Really nice and relaxed. A limited menu, but with tasty variety. The truffle chips are deliciously indulgent side that I can highly recommend, although maybe worth sharing because they're very rich. There's a nice selection of wine and helpful, attentive staff.

Whyte & Brown shows the real British casual dining experience in a very friendly setting based mostly on chicken. The place is cozy from the inside and the staff is easy-going.
We took some time to view the menu and we ordered the following menu items:
-Crispy chicken skins: very tasty and you may crave more.
-Sriracha honey glazed toasted seeds wings: very tasty
-Chicken supreme: one of the best dishes
-Chicken Ceasar Salad: regular taste
-Sweet potato fries: very well spiced!
-A very tasty salad ghat contains avocado and bacon crumbs (forgot its name)
All food ordered were worth the try.
The experience went smooth and no inconveniences were faced.
I recommend Whyte & Brown for all groups of friends willing to be part of a tasty casual experience that offers tasty chicken dishes.

Went here late Thursday evening and Kingly Court was buzzing with people. It's a really nice location with a courtyard of other restaurants and bars.

Overall I had a nice experience here. I got the chicken souvlaki which was really tasty. It came with two sauces and pitta bread, among other garnishes also. You'll have to excuse my photo! I demolished my dinner before remembering to take a picture..but I wanted to show the idea of the dish.

Had really tasty chicken goujons to start and chicken skins as a snack. All delicious, I would definitely come back.

Awesome little spot in Soho, easy going food, not cheap when you're converting South African Rands into Pounds.
I had the chicken with smashed potatoes, was delicious.
The Burger looked amazing.
Wine by South African standards was extremely expensive. We're well versed on what wines truly cost.
Won't scurry back in a hurry and that's only because there are far too many eateries to enjoy in the city.

When someone says to me 'craft beer', my immediate response is 'craft burger'. It's like Tom and Jerry - the two kind of go hand in hand now, don't they? But what about craft beer.... and free range chicken?. Ok, so I admit it doesn't quite have the same ring to it, but when it's done by Whyte and Brown, it throws craft burgers out the water!!

Great place, even great food with a super friendly service that makes you feel welcome!
The only downside to the experience was the wind that day but otherwise a lovely experience for the first meal in London!

Kingly Court is fast becoming a favourite of mine, home to my favourite cupcakes in Crumbs & Doilies and my favourite burger restaurant Stax. In a bid to work around all the restaurants and bars there, Whyte & Brown was next on the list.

Including free-range Yorkshire chicken, I was seriously impressed with the variety of dishes on the menu. Think hot sticky wings, salads, whole rotisserie chicken, burgers and souvlaki.

I chose the pulled chicken bap; a gorgeous light onion bap filled with lashings of BBQ pulled chicken and blue cheese slaw. Perhaps not a first date meal, or for business meetings, but the mess is so worth it. Boy went for the summer fillet burger, tender and juicy, in a brioche bun with peashoots and a sour cream and spring onion dressing. We both 'shared' the chicken crisps to start: roasted chicken skin seasoned with W&B salt.

It is often the case that cities have little bits of themselves stashed away, even in central/touristy areas such as Oxford Street; surely enough Iā€™d more easily find my way out of the Minotaurā€™s Labyrinth than figuring out where Kingly Court is (even after nearly 5 years here), but once you do find it the place has a great intimate vibe, one which, if I had been to places like San Francisco ever in my life, I would say is like that.

I had a taster of the draft beers at Whyte & Brown, the honey beer crisp and light and went well with the South crab on toast, handpick crabmeat, mushy avocado and apple matchsticks. The extraordinary Exotic Mess is Whyte & Brown take on the classic eton mess, with mango, zingy pineapple, passion fruit and bananas.

The half chicken was covered in W&B signature seasoning and steeped in fresh lemon, thyme, garlic and olive oil, then served three ways. The marinated breast was roast-grilled under a brick and accompanied by a 24-hour slow-cooked thigh confit and 12-hour slow-cooked wing.

I love coming to this place when I'm in London. It's at the bottom of Carnaby street in Kingly square. The food is delish and really nicely presented. Pretty, healthy, delicious. I had a warm butternut and beetroot salad with grilled chicken, rocket and feta, with balsamic dressing. SO good. The cappuccino is average, but they do craft beer and nice wines by the glass so you can miss the coffee and just have the good stuff. And there's enough less healthy stuff to choose from if that's your wish!

