Amazing place in London. I love the food. can’t wait to come back here again. Congratulations to the staff.
If you're into modern Thai food this is the place to dine in London. Their service is fast and efficent and the food is light, refreshing, you can judge they've used good quality ingredients for every dish. Their ginger and lemongrass juice is so refreshing and one can never have just one glass. Well-priced, great tasting food in a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Busaba Eathai ki ango lassi mujhe sabse jada pasand hai, or ye meri favourite bhi hai to aap log jab bhi yaha aao to mang lassi zarur try karna
This is an awesome place to visit for a good Thai food in Soho. The ambience was great and the service was good. And my evening was spent well 😍
Food was tasty and good value for money. Portions getting smaller as any other chain, but much more authentic flavours and quality products.
The place and the surroundings are well placed but the theme of restaurant being dark may not be of the choice of everyone. The food is good, service is okay but the sitting appears cramped. Overall experience is good but not outstanding.
A must visit for all thai cuisine lovers. Well-cultured staff. Decent ambience. Quick service. Delicious food and fresh mocktail juice served with regards to customisation.
I just Went Busaba Eathai for calabari dish as it was very famous and For interior...I just loved the Calabari dish and interior of Busaba Eathai...Staff was so friendly..they customized it according to my needs ...Loved it
Great experience as always! The food was delicious and the place was busy and vibrant, but still the service was quick and didn’t even had to queue. To be back soon!
The squid starter is not to be missed - it is highly addictive & will draw you back in! I have been a few times with work groups and everyone can always find something to suit their taste. Service can be a bit slow.
Feel like eating Thai? Maybe you’ll feel like Busaba Eathai. South-east Asian food, let alone Thai, is a rather different experience in central London. Your choices are generally down to chains like Rosa’s Thai, Busaba Eathai and a few others. You lose a bit of that authenticity with the kind of cuisine they dish up. But out of the chains, my favourite is Busaba Eathai by a noodle mile.
This place is dope.
One of the few places in soho where you will see a good big queue outside the resto.
But once inside you get the food, it will be totally worth the wait.
This place is a frequent for us.
Very good Thai food in central London - soho . Great service and reasonable prices . Better to book in advance . Sharing tables , music at the background . Highly recommend 👍🏼
Went here on a friend's recommendation. They have really nice mango lassi! The food was very good. We got a table also pretty quickly. Quite affordable for such yummy food
great service and good atmosphere. loved every bite of my meal and super friendly service. the venue is great and i love the sharing tables.
I loved the interior, beautiful decoration and the layout of the tables. Very nice vibe. I really liked the food too and the service was extremely good
optima comida e atendimento. esperamos apenas 10 minutos para sentar e muito rapido também a vir a comida. sem duvida a recomendar! para qquem gosta de tailandês muito bom! 😊
Some food for the soul, located right amidst the bustle right off Oxford street is this gem. Love the food , although the community seating isn't the best of choices since you don't have your own privacy. The warm candles during the evenings are extremely inviting with a staff member always there to assist you right from the time you enter.
We always order the chicken satay- extremely succulent and has a great punch of flavours. The Green Thai chicken is also a favourite along with some Chilli beef Jasmine rice.
For vegetarians, the spring rolls are great as is the pad Thai.
Overall, a great fan of the food here😊
Friendly service but some not attentive enough to give us a complete cutlery set until asked. The Tom yam goong is more to salty rather than authentic Thai flavour which is more sour, sweet with a spicy hint though, I have been spoilt with our Thai food in Melbourne. This personal preference taste is slightly satiated when I squeeze in the lime they gave us for the prawn salad. Our green chicken curry and prawn salad is good. Interior and sitting are comfortable. We love the cloudy lemonade which is made from calamansi lime.
A recommended place to me by a foodie, and loved being here. Just make sure to omit pumpkins when you order thai curry. A good experience being here.
I do not remember the names of the items we've ordered but what I do remember is how much we enjoyed our dinner here. If you're into trying new food from a different culture then you're at the right place, good variety and reasonable prices with a creative interior concept.
I love thai food one of my favourite places to it i love the seating arrangement so authentic. Love the auroma the flavours the taste everything about your food been my favourite for many years
The crispy calamari is to die for! It's not very private as you may be seated on the big tables with other diners but the food is so worth it
Excellent Thai in a very relax communal table atmosphere... great variety and distinctive flavours. Will be going again! Great company always helps too 😀
A lovely lunch with two friends here after we read some reviews of the place. A dark but welcoming space and happy staff. We started with soft drinks and cocktails. Entrees were calamari in green peppercorn sauce- amazing!!!! And sweet potato fries with spicy aoli style sauce. Mains were pad Thai, sweet and sour chicken with jasmine rice and mine- salmon on roti with jasmine rice and roasted gem. Really enjoyed the well flavoured food.
Pad Thai here is delicious! Such a fan of this place, so incredible yummy and great venue too. Miss it way to much! Staff is sweet too in all their branches, cocktails are also worth it!
