What a gem of a place in trendy South Kensington. We walked in and were seated straight away. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Good sized menu with kids pasta options and gluten free pastas available too.
Everything we ordered -- pastas, bruschetta and pizza -- was really tasty and we thought our total bill of £58.70 was decent value.
My only gripe is the lack of a comprehensive wine / cocktail list (hence only 4 stars). There was a short wait for our food and I think a cocktail could've helped keep us busy while waiting.
Delicious Italian restaurant in South Kensington. Been there a couple of times, the food is always delicious and the staff friendly. We had some pizzas and pastas which were really good.

Nice small place with good Italian food and friendly staff. We ordered bruschetta, pizza, and desserts, and the only down was the bruschetta, was too blend.
We decided we were craving some good Italian food and since this place was rated to highly, we thought why not try it out? The place was very busy when we arrived at around 5:45, so it's definitely advised to book beforehand.
We ordered a lasagne, spaghetti carbonara and a baked penne with eggplant and roasted veggies. The food was decent I must say, not too expensive which was nice but kind of average for an Italian place. The pastas certainly didn't blow me away, the carbonara was not very creamy and the baked penne was a little watery.
Overall not a bad place, pretty decent but I've definitely had better Italian food elsewhere.
By far the BEST pizza i ever tasted. I live everything about this restaurant, location is awesome, staff super friendly, presentation of the food ( you make the judgment from the photos ) and most important quality and taste! Best pizza dough i tasted anywhere, in and out of London. Make sure to go over Pierino when you are in town. My compliments to the chef.

Undoubtedly one of the best Italian joints that London has. My boyfriend and I HAVE to eat here at least once, every time we travel to the city. It's almost a given.
The service/hosts are one of the most friendly people I've come across. I personally love their wine lists. As for the food, I'm a proscuitto regular. We've also had MANY pastas out of which the seafood linguini was excellent, and so was the spaghetti in white wine. My favourite though, is probably the gnocchi. One of the best prepared ones I've had. It has a 'from an Italian home kitchen' taste to it.
The insalata tricolore is on my regular re-orders too. The balance of crunchy leaves, creamy avocado, cheesy parmesan and bacon bits is just to die for.
Other than the obvious, we love going there just because they have one of the best locations in South Ken, and it's lovely to just sit on our favourite table outside, be it chilly or warm.

Last time I came was in 1999! Things have gone upmarket, which is lovely with the new decor and comfy chairs. The food is still the same as always, which is why I've come back after all. The cherry on top is the all-round improvements. Better than Pizza Express any day, much as I love Pizza Express, it's inescapable!
London favourite. We spent two weeks in London and this was the only restaurant good enough to merit repeat visits. The atmosphere was cheery and welcoming. All the dishes our group tried were delicious and well-presented. Fresh ingredients were featured in all parts of the meal and their coffee was lovely. Service was attentive without being obtrusive and the waiters had a good sense of humor. Prices were a welcome surprise in a generally over-priced neighborhood. Pierino's has a an excellent reputation and it is well-deserved.
Amazing food. Sat outside in a busy but italianesk setting and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Under 50 quid for 2 meals, dessert to die for and proper Italian coffee to end. Highly recommend

If you looking to spend the evening with your partner and expecting people to respect your privacy then you are sadly mistaken. You will not be lucky enough to get that experience. The ambience is warm and cosy but the noisy might just get to you. I enjoyed the food and the service was very prompt. It was pocket friendly too. I suggest go with friends but not with your partner.
I have visited this place on two occasions and found it to be quite good both times. This is the perfect place to fill your stomach at very reasonable prices. We ordered pasta and some pizza and found them to be delectable. The desserts are also quite delicious. The staff is friendly, quick and efficient. Definitely recommended.
I recently tried this place and was quite impressed with it. The food was excellent, especially the pasta and saltimbocca and was cooked to perfection. There was a wide range of options on the menu to choose from in case of main course and desserts. The service is pretty quick and efficient with the staff being quite warm and friendly. We visited this restaurant for a meal during our honeymoon and we cannot be more delighted. This place is situated in a pedestrian friendly area and is a huge attraction. Coming to our orders, we had seafood pasta which was both quality and quantity along with a bottle of wine. Pricing is reasonable as well. Do visit!