We entered W&B on the top floor of Kingley Arcade (which btw is finally a vibrant place now!) and we were greeted by the waiting staff who are attentive and friendly. i'm a sucker for good decor and this place has it in bucket loads, certainly pulling off the NYC loft apartment vibe!

We were seated, and to my partner's dismay, the new W&B menu is not the one listed on Zomato! Her grumbling aside we good stuck in to Southern chicken bites and crab on toast to start which i thought was nice and succulent and very tasty! No complaints! great starting food!

We moved on to the mains, and my partner not being the biggest fan of chicken did struggle. I however loved the main menu options, going for the chicken kebab, which was smoky and delicious!. My partner going for the shredded burger, which she enjoyed albeit somewhat reluctantly!

Whatever you try, get a side of fries, they're awesome!

On the drink side of things, the summer cup is amazing and good fruit taste to balance a huge savoury menu!.

Overall W&B is great.... Just so long as you love chicken in all forms, working on the basis you do; you'll have lots of choice of great quality dishes among slick surroundings and pleasant staff!

Offered by Zomato a dinner (thanks!) I had the chance to enjoy several different dishes in this concept restaurant: only chicken and craft beers.

I tasted the chicken crisps, croquettes, the scotch egg, the half chicken cooked in the beer, the asparagus and the sweet potato fries with 2 beers. The quality and fantasy of the food was great, can't complain about the presentation and quantities as well, service warm and fast, taste felt a bit sacrificed by the fact everything is just about the chicken but if you are a chicken lover this is going to be your paradise! If I had to choose in between the food an the beer I'd say that the beers are definitely the best, I'll be back for a new tasting session!

We booked an upstairs table for a midweek dinner in this deceptively large restaurant in Soho. The concept of Whyte & Brown is that their menu is focused on chicken and craft ales. Sounds like it could be boring but in fact the menu is exceptionally creative and the beers are well sourced.

We started with chicken crisps while we reviewed the menus as they were singing to me, and I wasn't disappointed with the large sheets of crispy chicken skin we were presented with. They were a touch under-seasoned but perfectly crispy.Ā

For our starters I chose the ham and cheese croquettes and my boyfriend had the chicken scotch egg caesar salad. Both portions were very generous and my croquettes were completely delicious - served with a lovely smokey mayo. The chicken scotch egg dish was presented beautifully on cos lettuce with plenty of cheese, flavoursome dressing and a crispy slice of pancetta. This dish both looked and tasted impressive - I had imagined the minced chicken would be slightly bland but it was certainly not.

After these large starters we were already starting to feel full but managed to force down our tasty main courses: chicken and leek burger and chicken milanese (breaded chicken served with spicy tomato sauce, melted cheese and ham). Greedily we had ordered sides of skinny frites and house slaw, and sweet potato chips. The frites were true matchsticks and perfectly cooked; the sweet potato chips were topped with feta and coriander. Lovely, but we barely made a dent in them as we tried to get through our main meals.

The chicken milanese was cooked to perfection and was again a huge portion. It's great to see that Whyte & Brown responsibly source their poultry so you can eat without guilt. The burger was juicy and tasty but fell apart almost immediately and was very hard to eat.

We didn't realise until one of us got up to use the loo that there was a specials board with other dishes - it would be helpful for the waiters to draw attention to this.

My boyfriend is a massive craft beer fan so was in his element with the comprehensive menu. I really liked the Hiver honey beer but he tried three different ones and pronounced them all delicious.Ā

We were too stuffed for pudding although I wasn't tempted by anything on the menu except the salted caramel ice cream - maybe next time!

Overall we were very impressed by the creative menu of well cooked food, friendly and efficient staff (despite it being very busy) and funky venue. Ā Definitely worth a trip there, and overall not too pricey (Ā£70 for nibbles, 2 starters, 2 mains, 3 sides and 4 beers). We'll be back.

I really enjoyed this restaurant, largely on account of its cool vibe and its considerate staff. The stylistic dƩcor and diligent waiters serve as a perfect backdrop to the majesty and splendour of the sumptuous dishes that one can dine on in Whyte & Brown. The dishes have been created with the utmost of care and inventiveness, with the result being plates of delightfully intricate and perfectly executed food. Well worth a visit!

