I have been visiting Pico bar & grill for many years always very good service, excellent food with very large portions.
Wine list very good selection.
My last visit waiter Adalberto remembered from previous visit gave a very warm welcome back, and is certainly 100%
credit to Pico Bar & Grill for his professionalism to all.
Don't get me wrong all staff are very good, Adelberto just went one step further for complete customer satisfaction.
4 star is often given as should be room for improvement.
Pico from me get a very rare 5 Star rateing.
Two TV screens showing football matches, by no means is this a noisy place, wine dine in comfort.
In the past have recommended this restaurant on more than one occasion, always with good feed back.
In the past have recommended this restaurant to friends on more than one occasion, all came back being completely satisfied.
Attentive and welcoming waiters proving prompt service. Tried the King Prawns with Piri-Piro Sauce which I enjoyed. Also, I ordered the Duck Breast platter which comes marinated in a wine-based sweet sauce which I also liked. For dessert, I had fondant au chocolate was I found okay. The cake tasted good but was dry. There was barely chocolate coming out of it.

I've been going to Picos for nearly 10 years. Had my wedding meal there and I literally go nearly every week. I love the food and the service. It can get very busy which shows how popular it is. The price I think is very reasonable and £20 for a steak including vegetables etc all in is not expensive. The steak still is the best I've ever eaten anywhere and when I take friends for their first time they always have a great meal and comment positively about the whole experience. It's my favourite place in London.
Managed to hit the Pico Bar sweet spot - sunny day sitting outside, decent Tapas for straight-forward price, happy hour drinks.
Decent little Portuguese place in Vauxhall w/ great service and great cerveja.
Im a regular costumer in pico bar grill and i must say that the quality of the service and the food is getting better and better and better . The only thing the place needs updating because its old fashion . The staff is very friendly . Keep up the good work :)
Local to where I work, it's cheap and cheerful with a hood range of tasty food...decor us a bit non existent but apart from that worth trying if in the area
Massive menu, as well as tapas there is pizza, pasta, meat dishes galore. Somehow everything on the menu is good! Great Sagres beer too. Efficient if a little bossy service but that's because they are so busy. Well worth a visit
Cheap and cheerful. Gets very busy once the office workers go there for drinks, but it's well priced and the food is good.
It's very noisy, both from the patrons and the fact that it's built into a large railway bridge, not somewhere for a romantic evening out.
While visiting London for the first time we were walking looking for a place to have supper. My wife had the Vegetable soup and side of fries and I had the Tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce, with a local cider. We both enjoyed our meals, in particular the fresh cut fries.
My family and I ate here to celebrate a birthday. We had a good time.
Lots of bread , butter and spreads to accompany your meal.
Food took a little time to come out.
Pizza has a lot of cheese and not much dough. Maybe avoid the pizza.
The best dishes were the Perri chicken, the spaghetti and breaded chicken.
I would visit again if in the area
Good location being close to Vauxhall station. Quick and professional service. Good comes quickly and is good standard. Always find a table and plenty of space for big groups.
Fabulous restaurant under the railway arches at Vauxhall. You can hear the trains rumbling overhead but you soon forget about them. The staff were friendly, it did feel as though they were rushing you to get on with ordering, particularly between asking about dessert however they did it rush us to pay the bill and leave. Good range of food on the menu
I am sure it would suit all tastes and the food was delicious. The dessert menu was like stepping back in time. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. Certainly worth a try if you are in the area.
We ate here and had a great meal prior to our trip around the UK and Ireland. We returned after our trip and again had a fantastic meal - the best meals of the whole trip. Thank you!
It was a good experience for the first time and waiter really nice , also food was excellent 👌 I really recommend it (waiter was 10/10) *Nicolas*
We regularly ate at Pico Bar & Grill when we lived in London a few years ago, and like most places we used to enjoy & frequent they're all still in business and still offer the same great food and service, and some like Picos have added outside wining and dining.
Pico, a Portuguese restaurant and tapas bar, was very busy on Sunday evening. It's just a two minute walk from Vauxhall Station and has a number of Santander Cycle docking stations scattered nearby, always our favoured mode of transport.
The menu hasn't changed a great deal, why change something that customers enjoy and that clearly works. Also the management is the same so the emphasis on good service runs through the heart of the business in the same way that the railway line runs above it, not that it detracts in anyway as the trains rattle by above.
The garlic mushrooms to start with were a solid starter, nothing too flamboyant, the monkfish lightly cooked in chilli 🌶 was great and the duck breast in red wine sauce was cooked rare and just right.
The Portuguese lager, Sagres, is very light and refreshing. A relaxing couple of hours, enjoying our meal and watching the world go by, as well as Jaguar Land Rover group cars passing on their way to and from the Wimbledon tennis dedicated hotel in Westminster 🎾 almost every couple of minutes or so.
Great food 😋 and great service 👍 at Picos.
Beautiful place with amazing well priced quality food. A small piece of Portugal with something on the menu for everyone. The staff are over attentive to detail and give hospitality as if you were family. A wonderful place for celebrating and enjoying time with family and friends 😊 ❤️
Everything it was absolutely fantastic, as this is my 1st visit everything was fine and great service by the team. Pricing I'm not sure but I felt it was little bit high but I feel it's worth for their service. Hope will visit again personally and will update it.
This well-established Madeiran restaurant is reliable, and I always look forward to their grills, professional waiters and real cotton napkins.
I chose "medium rare" lamb cutlets, and the kitchen lost its fifth star by bringing lamb so rare that it was inedible for me-- but they quickly gave it extra grill time and my six cutlets were delicious. As a huge plate of veggies always comes included with most dishes, I didn't need a dessert (or starter).
And the giant serve of bread with olives as an hors d'oevres, for only about £3, allowed me to take much of it home.
You can view their many cold desserts in the fridge at the back of the dining room.
They do cater for the many local Portuguese speakers by continuosly
playing tele with footie matches in the front bar (if want just a snack) . But the volume is never too loud and annoying.
Parking in the streets behind is pretty easy if you come after hours, or it's easy walking from Vauxhall tube station.
On some evenings I would give Pico a fifth star, as it's ridiculously good value for what you get!
Cozy tapas place and sizes of some of them are way bigger than my expectation. The mussels were great and very reasonably priced. The lamb tapa is tender too, not overly strong lamby.
We add extra topi g on Parma ham on our pizza at extra £1 and it came with liked crazy portion. Great value!
Ambience was lovely with a lot of people. Server is experiences and helpful.
Went for something to eat after the cricket. Good menu and food, really friendly service and decent value. Recommended.
My favourite restaurant in all of London, I've been visiting here for years, the service is attentive and professional. The drinks are varied and well served and the food is, well, phenomenal. They do an excellent job to impress each and every visit and I look forward to returning for many years to come!
Decent food and service. We went as a large group and they handled it well, food served mostly at the same time, tasted nice. I think they need to reduce the menu a bit and focus on doing fewer items better than lots of items adequately, but nothing we chose was done poorly and everyone had a great time. I like the location, close enough to public transport but not on the high street. Interesting when the trains are going overhead!
