisp outer bun into it's soft and sweet inside. As your mouth closes in, your teeth begin to sink into the smokey mushrooms covered in a delicious sauce. The sweet and smokey flavours were cut through by the heat from the gherkins.

mmmmmhhh it was delicious.

Best brunch in London?? To be fair, I would need to try every brunch in London to make this opinion, however I really love this place.

Visiting on a Saturday with David Miller. Firstly, the Bloody Marys were a perfect hangover cure.

Then a scout through the menu with choices like eggs benedict, smoked salmon, veggie breakfast.... I chose the full English breakfast and Dave went for 'the stack'.

The food is great here, but for me that is just half the story. The owner Shaun and he's team have hospitality on point!!! Always making sure every customer is 100% satisfied before they leave, that for me is hospitality.

I can never recommend this place enough. A 5/10 minute walk from London Bridge and superb value for money.

Went here for brunch on a Saturday morning. Perfect atmosphere in terms having the right balance between being busy, but not so much that it's noisy and distracting. They serve  a fantastic cappuccino. Also, if you're heading here you have to give the Waffles and berries. It's difficult in London to find a place that does good waffles. This is definitely one of the better breakfast/brunch places to eat in London. The floor plan is very open and luxurious which helped add to the experience. Consider giving this a go.

A great place to have your brunch at. Situated at the South Bank, The table cafe is usually quite busy and we had to call up to book a table.

The lady we spoke to was quite helpful and also explained the easiest way to get to the cafe. I ordered a stack which is served only in weekends-a combination of eggs, beans on roast bread and a special sauce-an incredible delicacy which should be definitely tasted. It was quite affordable as well-we paid around £25 plus drinks for two people.

Put the Table Cafe on you "must go" list as it is worth the visit!

Fantastic morning.
The place is located in South Bank and it is often quite busy, so better to book a table in advance. It is good to bring family and friends.

I ordered a typical English Breakfast with bacon, eggs, etc.. and some tea. Everything was very delicious and juicy and I would suggest the place if you are craving the taste of some British Cuisine. The staff is quick and friendly. Totally easygoing atmosphere. The Table Cafè is quite modern and small. It is a nice place where to go, even before starting a busy morning at work, because it feels cozy and it is not pricey. You should expect to spend 30£ for two to be completely satisfied.

ENJOY!

Delightful experience. This morning I met up with the boyfriend who booked a table last night via the internet.
The place was busy and bustling with couples, friends and families.
The environment is clean, tidy, neat and easygoing.
We ordered our drinks and we had the full English breakfast and 'The Stack'.
The food didn't take long to arrive and we finished it all! It was very satisfying and I will be skipping any afternoon snacks as I'm still full.
The bill was reasonable and our hunger pacified.
We definitely want to come back at some point to try the buttermilk pancakes and eggs benedict...

Having decided to walk into town along the river, I had built up quite an appetite by the time we arrived at the Table in Southwark. I was hoping for a big breakfast and I wasn't disappointed. We turned up at prime brunchtime and the place was packed, we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. Well I say a table, I mean a spot on one of the long dining benches (seems like a bit of a strange name for a restaurant, if you only have about four of them in the whole place and long benches to sit on!). There was a buzzy atmosphere in this small modern diner, with decent music playing in the background and the small open kitchen in one corner adding to the relaxed vibe.

The Table serve an extensive brunch menu on weekends from 9-4, but the Borough full English breakfast seemed like the most popular. And that is what I ordered. As I mentioned I was hungry and was pleased to see a very generous portion delivered by the waitress. Two fried eggs served on sourdough toast, two sausages, crispy bacon, ham hock & chorizo baked beans, grilled tomato and a Portobello mushroom. The sausages were really big, flavoured with leek, which complemented the rest of the plate, rather than overpower it.

So you might think this is the perfect fry-up and will get the perfect score, but unfortunately I do have a couple of gripes. The item on the menu I was looking forward to the most was the ham hock & chorizo baked beans, but it proved to be a bit of a disappointment. I was expecting a real hit of paprika and tomato flavours in the bean sauce, but in reality it was just a bit bland. The other reason this fry-up doesn't get top marks is the price. At £12, the Borough full English is certainly at the top of the fry-up price range and whilst you do get a lot for your money, the menu in general is quite expensive, like my flat white coffee, which was £3.50.

It has been approximately five years that I have been waiting to have brunch at The Table Cafe. Really.

This inconspicuous restaurant across the road from work has become special to me. Lunch and dinner has always been incredible, but the thought of coming up to London and doing my work commute on a Saturday was just all wrong.

I was torn between satisfying my urges or feeling like I’m going to work on a weekend. The other option is to get up early on a weekday and come in before work, and but that was never going to happen. Then we booked tickets for The View at the nearby Shard for last weekend and it all fell together.

The Table is famed for its brunch. I’d heard tales of queues round the block, and seen endless rave reviews and pictures. It has even made it onto Time Out’s best breakfasts and brunches in London, Basically everything they say is true. The place was heaving with a different crowd to what we usually see – families, couples, I saw a whole new side, that goes for the food too.

The Table Cafe is an absolute gem in the world of dining, and my recent visit left me thoroughly impressed! From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the welcoming ambiance and modern yet cozy decor. The restaurant exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere that's perfect for a memorable meal. The staff was not only friendly but also attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was exceptional. Now, let's talk about the food – it was nothing short of a culinary delight! The menu boasts a creative fusion of flavors and ingredients, and each dish was a work of art. The quality of the ingredients was evident, and the presentation was simply stunning. Whether you're a fan of seafood, poultry, or vegetarian options, The Table Cafe has something to satisfy every palate. I also appreciated their commitment to sourcing locally and using fresh, seasonal ingredients. It's evident that they take pride in their craft, and it truly shines through in the dishes they serve. The Table Cafe is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a memorable meal, I highly recommend giving it a try. Such a delicious spot for brunch served everyday with a wide variety of options. The team were so friendly and welcoming when we were standing outside looking for a menu. Recommendations were spot on and we were so delighted with the food - my friend opted for the sweet corn fritter which was so beautifully served and I had the chicken and waffles which was sublime. If you go for coffee, don’t get just an espresso as it’s a little bitter but I’m sure milk-based coffees would be fine as it’ll add the sweetness. The juices were delicious too.

You won’t get in at the weekend without booking. Table of two booked for early afternoon and got a nice table by the door. Lots of friendly staff around and happy to help. The place is quite tight and very busy but overall a nice feel, could do with some sound damping measures. We had two hot chocolates, eggs florentine and poached eggs on French toast. The food was well portioned and very tasty. It came out extremely quick (almost too quick). Everything was lovely except the feeling of their goal being turning tables and not serving customers. This was evidenced by a waiter coming round all the tables with bills even when the bills weren’t asked for. Understand the need to make profit and increase volume but they make it a little more personable service.

I love the menu here. There are so many good options to choose from! French toast, pancakes or waffles are a must. My favourite was probably the pancakes. Although it was a close toss-up between the French toast and pancakes. Make sure you book as this place is packed out for brunch at the weekend. They seemed to do their best to squeeze in walk-ins, but I was so glad to have a spot reserved when I arrived as it meant zero waiting time.