If I had to summarise the Oxford Circus/Regent St area in one word, that would be "busy". If anything that's an understatement. "Hectic" is probably the more accurate term and overwhelmingly so. At times it seems like it's where the whole of London collides and congregates into one massive pool of semi-organised chaos which is just one "tourist-suddenly-stopping-in-the-middle-of-the-street" away from toppling over. It's for this reason that I try to avoid it and the human slaloming that accompanies every visit. Ask any Londoner and I'm confident they will say the same.

However, in amongst all the craziness are little pockets of relief which are quite cool so long as you know where they are. One such pocket is Carnaby St which, though not new, is still relatively (and I do mean RELATIVELY) quiet compared to what's out THERE. What is quite new however is the development (or redevelopment) of Kingly Court as a top notch place for dining and being merry with a list of residents including Shoryu Ramen, Rum Kitchen, Stax and soon Senor Cerviche. With neighbours like this, you've got a tough gig holding your own but Whyte and Brown are showing that they are up for the challenge.

I'd heard good things about Whyte and Brown before through the grapevine with a common theme consistently reappearing - good chicken and good craft beer. I'm so-so on craft beer but boy do I love chicken so when I was asked whether I wanted to go check it out for a review, well, I wouldn't say no to that. So with that full disclosure now out there, please be as skeptical as you wish with this blog.

The food was consistently very good, making it difficult to pick out any specific highlight. Starters of chicken crisps, the scotch egg, the Southern fried chicken bites and crab on toast were followed by mains of beer can chicken, the chicken, leek and bacon burger and fish and prawn souvlaki and a side of the truffle mac and cheese. To finish we went for the exotic mess and some sorbet.

If I had to recommend anything, I would say go for the South-coast crab on toast (crab meat, smashed avocado and apple matchsticks on toast) or Southern fried buttermilk chicken (fried with a spiced paprika flour coating and served with garlic lemon mayo) to start and the half beer can chicken (roasted supreme, slow cooked thigh, drumstick and wing finished with it's cooking juices and a glug of beer) as a main because this was one of the better roast chickens I've had in London being that it retained a lot of moisture even in the breast. The desserts are a toss up and lends itself to personal preference. In general, there was nothing I could really fault about the meal either in aggregate or by individual dishes (and as you can see, dining in a table of 3 meant we got through a number of dishes).

Furthermore, given its location, I don't think paying Ā£6-Ā£7 for a starter, Ā£11-Ā£14 for a main, Ā£3-Ā£4 for sides and Ā£6-Ā£7 for a dessert is unreasonable and I think the price accurately reflects the meal you're getting. For a casual night out (which this place I envision is designed for), you could easily spend Ā£30-Ā£35 per person for a 3 course meal with drinks and walk away happy. However, more will inevitably be spent if you decide to take up their suggested craft beer pairings (that's right, CRAFT BEER parings, oh how times have changed).

So even given all the choice at your fingertips in Kingly Court, keep Whyte and Brown firmly in your decision tree especially if you're in need of some hearty comfort food.

In my mind at least, it's onto a perhaps unfairly Nandos-dominated landscape that Whyte and Brown appears. I know it's not a chain like Nandos, but it feels distinctly - even strangely - like one. Perhaps they're thinking of expanding - in that case it would make for a nice looking chain / brand. For a standalone restaurant, though, it lacked a personal touch in the way many gastropubs might. In a way, actually, it reminded me of the chain of restaurants Bills - wooden interiors, impersonal furniture and stuff on the walls that isn't really meant to be scrutinised. Lacking character, but oozing class.Ā

That said, the menu is more focused than Bills', which I find a bit scattershot and unsatisfying. It's also nicer than your average gastropub, and the place was abuzz when I visited with friends a last week (which can't be said of the usually half-empty gastropub I used to work at). As you've probably surmised, the menu is chicken-centric - though a bit expensive chicken, mind. Ā£13.50 for half a chicken was a little too much for me so I went for a chicken, bacon and leek burger. It was tasty, a bit delicious even - but for Ā£11.50 it maybe missed the kind of va va voom the price might suggest. It's probably the cheapskate in me, but when restaurants primarily offer mains without sides for the price of mains with sides you expect a level above; I'm not sure whether or not I got that, though it was very tasty.

