Soooo fresh . Affordable and mega quick. I LOVED IT. PERFECT for a student budget. And they literally brought the pizza to me in under 5 mins. The quantity is amazing too.
Love it love it love it
One of the best and most authentic pizzas you will get. Also its way too cheap and too quick as well. Highly recommend. I have been a regular here for 6 years now.
WE (my better half et moi 😉) first discovered this whilst I was studying at Lse Couple of year's ago... And what a gem it is.
Easy on the pocket especially on a student's budget (back then) 😉😜.
If your looking for simple Flavours, homestyle Italian then this is it.
Love their thin crust Woodfire Oven Pizzas.. Scrumptious and light on your palette.🍕
The Subs are good too... You can dine indoors or.do.a takeaway both work.
Ambience is simple rustic mess Hall sorts, Clean and not over the top.
Staff is warm as a family run restaurant.
Definitely coming back soon.😉
I first discovered Ecco when I was staying in LSE's halls when I'd just moved to London - for no more than a fiver (less if you're eating in), you can have an 11 inch pizza with a variety of toppings. I had the pepperoni, and it was totally tasty. The cheese is a highlight, with plenty of it and an authentic tasting tomato sauce.
It did have a slightly too-soft base in the middle and a bit too much crust for my liking, but for a cheap pizza that don't skimp on toppings or overall taste, it's a great place to drop into - especially if you're on a student budget.
Student on budget means finding the cheapest food and tastiest food. Tucked off the main road a small cafe serving warm hearty pizza.
You judge a place serving pizza by the pizza Margarita they serve. Simple tasty hot and with the right amount of seasoning. In 2012 they served pizzas at £3.50. Does justice to the price. My only suggestion would be if they could make the pizza less greasy. Definitely recommend the place. Take away suggested!!!
Good value for a pizza. £4.50 for a pepperoni pizza works well for lunch. Quick, speedy service and just round the corner from work. Can mix and match toppings and eat in too for a bit extra
We ordered the 'Pizza of the Day' and in less than 5 minutes, this hand-stretched pizza was cooked to a perfect thin crust base. Also ordered the garlic pizza- A must-try for the garlic and pizza lovers. The prices are reasonable and seem to have been the same since 2010! If you decide to dine inside, you'll be transcended to a typical New York Style deli, complete with cheese cake and fresh chiabbatta sandwiches on display.
I have been to this restaurant twice, and the pizza has been delicious both these time. I ordered the garlic pizza both the tomes. and not only is the pizza delicious and cheap, the service is extremely fast too. The place offers great value for money, and all the pizzas are reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this little pizza place.
They bake the pizza in front of you so you don't have to worry about waiting for minutes because within 6 minutes the pizza will go in.
The pizza tastes great too , and very cheap.
Service is also pretty decent so this is a package for students who can not afford much on their meals.
They have some good sandwiches too.
This place surely gets my recommendation.
Ecco Pizza doesn't get enough credit, they have some of the best pizza I have ever tried in London and the service is always great! They are really tiny though, so avoid lunchtime busy hours. But other than that, it is a great value.
Good food, good value for money
My parents and I had lovely dinner here. We weren't sure what to expect as we had many bad experiences in London in terms of Pizza. However, at Ecco, staff was very friendly and welcoming and of course Pizza is good too. It's not the best I had in London but for this price you couldn't get any better.
We had “Focaccia”, 4 cheeses Pizza and Ecco Special. Everything was delicious and really enjoyed this dinner. Especially, the Ecco Pizza was incredibly good! If you consider that you get all this spending less than £20 for three people, does it not sound amazing?
Food was served fast as well. The restaurant was very busy. It’s not a big place and of course there are always many tourists.
I truly would recommend it to anyone who is nearby.
Good pizzas on the cheap. Nice selection of flavours and good drinks too. Can be well served for under £7 per person.
This place is the best, I cannot rate it highly enough! My friend lived next store and we used to go every day and split a pizza and a focaccia. I haven't found a better or cheaper pizza place in London- all the food here is delicious and very inexpensive! Definitely a hidden gem that I highly, highly recommend- it's addictive!
When we stayed at High Holborn residence for our summer school, we had a famous pizza joint right in front of our accommodation. The small size pizza cost 4 pounds. One fine day, a friend discovered this underdog and when we got to know that an 11 inch pizza cost less than 2 pounds, it was an absolute delight!!
Ecco is one of the best and most pocket friendly pizza place in Holborn area. For a quick lunch before class, it is perhaps the best you can come across! Kudos to Ecco!
Its one of the easily overlooked cafe probably and so i call it the "Hidden jewel". This place was suggested to me by my Italian flatmate and when an Italian recommends you to an Italian restaurant, you know its going to be great!
Their prices are super cheap and its freshly made in front of you and so you can feast your eyes even before you can eat it. I have tried their margarita and their pepperoni (two ultimate classics) and I have to say I am a fan. Their 11inch pizza dont feel too heavy and its great for the price. The cheese is just right and their sauce is great without it overpowering the taste of the dough or cheese. its thin crust leaves you feeling like you're eating something healthy.
The staff is great and very authentically Italian(dont know why i wrote that but you get my point).
