Seabream and spicy lentils which I paired with one of my favourite Spanish 🍇. Albariño 😊the zesty freshness of the wine was perfect with this fish. Had cod and potato croquettes as well as a dessert
Service was great. It was a Saturday afternoon so reasonably busy. Portions were decent and I was bursting at the seams afterwards. No complaints :-)

It is a good place and they quite often serve complimentary drinks as well. The food is good not amazing and the staff is also professional.
Overall an average experience.

We have been here quite a few times since we live nearby and we'd be coming even more often if it was dog friendly. The food is always good, with authentic Italian flavours and changed seasonally. Last week for example we enjoyed some stunning pumpkin and buttata starter and an incredible pork and aubergine main. Good and expert service and a nice bar downstairs, Union Street Cafe never fails to disappoint

We began our day with cocktails, a three-course meal and Prosecco at Union Street Cafe.

My starter was Burrata, Augergine and Balsamic Vinegar… and I may have licked the plate slightly!

For mains we both went for Homemade Egg Rigatoni with Spicy Sausage…

This was so bloody good. We just about had room left for dessert where we both had Raspberry Sorbet and Yogurt, which again was really good! 

After dinner, we popped downstairs to the Union Street Bar where we shared a carafe of wine.

We arrived and were asked to sot downstairs in the bar area. We got seats and were not sure if anybody was going to take our order.. Due to no staff behind small bar or within the bar area itself!
Once we arrived at our table, we reviewed the menu.
Staff were fantastic, very attentive and friendly. The menu is in Italian.. So that has it's challenges straight away.
I adored my starter but my Rabbit pasta dish was a let down. However, my friend loved his food.
Enjoyed my evening but I have to be honest, I wouldn't rush back.

My second visit to this super restaurant. I had to think for a while as to why I liked it so much to return within a week and it's simple; this restaurant has got the balance just right.

I love the staff (at least the ones I've encountered) who all appear genuinely friendly and eager to please. They go about their business quickly and efficiently but without making you feel rushed or pressured. The salon itself has a great atmosphere, especially after one or two of their recommended aperitifs, it's bright and spacious.

Both of my visits were at lunchtime where there is a lunch menu as well as a limited à la carte selection. By limited, I don't wish to imply inferior or restricted. I prefer to not plough through line upon line of offers.

The food itself, well you should go but I think it's excellent and good value. I'd go again this week if I could think of an excuse. It was my birthday the first time and I entertained a visiting friend yesterday. Happy days.

Why Waste Annual Leave?

Came here for a girly Sunday lunch and we couldn't have chosen a more ideal location for a group of ladies who hadn't seen each other in a long time. The concept behind their Pranzo Sunday lunches are slow lunches with lots of courses and we had the option of choosing between 2, 3 and 4 courses. It has quite a casual interior but add in the free flowing Prosseco for another ten pounds and you'll feel like you are brunching in New York!

Before selecting the starter, I was tempted by the arancini aperitini, 5 tiny little balls of cheesy risotto magic, served beautifully hot and a perfect little mouthful to whet the appetite. 

The rest of the group all went for a pasta dish or gnocchi dish and then a meat dish but I decided to try the Sraciatell with bell pepper anti pasti, a type of compressed cheese, similar to buffalo mozarella.  With the simplicity of the cheese, drizzled with some oil and served with delicious roasted soft peppers, this was a light and refreshing course. I did taste a forkfull of the gnocchi with peas and each little piece was so soft and tender that I was a little envious.

For our second course, 3 of our group chose chicken and I selected sea bass with chard, which was cooked perfectly with a fresh crispy skin and a lovely relish and sauce on a bed of chard. 

There was a reasonable wait between courses but this is not a restaurant to come to if you are after a hurried meal, not on a Sunday in any case. The ethos of their Sunday lunches is slow dining and we were thrilled to have been able to spend nearly 4 hours in there, eating at our own pace, gossiping likee school girls and not feeling in any way rushed.

The highlight by a miel though was the dessert. We sacrificed trying options sucuh as Earl Grey Pannacotta, gelato of the day which was white chocolate and a type of chocolate panna cotta in favour of their cake of th e day - a tart with chocolate ganache and covered in Piedmont hazelnuts. We were all so tempted by this that between 5 of us, we ordered 3 of these tarts to share and not a crumb went waste. The hazelnuts were packed full of that beautiful flavour and gave the rich decadent chocolate a perfect crunch. Perhaps we should have ordered one each!

