Stopped here for a wee pint and had a lovely time. I came in just after opening and had no issues getting a seat. I got a cider, while my husband had a Guinness. Food took a little too long, but I was enjoying my time there. To eat we got the beef pie and the confit of pork belly. All were very tasty and authentic to pub food.

Best spot we’ve visited in London so far. We tried to order the house’s specialties and they didn’t disappoint. Mac and Cheese was superb with the Garlic bread, and although surprising, the Banana flavored Old Fashion was a great touch. The banana is subtle and not overpowering. Service was great, the food came out fast and everyone was very attentive and cordial.
Only stopped off for a drink & chat. Good selection of beer. Medium-sized pub with plenty seat in. The food did look. Friendly staff.

Amazing pub with very tasty food. We decided to try to burgers but everything on the menu looks delicious. Staff was lovely and courteous.Would definitely come back ans recommend it !
I recently visited this cozy pub, and my overall experience was quite enjoyable. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. While I had a great time, I must note that the cask selection left a bit to be desired for my personal taste (this is very subjective).
You have to try bloody marry. Furkan is the best bartender. You should ask him for cocktails and will listen him for a long. The pub has also very good location and atmosphere.
Such a lovely, cosy little pub with friendly staff & an incredible selection of beers on draft. It can get busy so coming at a less popular time might be a good shout.
The prices are very good, considering the location, and there's a great vibe at the bar.
The menu looks good as well.
We had So much fun at The 🐐 Goat Tavern. We stopped in after exploring Kensington Gardens. It was warm outside and the tavern Air Conditioning was a welcome relief ☺️. The decor is so cute, and I loved the history of this tavern. Historically, there were tunnels connecting Kensington Palace to this establishment that Royals regularly used to visit the Tavern- how 😎 cool is this? The beer amd food was delicious, and staff were so friendly. Egest was an amazing bartender 🙂
🚇 High Street Kensington
🍺 £6.30 Estrella
❤️ The oldest pub on Kensington High Street.
.
This pub is located on busy Kensington High Street and is just a stone’s throw away from Kensington palace. High Street Kensington tube station is a five minute walk away.
.
The Goat Tavern started life as a coffee shop back in 1695 and developed in to a pub a few years later, this was due to William III building Kensington Palace and needing somewhere for his minions to swill some ale. This pub also has a darker story to tell, in 1944 John Haigh “The Acid Bath Murderer” met his first victim here, he later went on to murder eight more victims disposing of all their bodies in sulphuric acid 😳.
.
Today this pub is dwarfed by the surrounding buildings and looks somewhat underwhelming. This is a Greene King pub which has their green and gold signage above the door which for me looks horrendous and not in keeping with the building.
.
The internal decor here is traditional which creates an old world ambiance to the place. There are lots of comfy sofa benches, dark wood panelling throughout and proper pub carpet at either end of the bar.
.
The beer choice was full of familiar favourites including some cask ales. I decided on a pint of Estrella, my pint was great and cost just over six quid. There is food available here which is mainly pub classics, fish & chips costs £16.49.
.
The service was top notch, the fella who served me was welcoming and chatty. The pub was fairly busy and the atmosphere was relaxed. There were a number of tourists in attendance from across Europe, America and China all enjoying ye olde pint in ye olde pub, or so they’ll tell.
.
The @thegoat_kensington has good beer, great service, a nice atmosphere and I loved the decor but please @greeneking_official change the external signage 🙏🏻.

Cracking little pub in a lovely part of London. We were there after wandering round London all day, very knackered, tired and thirsty and this boozer just hit the spot. Good range of beers for the blokes and cocktails for the girls, or vice verse, depending on your taste. Food was excellent, just what we were looking for and the staff are very friendly and easy to chat to, even for a Glaswegian from the darker parts of Scotland, but as they said, "you get all types in here". Won't hesitate to return there next time we're in London. Recommend
I got my Fish 'n Chips fix with a nice beer to top it off.
We had dinner there and it was ok. Good amount of food, good quality -although the price was a little high, the usual in that area of the city. They did not have much variety in beers, which was weird. And we did not have the feeling of being in an old tavern.
Apart from that, I suppose everything was ok.

Reserved a table here for lunch after reading reviews as needed a venue close to Kensington Palace. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and arrived promptly and good value for money.