Fantastic! Very good indeed. Noodle soup simply wonderful. Nice place and good localization. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Simply the best Thai in London.
It was a late night quick bite. I like the fact that they still accepted me at 11pm! Tried the grilled chicken with green curry sauce that comes with rice soaked in the curry and I the experience was great! Loved the taste with the chargrilled chicken!
Good food for a quick Thai stop! Had the classic Pad Thai, taste and presentation were great for the value of money and we didn't have to wait long to be seated and served! Overall it maintains its reputation for a chain restaurant but won't promise that you'll have the full thai food satisfaction feeling after
Busaba Eathai presents simple, elegant and spicy yet flavoursome Thai food for the Londoner. The restaurant is crowded at all times and the queue to enter is quite a long one- be prepared to hear your tummy rumbling away!
Initially no one came into take our orders and we had to wave our hands to get attention- mind you, we were sitting right in the centre. The food was spicier than I expected but ingredients married well. The food is easy on the pocket and I wouldn't mind going there again.
Ideal for family gatherings or outings with friends- a date would be a nightmare as you'd mostly have to share a table with others. Their tables are mostly sized for large groups.
All in all a good experience and would recommend it for an authentic Thai food experience in London.
First if you want to eat at Busaba make sure to go before you get extra hungry as the line to get in is long! Especially if you are a big group and want to sit together. Seating is around big square tables which you share with others and as soon as someone leaves they take in people from the queue. Now down to the food, this was simply the best Thai i ever had. The calamari was crunchy yet not oily. The duck cooked to perfection with their special sauce and curry shrimps were great too. Though the place was super packed, service was quite fast and staff attentive. Highly recommended.
Very good, till the starters to the main dish! And the staff very welcome! They get wrong with the first order, and quick made the change!
The decoration is very beauty, and I already felt in Thailand
Very good! Amazing flavours, nice presentation and a good price. Not ideal for groups of 5/6 but better for groups of 8 as they have large square tables (2 people on each side)
Busaba Eathai is a great stop for some Thai food in Soho! As you enter the place, the lovely aromas engulf you. The food is quick and good value for money.
They have lots of community sharing tables. The ambiance is cozy, and the food is super comforting on a chilly day. Busaba never disappoints but be prepared to wait for your table.
Keep Gobbling xx
Was never a fan of Thai cuisine but I realised I was going to all the wrong places. The Thai food here is beyond words. Didn't have any problem ordering food considering the fact that I'm a vegetarian. Also the idea of shared tables is amazing. A must visit place
First of all, the idea of big square common tables is great! It allows people to sit together and have a little privacy sitting next to each other by the corners while letting the restaurant holding a big number of customers at one time. I liked it very much.
The service was also very good. We were served by really nice waiter, who willingly shared with us the information about the menu. My boyfriend decided to order the most spicy curry - jungle one, and waiter, not asked, got him some yoghurt mixed with banana to calm down taste buds. It was really friendly and that was easy to catch that man just likes his job.
As almost always when visitting Thai place, I ordered green curry. It was tasty, but honestly I ate better ones. Servings could be a little bit bigger. My boyfriend, as I mentioned, took jungle one and it turned out to be a small challenge to eat it whole. But we were honestly warned earlier about the amount of spices used.
Anyway, place is really nice and I'd surely visit again.
Being a big fan of Thai cuisine I try to find restaurants serving thai food wherever I travel. On seeing Busaba, I had no second thoughts as I absolutely love their food right from my first visit to their restaurant in Dubai.
The place gives you an at home feeling as the interiors at all their branches across the world look the same.
We called for a Veg spring roll, Prawns in Basil Sauce and a Crab meat fried rice. The food here is lovely and tasted just like in Dubai. It felt great to be here.
Excellent thai food at an excellent price! :)
One of those places that you are sure to receive consistently yummy food, in a lovely, casual setting.
One of the best calamris i have tasted is definitely at Busaba! Also a great chicken satay and pad thai! I would suggest ordering and sharing most dishes!
Great Food, and drinks! The vibe inside the restaurant is just akin to eating in Thailand! A great hideaway from the bustling city centre! Top notch! Chapeau!
It's the thai version of wagamama . Communal tables and interesting menu options. The coconut curries and fried squids are worth the visit. Service is attentive
Busaba is the happening Thai place in Soho. We were seated on a square table with other people. It seemed awkward at first but we didn't mind it a couple of minutes later. The menu has a very interesting variety of small dishes to share and main courses. The service was just what you expect from Far Eastern efficiency. The food was full of flavors and the dishes were interesting enough to have without the accompanying sauces - even though the sauces were delicious as well. We were so full we didnt have dessert.
Overall a good experience.
Not halal.
I went here for a work lunch, I ordered the grilled salmon. Tasted good, but its the most easiest thing to cook so hard to review. But i did try the calamari for the first time as well as the broccoli, wow, its soo good, why have I not eaten this before i ask myself!
This place has some of the most authentic Thai food in London. It is consistently good and never disappoints. All the curries I have tried are good and I love the pad thai and chicken satay.
