A very lovely place in Stoke Newington, tastefully decorated. Food is a nice reflecting of the scenario and philosophy: simplicity and deliciousness. The staff is so friendly, with genuine full smiles and a concern to host the best experience ever. My partner and I split a two 2 course meals: the asparagus starter (with a very nice sauce), a main of sake and octopus crumble (the sake fillet was great, with a nice green salsa) and Cumbrian beef (delicious, sooo tender), and a sort of strawberry and olive oil panacotta (sounded weird but it was very tasty). Also complimentary with the meal was a seaweed sourdough bread with brown butter, incredibly tasty, butter was very creamy and the bread was fresh out of the oven. All things considerate, on spite of the price, it was really good. Food cooked to perfection, from mains to sides: the tomato and lettuce salads were packing such a punch. Recommended

Super cute restaurant in Newington Green. We popped in on a Saturday evening and they kindly welcomed and showed us a table for 2 even without booking (we got lucky, I recommend booking in advance). The atmosphere is fantastic. Very warm, nice lights and nice tunes. Cutlery is in little drawers on the table along with the menu, which I found fun. We had bread and butter, meat and pasta. All were super delicious. The portions are a tad small and is prices above average but we were so very happy with everything we had. Strongly recommend bread and butter especially, it was dreamy.

Spectacular! 3 of us for a birthday lunch on Saturday and I’m still thinking about the food. Shout out to Juste for the service, wine rec’ was perfect. The food was astonishing.. Genuinely seasonal, beautifully plated and incredibly balanced. Their Panisse should be a national dish and whoever is sourcing the produce I hope wins all the awards. Coming back for date nights and special occasions.

Tried Perilla with high expectations and unfortunately I was left a little disappointed. The decor and setting was beautiful - the individual drawers with cutlery and the menu was a great touch! The service was professional but curt. The pasta we ordered was very bland and ended up being taken off our bill. The mushroom crepe and seafood dish were above average.

A wonderful local restaurant deserved of all the acclaim! From the more than accommodating staff, to the vibey soundtrack and ofcourse the delicious food! The brown butter is straight out of heaven , paired with WARM bread (I know I sound easily pleased but so many restaurants miss this!). Overall a wonderful experience. The attention to detail at Perilla is unmatched - from the beautiful hand crafted tables with menu/cutlery slots to the presentation of the food. Our highlights were the French onion soup w croquettes.

Incredible night at Perilla celebrating a birthday. We got the tasting menu and required it gluten free as we had a celiac with us. Kitchen staff very kindly offered to swap out a non-gluten-free option with one that is (it was also double the price, and it was their favourite dish of the night - the monkfish). Incredible freshness in every dish and such amazing tastes. The grilled strawberries and custard at the end was incredible also. I have been recommending this place to everyone. Pictured is the strawberries, lamb and mushroom crepe.

I really loved this place! We went on a Sunday so it was a set menu and it did not disappoint! The bread and dishes were incredible! The interior was really cozy and the staff was so friendly. I would definitely go here again. I really recommend it for a fancy night out in East London. You should check first if there are any reservations available.

Very modern dishes and superbly prepared, service was good, but I do wonder whether it was value for money. In fact, don't go if you're looking for value, just enjoy the cuisine, service and surroundings, and get someone else to pay, like I did (thank you WC x)

Good food, especially the fish and vegetarian options. Nice decor and good vibe. Bit pricy for portion size.

I am in love with Perilla and will be coming back for sure! We went there on a Sunday evening, and so it was a set menu. The staff is welcoming and very gentle, the atmosphere inside is relaxed but curated and so it's the decor. We took 2 dishes each with a glass of red wine and spent 96£ total which is fair. I like that the service charge is included ti the table. Starting from bread and butter, you'd think how can this be special?! Well, instead it is here at Perilla. As starters we've ordered a veggie soup and bruschetta with horseradish salad and curated beef and both were absolutely flavourful. I needed more bread for scarpetta in the soup 🤣. The main, which was beef came in a sharing plate with a side of salad and a variety of veggies. The meat was absolutely fantastic, the salad was amazing as each leaves had its condiment and the sides were really good. As I don't love beens, I would have appreciated more of the other vegetables but that's just personal preference! Definitely give it a try!

Overall a wonderful experience. The attention to detail at Perilla is unmatched - from the beautiful hand crafted tables with menu/cutlery slots to the presentation of the food. Our highlights were the French onion soup w croquettes. We also ordered the lamb which was pleasant. Wine was great too. The chard crepe lacked flavour and seasoning however. Will return

I loved how well thought out everything here is, from the food itself to the cutlery drawers in the table to the service charge already included in the price. We were celebrating our anniversary and we thoroughly enjoyed!

Incredible set menu experience here with fresh food, great service and delightful flavour combinations. Indulged in the set menu with the mushroom carbonara and the custard tart being the evenings highlight. This one has been on the London bucket list for a while now and a belated V day date night didn't dissapoint. Will be back one day for sure.