I would definitely return here for a Sunday lunch and it is ideal for a group brunch or lunch with fresh ingredients, great flavours and if you are vegetarian, they have a great selection of veggie dishes on the menu.

Had the 3 course deal with a free cocktail on arrival! Nothing spectacular about the restaurant however nothing to fault either. Had a good night out catching up with friends.

We love the beef Wellington and the sticky toffee pudding so much! The service was great. Two -sun and Christian were really nice. We are pleased we came here for our last dinner in uk!

Thank you for an amazing service from jeehan and Darwin and team. Food was great along with the waiting. Only thing I was disappointed about was that the reservation was for my anniversary and we didn't get an anniversary plate. But the drinks had made up for it. Thank you! Loved the experience.

The food was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was modern and had very amazing views. Our server Klara was super attentive and helpful. She was always there when we needed and made the experience an 11/10. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It's a must visit.

We visited for a lunch on 14th June and were using a BuyaGift voucher. The menu associated with BuyaGift has substantially less choice, but that didn’t cause us a problem. Starters (spicy wings / cauliflower) were generous in size and very tasty. Main meals (poke bowls) were also very tasty and very well presented. The service was excellent. A great time 👍🏼

Absolutely delicious lunch! Gabi was a truly wonderful host- nothing was too much trouble. The beef Wellington was insanely good- we’ll be back to have that again without a doubt!

I was immediately welcomed into the hotel and seated quickly. Natasha provided excellent service. She was assisted by others who promptly brought out the food and cleared plates efficiently. I had the cod and it was delicious! The potatoes and artichokes were outstanding. I would definitely eat it again. The GM, Javier, was kind and pleasant as he checked on me and other guests. It was an experience you would expect from a Ramsay restaurant although it remained casual.

The service was only just surpassed by the food, and the food was amazing. Beef wellington, yes. The mashed potatoes, heavenly. The waitress we had, funny, attentive, and super friendly. One of the best meals we've had in Europe.

That was probably the best food I ever ate. It was awesome we took the beef Wellington Experience and the kid had sirloin steak. It was amazing. We took a lot of different starter to taste different food. Perfect experience in my book 10/10

We were greeted and cordially sat right away, even without reservations. We thought it was one of the best tables in the place next to the window. The patience and care from Raf was beyond this world, he and management were so accommodating to our requests. We have been to Hell's Kitchen in Las Vegas, but honestly... This is how a Beef Wellington should look and taste! Kudos to the chef and his kitchen for preparing such delicious food. The meal in the words of the owner "F**king delicious!". An amazing experience we will always cherish and look forward to repeating in the future, when we cross the pond once again. Thank you all at Bread Street Kitchen for making our seventh anniversary so memorable!

My friends suprised me with a spontaneous travel from Hamburg to London and took me to Gordon Ramsay‘s Bread Street to celebrate my birthday with them! Loved the atmosphere, the food and the surprise „Happy Birthday“ dessert. Special thanks to Klara and Jihan from there for this wonderful evening in a relaxed setting. We highly recommend it. Cheers!

Food was great. My mom enjoyed the ceaser salad with anchovies in it. The burger tasted great. Even better when you add in other condiments that they provide to you. The icing to it was the customer service which they were both professional and delegate. Went further beyond when they returned a bag we forgot just after we left.

In London for a few days and was happy to stop here after a long flight. Javier was amazing! He greeted us when we first walked in (hungry, starving and tired) and was a great host! He made some great drink and food recommendations and his service and attitude were fantastic! We noticed that he seemed a little busy running around hosting, talking orders and organizing everyone on the floor. We were blown away by the atmosphere and his service. Definitely recommend checking out this place if you have some time! We will 100% try and make it back!PS I also stupidly left my purse at the restaurant and was able to get it back no issues because Javier saved the day!! Thank you so much !!

A truly great hidden gem in Southwark! Came for a special occasion with my partner and the service was wonderful. The reception staff and especially the manager Martina and Carlo made us feel very welcome. The food was exquisitely delicious , especially the tuna tartar and the grilled cod. Truly recommend this place!
