One of the best places to eat well decorated muffins and delicious chocolate brownies topped with melty cream. I took one brownie followed by a red velvet cupcake. Heavenly amazing
Visited this place with my friends on my trip to london! Amazing variety of desserts!!!! The cupcake window is so enticing! Loved their red velvet cupcake and chocolate brownie cupcake! 💯 Very small place with single seating standing chairs, good for take away! Absolute delight!
This chain has never let me down when it comes to their cupcakes. I've visited this branch, the one in Notting Hill and one in Dubai(Dubai Mall). They say their red velvet cupcakes are the most popular but their black bottom cupcakes are even better! Best sugar fix
Absolute delight!
You can't go wrong with any of the cakes and the staffs recommendations are also on point!
They taste fresh they taste moist and they're extremely satisfying to all you guys with a certain weakness for deserts
However they're not all on the sweet side since they've covered the salt as well
Must try! Any flavour trust me you'd still be satisfied
I was lucky enough to take home the last mini mississippi mud pie from the Hummingbird bakery. It's not so mini, which is obviously a good thing. You could share it with someone - If you're feeling generous!. A thick layer of dense
There isn't a single thing to fault about the cakes! I had the Salted Caramel, Red Velvet and the (staff recommended) Black bottom cupcakes; moist with just the right amount of sweetness, perfectly frosted and presented. If calories didn't matter, I would sit here all day and eat all the cake they had (and probably come back the next day to do the same thing) honest. Sigh.
An awesome dessert and bakery place. The best red velvet cupcakes I have ever had. Simply indulging and irresistible. MUST TRY!
Recommendation- red velvet cupcake, frosted chocolate brownie, rainbow cake!
I have been waiting since FOREVER to go to this bakery and finally got to over the weekend. The bakery looked so cute and inviting which furthered all my excitement.
I got the red velvet cupcake, since it's what the bakery is so famous for, and my friend got the red velvet whoopie pie. We made our way to Soho Square to enjoy our baked goods.
The red velvet cupcake, in terms of presentation, is beautiful. It also tasted great as well. What I loved most about it was that the balance of icing to cake was perfect. This is something so many bakeries struggle with but Hummingbird did it perfectly. The sponge was also moist. However I would not call it the BEST red velvet cupcake ever as the cream cheese icing did not have any proper cream cheese flavor to it. However still good.
My friends whoopie pie was, in my opinion, even better. The cake was dense and the icing flavorful. It was a delicious joy to eat.
I hope to come back in the future to try out their other flavors, especially that carrot cupcake.

Whilst doing some shopping in Soho, we walked past this cute little bakery called The Hummingbird and of course I made Mr D go in and get me a cupcake! . It was teeny tiny in there but that didn’t bother me since I was getting one cupcake and eating it on the go (without sharing it with Mr D of course hohoho!). There were so many yummilicious looking cupcakes and cakes on display but only one flavour caught my eye! CARROT CAKE!
The one bakery which is hard to walk past without grabbing one of those little beauty. The red velvet cupcake is one of the best out there. The long queues are worth the wait!
I can't take a trip to London without visiting Hummingbird in Soho. If I feel I really deserve a special treat I'll go for a slice of their world-famous rainbow cake or a wedge of the decadent chocolate malteser cake. But most of all, I can't resist their salted caramel or nutella cupcakes to devour on the way to the airport...a sweet ending to my London journey!
Perfect cupcakes. Probably best cupcakes in London...You don't feel you eating calories when you taste Hummingrid bakery cupcakes.
Frosting is just perfect: sweet, fluffy and creamy. Cakes is also good under frosting.
Perfect mix, for the best taste !

Amazing cupcakes. The cupcakes are amazing and apparently the coffee is also nice. Great for a quick pitstop although the seating is limited.
Yummy Cupcakes. I had a Black Bottom (chocolate cake with cream cheese icing) and a bite of a Red Velvet one, they were both really good.
More than just cupcakes, whoppie cakes, frosted brownies and cookies all looked great
The cutest little bakery in the heart of Soho that offers a lovely range of well made and presented cupcakes and cakes.
