Really, delicious food. Variety of salad options as well as desserts a bit expensive but still it’s worth. Actually Ottelenghi was a French chef.
Hearty and healthy, it is no wonder that Ottolenghi has gained such a reputation, particularly amongst the infamously discerning "Notting Hill Mothers."
The fresh juices and exquisite salads are my personal favourite. In particular, the aubergine salad is like no other and truly encapsulates the unique take on Mediterranean cuisine that the restaurant strives-for. Although somewhat pricey, I assure you that the food IS worth the premium; ingredients are the best and the flavours are incredible.
Even better, for those of you who get as addicted as myself, customers are able to purchase dishes to take home. An Ottolenghi side-salad can spice-up any mundane home-cooked dish.

I took the opportunity to visit Ottolenghi when visiting Lindon as I like very much its cuisine that varies between Mediterranean and fusion. The eggplant salad was amazing. Very well seasoned and delicious. I could not stop. Recommended 👍👍👍
Came by to try the flourless chocolate cake but was tempted with the breakfast menu. Finally chose to order the scrambled eggs with salmon. The portion was so big. It came with sour cream, salad and sour dough. The doughs were very soft. Salmon was a bit salty for me but the scrambled eggs were amazing. Service was excellent (staffs were very friendly and all smiley). Lastly, the flourless chocolate cake tasted very nice!
Better for a take out than sit in. Lovely cakes, had the orange almond cake at the recommendation of one of the works. Latte was good but small. Brownie is one of the best in London, but a tad too sweet for me. No wifi. Good service
Delicious cakes, pastries and coffee! This place is quite small so you might have trouble finding a spot to eat in. But our large group were there early and the staff were so helpful and kind and managed to seat us. We were already thinking of doing take-away but it was much nicer to eat in.
The macadamia cheesecake was aaaaaamazzzzinggggg! The croissant was soft yet crispy and flakey on the outside, yum! The cinnamon pretzel was soft and delicious and it was more of a donut texture.
the 0.5 missing would be the seats. I haven't quite figured out why there couldn't be more seats.
Food was flavoursome and if you look for hot food maybe it's not the best place - but they are real good regarding my experience in london for scene.
My absolute favorite bakery/cafe in London. The selection of scrumptious pastries and croissants and cakes makes it extremely difficult to actually choose so I always walk away with more than I can eat :)
Perfect lunch place to, grab great fresh sandwiches and salads
My only comment is I wish they would take it a step further and make it a cafe with more seating
This place has some good takeaway food and took a salad, which was delectable, but a little too expensive. I tried to ask the staff how much would be sufficient for a person, and they didn't seem to have an idea, so not the best service either, as I was hungry even after I had my exorbitantly priced salad.
I had a wonderful experience at this place. The place offers delectable food and the salads are a must-have here. The the cakes were also very delicious. The service is good and the staff is extremely friendly and hospitable. I would definitely recommend this place and would surely visit again.
By far the most amazing salad collection and variety to choose from. If you happen to be a person who loves desserts then this is the place for you. From the cakes to the pies to the ice creams, this place has it all and serves amazing desserts. The staff is very attentive and the service is very efficient. Strongly recommended.
It has a very pleasant and a calm environment. The ambiance is very soothing and relaxed. I really had a good time here. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The food is delicious and not that expensive too. We ordered salads, salmon and desserts in the end. We were quite content with the delivery of the food and their services.
I did not have a great experience at the sister joint of this place ,but my experience here, changed that for good. The seating arrangement here is of the communal long sharing table type. The incredible looking food on display then is then extremely appetizing. The taste of the food too matches up to the presentation and is truly amazing. You have to try the beautiful salads here!
The restaurant has a basic canteen feel to it. But the food is a happy surprise. It is delectable and sumptuous. the portion sizes are more than generous and the prices are reasonable. They serve excellent coffee and desserts. The decor is made of simple chairs and long tables. Highly recommended.
We had always been enticed into trying this place. Being huge fans of Ottolenghi and using their cookbooks for learning recipes, we are always glad to eat here. We had a fresh and delectable salad and passion fruit tart! Mouthwatering! HIgh quality and healthy food! Takeaway is brilliant as well!