You will love the ambiance, the choice of wines that is being offered and you will find the ambiance very warm and cosy. I do not remember the last time I had such amazing Italian food. A must visit!
I recently tried this place for a bite and had a great time. The food was pretty decent and was served in quite good quantities. The service was pretty decent as well. Even though this place does not give you an exclusive feel but the food quite good. Thus, I would love to visit this place again.
We have been to this place twice now and found it amazing during both of our visits. The food was brilliant and perfectly cooked on both the occasions, probably the best Italian food I have had a chance to lay my hands on. The ambiance here is very relaxing as well. This place serves some really delicious dishes. However, there are some ingredients and factors which may be more or less suitable for everyone's taste. We had a pasta dish with beacon in tomato sauce, it was perfectly consistent. The sauce is over seasoned for my taste but overall i still liked it! Beacon could be crispier!
We were on our way back from a concert and came across this place. We were in a mood to have some pasta and settled upon it. The staff here is very pleasant, quick and efficient without being too intrusive. We ordered some rigatoni pasta and some spaghetti. They both arrived quickly and were very delightful, perhaps the best we have had. The atmosphere here is great as well. Definitely coming back again.
I visited this restaurant while waiting for a show at a nearby theater. The food here is great and absolutely delectable. The dishes were well-prepared and were full of flavor. The service was also impeccable and the staff was friendly and extremely hospitable. I had a wonderful time here and would definitely recommend this place.
The location of this place is very convenient if you were visiting the museum nearby.This place has a tendency to get full and so i had booked in advance, but sadly even then i was still made to wait! The service otherwise was pretty hospitable.

I stopped by this place to have lunch after looking it up on the internet. They have a really nice and delicious menu, and it was becoming difficult to decide. I settled on the cannelloni and it was quite dry and bland. The staff was very chatty and attentive, and the atmosphere was really nice. Shame about the food.
I had a great time having food with my family here. This place offers you with different kind of pastas and wines too. They all are good to taste as well. But, i felt that they should keep certain amount of time interval between the starters and the main meal. Though, the salad was delicious.
i have mixed feelings about the restaurant. Some of the things are decent while others need improvement. The beer was chilled and the lemonades as also decent while my cocktail needed some attention. the place was crowded and we were seated in a cramped corner. The food was good without doubt. The portions are gigantic.

I had a really nice meal at this place, after coming back from a visit to the nearby museum. Immediately upon entering the place, I was stunned by the tasteful yet unpretentious manner in which they had decorated it. It was very clean and welcoming. I had their pasta with mushrooms and cheese, and it was the most amazing thing. The cheese was deliciously fresh, and the pasta was so nice and amazing. The food was truly mesmerizing. The ambiance was quite and relaxing and the prices were quite reasonable. I will definitely visit again.
This place in my opinion , is one of those restaurants which must definitely be tried for being so good.The value for money is quite amazing.The food is totally worth having. The interiors are also very beautiful looking even though it was pretty packed, we had a great time. I would suggest people to try their dessert which is not to missed!
I stayed in this city for two weeks and made numerous visits to this joint. The ambiance here was the best bit. It was fun filled and very inviting. Each of the dishes we called for were, outstanding and full of flavor. They made sure of using fresh ingredients in everything. The service was lovely too. The staff was very attentive, without interfering too much. The place was priced rather aptly, for the posh location it was in.
This place serves really good Italian food. I recently went there and had pizza and pasta. The pizza bread was amazingly fresh and tasted delicious. The pasta was also an absolute delight. The prices were in a fairly reasonable range. The décor was quite interesting and the staff was also very polite. You must try this place some time.

The food is also reasonably priced and will not burn a hole in your pocket. Would definitely visit this place again when visiting this side of town.
This place proves to be my favourite joint in the neighbourhood. With a service staff which always seems so amicable and approachable, one always has an enjoyable time here. The waiters are efficient and always pay heed to your needs. The 'day specials' are something I always look out for. I would really recommend this place!
I went to this place totally randomly while looking for a quick lunch. It is a very cute little italian restaurant. The waiter was very lovely and very nice, he was even trying to make jokes. I had lasagna and my friends had risotto and pizza. My plate was really good, I unfortunately didn't have a chance to taste the others' but according to them, it was good. Our plates came amazingly quickly, and we had a very nice and smooth lunch. We only paid around £10 per person, so for all these reasons, I will definitely go eat there whenever I am in the neighbourhood.