I had wanted to go for a while and finally got the chance to go with some friends. I loved the whole experience. It is hard to find good cake café's around, but Hummingbird's is definitely one of those.
We went for the red velvet cupcakes, they were absolutely divine. You can tell they were made with time, love and care.Â
I will be going back when I next get cupcake cravings!
Is an extraordinary cupcake and cake café. Their selection of cupcakes and cakes is incredible.Â
They offer a wide range from red velvet to carrot to chocolate flavored cakes and cupcakes that will blow your mind. My personal favorite is the red velvet cupcake or cake. The cake is unbelievably good but the piece is enormous so only order it if you are really hungry.Â
You can either eat in or take away. The cafes have a pinkish interior adding to the pretty atmosphere of the place.Â
What I am dying to try is the chocolate cake it looks heavenly!
Love hummingbirds! Their cakes are exceptionally good in particular the red velvet- one of the best ive tried.
They also do wonderful chocolate brownies as well as birthday cakes which are stunning and come in beautiful packaging.
Do you have a sweet tooth? Love cupcakes? Visit hummingbird you will not be disappointed.
The Hummingbird Bakery now boasts a number of sights across the city, offering its super sweet cupcakes to waiting tourists seven days a week.Â
Sadly it is just that: a sight for tourists. There's no buzz, atmosphere, or character to the Hummingbird Bakery, just an Instagram opportunity and a toothache.
The red velvet cupcake is the classic, so I guess if you insist on queuing for a cupcake (since when did cupcakes become a thing you would queue for?) then that's the one to go for...
For anyone who has a sweet tooth, especially one for red velvet cakes, then this cute little bakery is your to go stop! With a whole range of desserts to offer, ranging from lemon cup cakes, to chocolate brownies vanilla cakes and many more! Hummingbird has become especially well known for its perfectly baked, prepared and decorated red velvet cakes with cream cheese frosting! Something I've ordered almost every single time i've visited the bakery.
The bakery located in the heart of soho, is always packed full of customers wanting to be served. Even though the bakery usually has a queue outside, which further emphasises its popularity, the wait is worth it! One drawback is the minimal seating available, this usually means that people usually have to get their desserts in a to go box, which I personally don't mind!
I LOVE CUPCAKES!!!... and the humminbird fulfills my craving!
There is an amazing range of different flavours and they are all decorated beautifully! I love the red velvet ones in particular. They are decently priced and fresh. There is technically seating, although I think you enjoy it more take-away. The anticipation of waiting for the ideal location to dig into the wonderfulness makes the experience even sweeter!
If you're coming here , it has to be for the red velvet , the cupcake and the layered cake both are incredibly good. Apart from the red velvet , I love their classic brownies and the chocolate cupcakes . This place is heaven for everyone who have a sweet tooth !
The best red velvet cupcakes in town! The Hummingbird Bakery has developed a cult following for its scrumptious recipes. If you're a cake lover, you'll feel like you're living a dream.Â
This small and cute bakery is located on Wardour Street, which is usually quite calm compared to nearby streets like Shaftsebury Avenue and Oxford Street. It's 'pretty' image comes from the pink branding and colourful displays of cakes in the windows and shelves throughout.
There is usually a short queue for the cupcakes, but it is definitely worth the wait! Usually people take their cakes away as there is very minimal seating, which is usually always taken.
If you like cakes, this place is a must-go. The best cupcakes I think I've ever had. The most popular are the red velvet but in my opinion the best are the black bottoms. A chocolate cupcake with cheesecake brownie chunks topped with cream cheese icing... Soo..good...
One of the best cupcake joints in London. Gets sold out really quickly. The chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting is my personal favourite. A perfect chocolate fix or rather a chocolate overdose. Totally worth the calories.
The shop looks really cute too with it's colourful display of cupcakes and the price is pretty decent too: A cupcake costs between £2-£3.
It doesn't matter what day or time of the month it is; this is a special place that needs no occasion to enjoy one of those sumptuous red velvet cup cakes!
I have got to say its reputation is true to its name. They have got to be the best red velvet cupcakes I have had in London, and I have had plenty!
