ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!! I did not expect the food to be this good, I dont have words. We had padrons, burrata, tartare and the terrine and then the lamb and haddock for main. It was fantastic! We had the crepe and mousse for desert which were great too but we were quite full at that point! Love this place

A wonderful place for a Sunday roast. Beautiful restaurant interior and in such a vibrant street! Excellent wine & service! The Angus beef roast was incredible - carrots, potatoes, green beans and broccoli sides divine! Yorkshire pudding was amazing. Can only recommend booking well in advance as it is very busy on a Sunday! Call for bookings smaller than the number they allow on the website. The restrooms are also neat and well kept.

A great fish and chips! The beer was fresh! Very nice place. The table was a little bit uncomfortable for a big guy. Very friendly and polite staff! The waiter made a small mistake on our bill but she immediately accepted and reimbursed the difference!

Superb lunch. Had Roasted Delicia Pumpkin & Chickpea Tabouleh, Harissa Yoghurt, Pomegranate (£15) which was heavenly. Followed with an irresistible Sticky Toffee Pudding, Butterscotch, Pear, Rum & Raisin Ice Cream (£10), which was WGFF (worth getting fat for!)

🚇 Knightsbridge 🍺 £6.85 Steigl Goldbraü ❤️ A stylish upmarket Belgravia Gastro. . The Alfred Tennyson is located in Belgravia, it is situated on the high end retail enclave of Motcomb street. The nearest Tube is Knightsbridge which is a few minutes walk away. . This pub was build around 1850, up until the mid eighties it was called The Turks Head. This is an elegant Grade II Victorian building which holds its own amongst the glamorous shops that neighbour it along Motcomb Street. Opposite is Gordon Ramsey’s restaurant Petrus. . This upmarket Gastropub has a stylish interior with punches of colour throughout. The main bar is divided in to three sections and has a good size servery complete with comfy leather high backed stools. I’m happy to report this Gastro has ample space for those who just fancy a tipple. Upstairs is a dining room for a more formal culinary experience. Outside there are plenty of table and chairs to soak up the atmosphere of the surrounding area. . The beer line up was good, the selection was all keg with some choices you don’t see everyday on the pumps of London. I opted for a Stiegl Goldbraü, I really enjoyed my pint and price point was to be expected. The food is elevated restaurant quality food with an emphasis on British seasonal produce. The menu had traditional pub classics available, fish & chips costs £21.50. . I arrived just after 1pm and the pub was very busy with both diners and drinkers. The only seats left to sit on were the stools along the bar and at a ledge near the door which is where I sat. There was a buzzy atmosphere around the bar and the well presented staff were busy running food and checking to see that the clientele had everything they needed. . The Alfred Tennyson was an enjoyable visit, this is a great place for social dining or just popping in for a drink or two. This Gastro offers a crème de la crème dining experience and the surroundings are elegant. The service was on point and I loved the beer. This pub is well worth a visit for the sophisticated ambience alone. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 04.11.22

Other night, I had the pleasure of dining at Alfred Tennyson, and it was a truly delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, the manager Carl warmly greeted us with utmost politeness and accommodation. He personally escorted us to our table, setting the tone for what turned out to be a remarkable evening. Throughout our meal, the waiter provided exceptional service, attending to our needs with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. However, what truly stood out was the unexpected visit from **Carl**, the manager, who took the time to check on our dining experience. It's rare to encounter such personal attention from a manager, and we were genuinely impressed by his dedication to ensuring our satisfaction. As for the food, we ordered the fish and chips and chicken pie. Both dishes were simply exquisite, leaving our taste buds more than satisfied. The culinary experience at Alfred Tennyson exceeded our expectations. Overall, our visit to Alfred Tennyson was a memorable one, thanks to the exceptional service and delectable dishes they offer. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a delightful dining experience. Kudos to Carl and the entire team for making our evening so enjoyable!

This pub was packed around 5pm when people were finished work and the sun was beaming down (August). I couldn’t get a table outside, but standing on the sunny sidewalk was still great 🙌

After a very long day, this was a lovely haven where we could relax. My husband had an excellent chicken and leek pie and I had a perfectly cooked bream. We also had a side salad of greens and a well balanced dressing. The service was professional but maybe a little frosty. The ambience was convivial and lively.