After a screening at the Institut Francais, we perhaps should have taken advantage of one of South Kensington's numerous French offerings. Instead, we head into a dim sum restaurant and then leave minutes later, disappointed to find that, despite the words 'Dim Sum' above the door, it is only served as a lunchtime offering. Disheartened, we weigh up our options, walking around the delightful pedestrianised area that is gently humming with conversation this cool Sunday evening.
After several menus have been pored over, and a Japanese favourite has been discovered closed, we opt for Italian. Pierino has a comfortingly stylish exterior, and we are seated immediately at a cosy table at the back of the restaurant. She orders gnocchi, I take a seafood risotto. Toothache is not pizza's best friend.
The food comes very quickly - we're caught offguard. The gnocchi, paired with fresh mushrooms and a heavenly tomato-based sauce is so moreish that I'm caught on several occasions scraping forkfuls from the side of the dish. My risotto is also tasty, though the seafood is hit and miss. Shells only come with food actually in them around 80% of the time and I'd have liked a little more than two of the succulent king prawns provided. The calimari, however, is perhaps the best I've ever had. So soft and tender, it's a revelation.
It seems to me that Pierino deserves repeat visits - and only then can one properly ascertain the meals worth coming back for. This is the sort of restaurant whose loyal customers are earned by chance, entirely dependent on what they choose on their first visit. Had I sampled only my dish, I'd have enjoyed a fine evening but seen no real reason to return. Having tried the gnocchi, though, I could happily return and explore the other options.
Great pizza, in a intimate and nice location. The prices were good. Only drawback was the straff who I think could've been more warming.

Really good, authentic food. The minestrone was fabulous. Blend of hearty, vegetables, served hot with just the right amount of salt. The veal saltimbocca was awesome. Flavorful with a touch of rosemary in the sauce. Tender and delicious to the last bite. The spaghetti pomodoro basilica was authentic sauce served with fresh basil. The pasta was al dente. Excellent, but simple, fish. This restaurant was far superior to the “modern” Italian more expensive places in London. The place was a little crowded due to its size and popularity. This place would be 5 stars but the service was a little slow and off. Service started out really strong but went downhill as the meal progressed and our server was switched. The waiter forgot my beer and it took about 10-15 minutes before another server came around. This place would be top notch if the service was better. I would go back though because the food was well above average and the prices were reasonable.
Loved it. We hadn't booked but they found us a table for two on a Friday night. The bruschetta and salad starter were delicious as was my pizza and my other half's spaghetti Bolognese. We will definitely return.

The creme mushroom penne was superb. Not too heavy. The service was great! I needed tape to bundle up some things from the NHM gift shop and they noticed I was struggling and provided tape!
Our favourite lunch spot when we're in the area. The staff are always lovely and the food is so tasty. My son is fussy about pizza but loves it here. He also loves the pasta straws. Definitely recommend Pierino.

Came to this restaurant before going to the National Museum of History.
Everything was fine. We had bruschetta, veggie cannelloni and some pasta. We would've gone for dessert as well but it was quite expensive. Almost the same price as my main course.
It's a small restaurant crammed with tables. Service was good.
Exceptional quality of food and excellent service!! Have had lasagne, then said to the manager that i can eat 5 of those. Surprisingly - he gave me two more for free 😀 😀 and two pieces of cakes on top of that!! Never ever experienced this attitude before. Well done and definitely back again 😃

Visited here for lunch back in 2017 on our way to the Pink Floyd Exhibition at the V&A, and had the greatest Caprese pizza in the history of the world, and that’s coming from a pizza connoisseur 🧐🍕

Edit: Revisited this place yesterday (23/4). Manager managed to squeeze us in at short notice on the proviso we could vacate by 6pm, but we weren’t rushed at all to do so. Manager was very polite, food was amazing!! This place does the best pizzas in London. Best place to go to if you’re attending a show locally or visiting one of museums. Try and get a seat outside, it’s ok as there’s not that much traffic.