Another one of my favourites in London. I tried everything on the menu and I have never left disappointed. Try the Thai calamari and the duck curry! You'll dream about it! A meal for two with wine included is £56.00
Very nice Thai restaurant including variety of delicious Thai foods. I recommend duck and crabs food with rice. Good for visiting with friends.
I am not a big fan of Thai food - the persisting coconut flavor turns me off. But this restaurant changed my opinion.
I had Fried chicken with Lemongrass, Shallots and sweet chilli sauce - it came with sticky jasmine rice. and man! The tangy flavor of the lemon grass, the crispy skin of the chicken and the juicy interior of the chicken - it was too much for me.
Give this a go the next time you are there. The name 'Fried Chicken' is an absolute misnomer - they should change it to something more attractive and enticing - like 'Absolute Must Chicken'!!!
Thai mutfagini ilk kez denemek icin burayi sectim.
What do you say about the heart of Soho in The heart of Soho top eatery, one more masterpiece from the master of food interior design, the brain behind every sushi conveyer in the world, and when Yo Sushi is booming, well Yo below is being digged put !!! Enough philosophy ( Philo WTF what ask Flat ??? Flat has been living for the last 9 years in the desert, I wonder if he will recognize Home, LONDON !!!), every time i go to This place, i don't bother looking at the menu, they just bring me food, until I say STOP, and then Encore...Awesome... As always Flat Eric...
I'm a big fan of Thai food so this is obviously one of my top go-to restaurants when in doubt!
Large variety on the menu, there is something for everyone! The classic pad Thai is of course amazing, as well as the Thai green curry!
Highly recommend all their different locations!
I Loveee Busaba Eathai! :) The cutest place, all wooden interiors and the moment you walk in, you can't wait to quickly order and start eating as the smells entice you to get your eating game face on haha! The food is superb. I just love the Green Chicken Curry with the Pea Aubergines, the Crabmeat Fried Rice, the Scallop and Prawn Stir Fry, Mussaman Duck Curry and lastly a favourite side, Morning Glory. And a diet coke to go with it please! ;) The order was sufficient for 3 people, we were happily full, very well priced and the food quality was just amazing!
I'm a big fan of Busaba Ethai. Great taste and reasonable prices! You should try Thai Calamari and Pad Thai Jay. It would be better if there were less shared tables.
I'm not a big fan of thai food in general, but this restaurant is really good ! Amazing ambiance and service. You have to order the green curry fried rice and the fried chicken is to die for. For drinks, i've tried them and they're really good and refreshing
Good food and not expansive! It can get a little too loud and they seat very tight. They have large tables where they sit a lot of different groups together but it's worth a try. If you are just going outgo eat for no occasion and want some good Asian fusion food this is a place to go.
I am one of the Busaba fans I was eating 2 or 3 times in this great Resturant when I was studying in London. Try chickens wings and calamari 👍🏻
I love Thai and we needed a quick place for dinner before the theater. Conveniently located for that, we popped in and were happy to see they had a pre-theater 'quick' option for just under 10 pounds for a choice of a main entreé and a side dish + rice. Both were nice sized and flavorful. We also tried the prawn chips which were good (asked for addition thai-chili sauce as there was little served, but it was no problem). Wonderful lemongrass tea served with 2 almond shortbread biscuits but I'd not bother with the Coconut water which tasted more like water (not sure if it was watered down from the ice or if they added water because I drink that brand all the time and this had no flavor). I'd go again even if not pre-theater.
Busaba Eathai is a casual Thai restaurant with 12 locations in London. Busaba is a Thai flower. Eathai is a fusion of the words eat and Thai. My favourite Busaba Eathai restaurant is the one on Wardour Street in Soho, opened in 1999. ? The picture shows Chili Beef Fried Rice, and is delicious with fried eggs on top ? You can also try Pad Thai with king prawn.? Both are very delicious.
The menu includes many other tasty dishes. My favorites are grilled Duck Breast with tamarind sauce, Thai Calamari with ginger, and Crabmeat Fried Rice. You just can’t go wrong with any of them. Hmmmm yummy….

When I first visited this restaurant, I was very fascinated with the ceiling fans as they are no where to be seen else where and then came sharing the tables with complete strangers. I think I eventually liked the idea as you get to interact with different people from all over the world. Must try the pad Thai here!
When we arrived there was a queue around 10 people, after 5 min we got a table sharing with others which I don't mind. What I didn't like was the noise, imagine 100 people talk at the same time!!!! Food came really quick and was delicious. Service was good for such a big restaurant( I thought we had to wait ages to get served, luckily proven otherwise). and above all it was really cheap.
Quite Good. Great Thai food . Fresh ingredients, tender meat, AMAZING coconut rice... Food comes super fast . The only downside is the fact that you have to share big tables with other people and its always packed up.It is a bit uncomfortable eating with 8 strangers. At least for me. Apart from that i really love the atmosphere , earthy warm colors with great decor. Love it. I am going back again and again. Not pricey at all.