The restaurant is more suitable for takeaways rather than dining on site. The food is incredible in taste and generous in portion sizes. The staff is decent. There are few tables on the outside to enjoy a good weather. The restaurant gives an unmatched view of the nearby market place.
This pretty little place is very near to my work place so i keep coming here quite often. The food is appealing and appetizing and the atmosphere as well is vibrant and lovely. The ingredients with which the dishes are prepared seem very fresh and nice. The only downer i felt in my meal was their tuna which seemed stale.
I bumped into this pastry shop by accident and what a happy accident! The lemon pistachio cake is pure heaven. The servers at the restaurant are very friendly. The ambiance is cool and relaxed. The various desserts on display look tempting and do not disappoint upon tasting. The prices are also reasonable.
Is a healthy restaurant, started by a renown chef from Israel. There are already a couple restaurants in London.
The atmosphere is fresh and the staff is very friendly. The crowd is a mixture between families, groups of friends and couples.
Their is an a la Carte menu but also a displayed buffet where one can choose different dishes. The dishes are mostly vegetable based and filled with delicious flavors. This restaurant makes healthy food taste good.
I would recommend the salmon and the eggplant dish both are tasty.
I highly recommended this restaurant for vegetarians!
I needed a break from studying and the continuous downpour we’ve had this week in London, so my Nonna and I decided to meet at Ottolenghi in Notting Hill for some lunch. I love everything about this place, the freshness of the ingredients, the inventiveness of the flavor combinations, and the way the food and pastries are spread out, reminiscent of a candy shop display.
I chose Saffron couscous with roasted cauliflower, pomegranate seeds, flaked almonds, and dill, coriander sweet potato wedges with poppy seeds, coriander, chilli, lemon grass and sour cream, and delicious seared tuna with soy sauce, sesame oil, chili, ginger and spring onion sauce. Every bite was packed with contrasting flavors that combined to create a surprising, but delectable taste. We sat at the back of the restaurant where one table that seats about ten stands with a stunning, massive flower arrangement. The atmosphere is intimate and customers happily chat to each other as a result of the close proximity. After our chat, I had a beautiful passionfruit meringue cupcake – the perfect end to a beautiful lunch.
One of my favourite places in Chelsea - and there is fierce competition :)
This time, we were there for lunch. Sea bream was excellent, and the salads we took were divine: (1) garden peas, (3) cauliflower, (3) potatoes.
We also had coffee - the coffee is great, we were very pleased with it!
And the 2 cakes we took were a success: carrot cake, and banana-tahini cake.
Last time we were here, we came in for breakfast. My mum is still talking about the shakshuka she had there... It was that good! So highly recommended all day long!
Get a table, if you can.
I was here for dessert and coffee . I tried the raspberry cheesecake and the chocolate brownie and both are more than great , especially the raspberry cheesecake which was just perfect . The sugar and the cream are perfectly balanced I would definitely recommend it.
I had to wait for more than 45 minutes to sit outside but understandable as they were so busy.
I came again and tried the salad which was amazing. You get to choose three kinds I tried roasted potatoes and aubergine and cauliflower all were just perfect you must try them !
Went to Ottolenghi with family on a Sunday. Had to wait 30 minutes for a table. When we were seated at a table we sat with two strangers. Acceptable given the limited large tables they have, and I would rather share a table than wait another 30 minutes. The service was fine given how busy they were. The food was fantastic despite being cold/room temperature. It was cooked and at one time and it wasn't like it sat out and got cold but rather I assume the cold temperature of the food was intentional. Again the food was great just another unexpected norm. I appreciated the creativity of the food, perhaps the best I've had in London. It left me feeling clean and healthy.
I was expecting a lot better but I will be revisiting as I think I came on an off day for them.
To begin with there is no booking and it’s a very popular place so expect to queue, we were able to put our name down on a list.
There was lacking of variety in cakes available today and so we picked a lemon layer cake and a carrot and walnut cake. Simple cakes but done well, very moist. However both of these had cream cheese icing which was pretty strong, I’d expect this from a carrot cake but not a lemon drizzle!
