A friend of mine from Cyprus scheduled a trip down to Halepi, so we could try food from his home country.
Halepi looks like a very Greek-esque tavern, which adds to the experience. The food is phenomenal and in great quantity. We had amazing starters, from humus, to darama (a fish based paste). The come leaves, similar to the Greek domames, are even better than the before-mentioned, followed by mussaka, fried prawns, baskets and baskets of freshly baked heavenly pita bread, culminating with 4 or 5 humongous trays with char grilled meat, tender and succulent. We had no sides, just shear will power to eat as much as possible. All washed down with Keo, a Cypriot lager that is quite enjoyable. We ended paying quite a lot of money for the meal, rather an expensive lot indeed, but we ate like kings until we are fully fed and then beyond that until almost sickness. Probably next time we shall settle for less than an ogre's portion. While there are vegetarian options, if you enjoy deliciously grilled meat, this is a place to go.
Worked for them three months in the hotel they used to own across the way, turns out their attitude didn't change. Still as obnoxious as I remember them 15 years ago.
But the food is still very good even for some make believe Greek dishes !
If you are a kiwi you will see famous All Black Sean Fitzpatrick up on the wall. The owner pointed him out to me when we first ate there. He was a great storyteller (in a good way), and made us feel very welcome. On most occasions the place was busy. Excellent atmosphere, service, kai. We visited here several times and thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend this place to all. :)

We misjudged this place when checking it out online; turned out to be one of London's most traditional dining venues. Turned out that many VIPs / presidents / celebrities have been regular customers! Established in 1966; Halepi has succeeded in keeping it as traditional as it always have been; a unique home-warming interior and a lovely welcoming atmosphere! We popped in on a Saturday night without a reservation. Apparently all tables were booked, but the gentleman who received us at the door was generous enough not to turn us away. The Dolmas are a must-try. The Baby lamb casserole is a must-try too! You should NOT miss out the baklava and make sure to add on a scoop of vanilla ice cream 😍😍😍😍😍😍
The best Greek restaurant in London, everything was so good the food , the desserts and also the mint tea it was absolutely divine ,I highly recommend this place for those who want to discover the authentic Greek food 👍👍
Fantastic Greek place, a must if you're into this type of food. Lamb is to die for starters such the hummus, Greek salad, beetroot and mastello cheese are worth a try. Lamb for main course would be an ideal choice.

Fabulous food and great service.. After a ridiculously long journey to London by car and a trying to find a car park that was blocked by roadworks, we arrived too late at our hotel for last orders in the restaurant so we were delighted to find this wonderful Greek restaurant just around the corner. The place was buzzing, the staff friendly and polite and the food just superb. The pork starter and houmous were perfect, the fillet steaks tender and very well cooked. If only it hadn't been so late in the evening by the time we finished the main course, then I would have loved to try one of the desserts. The whole experience completely made up for the rubbish journey!

Halepi is a very busy Greek restaurant mostly in the evenings and it is located in Bayswater area in Notting Hill, London. For a large group of about 23 people, it is advised that you book a reservation in advance if you are to avoid waiting for a space in the taverna. If you do hang out around Bayswater, Halepi is a nice place to eat traditional Greek food and I would recommend the Scampi a l’orange and Prawn Cocktail. If you are into vegetables, then the Poisson Halepi which is sliced veal garnished with white wine and touches of asparagus with potatoes. The restaurant is well appointed and has got a relaxing atmosphere.
However, the meals are too pricey and you might get the feeling of being ripped off.
Delicious food and a great spot. Halepi is a favourite with locals as it's in a residential part of west London and off the main road - so the tourists tend to miss it. The kleftiko is to die for and the staff are always so warm and welcoming. They source their ingredients very carefully and despite the rather casual atmosphere, it's one of those places where you can never be sure who you're sitting next to. Highly recommend.
We went there to celebrate our marriage anniversary. We have not reserved in advance and the place is crowded. However, the Manager was super nice and asked us to wait until he could avail a slot. We did get a table and I can’t tell you how the food was tasty and the team super warm. A real taste of Greek plates done in home kitchen that is an absolute DELIGHT! I would definitely recommend this place for an excellent dinner. We will definitely return there

We went for an early dinner without a reservation, and luckily got seats immediately. It is busy and indeed felt very much a family run place. Ordered Saganaki ( Pan fried Halloumi), Greek sausages and salad for the start, Lamb shoulder for the main, Avgolemono soup and Galaktoboureko (milk tart) for the dessert. Really enjoyed every one of them. The clientele is a mixture of locals and tourists, Americans especially for some reason, due to the proximity of many hotels.
Recommended. They are a minutes walk from my residence. Cramped place, but v good food. Always nearly full.
We tried milk fed lamb. Enough for three people. Tender as hell. Bit bland, but nothing a shake of salt couldn't cure. Loved the complimentary sugar-coated jelly cubes, ala school times, after the meal.
Very good and friendly table service, and quick, by an efficient gent. However, getting the bill was a chore and a half. The girl kept twiddling her pencil and slowly scribbling on a chit. She looked surprised that we wanted to pay by card.
12.5% service charge added. I would have liked to pay that direct to the table waiter.
Busy cozy restaurant, good Greek food with authentic flavours. Service ok, shame they forgot the chips. Check your bill carefully for hidden charges or overpricing.
Hmmm this place is a perfect choice if you’re hungry and looking for Middle Eastern food, other than that I don’t recommend it. Basically fathers will definitely like it 😎. And for Saudis, you may want to go to see our king’s photo😉. The place is too old btw

Tasty food but expensive! The atmosphere was cozy and nice. I've been here before and enjoyed the food and Greek wine. However, this time, the Meze felt unfair for a price of £66, considering the amount of food.
As said, food is great, but highly recommended to check the prices first. 👌🏼

A wonderful little place, homely, warm, and smells amazing when you walk in. We did jus that and they sat us quickly, we got olives right away, and each had Keo beer. Ordered the grilled halloumi, which was outstanding, the sausages, and then the hummus. Both fantastic! Main course was the lamb, which we split, soooo much meat. Utterly delicious. And we were just walking past and though we’d give it a go!!! Phenomenal food!

I asked got extra Feta. I had to go back again this short trip. Staff is warm and wonderful and just kind and inviting. Pricing is beyond reasonable. Now one of my #1 places to eat when I come to London. Did I mention that Greek salad? I wanted it to-go for my flight.

Excellent welcoming and hospitality. We ordered lamp Dolma, Greek Tabouleh, lamb kabab, and lamp chop, and everything was amazing.
ordered two grilled scallops, two shrimps and musaka. the taste of every dish was flawless, from bread to desserts. meats on the grill over the kitchen also looked nice. but minus one star because one of the staff members was quite snappy when taking orders.
Delicious dinner. I recommend to make a reservation to avoid the waiting.
