A nice, relaxing pub. The food was good as was the service. I had the sausage and mash and my wife had the fish and chips, which were both very tasty. We’ll go back next time we’re in London.

Pros: Lots of places to sit, friendly staff, and thick cut fries
Cons: Not much of a wheat beer selection and pork and plum dish didn't have much of a plum taste

To the Mitre what an incredible experience. Lovely attentive staff that greeted me at the door with a warm smile. The rest of the evening was filled with laughter flowing drinks and delicious food (I had the fish and chips make sure you dip the chips in the tartare sauce). Thank you to management on the night as we ended up having a couple more people than planned but they kindly and swiftly accommodated and adapted to suit us. Thank you again and see you soon!

I had a lovely time. A really traditional English pub with good cocktails. The staff were really friendly - Malcolm looked after us and we had a great time.

I visited the mitre 2 weeks and was served by a very sweet bartender with dreadlocks. Very attentive and friendly service as well as amazing cocktails (served by Tayy & Jen )and gorgeous bangers and mash. Would definitely recommend to any tourists like myself who are looking for a real English pub!

Had the most wonderful hour on a Saturday afternoon with a friend. The bar staff were fantastic and welcoming especially Anastasia. She helped us make the most wonderful drink choices and told us all about the history of the pub. Really old fashioned London boozer. Highly recommended. Didn’t eat so can’t review that.

We stopped by here for a sunday roast and are we are SO glad that we did! This was the best meal on our trip to London, by far. The vegetarian option of the roast dinner (mushroom wellington) was the best vegetarian meal I have ever eaten. My boyfriend, who loves meat, also adored my dish, as well as his beef one. Our server Anastasia was very kind, welcoming and efficient. She made me the yummiest cocktail (passionfruit martini! order it!!!). All in all, this place had a lovely atmosphere and served us a delicious meal that we won’t ever forget.

The Sunday Roast Beef was really good for £21.50 in a dog friendly pub just a stone's throw from Hyde Park. The presentation was very charming having a giant Yorkshire pudding sitting on top of the roast beef and vegetables. The crushed parsnip and the halved maple syrup roast carrot were different to other pubs', but they tasted so good. The downside was that roast pork wasn't available.

Got what we came for. Nice old pub, was hoping for different music selection rather than "top of the pops", maybe something more befitting the atmosphere, but that issue is seemingly everywhere in London (to Londoners, they perhaps aren't searching always for a "charming old English Pub", as to them it's just a pub they're after, so the bubblegum pop is fine. They were out of a few menu items, but what we had was good. Nice "warm, flat beer" (cellar temp, etc.), and service was as expected, so nice pub for that.

Mitre might not be flashy, but it doesn't need to be — it's a reliable pub that gets it right every time. It's the kind of place where you can unwind with a well-poured pint and simply enjoy the atmosphere. While it might not offer anything particularly special, its consistency and dependability make it a top choice for those seeking a good pub experience. At Mitre, you know you're in for a quality pint and a relaxing time.

Wow! We stumbled across this pub and we LOVED it. The food, drink selection, service and atmosphere was perfect. The Sunday roast and Burger are delicious. Alfie’s service was incredible, and the Mitre team made our dog feel very welcome. Highly recommend!

Great selection of gin and a cute but small outdoor area to enjoy the sunshine. I had the open steak sandwich which came with spicy mustard and red onions and a small but decent green salad. The chips were really good - crispy but fluffy and a healthy sized portion (when I say 'healthy', I mean generous, of course!).

The Mitre is a a great pub located in Paddington. It has a Victorian theme and looks quite historic. I was celebrating a friend's birthday with friends and we went there in the evening. Although we didn't eat, we had drinks. The prices for drinks were roughly £4. The Mitre has a great atmosphere and people there are very jolly. They also play great music.