The service is slow and the atmosphere inside is loud, busy and overall a bit chaotic.
I was also overcharged on the lemon cake (only noticed once I’d left) and thought generally the prices were too high.
I’ve had better cake elsewhere .
30 minute wait. Great food and service and we also had a delicious cheesecake which was not too heavy.
The desserts in this place are out of this world. They not only taste amazing but they look beautiful too. I ended up buying the "Vanilla and blackberry cupcake" and the "Caramel and macadamia cheesecake" and both were amazing! It is a little expensive but the taste is so worth it. Even though there was quite a queue there were enough staff that it went quickly. The only down is how small the sitting space is inside!! Would have loved to stay but no room!
Really fresh delicious salads!! Very well seasoned. For takeaway you can build your own box and pay by weight. Staff are really helpful and friendly :)
Another place I managed to visit from Ottolongi. Very cute but seats only 8. Maybe a better take away option.
Update!
Went back and had salad, sat outside as weather was perfect! The atmosphere and vibes was just so relaxing! Aubergine salad with tahini was delicious and full of flavour! Will recommend it and cant wait to go back!
I follow Ottolenghi and love his recipes so I have been wanting to visit. I was fasting so unfortunately did not dine in but I took away a slice of lemon cake. The lemon cake taste is on pointe! Full of flavour and not dry! I cant wait to go back and try more food. Inside the chelsea branch they sell also all cook books, spices, oils! Loved the store and prices good.
Went here during Chelsea Flower Show, it was good food but slow service. I suppose we were lucky to get a seat. I’d like to come back again when it isn’t so busy.
If you are hungry and want something in the same exact moment this restaurant is for you!
The food is pre made and displayed for you to choose and eat within 3/4 mins
They have a great selection of desserts
On a sunny day enjoy the weather by sitting outside 💓
Amazing grab and go option
Loved the menu - original mostly middle eastern salads chicken, fish, meat and one other for main. The food was fab and the deserts or cakes - delicious and I am not a sweets person. Very impressed will go again definitely
One of the loveliest hidden gyms I would say , while I kept having different kind of recommendations in London, I stumbled upon this place while going to another nearby breakfast spot , all these beautiful cakes and pastries displayed are simply irresistible you can’t just pass by without having to stop wanting to try them which led us to get inside , there was a little wait and appreciate how friendly and welcoming the staff were even though it was a lunch time while most people there went for a proper meal , we just wanted to have coffee and try some of the cakes , the staff made us feel totally welcomed and had a very pleasant experience. Unfortunately we were not hungry otherwise we would loved to try the lunch too. Highly recommended
There’s no reservations here so you just line up and wait for a table. When we came, there was no line at the front desk but it took at least 5 minutes for anyone to come to us which was a bit annoying because we weren’t sure anyone was going to come at all. When someone did come, they told us it would be a 20 minute wait, which was okay with us - it only ended up being about 10. Other than that initial part, the service was friendly, especially our servers. They took our orders quickly and were attentive. The breakfast delicious and definitely made with quality ingredients. The halva and chocolate danish was great and I only wish we tried more of their pastries.
Absolutely amazing meal, drinks, service, and desserts. My meal was a vegetarian plate that I choose three options available from nice sized list (there is a four choice option also). I had roasted eggplant, a mash, and tomato salad. Every bit of it was delicious. My waitress was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. She made wonderful suggestions for me and was attentive without hovering. I had a cold pressed juice with strawberry, apple, and basil which was refreshing and sweet but not too sweet. In addition, I took home a tart ( also suggested), that was everything you could hope for in a dessert. This restaurant is an absolute must for vegetarians to experience.
We got 2 plates of salad and sea bass to share. It was a little bit confusing to pick what to choose, however, the staff were very helpful and advised us on what to get according to how hungry we were. With this help, we nearly tried all the salads available that day - they were absolutely amazing and very filling.
Although on the more expensive side for a salad, it is defintely worth it for the aesthetic and the taste of the food (they are very unique)
I did try to save space for the l desserts but I had no space ! Next time I’ll start with them :)
