The Mitre In Lancaster Gate - London - Photo album

A nice, relaxing pub. The food was good as was the service. I had the sausage and mash and my wife had the fish and chips, which were both very tasty. We’ll go back next time we’re in London.
The Sunday Roast Beef was really good for £21.50 in a dog friendly pub just a stone's throw from Hyde Park. The presentation was very charming having a giant Yorkshire pudding sitting on top of the roast beef and vegetables. The crushed parsnip and the halved maple syrup roast carrot were different
Went here after the London NFL game in Wembley stadium for a Sunday roast. Had wonderful food in an amazing atmosphere with funny guests and perfect service, awesome guiness! Best place to finish a great day with drinks and food. Will come back…
Enjoyed a couple of beers while watching one of the Wimbledon men's semi-final match. Such a cozy place to be. I shall go again today to watch the final match!!!
I visited the mitre 2 weeks and was served by a very sweet bartender with dreadlocks. Very attentive and friendly service as well as amazing cocktails (served by Tayy & Jen )and gorgeous bangers and mash. Would definitely recommend to any tourists like myself who are looking for a real English pub!
Great place. Nice music. Love the atmosphere, very friendly staff!
Pros: Lots of places to sit, friendly staff, and thick cut fries Cons: Not much of a wheat beer selection and pork and plum dish didn't have much of a plum taste
To the Mitre what an incredible experience. Lovely attentive staff that greeted me at the door with a warm smile. The rest of the evening was filled with laughter flowing drinks and delicious food (I had the fish and chips make sure you dip the chips in the tartare sauce). Thank you to management on
Had the most wonderful hour on a Saturday afternoon with a friend. The bar staff were fantastic and welcoming especially Anastasia. She helped us make the most wonderful drink choices and told us all about the history of the pub. Really old fashioned London boozer. Highly recommended. Didn’t eat so
Wow! We stumbled across this pub and we LOVED it. The food, drink selection, service and atmosphere was perfect. The Sunday roast and Burger are delicious. Alfie’s service was incredible, and the Mitre team made our dog feel very welcome. Highly recommend!
Got what we came for. Nice old pub, was hoping for different music selection rather than "top of the pops", maybe something more befitting the atmosphere, but that issue is seemingly everywhere in London (to Londoners, they perhaps aren't searching always for a "charming old English Pub", as to them
We stopped by here for a sunday roast and are we are SO glad that we did! This was the best meal on our trip to London, by far. The vegetarian option of the roast dinner (mushroom wellington) was the best vegetarian meal I have ever eaten. My boyfriend, who loves meat, also adored my dish, as well a
A really fine establishment. Good food and great service. Will be sure to visit again in the future if I'm in London.
I had a lovely time. A really traditional English pub with good cocktails. The staff were really friendly - Malcolm looked after us and we had a great time.
Wonderful living room vibe in the dining area. Great food and good service
Mitre might not be flashy, but it doesn't need to be — it's a reliable pub that gets it right every time. It's the kind of place where you can unwind with a well-poured pint and simply enjoy the atmosphere. While it might not offer anything particularly special, its consistency and dependability mak