What did have va va voom were the sweet potato fries I decided to have on the side (Ā£3.95). Coming with feta and chorizo, they were absolutely delicious and over way too soon. The same could be said of the chicken crisps (Ā£2.50) my friend ordered for starters and later probably regretted when I ate most of them (sorry again for that, mate). Simple as anything, I wish there'd been ten times the portion (though, for my health, I was glad there wasn't).

The cheese board for dessert (Ā£7) was good and great value for money for sharing, though knowing we were all going to share it might have been helpful to have a few more than the 7-8 crackers we were given as the amount of cheese on the plate was a little disproportionate. The beer I had with my meal was tasty too, and well recommended by the attentive and easygoing (in the right way) waiter.

All in all I really enjoyed my meal and, returning to the comparison with Nandos, I came away from it thinking that it offered something different - more class, more nuance, somewhere you might spend an evening rather than go before doing something else. But also more money spent, and I'm not sure to what extent it was worth that difference in price. Whether or not its classiness would be enough to ensure its success as a chain is a separate (and hypothetical) matter. What I can say for certain is that it was an enjoyable meal and I'd probably go there again if I was in the area - even if only to munch on more of those chicken crisps and sweet potato fries!

A very decent meal. For a chicken restaurant, the main vegetarian option - the souvlaki with halloumi was great, with a multitude of flavours to sample alongside - beetroot hummus, tzatziki, pomegranate, and probably some I've missed out.Ā

The sweet potato chips were fantastic, the right amount of crispy and good mayo. (minor issue: this trend of sticking chips in a mini-bucket is getting ridiculous).Ā

The service was great, but the price was relatively steep. It's probably a good place for a date or a reasonably special occasion but not really a place you'd go regularly.

I'll kick off by saying that the food is nice. The chicken was tender, the marinade was good, the chips were crispy. But who is the restaurant aimed at?

Ā£12 for a burger is a bit steep, but you'd assume you'd be getting a premium cut of dry-aged beef or something like that, but it's a chicken burger. I appreciate that the whole concept of the restaurant is based around chicken and that the chicken is free range, but chicken never sings like a cow.

There just isn't the variation and depth of flavour in chicken as there is in beef, so to pitch the burgers at the same level as a premium burger place just seems confused.

One more thing, and this seems like an unfair comparison. People complain about the state of the country's high streets, but I'd say 75% of people in Britain have eaten at Nando's. They are for most people the benchmark of a chicken restaurant. Ā£7.00 for a Nando's 1/2 a chicken or Ā£14 for a Whyte and Brown chicken. Obviously the difference in quality is noticeable, but is it worth double?

Probably not.

Bottom line is, if Whyte and Brown want to convince people to pay double for their chicken over Nando's, they lose. If they want to convince people that chicken is worth more than beef, they lose.

It's a good execution of a flawed idea.

For centuries weā€™ve pondered, ā€œWhich came first, the chicken or the egg?ā€™ Itā€™s obvious at the Whyte and Brown Restaurant in London- both come first!
Located in one of my favorite hot spots, Kingly Court in Carnaby Street, this beautiful restaurant focuses on just two ingredients, chicken and egg. Ok, thereā€™s another ingredient they incorporateā€¦ CRAFT BEER!
I stopped in for a quick lunch just before attending Think Inkā€™s Black Roses and Kraken Rum Valentineā€™s Day event and had a truly exceptional experience.

First, I ordered the Croquette Balls with Smokey Tomato Sauce from the Starter menu. It features pancetta, shredded chicken and bechamel sauce.Ā
Next, I selected the Wild Mushroom Risotto Scotch Egg from the Chicken and Egg portion of the menu. Combined with truffle oil, aged Parmesan and healthy blend of curly kale, this dish is phenomenal!
Aside from the food being spectacular, I was really impressed with the service. I had the fortune of working with Vance McAllister, the Operations Director, when choosing my courses. I have to say, his knowledge of wine is top notch. He spent several minutes discussing my taste preferences and chose a glass that matched both of my food selections perfectly. Actually, he suggested an option for each course, but considering I was heading to an event sponsored by Kraken Rum, I needed to pace myself for the day. ;-)

The restaurant spans several floors, and you can even eat outside.
No worries, they share the courtyard with Wright Bros. Soho Oyster House, and there are numerous heaters so you wonā€™t get too cold on those chilly London days.
Other reasons you should peak your beak around Whyte and Brown Restaurant:

- They offer fantastic deals for Londoners. During the Tube Strike, if you quoted ā€œKeep Calmā€ when you ordered, they took a whopping 50% off your food bill. Oh yeah!!! And when the strike was cancelled on the second week, they still offered 25% off. BOOOM!Ā
- Their new menu debuted on February 19th and aside from offering many seasonal selections, it concentrates even more on pairing craft beers with their food. Check out their website to learn about their current Early Bird promotion.

