Best greasy spoon in london, try the £5 breakfast, nothing to beat it.
Think of your 'round the corner cafe. Add in some 70s furniture and your grey hair authentic waiters and you have Bar Bruno. Quick to serve and tasty to eat, if you are after a cooked cafe breakfast or a freshly made sandwich you cannot really go wrong here. The coffee rates too, not due to the bean, all thanks to the 70s coffee machine and 30s barrista.
Along with the Regent Cafe in Pimlico, this is where we should be sending our Olympic visitors if we want to show them the roots of British dining life.
I live round the corner from Bar Bruno and I always see tons of people eating In there. When finally I decided to go there (seriously hungover) I asked myself : why I haven't been here before!
Bad Bruno is a fusion of Italian and British cultures and cuisines.
The staff is mainly Italian and the shop has been on that corner for 30 years, they know how to make good home made food!
Bruno serves an affordable yet yummy English breakfast and the portions are enormous!
Try the Bruno's big breakfast and the selection of Italian toast and panini.
Well done Bruno!
P. S. hungover cured afterwards ;-)
Four visits to this place and I am still not done. Omelettes , paninis, pastas, all day breakfast, sandwiches (try the big Bruno club), Bruno classic burger - you will enjoy it all. You will find a wide mix of local workers and office goers sharing space here :) they play some good music too
This place is located in the heart of the city. You must visit this place if you want to eat a wholesome breakfast that can last the whole day for you. I am glad I visited this clean and warm place and was attended to by such courteous servers. My breakfast consisted of egg, bacon, sausage and a bubble. The preparation was fresh and you could eat to your hearts content. I am going to this place again for sure.
This is one cage that delights every time you visit it. If you happen to go on a pleasant day, you can sit at their outdoor seating. The food is very good value for money and is quite delectable and full of flavours. The staff is amicable, quick and efficient as well. This place is highly recommended.
If you happen to be a person who loves Italian food then this place has got a lot to offer. Yes, Bruno's is one of the best cafe around. Yes, the pricing is very reasonable. Yes, the crowd is pretty great. Yes, the ambiance compliments the decor. Yes, the food they serve is delicious. If you can shell out some bucks then I would recommend you to go for the panini's, they are mind blowing. Recommended.
If you are in the mood just grab a cup of tea and some egg bacon or sausage sandwiches to go with that then this is just the right place for you. You can just sit and enjoy reading your breakfast while you sip into your cuppa on one of the early morning breakfast occasions. Worth a visit!
This is the only place i trust for a quick bite. They have some amazing variety in sandwiches with some great toppings to chose from. I would also recommend their penne arrabiatta . On a great sunny day, order their coffee along with some comfort food. I would surely recommend this place to every one!
This is one place that takes you to a different world altogether. It is very reminiscent of the eras gone by; a perfect place for some great Italian cuisine. The menu here is quite extensive and varied for all three meals. I have gone here for breakfast, dinner and lunch. The food is amazing and I have never gotten tired of it. Definitely recommended.
If you are looking for a quick sandwich on the go on your way back from work then you should definitely stop at this place and grab a yummy cucumber sandwich. The price at which it is being offered is just amazing and you will enjoy every bit of your sandwich. Worth a visit!
Bar Bruno happens to be a sheer satisfaction. This place has everything anyone could ever ask for. The food is great, the service offered is brilliant. The decor is pretty exquisite and the ambiance is very exciting and energetic. If you happen to be a commercial music lover then this place would definitely suit you. Excellent value for money. Recommended highly.
If you are in the mood to grab a quick lunch then this is the right place for you. I always seem to pass by and stop for a quick sandwich and love the variety that is being offered. The guys who run the place are very friendly and love their work. I am glad that I found out this place.
I cannot believe that i have been going to this area since a long time and never actually tried out this place. Last time, i finally decided to try it out. I ordered a salad and it was too huge that it filled me up for the whole day. IT was freshly prepared and extremely delicious!
It's definitely the cheaper place for taste a good and huge English breakfast (5 pounds) even the other main are really massive for a good taste and really affordable price , the service is really basic but the staff is polite , it's the right place for young people for kill the hungover or for just people want to eat some thing good in a easy place .......
I rate this place very highly not because of its hoity toity menu, fancy imported ingredients or overattentive staff; this place does not try yet succeeds beyond belief. Despite its central location, it is often overlooked by most people, fading into the background of the glitz of upmarket restaurants nearby. However, this is one of the reasons I love it; it is for the people and not for the show.Pop in to say hi to Bruno and to perv at their counter where you can visually select what you fancy eating that day. I started coming here when I was first househunting in London and was always comforted by the paninis in their display counter being about the size of my head. I used to tuck myself inside, sharing jokes with the neon-jacketed punters, whereas now I like to dine outside, enjoying the breeze and people-watching the Soho streets. Service gives you what you want without trying too hard, food is what it says on the menu (although probably twice the size of what you were expecting). It is also very reasonable; £5.50 for a 'chicken salad'; an array of potato salad, green salad, beetroot, coleslaw, tomatos, cucumber and of course, strips of gently fried chicken escalope. For those with 'eyes bigger than belly', have it parcelled up to take home and snaffle at a later moment.I would call it an unpretentious Italian café that can cater for those after a coffee, a frappe, a fry up or gigantic sandwich, Basically, a range of sustenance on a humble menu at a small price. Eat away your hangover without eating away your budget, and enjoy a non-chain experience!
