We have visited this restaurant several times , their food really delicious , they serve salad and cacik as complimentary.
The only thing is staff is not friendly.
This place is vibrant and family friendly. Staff are mostly attentive and helpful. But sometimes you need to ask twice.. the food is delicious and fresh, you get complimentary salad and bread and Turkish tea as well. However, I thought food portions were too small for the price.
Lovely waiters and good food however the pricing is ridiculous. A fresh orange juice is £6.50, it cost the same as my simple lamb stew. Truly baffling.
The lamb and aubergine stew was delicious, a little on the oily side though. As was the accompanying salad.
We were offered a complimentary tea after which is pretty standard with Turkish restaurants but seems to be slowly phasing out at some places.
Really lovely vibe and friendly staff. Food tastes good. We ordered platters and they were generous with salads, fresh warm bread and dips which were complementary. Check the bill before you pay though - sometimes they charge more than on menu.
Some of my friends live close by and they said to me that "anytime we eat here, we are satisfied"!
I agree. Love this place!!
Nice vibes and location, really busy during the weekend.
The staff is kind, available, very professional and really attentive!
The atmosphere is relaxing and the interior, but also the outside, is really comfortable.
The food is cooked amazingly and is nicely flavoured, we enjoyed every single dish from the starters to the dessert!
Kalamar (deep fried shrimps) are delicious, as well as the Icli Kofte, and they are great to share.
A Platter for One is enough for 3/4 people if you decide to get some starters first... And it is also convienent!
If you are in London, in the area around Finsbury Park: take bus n 29 to Wood Green and try it😍😍
Ps: the food is so good and abundant that you can be full till the day after😂❤️
We’ve been visiting this restaurant for the past 8 years or more and it will always be my favourite. Gives me a taste of my childhood that I was also able to pass to my kids.
The quality of food never disappointed us!
1 ⭐️ off for the toilets cleanliness.
Amazing service, really nice food. We have visited few time and will definitely go back again!
The quality and taste of food is always so consistent. This is my favourite restaurant in the area. Last time we went we had Tahsin serving us. He took good care of us and when we asked him questions about the different types of dishes he answered them very well. The portions are good and well priced. Great experience I always recommend it to my friends.
Brilliant Turkish food with excellent service. I dropped 1 star from atmosphere because it depends more on the company you are in. Our table was great but the restaurant is very busy and some of the tables were not quiet. If you prefer quieter area ask if any of the tables at the back are available.
"I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! Iskender was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, making sure that my order was exactly how I wanted it. The quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and the portion sizes were generous. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a tasty and satisfying meal."
Diyarbakir is one of the most popular places in greater London area, offering variety of meat and chicken options, charcoal broiled. They have salads and vegetarian options as well. They offer fish options on their menu as well.
I was here around 2017 Christmas and here again 5.5 years later; the atmosphere, the quality of food and warm hospitality didn’t change.
Overall; their meat quality is very good, service is fast and friendly. The owner, Erkan, sets a good example of hospitality for his business, which his team follows.
Authentic Halal Turkish food with many dish options. We were fasting as this was during ramadan and the restaurant catered accordingly by giving us dates to open fast and bringing out our starters ready for opening and then bringin the main meals once fast had opened hot & fresh. Service all round was excellent, always attentive and helpful. We ordered Lahmachun and Donor Hummus as starters which were amazing! The donor meat was little dry and hard but tasted great. For mains we had chicken & lamb shish with adana mince meat kebabs with side of rice. Atmosphere was nice and not too loud. Family friendly as many kids around. Complimentary bread with tahini in start and turkish tea after your meal was great too. As others have mentioned there is a service charge but its just like any other restaurant that charge for their service which was excellent here so the £5-£6 paid is not too bad. Im sure one can always ask it to be removed. I was perfectly happy with this. Pricing for food i would say is a little expensive considering all but worth the odd occasions. Definitely worth a visit!
Visited this restaurant on numerous occasions, their food is so delicious!
I visited with family recently and they made sure we got a good private table, it was very busy yet the food came out without delays.
We ordered halloumi with fig jam, yum! A few mixed platters for the mains-perfect! We got complimentary desserts which were delicious too! Staff are very polite and nothing is too much trouble. Feeling hungry for some more!
Changed a lot since I was last there (5 years ago). The new interior is a bit dark which is weird for a restaurant. The food is as good as I remembered it but significantly more expensive.
A sumptuous feast of Turkish meats. Everything was perfectly seasoned, cooked and presented. Totally satisfied.
It's one of the best Turkish restaurants in London, if not the best. The food is delicious, the service is perfect, the portions are generous and all of this for a more than reasonable price. I would recommend the platters to share to try a bit of everything. You might have to wait a few minutes to be seated but it's totally worth it. Do yourself a favour and go experience it. Be warned: you may be in a food coma by the end.
Always good and plentiful dishes, several of them big enough to be shared by two or more people -- like the Mixed Kebab, where even the rice is tasty.
A well seasoned salad, their delicious bread and a couple of starters (like cacik), brought to the table as couvert, are included in the price of meals.
Their lahmacun takes me back to Turkey.
If it's quality of food you're after then this place delivers authentic Turkish halal food. On average it costs around £23 per head. It caters for a family atmosphere or groups and it can get busy. Staff are polite and on hand for anything requested. Only thing that could be better are the toilets. They are too small. There is no dedicated parking nor disabled parking. You just have to park wherever you find suitable. We had a great time in this place and we'd go again.
All the reviews are not wrong! The best Turkish food I have eaten in a very long time! Other places over spice everything but not here it's a perfect mix of ingredients and let's you taste the meat and vegetables... I ate so much but did not feel the slightest bit of bloatedness that I normally have after a heavy meal.. and the lovely waitress was wonderful and so attentive.. excellent customer service by farctge best service on the whole of Green Lanes if not all of North London!
Have visited multiple times and doesn't let me down. Restaurant gets very busy but there's lots of seating. Very comfortable modern decor. Open till late. Good quality food, most of the grilled meats are flavoursome. Friendly and effective waiting staff. Food is delivered quickly. Complimentary bread with dips. Prices slightly above average but affordable.