- They purchase products from British producers and make an effort to know them personally. This includes working with micro-breweries across England.

- And finally, you should check them out, because I SAID SO!

Whyte and Brown was more than a mere far-fetched reference to illiterate Caucasians and their intellectually superior friends from New Delhi: it was also a restaurant. I'd heard about this place through the grapevine. One day, when strolling through a vineyard in Bordeaux trying to have a day of peace without being pestered by adverts, fliers and salespeople, a disheveled man approached me from nowhere, looked around conspicuously and whispered the words "Whyte and Brown". I was like "No - white and red... and rosƩ", what an idiot, I thought!

So yeah naturally I ended up in Whyte and Brown in Soho just off Carnaby Street. I didn't know what to expect - the random hobo in the vineyard didn't tell me what it was; he just showed me the location on his iPhone. Apparently they pride themselves on their chicken and beer. So that's what I ordered: the chicken, leek and bacon burger (being a Welshman anything with leek in it will float my boat) and the Whyte draught lager.

... Except they didn't have any of their Whyte nor Brown draught beers, only ridiculously expensive bottles of ale. Due to the fact that my wallet is the size of my attention span I obviously... hang on new cat video.... hehehehe he's chasing the dog.... I love stereotype reversals... I obviously refused the beer. Points deducted for that. I also ordered some fries to share with my friend, as well as the chicken and pancetta croquette starters.

The service was great and the food was brought promptly. The croquettes were a delicious mix of potato, chicken and cheese that I could have eaten many more of - I have an appetite that's bigger than Justin Bieber's ego by the way so I'm not sure if that compliment really helps the food stand out...

But this one might: the chicken, bacon and leek burger I had there was the best chicken burger I've EVER had! The addition of caramelised leek was inspired and the chicken patty was clearly made from real chicken meat, which is more than could be said of McDonalds, where the only other time one can be seen eating such parts is on RedTube. The burger was of such good quality I'd definitely come back just for that!

The fries, however, were disappointing. I was expecting quite thin-cut chips but these were pretty much air! Luckily my friend had ordered the sweet potato fries and while I had been put off by the seemingly healthy aspect of that food they were far tastier and actually had substance to them. Next time I'll get those!

So overall it was a great experience. The restaurant has a lovely balance of classy enough to attract a fairly high-end market, yet quirky enough to be a cool place for young people to go for food or a beer after work.

Pros: AMAZING chicken burger, great service, great atmosphere
Cons: Unavailability of beer, very disappointing fries.
Would I recommend?: Hell yeah! Next time I'm getting the sweet potato fries though.

Located just off Carnaby Street, Whyte & Brown is ideally placed- central without being impersonal. It's courtyard location gives it a nice intimacy and allows room for some outdoor seating.

We were seated by the window upstairs by a chatty Italian waiter. Selecting our food was an ordeal that took a good 15 minutes for us indecisive folk- everything looked sooo goood! There was something for everyone. Pulled pork burgers to chicken souvlaki to seared fish. Mouthwatering stuff. Each dish also comes with a recommended ale in the menu which is a nice feature. Unfortunately I was a bit tight on cash so didn't go for a drink. In the end we decided to sample the chicken and pancetta croquettes to start. They were piping hot and came with a nice cream tomato dip- delicious! I chose the twisted souvlaki for my main, and my companions elected the chicken bacon burger and chicken paillard for themselves. Everything was well presented and the service was efficiency with a smile. The food was very good. All in all a lovely experience. Will definitely be coming back!

Was lucky enough to visit Whyte and Brown on a sunny day last week. Having only vaguely heard of the restaurant before, I couldnā€™t have had a better experience that night.

Would admit that if it wasnā€™t for my friend I would have walked past Kingly Courts entrance, but this hidden location is one of W&B charms. We were seated on the second floor where they had all the windows and doors fully opened and you could vaguely hear the typical Soho buzz, kind of romantic haha.

