A Regular place to be. Average food but the ambience is good. We use to go there every thursday eve for drinks. Love the snaks goats cheese is one of them.
Discovered this place by accident . Really cool location set in a square off Goodge St . Had a few drinks with friends, and enjoyed some good quality food. Doors open onto paved area. Very pleasant if a little pricey
Came in on a Sunday evening without a reservation (Valentines), for a friends birthday dinner. We didnt expect to find a table easily with such a large group, but it wasnt a problem - luckily!
We all ordered starters, mains and desserts! The smoked trout and venison being my absolute favorite. The meat was perfectly done.
What was outstanding was the service. Our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive! We will definitely come back.

Of course, the most important thing to talk about is the booze. And there was a lot of it. I’m always a little suspicious of the bottomless brunch offer as I’ve been to a few places where they have been pretty stingy with the top-ups, so you don’t really get much bang for your buck. This was not the case at Percy & Founders. Between two of us we must have drunk at least a bottle and a quarter of prosecco, with a bottle being kept next to us in an ice-bucket throughout the duration of the meal. The staff were also incredibly friendly and chatty when topping us up; our glasses were never less than half full at any given moment.
Great atmosphere, nice drinks and good food. Although I think the prices are not right for the portion you get. I had lamb loin&shoulder, which was really well prepared, but tiny tiny portion for a 20pounds main course.
Great selection of music, good food and cocktails. I especially like the weekend flowless prosecco for only 16 pounds, and the Sunday roast chicken is huge in portion and the taste was quite nice. There are huge tables and plenty of outlets, which makes it good as a working space.
Hidden away off the corner of Mortimer Street and Berners Street, Percy & Founders is surprisingly large.
High ceilings, marble floors and Hockney prints. The dining room is split up into several areas for dining, lounge area and some high counters near the open kitchen.
At late lunch, the restaurant wasn't busy at all. Staff promptly, and very pleasantly, served us and were in and out in 90 minutes.
We ordered roast chicken, sea trout and a burger. Then peanut butter parfaits and a cheese board for afters.
My burger came in a toasted brioche bun with pickles and fries (too salty). I'd asked for the burger to be medium/pink but came out more on the side of well done. The flavour and seasoning itself were good but nothing that special.
For dessert, peanut butter parfait with fresh cherries. Gorgeous, crisp chocolate covered wafers with peanut butter ice cream.
Percy & Founders have a breakfast/brunch menu, all day menu as well as serving Sunday roasts. Perhaps I wouldn't return for a burger, but definitely would for a quiet brunch or quick supper.
Fantastic food- very fresh ingredients. We had fish and chips and the Niçoise salad. The salad had fresh tuna and nice and simple without any oils or dressings! Fish was very chunky and nice and fresh.
Service was lovely, very friendly.
Very quiet on a Saturday for lunch. Expect it’s busier in weekdays when there are more people around the area.
We will definitely return!
Such a lovely restaurant with a great ambience. For the starter, I had butternut squash soup was creamy and exquisite. I had fish and chips, and the fish was firm, flaky and meaty, not too oily. The passion fruit and white chocolate cheesecake were smooth and creamy and not too sweet, which I prefer.
Also, one person in our group who needed gluten-free bread was served toast and butter as an alternative bread. With the cost of the food and venue, you would expect a better option.
On another note, the service was excellent. Even if he's the only one taking orders from 28 people, he’s friendly and mindful of the guest's needs.
I have provided my feedback, and spoken to Liam who kindly acknowledged my concern.
Previously when known as Percy & Founder: Had our new year/Christmas party here and the service was great! Food was very tasty, definitely would recommend going here for drinks and/or dinner! Love the interior too!
.
Now known as The Arber Garden: came here for a Sunday roast with a couple of friends with a baby & pram. Restaurant was very accommodating and the service was good too. I had brought in a small birthday cake as well for my friend which they were happy to keep behind until later on. The roast was delicious. I'd come back here for brunch one day as they did look tasty as well!
The food was a mixed bag but no major complaints. Good chocolate and orange tart for dessert. Cocktails were delicious, including amazing non-alcoholic ones. Lovely atmosphere. Would go again for drinks. Very friendly service.
Beautiful restaurant, quality food, and well-priced. The standout dishes were: crab flatbread, lamb, and the superfood salad (best salad I’ve had in a long time!). Also the martini-by-the-sea - so unique! Very friendly customer service too; thank you Katie!
Why this didn’t get 5 stars: the rib-eye was bland, and while the lamb was excellent, it was a scant portion.
So thankful for such great service. Staff were awesome to us all. We were such a big group and they managed us well despite the late comers and the add on's to the group and wow the food was so so yummy.