So if you are ever near covent garden and want good wholesome pizza without any fuss, do try finding Ecco Pizza!
What a great find. Hidden in the back end of Dury Street you will be in for a treat. The setting may look like every other dodgy Italian restaurant on evry street, but don't be fooled. This place is the next level. The waitress will take your order and the Italian baker behind her will grumble something while he makes art in the form of amazing pizza with change from a £5 note... What is also great if you work in the area is the Coffee and Croissant offers in the mornings
Over many years, they have been a reliable thin-crust pizza provider for me and my friends. I remember the days when the cheapest Margherita was £4.50, perfect student grub. They still hand-make them to order and the prices are still unbelievable, given the location and quality.
A delightful alternative to the horrific private-equity-funded factory-made chemical-laden ultra-processed industrial pizza chains out there.
Not much atmosphere, but the place is clean, the service is friendly, and the pizzas are utterly moreish.
I first came here in 2005 when I was a student so was pleasantly surprised to find that 18 years later this place is still going strong and still serving the best pizza in town. Excellent value considering location and the ingredients are as fresh as ever. The pizzas are all made to order and they have a wide selection. They serve sandwiches and also do tasty coffees. Seating can be cramped.
The BEST pizza I've had in my life. Perfectly cheesey, perfectly CRISPY, the pepperoni tasted BEAUTIFUL. It was made very quickly. It would be nice if there was parmigiano reggiano too... it's still really good regardless.
For money, it's a *tiny* bit pricey, but it was definitely worth it!!! :P I will 101% come again.
Great and affordable pizza in a Nice place close to Holborn. Worth a visit.
They have vegetarian and vegan options (with an extra of 1,5 for the vegan cheese which is made of coconut) and the food was nice. Nice staff too
A lovely place. A relaxing spot for a good pizza and beer at the end of the day. recommended.
Got 2 pizzas (goat cheese and garlic) to go in the evening, there's a bit of a wait as they have quite a lot of dine in orders, and they only have 1 person kneading the dough and 1 managing the oven. Prices are very reasonable for London. Size was great for one person - smaller than pizza chains but those are portions for more people..
On flavours.. Absolutely get the garlic one!! I was only just going to get one pizza but the smell of it was so incredible that I had to put another order in. You won't regret it.
The restaurant itself isn't a fine dining venue, but a clean and acceptable place for a quick bite
Simple fresh pizza (and sandwiches/breakfast) we visited on a Monday around 3pm
Friendly welcome and service, 3 × 12 inch pizzas, 3 drinks £30! Fantastic value. Pizza is freshly made far better and authentic, unlike the big franchises!
Highly recommend lots of room out back to sit down.
Open 24 hours! I just flew in and I was looking for something open late They gave me a very friendly hello, took my order right away, the pizza was perfectly cooked and delicious! A great local place for anytime!
We came here by mistake which was a great mistake!
It's the neighbourhood pizzeria which serves really tasty pizzas in a good price!
Two pizzas and 3 drinks cost us 23£.
The place looks like the neighbourhood pizzeria so don't expect much than the great food.
Oh and the manager and the cooks super lovely!
Good pizzas, excellent prices
It a place to have a good pizza for a cheap price, you won't find a fancy place inside though
Forget about Big fluffy crusted(inside is still doughy) italian pizzas. This guys are making the most delicious pizza in the UK soo far !! Crispy, cheesy and it is cheap like a steal. You definetely must try, at least twice a week :))
Literally the best place if you are looking for a classic thin crust Neapolitan style pizza. Cooked in only a few minutes as all great pizza should be and excellent value for money! Don't miss out, seriously. If you are on your way to or from a show near Drury Lane, just pop in and be delighted.
Quaint pizza shop with more room than it appears from street level - in the back (and the largest TV I’ve ever seen, which I quickly tuned into Rick And Morty). Prices are very good for central London and the pizza is great!
This is probably one of my favorite places in London. Authentic, delicious pizza prepared by some of the most efficient Italian pizzaiolos that I have ever seen. Best of all, the prices are remarkably low (~£7 for a freshly baked, small-to-medium-sized pie). One of the greatest value deals in London all things considered.
A new find for me. Walked past many times...but won't anymore. It is a Fantastic Gem.
Uncomplicated, straightforward and seems to Serve some of the best Italian style Sandwiches and Classic style Pizza's I've seen. Comparable to any of the best place's I've gone for Italian anywhere, Worldwide.
....don't believe me. Go find out for yourself. It's brilliant, well priced and excellent value for me.
I'll will be becoming a regular to this place ASAP.
Like it Alot !!!
Easily the best gluten free pizza we've tried. Quick service and reasonably priced, particularly given the location.
Note to restaurant owner if you read this: please update your opening hours on Google Maps!
Great undercarriage, charred but not burnt, sauce and toppings were great and produced in fantastic speed. Fresh dough hand pressed. Best New Jersey styled pizza in London. Also friendly guy making the pizza!
Quiet, unassuming storefront and location, but fantastic pizza. They have a wide variety of options to choose from, and you won't have to spend much on any of it. Great option for a quick and filling lunch if you're out and about!
