Good thing we found this restaurant on our last night in London. The area is small, probably so that you can feel the 'Japanese vibe'.
Service was quite slow given that there's no other customer besides us.
They have the best tasting Yaki Udon. It's worth the visit!
We ordered 4 sashimi (akami, saba, salmon, suzuki) and 3 maki roll dishes (california, spicy scallop, house special roll).
All sashimi and maki was delicious. I don't favour sushi prepared with beef and would not recommend the house special rolls with rib-eye beef should you share my assessment.
We've paid £50 for two green tea, steamed rice and service incl.
I would recommend the restaurant as a good Japanese option in the Earls Court neighbourhood.
Good food. Reasonable pricing. Nice service. Small portions.
Paul the octopus was right all along, Spain are now World Cup winners, and I should have put some money behind his choices. Sorry to have been away from the blog for so long, I've been out in the sun you see, chasing sushi dreams. Here's the first report,
Delicious Japanese cuisine and a nice ambience. A reservation was not necessary in the afternoon and we were able to place our order directly via a QR code at the table. Only the food and drinks we ordered were delivered to us. Very tasty, hot and good quality. The prices were really fair. So be sure to stop by if you fancy Japanese cuisine :)
The Japanese menu offered an impressive selection. The food was good, but not great. The space needs a renovation and looked like the business was more focused on delivery service than in house restaurant customers.
What a great little place! Popped in last night as I'm in London for a couple of days. The restaurant is small but cosy. Service was faultless, I had help choosing and ended up having a fantastic meal. If I am ever in the area again, I'm not going anywhere else. Best of all, everyone else in there was Asian, which tells you it's definitely the real deal. If you like good Japanese food at reasonable prices, this is the place for you.
Kappa is a surprisingly good Japanese takeaway restaurant (which also have some Korean dishes) near Earls Court station. They have quite affordable bento boxes for lunch, and for dinner you can get a rice topping meal for around £15 - not too bad!
I really liked the Chirashi Don I got, the fish was fresh and was served on top of sushi rice. If you want sharing dishes, I highly recommend trying the Korean Fried Chicken (I liked the soy and garlic) or the Beef Teppan!
It’s Japanese takeaway, but at least I have an alternative to Eat Tokyo when I find myself near Earls Court.
A Japanese heaven . The food is outstanding . I mean really really good . Authentic Japanese at a decent price . Excellent Japanese staff and open style kitchen so you can see the culinary magicians at work . The food was so tasty and for a decent price . You can't go wrong with this place for sure . If you love sushi etc look no further . It's not that busy but had a good turnover of tables . And every minute a deliveroo driver is picking up bags full of tasty treats . Lots of Japanese people eating in there too so you know it's good if the Japanese go to eat Japanese food there . Absolutely top notch place . One of my favourites . I will return
Food is good
Many choices with the menu
Reasonable Price
Great Japanese/South Korean restaurant. The portions are great and tasty. Recommend the Korean Fried Chicken, Beef Bulgogi Bibimbap, Unagi Cup and the pork bento box.
Tasty! We had tataki, salmon set, yaki soba, all turned so awesome with reasonable price, just the service need a lil improvement.
I enjoyed the lovely atmosphere and the delicious food, and the service was equally delightful!
Delicious dishes, very fresh, well served and excellent staff
Amazing Japanese food and wonderful staff. Great presentation and good value. Do recommend!
Excellent food, very authentic and fresh. A bit pricey. The place does a lot of takeouts, which seems to takes some of the staff's focus away from the sitting customers, but maybe its just how I experienced it. All and all, I would most definitely recommend a visit, and will come back in case I'm in the area again.
Me and my friend were standing between two restaurants: Kappa and Kung Fu Buffet (across the street). We could not decide which place to go to have a dinner. So we did heads and tails (flipping coin) and it took us to Kappa Japanese restaurant.
There was a table available at late hour. We were pleased with starters, they were all very good tasty and fresh.
Main dishes were not as exciting as starters. Probably we just chose a wrong thing on a menu. Would come back to explore menu further.
Super fast and kind service.
Amazing food and have a lot of vegetarian options(also vegan and gluten free).. great experience overall.

All the food was fantastic, it was delicious and came quickly. Service was great, fast and helpful. When I ordered a drink they didn't have I was offered alternatives instead very quickly and concisely. I would recommend however I would check what comes with your dish as the Tonkatsu came with salad when I expected something else, but that's on me for not checking.