A chain which has managed to capture the ambience of a warm night on a thai beach. Last night we visited Busaba Eathai, another of Alan Yau's ventures in modern asian dining (although he's now sold Busaba on). Gotta say, the man has style. The dark wood and ambient lighting is very earthy but also sophisticated and welcoming. Although we had to queue outside for 10 mins, the mixed scents of thai ingredients and joss sticks floating out the open windows smelt so heavenly that I really didn't mind. The place is almost laid out like a canteen with big communal tables, which I loved as we ended up sitting next to a couple of Peruvian siblings whom we got on with so well, we all went to Zebranos after.
'Pad Thai' rice noodle with prawn, dried shrimp, tofu, egg, peanut, (NO beansprouts) and lime £7.40
The first thing we ordered was the pad thai. The portion was a decent size for one person with a satisfactory 5 king prawns within it. I did think it was a bit too sweet though *sigh* but maybe that's being unfair as you can't really compare to being in Thailand. Really though, it was a delicious dish, and we hoovered up every last bit of it.
'Morning Glory' with yellow bean, thai garlic and red chilli £5.80
On our travels, we pretty much had this dish everywhere we went. Afterall, it's considered a kind of weed in parts of asia and grows in abundance, so it's a shame that it costs so much over here. Busaba's version of this simple dish was very well executed. Crunchy, tender, good portion to share and the sauce was spot on.
'Thai Calamari' with ginger and peppercorn £5.90
We also enjoyed the calamari which had much subtler flavours than expected. Andy wasn't as keen on this, as he thought the batter was a bit on the thick side, but I quite enjoyed the combination of textures it created with the flesh of the squid.
'Thai Roti' £2.10
This certainly wasn't the roti I was expecting to get and it made me a little sad as I was looking forward to dipping a soft, lightly fried bread into my duck curry. What we got made me think that something went wrong and the bread was mistakenly deep-fried for too long. It was chewy and hard. Bring back the real roti!
'Mussaman duck curry' with potato, peanut and onion £10.60
Having tried the duck curry at the Thai Festival in Trafalgar Square last year, I was really looking forward to having this dish again. Maybe it was the cold and huddling around a paper plate of curry which made it taste so good but it felt like this was a different recipe. The sauce was a bit too salty and strong I would say, but generally the dish was enjoyable. Big, juicy pieces of duck and soft chunks of potato were fished out keenly.
Overall, the experience at Busaba didn't wow my tastes buds, but the ambience and buzz of the restaurant made it a pleasant experience, and we had such a great time talking to our new friends that I probably didn't concentrate on food as much as I should have done for my first blog review! My bad. Andy tells me that he thought the one in Shoreditch was much better, so next time we'll probably head there. It didn't break the bank, despite looking quite busy the service was attentive and the food generally was enjoyable. As for that perfect pad thai in London... I'm still looking.
8/10
Approx. £20 per/head
The best squid I've ever had. For me this is one of those places you go to for a specific dish and not much else. The decor is beautiful and you see it replicated across their growing chain of restaurants.
It's a great place to come with friends, watch out though for the evening and sometimes rush from the offices as people look for a filling, delicious and classy meal.
I've had better curries and better stir-fries but one thing I cannot disagree with is their Thai Calamari. It's absolutely exquisite. It comes with ginger and peppercorn and when teamed up with the chilli sauce that adorns all the tables, it really is a match made in heaven. With a glass of the South African Sauvignon Blanc and you've got a winner.
MMm. Yummy food and drinks. i really like the green curry fried rice. only problem is drinks are bit expensive for a tiny cup. lemonade, mango lassi and ginger tea are delicious though!!
A great standby. Perfect for quick tasty no no nonsense thai food, and a handy break if you've made the mistake of going to the capital's worst shopping street
Ive been to Busaba a couple of times now and I have to say it's pretty goddamn good. Now let me get this out early if your not into sharing tables then this not your thing, but don't criticise the place for it.
I've read a few of the negative comments here and all I can say is I really don't know what they are talking about. I've lived in SE Asia for over 3 years and can honestly whilst not 100% authentic it's pretty bloody good. To be fair most of us westerners don't really want or couldn't handle really authentic Asian food!
The food in my opinion is great fresh and service is excellent.
If your after a romantic evening or something more discreet go somewhere else.
If your into great food the opportunity to meet people and a bit of fun then this is great. The proof of the pudding is the queues everytime I've been there!!!

Apart from terrible spring rolls, the food was good. Not as cheap as people say, and having to queue for 40 mins really ruins the whole experience. Ridiculous and pointless that you can't book. Service was good. Would go again if there was no queue.
Good for the money. You can't make a reservation in advance so normally a 10-20 min wait. Most of the food is pretty average, but at £20 a head for one of the breed of 'trendy' restaurants in the West End it's really not bad. Good if you're on a budget or paying for a large group of people. Service is friendly but quite slow. Sharing a table with others you don't know is an interesting experience! Whilst you can hear others conversations remember they can also hear yours!!!!