The bakery always has fresh produce on display and to take away so you don't have to reach early morning to get the best batch.
The coffee is good but I doubt anyone ever goes into this bakery with coffee on their mind.
Great service! The cake I bought was fresh when eaten 24 hours after it was purchased. They give a cake guide to help you make the most out of your purchase. The packaging was also great to transport. I bought the Red Velvet cake which is suitable for vegetarians as are all of their cakes. It tasted fresh and really nice. Really pleased with the overall experience with Hummingbird!
A nice little bakery with friendly and welcoming staff. There was a small selection of cakes and cupcakes. We got the rainbow cake and it was filled with flavour and had a rich vanilla coating. You also get a lot for your money so don't be afraid to order one slice
I have been wanting to visit here for over a year! It was worth it. Slightly disappointing that the only gluten free option was red velvet but it was delicious!. The sponge was soft and the frosting was the perfect balance of cream cheese.
My husband loved the red velvet brownie!
Please expand the gluten free option to give me more reasons to come back and try something new!
Always get my birthday cakes from here. One of the must try’s of London. The red velvet cupcakes taste like heaven.
Been here a few times, normally get the red velvet cupcakes and hey are amazing, moist and really tasty without being too sweet. Once bought a large chocolate cake for a party, they had made a slight rotor on the writing but refunded me for the whole thing, so can't argue with the service either, very happy
Used this bakery a few times including cupcakes and special birthday cakes. Always super tasty and looks great.
The one time I did want the writing changed because it didn't look great, they were helpful and changed it no problem.
This place is what I imagine heaven to be. I worked walking distance from here so occasionally I’d pop over and get some rainbow cake. The queue is often out the door, but it’s worth the wait. The staff try their best to work as fast as possible. Super delicious,if you’re ever near one make sure you pop in!
Cupcakes are amazing, service is quite good as well. I have had the cakes a couple of times but they are not as good as the cupcakes...
Definitely one of the best in London.
Fantastic service and tasty cake . I ordered a cake to be delivered for my son’s birthday and it arrived on time . I chose the numbers on top and could even add candles . It was delicious !
If you ever want to treat yourself, then this is the place for you. Forget your diet because you're going to love every bite of dreamy desserts they have to offer here.
I went there twice tu try the cakes. Just perfect. Very nice person each time and the cakes are excellent.
I love their cupcakes so much. Visited here everyday just for their red velvets!!
Didn't know they had a store in this place so was pleasantly surprised that it showed up on my maps while I was walking around this area admiring the Christmas lights. Well laid out store with seating options (not much though) and the all so famous collection of cupcakes and cakes. My favourite here has always been the red velvet cake and wish they did few more flavours around chocolate and not just the mile high salted caramel chocolate cake which I always see in store (quite popular I believe).
With recipe books, celebrity fans and a reputation for the best cupcakes in town, my girlfriends expectations were high upon visiting this bakery. While you can get cheaper and just as beautiful cakes elsewhere, it's still worthwhile checking this place out, especially for the famous red velvet cupcakes (red sponge, vanilla cream cheese frosting). Not much space to sit down but great for a sweet treat on the go or to pick up that perfect present.
The Hummingbird Bakery is one of my favourite cupcake and cake bakeries in London. There's an excellent range of delicious cupcakes (with weekly themes such as biscuits or chocolate bars alongside classics such as red velvet and black bottom cupcakes), and large, satisfying slices of regular cakes. There's not a lot of seating but it's unlikely it'll take you more than a couple of minutes to get through whichever treat you've chosen. Some say that their cakes are a little on the sweet/sickly side, but I've a sweet tooth myself and for me they're perfect (in fact I usually have to get a couple). If you like sweet things, you'll love the cakes here.
Really tasty cupcakes, with a wide range of options, including gluten free and vegan alternatives. However, it is definitely worth getting them to takeaway, then finding somewhere to eat them elsewhere. Not only does the place not have many seats, they give a good discount for takeaway (£3.25 instead of £4.45 for example). Pinata cupcakes or regular cakes are a cool idea as well, where the centre of the cake is mnms or other candy.