Menu and concept are fun and I loved the drinks suggestions with the dishes. I ordered the Pulled Pork Bap - which was so well cooked and my kind of BBQ sweet, combined with an OK slaw. The suggested dark ale was a great choice too(they actually ran out of the suggested one on the menu but the staff was helpful enough to quickly suggest a replacement). Made the mistake to order ice cream after that (too.much.food), which didnā€™t wow me.

I would most definitely be back. A. Because now that I actually did some research I regret not ordering something more interesting or special. B. location, location, location - Iā€™m so put off by Sohoā€™s general lack of intimacy in most places that Iā€™ve actually started avoiding the area. W&B gives you some peace.

Aah, Kingly Courtā€¦what a charming location for a restaurant indeed. After hearing a couple of people go on and on about Whyte & Brownā€™s unique menu I decided to give this place a try and was rewarded with an unpretentious evening of good food paired well with delicious beer.

The restaurant was quite chirpy for a Mid-week evening and we were immediately met with friendly service and seated on the second floor. Everything on the simple menu sounded great and we were surrounded by people being served gorgeous looking food which made it a little difficult to decide. A quick look on Zomato for reviews and recommendations helped us along and I went for the Bacon and Leek Burger. The burger arrived in its beautiful monstrosity and was the perfect order after a long work day. The caramelized Leeks were a strangely inviting addition to the otherwise standard burger. When you need to roll up your sleeves, pay no heed to company and cutlery and just work those hands on the buns ā€“ you know itā€™s a good day.

A special mention for the Plum Bakewell Tart which I ordered for no reason, it wasnā€™t like I was hungry or craving for dessert. The warm Catalan Custard that the tart came with was delicious and Iā€™m sure I would have enjoyed it much more had I not already stuffed-face-with-said-burger.

In a Nutshell: This is a delightful place to visit sometime during the week for its innovative twists on classic dishes paired with beer. Portion sizes are huge, so order judiciously.

After some cocktails, we decided to go for a bit of a stroll through Soho to find some food. We eventually settled on Whyte & Brown, an attractive Chicken vs Egg restaurant nestled (sorry) in the charming Kingly Court.

We wasted no time ordering our Brick Chicken (cooked 3 ways), Chicken, Bacon & Leek Burger, and Pulled Chicken Bap. There is so much to choose from - Pulled Ham Hock, Chicken & Leek Pie and Slow Cooked Wild Rabbit & Chicken Ragu might make it on to my plate next time.

They have recently updated their menus with beer pairing suggestions which I always appreciate. Monday is Bird & a Beer night - Ā£10 for Crispy Slow Cooked Duck with a W&B Whyte beer. They have got a great range of bottled beer (with contributions from Moor, Pressure Drop, Ilkley and Cheddar Ales amongst others) and have two Whyte & Brown beers on draught which I believe are made specially for them by the Red Willow brewery.

Chicken does seem to win the argument over Eggs here, but there is enough on the menu to get fans of les ouefs egg-cited (I'm surprised it took me three paragraphs to make that pun, to be honest). I'm not sure I've ever seen a Wild Mushroom Risotto Scotch Egg before - one for my friend at rageagainstthemushroom.com

Whyte & Brown have jumped on the London cronut train with their W&B Warm Cronut (tossed in cinnamon sugar and topped with ice cream). I still haven't tried a single cronut / cro-dough / do-sant / crodo baggins yet.

Although our stay was fairly brief, Whyte & Brown left a lasting impression. Our waiter was on top form, and the food & drink hit the spot. The decor is modern but cosy, and the Kingly Court location is hard to beat - well worth a visit.

I remember reading a review where they said that a concept restaurant based around chickens and eggs was a bit barmy, but I think it's fantastic as they're two things I like to eat a lot of.

It also means they can do quite a variety of dishes - and continue the theme into dessert as eggs can be such an integral part of custards, ice creams and meringues.

My friend had been there twice before already and had extolled its virtues so I expected it to be pretty good. And we did have a lovely meal. It took quite a while to decide on which chicken dish I wanted exactly - they have something for every mood - chicken soup or cassoulet for comfort food, burgers for indulgence, or salads and souvlaki if you want something lighter. You are equally spoiled for choice with starters and finally we decided to split some of the chicken, pancetta and bechamel croquettes which came with a tasty salsa.

