Great service and hospitality along with decent food. The manager was courteous to answer all our queries and recommending some good dishes which actually turned out to be good. Good option for indian food in Paddington area.
Decent Indian fare, though I wouldn't say all of it is Mughalai or even North Indian. If you don't equate taste with authenticity, its a good place. Just be aware that they try to 'enforce' a cover charge of 1 main course per person, which can be an issue if you are considering a family style shared plates dinner.
I'm not a fan of Indian food while eating outside India. Ventured here last night and it was a delight. It's an ordinary looking place. I asked the person serving that give me a spicy chicken (it's rare to find in London). He got me chicken tikka balti. It was spicy and very very tasty. Had it with garlic Naan which was very soft and yummy. Feel like trying more stuff here.
First dinner in London, tired, cold, hungry, we opted for this small Indian restaurant located near the apartment.
We were hungry, very hungry. We ordered butter chicken, lamb, lentil soup, chicken tandoori and nam x 5! The food was overall tasty and traditional with a hint of too genuine service.
Cool place with few friends and few beers!
Had a great meal yesterday at the Mughals. Very good food, service and ambiance. When there, be sure to order the freshly baked naan bread!
Liked the blue lights lightning up when you go down or up the stairs when you visit the toilets.
And for the Dutch in London: fish and chips is Brits, maar Londen bezoeken zonder Indiaas te eten kan ook niet. Hier zit je voor een eerlijk bedrag echt heel goed Indiaas te eten vind ik.
Another delicious meal in London. Well, the myth of bad food in the UK was thrown out again on our third night in London! Another excellent meal was served at Mughals, close to the Paddington station. My husband ran across rave reviews of this place, and he had a good feeling about it - rightly so. Since we were unsure what to order, we tried the meal for two, and ordered a bottle of Indian Cab Sauv to complete the meal. Our starters were brought out immediately - yogurt mint coriander dressing, salad, ground lamb (seehk kabab?) and a fried potato onion ball (onion bahjee?). Everything was delicious, nothing greasy, just crispy and flavorful. My husband even enjoyed the yogurt sauce, which is amazing in itself. The wine complemented all the unusual flavors, too. We waited a while for the rest of the meal... I had to pace myself with the wine so I would have some with dinner. Dinner was huge - rice, lamb curry, chicken tikka masala, a spinach lentil dish, and nan. Honestly, I am not sure of the names of all of our dishes but we ate as much as we could! Everything was flavorful spicy, not too spicy that you couldn't taste the food. I would have licked the bowl of the the chicken dish, if I could have gotten away with it - it was that good. The service was very good too. My husband isn't a tea drinker, and they easily substituted iced sweet tea for the hot tea... And they were still willing to give him the hot tea at the end of the meal. This is a place we might go back to before leaving London this trip... And would revisit on our next London trip.
Amazing. I thought this place was fab! really enjoyed my meal and it wasnt expensive either. wasnt too sure about the service charge but it was worth it for the quality of the food
Fantastic. This is the best Indian restaurant I have ever been, nice ambient, very attentive waiter and always welcoming. Everything was there, the food was delicious from starter to Desert. Best lamb Tikka Masala & Mattar Paneer I ever had. The price is reasonable for Manhattan and the location is very convenient just a minute walk form london Paddington . Over all enjoyed a lot
A great value for money if you are in the mood for a delicious north indian buffet lunch. They have an amazing spread of starters, main course and dessert for the buffet lunch. And all this for just less than 8 pounds !
The ambience is also very soft and cosy which makes you enjoy your meal even more !
Thumbs up !
Asked for potato in chicken madras. Initially the waiter said it couldn't be done though he asked the chef who said no problem and I am really glad he did. The meal was fabulous though be aware I have had milder vindaloos!! Staff were nice and chatty and I thought the price was very good considering the area. Would definitely use again when I travel from Paddington
A relaxed atmosphere, with a comfortable sound level. The food was good, and the staff were mainly friendly. As for the prices, they're very reasonable.
Excellent food and atmosphere waiters are attentive and friendly

This is a quaint family owned restaurant that offers a very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious. I've never had mutter paneer that was spicy, but it was still very good. I will say that the naan was very good! The place stayed busy the entire time I was there, and that says a lot! When I come back to London, I'll definitely visit again.
Eat here whenever in London. The Tikka Masala was somewhat disappointing as the Chef seemed to have put too much unflavoured tomatosauce in the dish. Pitty, but I'll be back!

Perfectly sized meals for one! The butter chicken is not like home (Australia) it’s lovely and creamy. Thanks
A nice place! We had a lentil soup which was delicious, PPplain Nan bread,Chicken Tika Mashala and Chicken Madrea both with plain basmati rice! Everything was amazing! Moreover, the staff was realy friendly and happy to assist you.I definitely recommend it!
We had the chicken tikka and lamb masala. A must if you’re in London. The service here was great! The food was excellent! And the Naan was amazing.
The location of the restaurant is very good. It's at a walking distance from Paddington station. The food is good and the place always seems crowded. The quantity served could be improved in my opinion for the price charged as it looks to be on the expensive side with not a great amount of difference compared to other restaurants. Overall a good experience.
Great Indian food with authentic flavors and just the right amount of spice. Service was excellent and the staff very professional. Definitely be back on the next visit to Paddington.
Our best choice so far in London.
Great and testy food. Lovely team and service.
The lamb biriyani was delicious but the chicken tikka balti was a bit tangy .. overall the food was good .. It seems like we have to order one curry per person atleast , no sharing...
Had an absolutely delicious meal. Good portions and amazing flavours. The staff were friendly and efficient. There are renovations planned, so the “atmosphere”will undoubtedly improve in the not too distant future, but the current space is worn and tired. If you can look past the decor, you will not be disappointed by the food, though!
Everything you want and need from an Indian.
I had the Chicken Bhuna, Fried Mushroom rice and some poppadums to accompany the main. Flavours were great, spice was there and it felt about the perfect amount.
The food came very quickly and the wine was delicious also.
Missed the train and found Mughals! Excellent service, delicious food, very happy daughter and mum. Decor is being updated which is needed but the important things - delicious food, properly priced, warm service are all in place. Glad we caught the later train!
Found the environment very comforting and enjoyable, lovely vibe. Food was absolutely amazing. EXCELLENT restaurant to stop by with your family or friends

Delicious food at a good price. Better than the stuff we have in the US. The meat (chicken and lamb) is very tender and perfectly cooked. The warm spices (not spicy) are perfect for a rainy. Quick service, very friendly and accommodating staff. If you have any questions, they explain to make sure you understand. Overall delicious, will come back again.