Class. A class act, consistently delivers with a great atmosphere and good food. A great night out.
Busaba Eathi. This was my first visit and loved it! Certainly didn't mind the queuing system, it was well worth it and when we were seated it was actually really nice to share a table with so many people and look at all the wonderful food that was being eaten. Would definitely go again and have recommended it to a girlfried today! Great value for money and a wonderful environment!!
Nice Thai. Wagamama does Thai, nice room, pleasant food, don't expect to linger.
Seems to be back on track, though best to go off peak.
Sumptuous supper. A firm fav of mine for a decent meal at an affordable price. though if you want to get in without fuss i suggest you go for lunch or an early dinner as there is always a queue
Consistently delicious. I've eaten at the Wardour Street restaurant three times now, and the first encounter was by chance.
I love the feel of this place, find it fun to be seated at a table with random patrons (they generally have square tables seating about 8 and you will be seated where there is a spot), and the food is exquisite every time.
On top of this the portions are quite generous, the cost is exceedingly reasonable, and their hot teas are to die for.
...the service was attentive and the food generally was enjoyable. As for that perfect pad thai in London… I’m still looking.
Surprisingly for a chain restaurant that now spans eight locations, Busaba hasn’t lost its way in serving up pretty decent Thai food. I do like that they make the takeaway, like my sen chan pad Thai (rice noodle with prawn, peanut, egg, green mango and crabmeat) to order. So you’ll have to wait 10-15 minutes but that’s a better alternative somewhere that has all the food stewing in vats under heat lamps. Are their better and more authentic restaurants elsewhere? Definitely. However, for a quick and tasty Thai lunch it fits the bill. Plus it has the major plus point of being directly opposite my office!
When The Peanut Gallery and I first moved to London, Busaba Eathai in Soho was our staple Friday night feed. We'd stumble our way through the Sohoian streets, TPG nudging me to hide my A to Z, as we placed bets on how long the queue would be (it's decepti
Lovely Thai food, with great atmosphere and service,
You are likely to be seated in a table with strangers! Feels strange at first.
Curries are great.
Love the pad Thai.
Their down side: they don't serve dessert!

Very nice place..community seating...delicious thai food. Service is brisk and helpful. At one point of time when my dish became cold, they went and heated the same (lol), when i requested for the same.
Flip point is the queue in front of the restaurant , regardless of the day of the week.
Absolutely packed Friday night, but nobody told the staff. Superb service and top food. Now I'm going to return to my food coma where I am more than happy. (The calamari small plate is to die for)
It's a chain but quality is kept high. I have always been a fan of busaba eathai ever since I tried their food 4 years ago at Westfield branch. Their coconut rice is the best around and has always been the same quality every time I visited. Curries are full of flavour and served quickly. We also ordered Calamari as a starter but I think it was too salty and average so would only stick to the usual and popular. Price wise, 2 starters 2 curries 2 rice 2 drinks set us back 56 pounds. Affordable but not cheap.
It is one of my favourite eateries with tasty dishes at fairly reasonable prices along with the location at which it is situated. The ambience is good. It is more like a casual, informal place having a relaxing atmosphere with candles, flowers and incense scent that welcomes you. The menu on offer is quite extensive. The food is tasty as well as healthy. For starters, I would recommend chicken satay. I would recommend char-grilled duck(or beef) or pad Thai for the main course and asparagus fried rice as a side dish.. However, the dish that stole the limelight for me has to be tom kha chicken with lemongrass and coconut. The combination was perfect. The staff was great and provided an excellent service. However, this place doesn't take bookings and you have to wait in the queue but most of the time you can get a seat easily.
This place serves really delicious Thai food and if you ever have a craving for it, then look no further beyond this place. The menu is quite an extensive one and if you are planning to visit this restaurant, then I would recommend you to try their variety of curries which are an absolute delight.
I love this restaurant and am a frequent visitor but am deeply upset that they should remove my favorite dish off the menu. Char grilled beef was delectable and a good value for money. Alas! you cannot order it anymore. However, the other options are good too. the ambiance is cool and fun. The service is swift too.
Personally, i am not a a very big fan of chain restaurants. But this branch has been consistent in their quality of food. They serve the best thai food. The service here is friendly and welcoming. The food is served in a timely manner without having to wait more than a couple of minutes.
I had decided to check this place out for its easy location ,good looks and no waiting line! But let me tell you ,this place was so good that out of my 5 day stay in the city i dropped in twice! The food here is really yummy! There are a lot of alternatives in the city for premium quality Thai food but this one for its locality is pretty decent too!
If you are going out with a close group of friends and want the ambiance to be cosy and dimly lit then this is one place that you can definitely consider. The food is delicious and you will want to lick your fingers all through the meal. Try out the Southern Fish Curry and I am sure you will love it. The service is another good point. You will want to visit this place again.
I have been here multiple times in the past few years and it has stuck as my favourite throughout all this time each time I am in the city, be it with friends or a visit alone. The calamari here is something everyone must get a taste of, absolute delightful and very great value for money. The staff is quick, efficient and very amicable. Definitely worth a try!
