Good indian food to taste. Had plain rice and aubergine(brinjal) curry. Very taste. Masala was nice. Had some roti's. It also serves nice drinks. Enjoy the indian flavor in a good hospitality way. Near to hammersmith station.
Delicious Indian food that doesn't break the bank. We ordered 2 curries and 2 rice and that was more than enough for the two of us. Decent drinks menu too.
I am always in search of good tasting fish curry, and as of now the Kerala fish curry at Shilpa is the best one I had in the UK. This is a small, family run restaurant and certainly has the welcoming warmth. Do try the appam and one bite of it will take you straight to the beaches of Kerala state of India. The appam goes excellently well with any curry, fish curry the most. Kerala parotta is another interesting option. Â Service is good, can get really busy during weekend evenings. A great value for money, great taste and home feel is what summarise this restaurant.

For 3 and a half years we lived really close to Hammersmith and I took a bus home from work everyday, and visited plenty of restaurants down King Street. Remember Sagar? And Tuga? And Noodles & Magic? I never noticed Shilpa, and in retrospect, it baffles me how I missed it. I’ve been to Shilpa Hammersmith thrice in the last year and three months, and each time I have adored it.
I didn’t know that Squids were actually termed as Kanava in Southern India. I simply wanted to try something quirky and something belonging to the sea. One of my friends selected Kanava Fry and I went along. This recipe is too good and it is batter fried. This is an excellent starter to try from Shilpa Indian Restaurant.
Last week I went to try something unusual and so I went to Shilpa Indian Restaurant to try some Indian food. I tried grilled sea scallop and it was mesmerizingly tasty. With the right proportion of onion, ginger, garlic, and pepper, this grilled recipe was bliss to the tongue. I surely loved all the other items I ordered there but this was my favourite.
Walked past this restaurant many times and was intrigued. spur of the moment, I decided to come and was not disappointed. The food and service was incredible. The dishes were explained as they were ordered, every member of staff was friendly, service was quick. If you're looking a for a lovely evening and great food, give this place a try!
This is one of the best Indian food I have tasted, I went there with my girlfriend and her parents and immediately after I walked in we got a table for 4, the waiter was nicely polite and inviting. We tried the onion bhaji and bonda, and the kozhi curry. They were really good. Food excellent, Service excellent, Cleanliness excellent. Conclusion 5/5 (with amazing food and super nice people working there this is an absolute 5 star restaurant.)
I wanted to try something spicy so I went to Shilpa Indian Restaurant with my friends. The staff offered us a variety of food items. We were quite confused but they helped us select suitable items for our taste buds. I had chicken 65 which were so good in taste.