Then we both decided to get the souvlaki which came with chicken done two ways - grilled on the skewer and on the side slow-cooked chicken thigh. This was delicious, and it was all brought together with pitta and tzatziki. On top of this I had a fantastic cocktail made with Japanese whiskey.

I don't normally write reviews but I was just so impressed by the quality of the food and the amazing service I received last night at Whyte & Brown that I had to share. We went for my friend's birthday, I ordered the Korean wings with pear puree (perfect combo, offset the spice perfectly) and she had the crab on sourdough (fresh and delicious). Beautifully presented, amazing value for money. Connor, our waiter, made the night perfect and recommended some of the best craft beers I've ever had. Check out the loos - I won't give anything away! Can't wait for another excuse to go back and enjoy my delicious chicken in the courtyard (apparently the scaffolding is coming down soon). Definitely worth a visit!

Visited Whyte and Brown for the first time last week and I was seriously impressed. It has a funky-fresh atmosphere, in the booming area of SOHO - just off Carnaby Street. Staff were extremely polite and welcoming and quickly found us a seat and ran through specials. Selection of food and drink is excellent - definitely something for everyone here and for a mainly chicken restaurant vegetarians are well catered for which is nice to see.

For main course I had the mini chicken wings, which I can confidently say are the best wings I've ever eaten!
I followed the wings up with the BBQ pulled chicken burger, and again I wasn't let down. It was proper BBQ, the chicken was soft and attention to detail is sublime with regards to flavourings, accompaniments and presentation. Unfortunately I was too full for dessert, but if my first two courses were anything to go by, I imagine they will be just as good! Cannot recommend this place enough, worth a visit if in the area!

I've been to Whyte and Brown on a few occasions now and I've loved it every time! It is relatively hidden away next to Carnaby Street in Kingly Court but it really is a great find.

As is known to most (especially through my moniker) I am a huge fan of chicken, so can't think of any where better ( I'm also partial to a craft beer on occasion)!

The first trip as is required I had the roasted chicken which was lovely, very juicy and served in a flavourful signature gravy.

On the next visit I thought I'd go a bit left-field and tried the mussels (a current personal favourite of mine) and was again impressed. Cooked in craft beer it gives a taste different than your average mussel dish but remains light and is a filling lunch (even though on the menu it is a starter). My companion ordered the tagliatelle and throughout commented on the very generous portion size!

Finally I thought I would bring some friends along to my new haven for drinks as the bar dominates downstairs and the ambience aids a good chat. As is expected the craft beer selection is very good and creates problems for an indecisive guy like me. Luckily as I also ordered the South-west crab on toast the decision was made for me with a paired beer. Once again the food was nice and light, great for a quick snack during drinks.

The only slight problem I have is that the meals are relatively pricey and unfortunately I can't visit as often as I would like. This being said, as is evident from this review, I haven't been deterred yet and look forward to my next visit when the bank balance allows it :) Next stop is the Bangkok Scotch Egg (and let's face it probably the accompanying beer!)

I really liked this place. Great chicken, and loads of distinctive craft beers. I tried three types but would have kept going if it wasn't a school night... Worth investigating.

Solid, tasty food. The truffle tagliatelle was good, though the portion sizes are overwhelming. Amazing looking burgers - need to come back and try one!

As you well know, or at least you should, Saff and I are a food blogging husband and wife team. But on this occasion I dined out with my old boss and friend, Sam, whom I hadnā€™t seen for over seven months. The only reason I mention this is that when we get chatting, neither of us pause for breath. And we had a lot of catching up to do! We had to feel sorry for our cheerful waitress, three times she came over to take our order and three times we had to ask for another 10 minutes.

The kitchen is headed up by Paul Fletcher, his menu kicks off with the puntastic question ā€˜feeling peckish?ā€™ Whyte & Brown is after all a restaurant dedicated to all things chicken and egg. But thereā€™s no dirty deep-fried chicken here, itā€™s all free range and very grown up. The restaurant was relatively full and considering it only hatched in July, there seemed to be a steady flow of customers.

The food was tasty and a great drinks selection. The service was super friendly and fast. I came during a relatively busy lunch period with 6 other colleagues but the staff were very efficient. If I had to nitpick then the macaroni and cheese was mediocre. Not bad but just different to what I was expecting. It was more similar to a carbonara minus the bacon. All in all it was an awesome experience.