Thank you so much for everything Arber Garden.
I Highly recommended Arber for sure.
You got to dine at Arber Garden, you won't be disappointed.
When i am back in London will visit again.
Found this place whilst looking for a place that was open on Easter Sunday.
Ordered Mushroom duxelle & spiced beetroot Wellington which comes with
roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, yorkshire pudding & house gravy. They omitted the Yorkshire Pudding as it was not vegan but they happily provided it when requested plus extra gravy.
Also got the Crispy fish & chips, crushed peas, house tartar plus Green beans, confit shallots plus a couple of cocktails. The crispy fish was was a thick wedge of fish (maybe cod?) and was crumbed. I personally am not a fan of crumbed fish but the fish was well prepared and still juicy despite being a little dry at the edges. The beans were baby beans and was very tender and tasty.
They also had live music with someone at the piano which was quite relaxing.
Had a brunch here, avocado toast was delicious. My friend ordered the Kedgeree and it was good too. Nice atmosphere. Last minute booked a table online on Friday night for a Saturday brunch, and it was not too crowded.
Came here for the 50% soft launch discount. Went for the Sunday roast as the restaurant had good reviews about it. Wasn't disappointed at all, it was one of the best Sunday roasts that I've tried and had all the key elements that make a good Sunday roast.
Good selection of vegetables, crispy potatoes and Yorkshire pudding, flavorsome gravy and sauce, and well-executed meat. The sorbet was so smooth and delicious as well! The pricing of the food here is higher than average, but it is justified due to the quality.
The restaurant is spacious, and some of the decors are beautiful. The service was good.
This is our first visit. I was really impressed by the restaurant setting from the outside to the inside and even the toilet! It’s simply beautiful throughout. The taps in the toilet is a nice design and the hand soap is moisturising with nice scent. I think if the owners pays attention to the toilet, they must have paid more attention to the food hygiene and kitchen! We had two flatbreads with sausages and crabs. They taste delicious. I had halibut and my husband and son had burgers. My halibut is the best seafood I’ve had! It’s crispy on the outside and tender and juicy inside. The tender broccoli were cooked just right as well. Overall it was very well presented and I really enjoyed it. The reason I gave 4 star is that the dessert let it down. It took long time well over 10 minutes to deliver our desert which is ice cream and lemon chiffon cake. The cake is just an average chiffon cake with very mild hint of lavender. It was presented beautifully but the taste is very average and I won’t order it again. The restaurant has a separate room and bar area for private function which would be great for small private parties. Overall I really enjoyed this restaurant. If the customer service could be more efficient, I would give a top mark!
We booked our work Christmas party here for 23 people , would’ve been more , due to strikes people cancelled. And I must say the ease of organising this with Egle was amazing. Super prompt responses and very accommodating.
On the night , we were served by Oliver , he was amazing. Everything ran very smoothly and the night was a success . Highly Recommend this place for small to large groups.
1st table at a discount! Great food, Tbone for 2 was delicious, well prepared and rested.
The side dishes were good, and all was served very slowly but giving us time to enjoy and chat. Nice caraf of wine, I had a mocktail.
Nice casual location with pleasant outside seating in a "green" themed setting. My burger was excellent as were the other dishes. Live music provided a great mood. The tables around us who ordered bottomless prosecco brunches were enjoying animated afternoon. If its open it well worth having a peek at the hospital's site chapel next door.
My friend and I came here on Sunday for the roast and it didn't disappoint.
I had the roast beef and she had the lamb, potatoes was nice a crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, vegetables was lovely the gravy was delicious. The horseradish cream wasn't to sharp just perfect for me. Overall a lovely afternoon and the venue stunning.
Only downside was how long it took to get a card machine after asking for the bill, also there was a bit of a wait to get seated whn i arrived. Other than that service throughout was nice and quick our waiter was lovely and checked in occasionally throughout our meal.
However it's definitely a place I would love to go again to try other options on their menu.
Came here for my 50th birthday meal and drinks. Food was excellent I had haddock with triple cooked chips and homemade tartare sauce my friends had burgers which were equally great and one friend had lamb which was beautiful and tender. The desserts the chocolate slice was pure heaven on a plate. The staff were very attentive and the prices arent bad either. The place itself is very pretty has great ambiance.
Lovely visit for Valentine’s Day. We got married next door when this was Percy & Founders. Times have changed. Food just as good. Lovely atmosphere would return.
Superb evening meal. Burger and chips was best I’ve had in along time. Partner had Caesar salad which was excellent too. Great choice of drinks. Sat outside in amongst some great decor and away from road and noise. Highly recommend although the waitress said they don’t normally open on Sunday evenings.
