The best overall Greek-Cypriot restaurant in London. I had the pleasure of tasting the best Red Mallet in the UK. Exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff. Superbly decorated inside with a lovely floral back area and nice seating area at the front. You will find a lot more than the typical touristy Greek dishes, let the staff help you with your choices. Placed on Primrose Hill, not far from Chalk Farm underground, it is a must Culinary and enjoy full visit.
Very good trusty Greek which have been here for ages, no doubt because of the friendly service, well priced menu and satisfying portions. The three course lunch menu is a real bargain for what you get, food was very well cooked, service very fast and efficient and I love that they now have tables also partly on the mainly street. Well done Lemonia, for sure we will be back again!
Nice comfy food. The service was fast and kind. Everything was tasty but not super impressive. Maybe because we had vegan dishes. The only thing I can complain is that when we asked the bill they brought some sweets, which were not vegan, even the waiter knowing about it. The waiter said: 'Sorry, not for you'. For next time, it would be nice if they gave an alternative (for example something like halva)
We visited this place for a team lunch on a weekday. The location is very convenient and is a really short walk from Chalk Farm Road tube station on the Northern Line.
The building is well decorated and captures you from the moment you walk in. The interior creates an impression and feels like being in a summer garden.
The staff is very friendly, welcoming and did engaged from the very beginning. They offered to get our coats and show us all the available menus, including specials. We ordered some wine which was offered well chilled and we tasted prior to service.
The food arrived literally a few minutes of ordering and was well presented and of a great quality and portion size. When we ordered a second bottle of different wine, the glasses were changed. Mains were also of great quality, taste, and size. Plates were very hot, and we were warned about it. Desert menus were presented at the end and offered great choices and authentic Greek dishes.
Lovely place and memorable experience. Will definitely return.
Love this restaurant it’s been in Primrose Hill for as long as I can remember and serves up really authentic high-quality fresh food really great for families or large parties. Amazing service very accommodating.
I really loved the warm, busy and cosy family-feel of this restaurant. The dining room was very beautiful - with lots of pretty plants - and was well-lit. Service was kind, efficient and sweet. Food all very tasty. We had lots of appetisers: including hummus, saganaki, sausage and feta and spinach filo parcels. Our mains were great too with many choices from an extensive menu. Desserts were excellent and included rice pudding, halva and walnut cake. Also very much enjoyed a lovely dry white wine to accompany the meal. This all came to around £50 per head so not cheap but good value. Would recommend as a great spot for a meal with family or friends.
Staying in London this week, we saved the best dinner for last. Comfy neighborhood local mom & pop shop. Friendly service & delicious food. We enjoyed calamari, saganaki, pita, tsatziki, taramasalata, chicken, pork & lamb Souvlaki, rice, roasted potatoes and galaktobouriko. Highly recommend this authentic Greek spot. Run, don't walk...you won't be disappointed!!!
Returned here for the first time in years and was not disappointed. The food is still excellent & very good value for the area. However the service really makes it; still very much the family restaurant where nothing is too much trouble and you feel
Incredibly welcome from the moment you walk through the door. Thank you for a lovely lunch!
Really lovely airy dining room, very sweet and friendly staff. The food is quite traditional Cypriot fayre but done very well. The saganaki starter in particular was so so good. Also the Halva pistachio dessert and walnut cake were really tasty.
This is an amazing spot for good food and friendly service. There’s a lunch offer during weekdays for three course menu for 17.50
Worth every penny! The waiters are extremely happy and helpful, the food tastes very good. Highly recommend!
Very accommodating and delicious Greek restaurant. Lovely in the summer outside but also quite spacious indoors. Dover sole and vegetarian moussaka for mains were a delight, as well as the little fried fish (whiting or some other small fish I can’t remember the exact name). Price wise it’s about right for the area, perhaps a little steeper than the London average but for the atmosphere and location it’s worth it.
It’s about a 5 minute walk from Primrose Hill park too which is a bonus if you’ve got kids and dogs
We have been here so many times, I've lost count over a 20 year period. However, I have never written a review! Lemonia do what they do...very, very well. The food is consistently very good, with excellent service and a fantastically busy, but pleasant vibe. No matter what you have on the menu, it's always tasty, well prepared and freshly cooked. No wonder, like us, people keep on going back month after month, year after year. For me, the number one Primrose Hill restaurant.
I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!
This meal changed my month (1 main, 4 starters and a drink as well as a complimentary Turkish delight) Manager was absaloutkey lovely wish every restaurant owner/manager was as nice as him (tony) along with his wife maria
Amazing, authentic Greek cuisine! Dinner was delicious, we had some calamari as a starter and grilled fish for main. Also I have food intolerances and the stuff was very well informed about the ingredients in each dish, I’ll definitely come back
Good food, friendly staff, quite expensive
