A warm ambience, great beer, feels like a great pub to hang out at. This was my first pub visit while I was in London and I liked it. Hard to choose one since there are so many around.
There is a restaurant upstairs but we liked the vibe downstairs better. Merry with beer!
I also ordered a classic pie with peas and liked it very much :)
Had been here in the last week of June. One of my best finds in London. This place is cozy, warm and probably the best in Soho to spend a lazy afternoon. The staff was extremely helpful and offered us the options to taste the Ales prior to ordering. The local brews were excellent and we didn't had to take much time to make our choice. The food - yummy even for my palate that loves spice!
We - family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids - had a Sunday lunch at the Lyric and we definitely enjoyed it. Nice atmosphere, very good food (glad we had the opportunity to experience the Sunday roast) good beer and friendly stuff. The upper room has a nice fireplace which makes the atmosphere cozy. Hope to come back again soon, highly recommended!
Popular tourist public house that serves pub grub. T.V. for sports and generally a feel-good atmosphere. Staff friendly and funny folk. 😁 many thanks for the fabulous afternoon. 👌
Lovely little pub, in need of some TLC and toilet extremely small, waitress didn't seem very happy but the bar staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and only £6.95 for a lovely meal and a soft drink.
Great pub in the heart of Soho - visit on a Sunday to enjoy the sharing roast - fantastic!
Good range of beers and great people.
Excellent pub with a choice of 9 Real Ales. 7 of the 9 had changed in the last week. Food and beer very reasonably priced for a pub that is a few minutes from Piccadilly Circus
A fairly quiet pub in the middle of Soho, madness!
We have lunch here as a large group and everyone enjoyed it. Food was great and a good price for London. Would definitely come again.
Stopped in after walking all day, exhausted and ready for some food and drinks. Bartender was really nice. We came in from Wisconsin, USA and the bartender actually knew Wisconsin because he'd just had some others in wearing "cheese heads" (it's a weird, Wisconsin/Green Bay Packer Football thing) so kind of funny and cool. The fish was giant, the chips were good my daughter loved her burger. The atmosphere was chill and nice. Mostly older people settled in drinking and chatting at the time. We enjoyed our stop at this little pub.
They have a wide variety of beers on tap (around 22 I think I heard). We went for a Sunday roast and every single plate was left spotless. Three of us had the pork roast and we all agreed the extra crunch at the top was amazing. We all left full, however one of my friends said that "it was so good I could also have it for dinner".
Service was very good as well, as all staff members were polite and friendly.
We will come back.
This is really a hidden gem in the centre of soho. Not many know this place is a restaurant in addition to a pub but honestly one of the best roasts and best value roasts I’ve had in a long time. I ordered the sharer roast at the recommendation of staff who are all absolutely amazing and super willing to give recommendations. The portion is generous and the price given how mental some London prices are.
The veg was all delicious from the cheese cauliflower to the parsnips. The meats were juicy and the chips I ordered in the side were crisp and delicious.
Probably will be my go to roast spot. I will also say you have to book by email but I actually like this because it filters out lazy people and also means it’s within the realm of possibility to book a place within the week.
Great pub with a traditional back street boozer feel. Nice escape from the hustle and bustle outside. Relatively small pub buy felt quite roomy on a Saturday night with lots of open space to stand in. A bit treacherous down steep steps to the Gents toilets! Great selection of beer and good mix of people. Nice community feel.
A great spot to have some English traditional food. Probably a bit pricey but it's in SOHO so not surprising. Best part? Our server was awesome. During this crazy heatwave he's been bringing his fans from home to offer relief from the heat for the customers. And he has fiercely cool nails.
This is a must pub if you visit nearby
They have nice selection of beers and staffs are super friendly
They would recommend you upon your preference
First time in this lovely little pub and what a gem. Great service from the two lads serving on the afternoon 11/06/23 and superb beers at great prices for Soho, the Big Smoke Solaris was very easy drinking, in fact we enjoyed it so much we went back after eating at the Soho food festival. Looking forward to returning, highly recommended authentic London pub with a terrific atmosphere.
friendly and fast staff, pub feels cosy and less touristy than many places. absolutely loads on tap and they're happy to let you have a taster before you make a choice which is always appreciated. they didn't make me feel rushed despite there being quite a few people at the bar! good menu. toilet was quite grubby and rubbed down was my only gripe, but it was a busy day so I'm sure and I hope it's not always like that
Can’t beat their sandwich+drink deal, and cool classic atmosphere!
Convivial, mixture of ages and ethnicities and great range of beer served with a smile. We asked for glass rather than plastic and got it as we were drinking inside. Not bad price for the area and not rammed !