I would call this one of my all time favourites. The food is simply the best. I feel like visiting this place once every week. If you go then you absolutely must try the Red Beef Curry! The feeling that you get after eating it is heavenly. It just melts away in your mouth and you will want to gorge on it forever. I mean it!
We went here a long time ago and enjoyed ourselves very much. We recently decided to go here again and was lucky enough to have the same experience, yet again. The staff here is very friendly, amicable along with being quick and efficient. The food is mouth watering, comes in very generous portions and is very reasonably priced. The ambiance here is quite cozy and very welcoming as well. Definitely worth a try.
Very good Thai meal. They have a very large selection of curry, seafood or meat, and everything tastes great and authentic! Also, prices are very reasonable for the quality of food that you're getting. The atmosphere is very busy, but the dim lighting allows for a comforting and warm feel. I personally adore green curry, and always go for that when I'm there! I highly recommend trying it! The only downturn of Busaba, in my opinion, is the shared large tables, which I sometimes find awkward when you and your friend are sitting at a corner and so close to people that you don't know- it's not the best for intimacy; but it all depends what kind of experience you're looking for. I know that I prefer facing whoever I'm with-but if you're in the mood to mingle, and have a great meal at the same time, this is a really good place!
Ambiance: The ambiance is nice, very simplistic setting with nice wooden tables and complementary decor.
Service: The service has always been great, we are always served timely and kindly.
Food: The food here is great, I always get the Vegetarian Pad Thai and I love it. I definitely recommend their noodles, but all their other dishes look great as well.
Value: The value is great, especially for the quality of the food that you get.
Would I go back?: Yes, and I have been back many times, it's just great for a quick and easy meal that you know will not disappoint you.
A good thai meal, green curry is very good. However seating is a little bit annoying, where you are likely to be sharing a bench with a complete stranger, so not the greatest place if you're looking for some privacy. However the prices are very reasonable and the food is good.
Apart from pretty much nailing delicate, classic thai food, the real thing I like about Busaba is the layout of the restaurant. The tables are large and communal but unlike Wagamama's face to face approach you'll be seated next to one another around square tables. This, coupled with dimly lit lights hanging low over each table, creates an intimate atmosphere.
I always go for pad thai, which I know is a fairly uninspired choice when going out for thai food, but really, it's so comforting and so good, I tried it once and never changed my order.
Now before I start just like to tell everyone that i was actually at Busaba Eathai in Oxford Bicester Village. I wanted to write a review soo bad, so writing one under the London Branch lol.
Entering the restaurant you see a lot of wood! Looked very nice and cosy! We were seated in the conservatory area which had outside heating too! Our waitress was amazing, she was so helpful with picking our dishes an drinks. The fresh juices are soo refreshing! I ordered a grilled salmon with rice an salad. Side orders of calamari and spicy cooked green beans, spring onion an spinach.
I was offered a lovely coffee to finish off!! I asked Emelia, our waitress, for the bill. She came over an placed on the table. She then gave us a card with their restaurant app an instructions how to download to recieve £5 off your bill. My friend and I both did this an recieved £10 off our bill! The amazing thing about this app is you can pay your bill on the app and also split the check between 1 to 10 people!! I think this restaurant is definitely going the right direction! With all the latest technology and cool apps this one has most def got me excited haha!
Cant wait to go again and try it out in another branch!! Without the discount it was about £20 per head with drinks. Thats main with sides! Pretty reasonably priced!
Good food & ambience and perfect company to make a great evening. Would definitely recommend this place
Buon ristorante, cibo molto interessante e tavoli spesso in comune per una situazione interessante! Ci torno sempre volentieri! Consiglio Pattay e calamari! Top
Like Thai then its a must, downside is you have to queue as no reservations. The squid is the best so recommend this as starter
Been here twice and still loving the dishes on the menu! The curries are amazing, especially the masamman duck curry :) i had the jungle curry, apparently the spiciest curry on the menu but it was still alright for my taste buds! I absolutely love the calamari, perfect texture and awesome flavour! Had the prawn and pandan chicken as sides and both worth trying! Not forgetting my boyfriend's favourite drink there, guava collins! So yummy that its difficult not to have a second glass! :) the wait is never really long coz they seat people really fast! definitely recommend this place!
My family visited London in May 2012. I & my wife had lunch at this restaurant and we had a great time. The place was buzzing and was absolutely packed.
We ordered some veg noodles, prawns & jasmine rice. We also ordered Hot Sake which was delicious but rather strong.
The service was quick and staff were cordial.
My go-to Thai place! I love the food here. Great prices. The calamari and the Pandan chicken are to die for. It's quite hard to have a conversation here though, as it's very loud, especially the Wardour Street branch. Covent Garden and Bird Street are quieter.
Busaba is one of my favourite Thai restaurants. It reminds me a little of a Buddhist temple and always smells great. There's a lot of spirit to the place and very tasty Thai food as well. Service is very fast and the menu is reasonably priced. Great to go to with family, be prepared for the noisy and jovial atmosphere.
