The Old Red Cow - London - Photo album

The staff are so lovely. We had an order mix up on our own behalf and the staff were happy to resolve it at no additional cost. The best tasting lamb shank we’ve had in our lives, full of flavour and cooked to perfection. Was definitely worth the visit. Desert was amazing too. Very wide variety of a
Cozy two floor pub with very friendly staff. Close to Farringdon station yet slightly removed from the crazy crowds. We arrived at 1pm for Sunday Roast and sat upstairs. Both the Beef and the pork meals were filling, good tasting and large sized. The extra gravy was a nice bonus. Meals £19ea Exce
The red cow is a fabulous little pub with a magnificent restaurant. The bar is small but go upstairs, where you can eat or just have a drink. They have a good selection of craft beers and wines. 6 of us stayed for Sunday lunch . We all had a roast dinner and it was great value and the food was outs
Wonderfully managed space which will now be the final stop off point of choice from a Great Fire of London Tour. Came in with 30 people and an unflustered staff sorted us out. Small, but lovely and a much appreciated independent in Smithfield......William Wallace was executed near here in 1305. You
Super nice pub right by Farringdon tube. Really nice bars and seating upstairs. 2 bars made it easier to get beers quickly. Would recommend for post work beers 100%.
The Sunday roast dinner is insane. Huge, delicious, fresh and with a side gravy boat just in case the gravy already there wasn’t enough. Goes down lovely with all their tap beers. What a gem
Great to see they are still running, especially with how empty City of London can get with the current situation. Used to work opposite these guys and so popped in now and then few years ago. Love their selection of beers, beautiful choice of ales and lagers. The food is good, had a pie and lamb sh
FOOD REVIEW!: Went in for a bite to eat and was told they start serving at 5pm, definitely worth waiting till 5pm and after as the food was amazing and cooked to perfection. The staff is also very lovely, helpful and will make changes if possible to a dish. Was so good that I went again a few days l
My girlfriend and I are staying in London right now and wanted to get some Fish&Chips to take away because we were so tired and wanted to return to the hotel rather than eat out. They said it was no problem! The woman working the counter was incredibly sweet and got me lots of dips and sauces too! T
Sunday evening dinner (and a few beers) with extended family. It's home cooking, cooked really well. Everyone was friendly. Service was superb. Thought it was an excellent place to have a relaxed dinner.
Nice easy going pub with some good pub grub. I used to come here often years ago as they had an awesome craft beer selection, unfortunately that's gone a bit downhill now. In my recent visit beers were fairly average, had all the usual pale ales you find everywhere now and nothing more special. If y
Great classic pub with Sunday roast and decent selection of pies and pub classics. The pies were lovely and came with an assortment of veggies, mash and extra gravy. Only small feedback is for management to review the chicken goujons from the starters as they didn’t tasted more flour-ey/filling than
Cracking selection of real ales. Dined for a Sunday Roast. We had the beef and chicken, both very good and portion sizes were healthy. Also had the scotch egg starter - bit on the salty side. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area at the weekend.
A proper pub for a cold pint and a bite to eat. The fish and chips were well done. Very relaxed atmosphere for midday on a weekday.
Fantastic roasts.. This is our go to place for our January reunion roast. I couldn't recommend it more. The Yorkshire's are enormous (see pic) and the kale is beautifully garlicky. It's probably wise to book, as it is a small venue and most tables are booked. If I lived in London, I'd def come here
Just brilliant! I came here with my colleagues for our Christmas Do and we had a great time. The food was excellent, generous portions, so tasty and we got extra jugs of gravy. The wine list and the beers/ales on offer had us spoilt for choice and we stayed for more drinks afterwards. Couldn't recom