Shilpa Indian Restaurant is a good Indian restaurant that offers toothsome Kerala cuisine in Hammersmith area. If you want to try some not so spicy but extremely delicious food then this restaurant is the place to be. I love their food and keep coming back to them for more.
We were a bit skeptical when we came in to this restaurant, but I have heard good things about this place from my friends. So I thought of giving it a try. For starters we ordered deep fried lamb cubes that were mouthwatering tasty and tender. We also ordered kingfish steak grilled and that item was good. However, I would say the food was a little on the spicy side. For the main course we ordered King Prawn Moilee. The dish was awesome, the prawns soft and properly cooked. They used ample curry leaves to bring out the true essence of South India.
There is nothing better than the masala dosas served here. I have been to several other restaurants serving South Indian food, but when it comes to eating wonderful dishes there is nothing compared to the dosas here. There are so crisp from the outside and the stuffing is so unique, that it complements each other giving you a sublime taste. I would say these Indian pancakes are just the twisted start to your mundane days. If you plan to taste and try something different, there is nothing better than masala dosa served at Shipa Indian Restaurant.
I love Indian food. (Wait a minute, I think I've started a post like this before… yes, I have !) Whether it's from the north or the south, I'll eat it - I love the complex combination of spices and the variety inherent in every meal - the rice, the bread
They have an amazing lunch buffet. I was skeptical about it till when a friend brought me the good tidings. If you are in the hammersmith area and looking for good, tasty food on a budget. This is your stop
We went to Shilpa after walking up and down King Street looking for a place to eat. When I looked at the place i was quite convinced i would not be happy eating here. After all how can you find South Indian food that will satisfy your taste buds if its made anywhere outside the region. I was proven wrong. The service was excellent with the waiter catering to our every small need. The ambience isn't much to write home about. The music was regional and a little annoying at times. We ordered the non vegetarian meals, Kerala paratha (flaky wheat bread) and lamb roast. The lamb roast was perfectly done and the spice mix was just right. Tantalizing yet not over powering. The meals were perfectly set and accompanied by deliciously spicy chicken and fish curries. At the end we were so satisfied and stuffed we had no place for desserts. I ordered an Irish coffee which the bartender churned out perfectly layered. My friends however had tea which unfortunately was a bit disappointing considering all the other high notes. At the end of the day Shilpa is a fine restaurant and its something i will miss when I leave the UK.
We went recently on 20th September on My Husband's Birthday to have dinner. He is a big fan of crab 🦀🦀 but not me so whenever he wants to eat that we visit Shilpa restaurant. Also my girls always ordered no. 36 chicken curry delicious none chicken curry has taste like this. Pure authentic Indian food. We will always visit this place as long as they serve tasty Indian food.
Excellent food!!We have been to this restaurant last weekend .we had some starters Aattirachi varattiyathu and kerala beef chilli was extremely delicious and their kerala paratha beef curry is a must try and all dishes we tried was delicious. As a Keralite we found a place where we get authentic South Indian food. The atmosphere and their service was too good
Excellent food. Starter attirachi varattiyath and main Alappey Fish curry with appam was great. Loved the food. As a keralite, I was glad that this restaurant serves authentic Keralan food. Great service by the staff too. Highly recommended for Indian food lovers.
This restaurant is a hidden gem in Chiswick. Had an amazing , very close to authentic Kerala lunch here. Kerala paratha and beef ularthiyadhu were delicious and must try. I also tried Kappa Biryani , it was delicious but I personally felt like there was room for improvement. Fish curry and Kerala brown rice were very good as well. I already know that I will be a regular at this place. Great portion size. I want to try their appam and egg roast , chicken roast etc., next and few other dishes like mappas as well.
This was a truly wonderful experience as this is the only authentic Kerala restaurant at least in West London. Highly recommended.
One of the best restaurants serving authentic South Indian food. Kappa and fish curry is a must try, and kappa biriyani is really delicious. The team is polite and friendly. The ambience is great. We have visited a few times, and we were impressed every time. We will be visiting soon.
Don't judge a book by it's cover. This restaurant is fantastic. We got 4 mains and all were delicious, flavorful, fresh, well cooked and great portions. Sides and breads were equally good. The service was charming and cheerful and helpful. Whilst the decor and place was basic, no more was required and it made for a lovely place for a date. We will be back.
MUST TRY
We visited during dinner hours . Must say . Food and hospitality was impeccable. Very clean but small place . We enjoyed the food we ordered . Do try the kerala Porotta and authentic beef dishes .
Mind that no parking around so better use public transport .
All the best
Tasty Kerala cuisine served here. We had a few dishes to share incl paripu, green bean thoran, beef Ulathiyarthu and Kerala fish curry. All were delicious and would happily recommend. Don't forget to order some appam/hoppers or parata bread to go with the dishes.
1)Good restaurant

3)Clean and tidy
5)Good place for indians to have food
6)They also have vines
7) Little bit expensive too
Food was average, ordered biryani it was horrible.
Plater was nice. Service is also need to improve.
This is our first time trying Shilpa Restaurant. We have had a lot of Indian takeaways in Chiswick but first time giving Kerelan before. We ordered a few dishes to share and was delivered via Uber eats.
The food in general were a bit more spicy than other take away we have had. We tried the chicken tikka masala chicken 65 and cauliflower chilli fry with the kernels paratha. An interesting dish was the lamb erachi mappas- a speciality from central kerela.
One of the best Indian restaurants in London. Loved the Porotta and beef combo. Must try the Kappa & fish curry. Good ambiance and interior. Very welcoming staffs.
This is the first review I have ever written … I have never felt the need to leave a review but after my experience here last night I just had too… wish I was better at writing so I could get across how amazing this place is… the food is absolutely fantastic, it Is by far some of the most flavoursome and delicious food we have ever eaten. And the staff… specially the smiling face of the restaurant the receptionist Nithya so incredibly welcoming and kind...and their chef Sunny and his teams food was amazing.

YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE!
It’s a great experience and has left the best impressions! The ambiance is very welcoming and charming with Mural paintings and music.
The service is unmatched. Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation.
The Kerala Food menu is to die for, is extensive and seasonal to a particularly high standard. IT WAS FIRE!! Definitely fine dining.
They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority.
I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the menu in Shilpa Restaurant. This is my absolute favourite restaurant in London and will continue to visit with friends here again and again.
Do yourself a favour and visit this lovely Shilpa restaurant in Hammersmith...