It was my fav thai place 6 years ago. Good, cheap, quick and cool. Today it's still good but portion are almost half the size they were for almost double price. Another succesful place becoming big headed and not cool anymore. Don't get me wrong it's good but it's not as good and cool as it used to be...
If you are looking for a relaxed dinner with friends and reasonably good food Busaba is the place to be. If you are with a large group of people you will be lucky enough to have your own table but smaller groups have to share with strangers. However, there's nothing to worry about as the tables are large squares with benches around them (very difficult to kick the stranger opposite you accidentally!).
Although the food is reasonably good and not the best Thai food, I've given Busaba a higher rating because their quality is consistent and they have a varied menu. However, I think their eating pad thai is the best. Busaba is also quite easy on the pocket. So definitely ticks all the boxes for a dinner with friends.
Busaba EatThai is comfortable, clean and you always know what you're going to get. Quality pad thai, delicious red and green curries and the tastiest fresh juices. In terms of drinks, I always go for the Guava Collins which is made from guava juice, coconut water and lime. Be prepared for a convivial atmosphere as the only seating available is benches and the restaurant tends to get pretty busy. I would recommend Busaba for lunch or for a casual dinner with friends in the evening as it is definitely not a formal, sit down type place.
This is one place in Soho where you will find a long queue of people waiting to get in especially on a weekend. But don't worry, the service is super fast and there is ample space for around 100 of food lovers at a time. Hip, trendy and sophisticated, this place will never fail to surprise you every time you visit. The surprise lies in the deliciously amazing and fresh thai cuisines.
SomTam, the green papaya salad is superbly refreshing. It is a no-brainer, simple and tasty.
Love the creative collection of drinks and muddles.
Go there on a busy saturday night and feel the passion for food in a chaotic, crowded, dim lit yet delightful aromatic atmosphere. Does give a feeling of being in Thailand at times too if you don't look out the window. :)
Busaba is one of my favourite restaurants in London. It is refreshingly good- spectacular food, service and ambience at surprisingly low prices. I absolutely love the sociable canteen style seating which makes the atmosphere relaxed and casual. The menu is full of exciting dishes and has a good mix of stir fries, curries, soups and heavenly appetisers. I adore the Thai calamari, its a star dish on the menu- I often have these cravings that make me run to the nearest Busaba- It is to DIE for and this is me not being theatrical. The staff is young, friendly, bubbly and knowledgable of the menu without being intrusive. What I also love about Busaba is that they are very flexible so if I want my food spicy they make sure its eye watering spicy! They have a wide range of vegetarian dishes on the menu that keep the vegetarian customers jolly. They have wonderful drinks- both alcoholic(The sake is not the best you will have but reasonably good for the price you pay!) and non alcoholic(thai teas and fresh juices with a Thai twist). They don't over complicate the food and keep it simple which brings out the flavours even more. All in all Busaba is a great chain and I genuinely feel they should open more outlets in the country. I am a fan!
With Thai food gaining popularity around the world, Busaba, a well renowned Thai food chain restaurant has opened numerous branches across London. Centrally located at Wardour Street, Busaba Eathai has probably the best Thai food in London. This is very convenient place for shoppers to enjoy a sumptuous meal after a long and tiring day. The ambiance is lavish and you feel like you're in a different country when you enter. Even the servers are dressed as Thai locals. The chicken in green Thai curry which I ordered is one of the best I have ever had. They also have a separate bar where you can go to enjoy a drink or two. The prices are reasonable and the portions are medium sized. I would definitely recommend this place to all Thai food lovers.
My personal favourite Thai restaraunt. Very decently priced. Pleasant ambience. Great variety in dishes. Convenient location, near Leicester Square tube station; and Goodge Street tube station.
Do you want to try excellent asian thai-asian food without paying a fortune? With more or less 20pounds you will enjoy one of the most unforgattable dinners in your life. Starters differ from the common ones, fish and meat are fresh and delicious, and the sauces they are served with are rich of flavour. Their noodles adjust to every taste and are ready to give you the opportunity to try real gourmet noodles.
Try their duck, you will not certainly regret it!
This restaurant has different locations around the city, check their web site.
I always ended up here when I wasn't sure what I was in the mood for - no reservations, no long queues and the food is delicious. The calamari and green curry fried rice are my favourites!
Firstly, it's crowded and loud always and it has those communal tables where you have to sit with a strangers. So you can't never have a peaceful conversation. But a Must for Thai ! It's at the heart of Soho, convenient location from both Oxford or Tottenham Court and as it's on Wardour Street, it's pretty easy to locate it.
Ambience: Nice dark, dim lit decor which I absolutely love, but in terms of sitting, it's just like Wagamama - loud, noisy and casual.
Food: Aaamazing Food ! The best thai in London. Spring rolls are delicious. Pad Thai/ Calamari(Y) /Duck or the Chicken Curry are a must try. I even love the pumpkin curry and coconut and jasmine rice!! It just puts a smile everytime. Every single dish is mouth watering!!! Trust me, Busaba will never disappoint you in terms of food.