Been here several times and always had a good time and delicious food (their mulled wine during winter times is a plus). We have now also tried out their Sunday roast menu, very tasty!

This is a lovely British burger place in the heart of carnaby street. Staff is helpful and friendly. It is generally quite busy, so best to make a reservation. They have some really nice cocktails, and lots of vegetarian/vegan options, along with mostly chicken dishes (burgers + wings).

Had the chicken fillet burger and it was ludicrously tasty. I also consider myself something of a pork scratching connoisseur and I can tell you without doubt that the scratchings here were the best I've ever had. Service was attentive, friendly and quick and the atmosphere was convivial. Top marks all round. Highly recommended.

The restaurant specialises in a selection of chicken dishes from around the world from burgers to roasts. Fore-note, the restaurant is incredibly busy (went on a Monday with no booking so other days will most likely be equally as hectic if not worse). Service is friendly;upon looking at the menu the waiter asked to sit down and explain to us the menu. Food was presented well with the wooden plates complementing the decor. However if you thinking of going for the burger option be prepared to buy fries as an add on. Furthermore my reception of the half roasted chicken turned out dry in the centre with little seasoning. On the side, the drinks, your beers are the standard local beers Camden and Hells and for cocktails, mixed well, but the price to quantity ratio is on the low end so given the option I would stick to wine. Overall the environment is good and service friendly however it is let down by the food and drink, as such overall I would say it would be a 4/5 stars

A decent chicken based restaurant with a relaxed vibe. The food all seemed quite healthy with no grease. And there was a good range of drinks. The courtyard that this is set in has a great feel to it and is a very popular location for anyone hungry. We had the snichell and the kebab and they were both really good.

Nice venue, the chicken burger was nice & light. Although I do prefer a bun with more texture, bun was soft. Staff friendly. Great music & OK cocktails. I would go back there again.

Really appreciate the hostess who dealt with the queues well and seated us quickly. The food was excellent. Had the grilled chicken burger without the avocado, and it was delicious and flavorful! Not your average burger. It has a nice pickled slaw in there. The chipotle hot wings were good (not spicy but yummy still). The sweet potato fries with feta and coriander are great. All in all this place was a great pick for us.

Really enjoyed a relaxed evening sat outside eating delicious food. We had to queue for a table so I recommend to get there early on a nice summers evening. The bar man was keen to make up a cocktail to my taste rather than make one off the menu, and this just added to the fun

Fast service. Helpful staff. Really delicious food and decent prices. I had some halloumi (which was really good) and my wife had chicken with pesto & spinach. We had some truffle fries as side which were delightful. On top of everything we had some dessert too: peanut blondie cake with icecream. The beverages were really good too: Camden Town beer & Totally Minted Orchard Pig soda. If you're ever there, checkout their bathroom too: it looks amazing and they work and help disabled people. All in all: WONDERFUL experience - we will be coming back again!

I booked the wrong date but they were so lovely and sorted it all out for us! The food and drinks were lovely and we would deinfitly go again! Portions are a little on the smaller side so we were advised to get more than one dish per person.

Nice Restaurant! The Whyte & Brown Chicken is the speciality. We ate burgers and they were so delicious. Add a IPA and you couldn't ask for more!

Service a little patchy because it was so busy, but once the rush had died down a bit it was great! The food was very tasty, the schnitzel was perfectly cooked, and decently sized portions, great choice of drinks and a nice atmosphere. All in all, yes, we would most certainly go again........ Well, we did go again, and this time tried their chicken burgers and Caesar salad after the goujons and dips for starters, did not disappoint. Service was spot on today. Well done

Good food, reasonable prices, and a great atmosphere. Staff is always friendly, ambient music isn't too loud or distracting, and the restrooms (although a bit weird as it's a communal experience) are clean and modern. I'd like the portions to be a little bit bigger, but they do have some tasty appetizers if you need a bit more food. (I recommend the sweet potato and mozzarella croquettes.) I've eaten here several times now and it never disappoints. I'll definitely keep coming back. I hope readers will find my review and photo helpful. #TabesTravels

I've been there few times and have good memories of both food and service. The food is not amazing but it's good and casual. Quite pleasant interior especially upstairs. I will go back if opportunity will arise.