What's not to love. A proper Italian caff in central soho. £6.50 for a full all day breakfast with excellent bubble and squeak, quality bacon and sausage and tea and toast. It's smartened up recently which is in keeping with area so inevitable. The pictures on the wall of 1960's soho are great. Just what we wanted in a sea of chains.
Absolutely AMAZING locals joint in Soho. Did not disappoint on breakfast sandwiches or a beautiful full English breakfast. Eggs, bacon, hashed brown, baked beans, another hashed brown, sausage, toast... along with black pudding, bubble and squeak, and mushrooms.
The beans were delicious on the toast. Everything was great with HP sauce which I'm now obsessed with. And it came with a tasty cup of tea. This is exactly the full English breakfast experience I was looking for. Look no further.
It helps that it is clearly a small family-run establishment with friendly service and regular customers. Such a great atmosphere. I feel like I could live here.
Great service, fantastic food, and reasonable prices. What more could you ask for? Don't go anywhere else for breakfast in Soho. This is the place
If you are looking for a sandwich for lunch in the Soho area then Bar Bruno is a good option. But don't sit in. There isn't any space and their seating downstairs are really average.
I ordered the lox sandwich and bubble and squeak. The sandwiches are also good but not mind blowing.
If you can try go for their Italian sandwiches.
Bar Bruno is a small, family-run cafe in Wardour Street, London. It's been serving up classic British and Italian dishes for many years. The cafe is known for its friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, and satisfying food.
I recently visited Bar Bruno for breakfast and ordered the eggs benedict. The eggs were perfectly poached, the hollandaise sauce was rich and creamy, and the thick English muffin was toasted to perfection. The dish was also generous in size, and I left feeling full and satisfied.
In addition to the eggs benedict, Bar Bruno also offers a variety of other breakfast and lunch options, including omlettes, toasties, sandwiches, pies and salads. There's also a selection of coffees, teas, and pastries.
Overall, I had a great experience at Bar Bruno. The food was great, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice informal place to eat in Soho.
Just started eating here regularly as it's close to my work. An excellent cup of tea. Service is prompt and friendly. The team seem happy. Working my way through the menu to find my favourite dish...but it's all so good.

Great choice for an authentic English breakfast! Perfect location, efficient staff and DELICIOUS food. Besides eating in, I could see a lot of people have their take aways. Here you can also find authentic Italian products, since the owner is Italian (as far as I understand). I totally recommend it!
I think this might be my go-to breakfast place. Definitely worth the price and service was fast aswell. Shout out to my lovely waitress. Will defo come back soon
Outstanding quality and service each time I have been. Always a place to visit when coming to London! Great prices and great quality.
We came there by recommendation to try true English breakfast. We made a mistake ordering two meals :) the portions are huge and very rich. Even though it looks simple it is very good. Service is very nice too.
We tried Eggs Benedict and Vegeterian English breakfast. Everything was quite delicious and we like the service. The atmosphere was very cosy too.
I really enjoyed this jem of a corner "greasy spoon". I had the Bruno's Big Breakfast, completely fabulous but way too big for me. Cooked to perfection though. I highly recommend this place for breakfasts though they do much more.
Cosy and atmospheric with great food and coffee. The eggs were poached to perfection and the salmon tasted so fresh! Highly recommend passing by for breakfast or lunch when nearby.
Best coffee in london!
Amazing coffee
Great service
Tasty food
And there is toilets
Top notch tucker. Unfussy caff serving absolutely cracking breakfasts - came here looking for something to soak up the booze after a big night out and it was absolutely perfect. Friendly staff, quick service, reasonable prices and places to sit (liked the booth!). Very generous portions, and super tasty full English. What more could you want?
Wow! Delicious, Fast, Classic English Breakfast! Good quality food and service was great! Friendly staff and sat right down! 😍
My favourite place to eat in London! Relaxed and friendly service, fantasy food and they truly serve the best breakfast in town. 10/10 every time ❤️
This is the kind of place you want to get your English breakfast from. Incredibly friendly staff, quick service, super atmosphere. The food is amazingly greasy and decadent. The full experience!
Really good experience. Here you can try de classic english breakfast, served fast and not pricey! Located in the heart of soho. Must try if you're in London!
If you like a greasy spoon (and that is not an insult), this place knows how to do it properly. Great food, the heart of Soho. It won't set the foodies heart alight, but it does what it's supposed to do, which is fill you full of great food.