Staff: Service is fast and pretty quick always, good for a quick lunch or dinner. Staff is friendly and prices are amazing. Reasonable around £13-15/person.
Busaba is one of the few chains which I have come across, carrying a cult following. You'll never fail to find a queue at any of their outlets.
There are no reservations taken so you could enjoy skimming through their exotic menu while sipping on a drink. Make sure you go there with an appetite all that good food will need sufficient space!
Must try starter is the calamari! Personally I enjoy uncomplicated cooking, simple and not confusing in terms of too many varied flavours clubbed in one.
All in all it's a good place to sit, relax and enjoy your meal.
What a beautiful night we had. Showed up 5 of us and we didn’t have any booking. We promptly seated. Food was amazing. Service was impeccable. I would like to thank to Deniz who made our night really unforgettable. Highly recommended.
Went here last night with a friend, I’m vegan, he’s not, I was impressed!
Highly recommend spring rolls and the aubergine curry, both 10/10!
The weeping tiger soy dish was a nice flavor but terrible consistency - so tough! The pad Thai was honestly absolutely rubbish, no flavor at all, but was okay when I mixed the noodles with the aubergine curry sauce.
Davide, the Sicilian server, was super nice! Attentive and friendly!
Amazing food, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Not a lot of fussing from the staff but they are around and attentive to needs which creates a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.
The food is so flavorsome and rich without being heavy at all. The calamari was particularly delicious.
Will definitely back again soon!
Had teams lunch here. Amazing Calamari and Beef ginger. They also had Pad Thai as lunch Special for £12. Instead of £14. But none of us ordered. Service could have been little bit more attentive.
So I have come here twice for work lunch. Both times I did have a 4 star experience.
I have had way better, and even authentic, Thai food elsewhere. The chili prawn fried rice is very good. The soyamari appetizer can be good if you are a vegan. The curries are just okay.
I am not a fan of the concept of sharing tables and at Busaba this is expected. The wait staff once did get confused on which guys around the table are in our party.
Every time I come to London I must stop at Busaba! This time Soho has been my favorite location by far. The calamari was the best I've had ever! Not to mention the green curry is to die for.
Delicious quick and easy dinner at Busaba Soho. Service was great and it had a nice atmosphere-even seated at a share table. We had spring rolls roti pad Thai and tamarind duck, which was the highlight.
Always great atmosphere and food at this Thai restaurant in soho. We had to queue for 5 min as the place was pretty full and I nice seated the food arrived really quickly! Delicious!
Beyond incredible, truly! This place deserves five stars hands down. Thrilled to have found it by complete accident. The food was superb, the drinks were delicious, the service very helpful. Left talking about it for days after.
food quality is so good, everything is so fresh and well portioned💙
recommend to everyone
Good restaurant, great location and service is good overall. The staff at the door welcoming and seating people could have been better in communication with guests.
Very busy especially at weekends so definitely recommend booking ahead. Tables are shared with more than one group so you might end up seating next to people you don't know.
Food is good and good portions size and reasonably priced for central London prices, good variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
B'S HONEST REVIEW ♡
Lovely location, very spacious & I the love the concept of sitting of a big table .. even though you have to possibly sit with strangers there Is somthing really cool about everyone eating all together. There is window seats that are a little more private.
The decor is so beautiful, zen ambiance but very modern feel to it.
The staff are lovely, helpful with recommendations & personable.the food was delicious I have had many pad thais but this onw is on my top 5 thai places to eat out in london. My friend had a katsu curry, we both had mockatils . A guava and a coconut mocktail.
10/10 I would come again
The best Thai food in London. Every dish is a delight to your taste buds. Perfectly spiced and bursting with flavour. The calamari in particular was divine. Meals come out quickly but you don't feel rushed. Friendly service. I can not recommend highly enough.
Absolutely delicious! We showed up for an early dinner Friday night before a show and Busaba did not disappoint! We each ordered a pad Thai (chicken and classic) and had some spring rolls to share. The portions were great and service was awesome and fast. Left with full bellies and happy energy. Definitely recommend because the menu has plenty of options for very reasonable prices.
I was enticed into this restaurant by the outdoor A frame sign with a picture of a chicken Pad Thai. Lovely warm timber interior and very pleasant and attentive staff. I ordered the chicken pad Thai with lime and peanut topping and was not disappointed. Just delicious! I would like to go back before leaving London
Lovely atmosphere, extremely friendly and helpful staff, amazing choice of vegan dishes.
I loved the way Denise welcomed us, very friendly yet professional, and the kind service of Davide and his contagious smile.
Food was delicious, and as a vegan I particularly appreciate the wide range of vegan dishes they offer.
Would definitely recommend!
Overall a very lovely Thai restaurant with great food. There were many options to choose from, with each dish costing from £13-20. A good evening, even if the food wasn’t quite to my taste.
