I’ve been to Yama Momo a few times and I would highly recommend the volcano roll. It is definitely the best thing on the menu . Everything else was also delicious but the volcano roll is what stands out. The lychee martini is a good go to cocktail as well. Food is good but I would say it’s pretty expensive.
Excellent local Japanese restaurant.. We have been enjoying special events here the last couple of years, especially in July - my birthday and wedding anniversary month! Fresh and delicious sushi rolls, chased with a delectable array of cocktails! Perfect!
Super nice to have a decent local sushi place without having to go up central. The luxury sashimi platter was amazing and the beef buns were definitely our favourite! We tried all the happy hour cocktails and every single one was lovely! That is coming from serious wine drinkers too! Overall great experience, great food, and great service.
We've been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Really glad we are able to come back, sit, relax and enjoy. Food is always on point and consistent. Staff is super friendly, warm and welcoming. Everyone works really hard and it's nice to watch the Chef's at work if you sit up front. Lovely sushi rolls, cocktails, saki and desserts. We will be back!

The food here is stunning, you really do get what you pay for. Everything is fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. The cocktails are absolutely delicious too. I need to go back and try more of everything! Staff are friendly and very efficient. I will be back
Overall, it was a good experience. Most of the food was very delicious indeed. The scallops were shockingly awful. The drinks were excellent but took an absolute age to come to the table, Yama Momo lost making more money from me as I was sitting for long periods of time with an empty glass as I was happy to buy plenty more. The place was very busy, I recommend more bar staff to keep up with the demand for cocktails as I know it is time consuming making such creative beverages. All three of us had a great night, though. Thank you to all of the staff as they were friendly and polite.

The chefs at Yama Momo are a serious talent, some of the best Japanese cuisine I have ever tasted. Been here a few times and hasn’t disappointed yet, left dreaming of the food when not here. Highlights scallops, truffle steak and the black cod is to die for. They also make mean cocktails. Staff friendly and service relaxed
The New Year's menu was amazing! Especially aubergine dynamite beef and black cod. Absolutely delicious!

Lovely food, tasty sushi, great service.
We were served by Dharan who was very attentive and organised a birthday treat (and a song!) for my partner and me after I complained that my special request for a candle with the dessert for my partner's birthday was ignored. Dharan said he was not made aware and wouldn't let us leave until everything was sorted. All staff were great but Dharan went above and beyond for us.
Would recommend and come back again.
One of the best Japanese restaurants I've been too. What a treat and got to sit right at the back of the restaurant.
When arriving the staff were super friendly and very helpful with the menu and drink choices, it was a smooth experience.
I ended up staying right till the end as the time flew by.
An excellent choice of dishes to choose from, sushi to grill meats and right across the board.
Cocktails are so delicious, and a nice effort was made from them.
Transport wise, easy to park in and around the area and North Dulwich station is just around the corner.
Overall, very lovely and I hope you have the same experience or makes you want to go.

Amazing place to eat Japanese in Lordship Lane. You can’t try at least once in your life.
We started with spicy edamame, grilled scallops, Salt and chilli pepper squid and chickens gyoza.
After, definitely you have to, Yama Momo special lobster volcano yummy 🤤 and tuna and truffle mayonnaise. Bottle of Picpoul to match the food.
Highly recommended, I feel like that 5 star it’s not enough.
Really lovely sushi restaurant in Dulwich, I have been here twice and every time the customer service has been top tier. Would definitely recommend getting the volcano roll and sashimi.
Once again Yama Momo didn’t disappoint. Gorgeously fresh sashimi, sensational sushi (particularly the tuna and truffle mayo and the salmon and sea bass nigiri) hot light black cod tempura, chilli squid and a whole lot more! The 20% off at lunchtime was an added and unexpected bonus. Service was friendly and fantastic and made for a really enjoyable lunch. So pleased this is one of our locals and that it was buzzy and busy yesterday as so keen for it to stay.
Good food, reasonably priced. Service was friendly but a little slow as there was a birthday party group when we visited. Would return and recommend for a local Japanese.
Where do I begin! This place was fantastic. We had to wait 15 minutes after our reservation time but it was well worth the wait in every sense of the word. We were served by Angela who provided excellent recommendations on food and was so lovely from start to finish. The scallops, lamb cutlets, lobster roll, and pork belly were the stars of the evening.
Miso with cod was delicious. The flavours in all the food were great. It's more Japanese fusion than Japanese. I had a Korean Old fashioned cocktail which I enjoyed. Wine was also tasty. Downside: we booked for 9pm on Friday as only other option was 6pm which was too early for me. We waited 20 minutes outside before our table was ready so not a great start to an already late dinner. They were very apologetic once we highlighted this.
